I ordered the materials for my garage rebuild on Oct. 19 with guaranteed delivery scheduled for yesterday, Nov. 7. I called the morning of the 7th to verify delivery and was told by the local store that I was the first scheduled delivery of the day and that delivery would happen "any time now". I never received a call for delivery, which I found odd, but since I was not at the house and busy I was unable to check for delivery until 6pm last night. Surprisingly, the materials were not there. I attempted to contact delivery through the store but did not receive a promised call back from the "customer service" rep that I spoke to in 30 min so called the corporate number. After being shifted to multiple departments I was eventually forwarded to the manager of the local store, who was actually who had never called me back in the first place and had only introduced herself as customer service. She made it seem like my concerns regarding my delivery not arriving, which pushed back the construction begin time was an unfounded concern and actually expressed frustration that I had reached out to corporate. I begged her to please have the delivery here ASAP on the morning of the 8th, and she said she wouldn't be in the store in the morning but that she would send an email. I called back at 7:08 this morning and was told that the delivery guys had just clocked in and would begin loading the materials. Again, I stressed that I needed the delivery ASAP and that my contractor was onsite without materials to begin work. The morning manager also acted like I was overacting and that there was no reason for frustration. Finally, at 8:40 this morning the materials arrived. Please keep in mind that I live less than two miles from the store location. Also, IT WAS ONE PALLET OF MATERIALS. No apologies by the local management, but a lot of attitude. When I expressed my frustration to corporate, he said he would forward my concerns to the local store! I am fed up with Lowes. They cost me a good deal of money and time this morning and did not even attempt to get the supplies here in a quick manner. Never again will I support Lowes. Very disappointed former customer. if i could leave 0 stars i would. we recently moved into a new house and was in need of new dryers and washers. on 07/09/23 we bought the samsung ones at this store and asked them if we can have it delivered. the delivery team came 3 days later and can i just say, worst expirience ever. they dryer came dented on the side and told us we would be able to exchange it for new ones. when they were taking the washer out, they ran the cable over with a wheel and was dragging across concrete. so not only the dryer was damaged, they also damaged the washer cable on spot. we told them we would like to exchange both the dryer and washer and they told us we can and they would deliver it and exchange it for the damaged ones. 2 weeks go by and the delivery team comes again, only with the dryer this time. they said we never put in a request for the washer and i reassured them we did and showed them the damage, the 2 guys that were checking the damage out went to the other guy that was at our first delivery meet. the 2 guys explained the situation and the firt meet guy says "they did the damage themselves on the spot, so it wasnt us". they were also judging and laughing at us because we spoke a different language other then english and couldnt "understand properly" (i speak fluently in english). the audacity to say that!! and they thought we didnt hear him say that but we clearly did. as they were taking out the dryer, its damaged. same spot as the other one. i told them to take it back and bring us a new onr. they once again said, we could exchange it. i ask about the washer because they didnt even bring it, and said they would deliver the dryer and washer. so now here we are, almost a month after we bought the washer/dryer set, and no new ones without any damages. other reviews and family members i see had the same problem with this lowes. worst store ever. wouldn't recommend. read more

Their newly-adopted return policy doesn't allow for returns after 90 days, whether you have the receipt or not. I was attempting to return a vent that cost about 20 bucks, I didn't have my receipt and anticipated they would simply offer store credit (as do their competitors). The records didn't show in their system because I paid cash. I have literally spent thousands with Lowe's with several recent, large remodeling projects. I will no longer do business here, they have lost a customer. read more

Personally I don't really even know the difference between Lowe's and Home Depot. The prices seem the same, the only difference really is the store layout. I go to Lowe's because it is right next to the Target and that makes it convenient. read more

Since Menards is almost always a better deal I only stop by Lowes for things that Menards doesn't carry or at least not in a style that I like. Typical examples are bathroom vanities, sinks, faucets, and light fixtures. I usually won't pay Lowes prices unless I have a gift card (can be bought online for 10-13% below face value) AND a 10% off coupon (can also be bought online). With this effective 22% off I'll buy the things I need and also might pick up some commodity items like rolls of copper wire. If this were my only experience at lowes I'd probably give them 3-4 stars. I recently decided to buy a 5x8 trailer from this Lowes store. I had over $1k in store credit from some items I'd returned before. At first they refused to accept store credit for a trailer purchase, which doesn't make any sense. After about an hour of absurdity and recruiting about 7 different people in the store including the manager we got it done after all. Went outside to find the trailer had some broken lights and we couldn't pick another trailer because Lowes had already registered that trailer for me. When I suggested that we swap the broken lights out with another trailer a store employee had to go inside and get a new toolset off of the shelf to try to work on the lights. After a lot of wasted time nothing got fixed and we really had to leave, but I got an assurance that the store manager would be contacting me about the lights to propose a fix. Never heard anything. This was all extremely irritating and I regret buying a trailer from Lowes. read more

