If you are a driver for any app that picks up or clothes, unlike every other company, including ones similar to theirs that have large loads of soil or mulch or grass Lowe's will not help you and they're very rude about it. I understand as a driver when you select an order that you are required to unload it but why can't they help load 1520 bags? It's a bunch of BS. I'll never pick up another order for that location again because I can get better treatment when picking up orders for same-day delivery elsewhere and just get paid as much. Beware LOWE's Delivery Service. It is marginal at best. They imply that they can come back same day as they cannot according to policy unhook waterlines for fridge removals and installations. Following their instructions, call the store for us to come back - I got BURNED. Of course they couldn't come back same day - no matter what they implied. I should have gone with another store where the delivery is handled by the actual store and not contracted out, where customer satisfaction is priority over delivery speed. We had wood floors installed, not only did they up charge us staying they needed to level our floor with cement, but the made the floor too high and now they can't put our doors back on because they're too "tall". They stated we would need to hire someone to have our doors cut. The installers also cut our carpet too short on the stairs leaving a gap between the hardwood floor and the carpet. The carpet is hanging out and shedding all over due to being cut wrong. I will never be using Lowe's again and I HIGHLY suggest you look elsewhere. Our installers didn't speak any English either. My daughter and I recently visited this location to buy a refrigerator and a washer & dryer for her new home. She knew what she wanted - features and dimensions - and had some time to look around the floor before finding some help. Once she was helped the process of buying all three appliances and setting up delivery went smoothly. Lowe's uses a third party deliverer and that's where the issues were. Minor - leaving an item on the truck that needed to returned for refund. Scuffing the brand new kitchen floor ( I was able to get it up with considerable scrubbing). Major - banging the washer & dryer down concrete stairs a few times. Not hooking up the dryer because a fuse blew and left as I was flipping the switch. They didn't hook the dryer up at all - not plugging in, not attaching brackets or vent hose. Also major - hooking the water hoses up incorrectly. My daughter did her first load and ended up washing and rinsing that load