I normally get great service here...BUT this weekend I went in with my children to get some paint. I stood at the paint counter for 10 minutes and watched two workers have a broom fight. They both looked at me several times and never asked if I needed help. I asked the cashier if he could call someone to the paint counter....he said-ask one of them. I said....I've been standing here for 15 minutes now and neither one has come to help me. He flags them down and points at me. The guy asks....do you need help???? No I've been standing here for 15 minutes staring at the counter for no reason.....what a joke. read more

Bad customer service. The guy working in the storm door section was a complete jerk for no reason. I asked him a simple question and he was clearly annoyed. I don't typically speak ill off lowes, but I have to say this kind of experience really shakes my confidence in this location. Want a good experience? Go somewhere else. After we paid for our carpet, Lowe's never called to schedule the installation. We called to check in and were told someone would call us the next day. We continued to call everyday to follow up. I spent a week trying to inquire about restock/availability of a particular item and establish a price match on that and one more item and was bounced via email between three reps who all failed to move the conversation forward until I was connected with an assistant manager who scribbled a two-line dismissive apology that had nonsense formatting, contained multiple grammatical errors, and failed to actually provide any information I had asked for aside from acknowledging that it was not available to order. Purchased new carpet for my living and bedrooms, and vinyl flooring for my kitchen. Great selection of both in my price range (economic!), and the installers did an AMAZING job! I would highly recommend them! I will absolutely use Lowes for flooring installation again. read more

Our previous experience as been it's hard to find someone to help and when we did - they haven't been nice - but never outright rude.. Well, yesterday my husband went to the lumber section and found someone to help - except the old man couldn't be bothered except to make snide and rude comments. He had a huge chip on his shoulder and was letting every single customer know it. He refused to be bothered to help my husband find the lumber he needed but then had to responded to the call to "help a customer get an item down from the top shelf". The Lowe's employee then proceeded to tell my husband in his snottiest voice that the lumber on top wasn't all they had out and he (my husband) should have gotten from this other aisle. I think this is the last time we go there, I'm tired of my husband coming home from the hardware store pissed off because of CSAs with attitudes. read more

This store is the absolute worst! On 10/07/18 I ordered and scheduled a delivery for 10/15/18. I get a call on 10/14/18 confirming my scheduled delivery window for 10/15/18 for 10am-2pm. So I am home waiting for the delivery during that time slot. Lowe's DOES NOT SHOW UP! I call in and am told that the appliance I ordered did not arrive until the morning of 10/15/18 so could not be delivered that day. So, the head of the delivery department, Andrew, was supposed to call me. He never called me to let me know of any details. Instead, I had to call in and speak with Andrew. I am then told that the appliance did not show up on the morning of 10/15/18, but it was scheduled to be delivered to the store on 10/17/18. Then Andrew says that it will be delivered on Thursday 10/18/18. So, I did not receive a phone call the night of 10/17/18. I call in this morning and am told that the appliance will not be delivered today or even this week! The next closest time is next Tuesday! Whenever we shop at Home Depot, we have people all over us wanting to help, BUT when you go to Lowes, there is NEVER ANYONE available!! We went in to buy an entire deck of Trec decking. To our dismay, no one was there. We had them call someone to help and about 20 minutes later here comes a guy who didn't know anymore than we did about it!! There were only a couple of samples of the decking and there wasn't any pricing information anywhere to be found!! This happens every time we go to Lowes. My wife and I purchased a Samsung dish washer from the Champaign, IL location on 11/28/2017 where it was supposedly ordered. I got a call from the installers on 12/1/2017 and set an install appointment on 12/12/2017 between 9 and 11AM. On 12/12/2017 at 10:53 AM I got a phone call from the service desk stating that the installers had been there to pick up the dishwasher twice and that no one could find it. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that they were currently on the other line with another customer and that he would call me back in 20 minutes. 45 minutes went by and I decided to go get the receipt from my wife and just make a trip to the store. After waiting an hour and a half I finally get a phone call from a manager and advise that I was in town and just going to stop by the store. When I got there I talked to Melanie. She helped the situation and did a partial reimbursement and re ordered the dishwasher and rushed it. We were told then that as soon as the dishwasher got there that we would be hearing from the installers to set up a time and date to install. On 12/20/2017 I called to check on the status of the ordered dishwasher due to us not hearing anything, I was told that the dishwasher was received 12/18/2017 and that I should hear from the installer in the next day or 2. On 12/23/2017 my wife and I were in the area and still hadn't heard anything from the installer so we talked to the manager on duty (Travis) and filled him in on the situation. He looked into it and said that the issue was that the new dishwasher was ordered under a different phone number (my wife's) and the installer hadn't been notified that the dishwasher was there. The manager then told us that he would call the installer and we should hear something Tuesday or Wednesday. I didn't hear anything Wednesday 12/27/2017 so I emailed corporate that evening. Thursday morning I got an email back stating that the head store manager would be getting in touch with me about the issue. By 10:30 the installers had then called and scheduled the install and I had a voice mail from the store manager stating that there had been a miscommunication and he is taking care of everything right then and there. Dish washer was finally installed 1/2/2018 with no issues and a great product. If you are wanting an appliance in a timely manner it wont happen, just feel like the ball was dropped way to many times. Hope our next appliance purchase wont be as painful. read more
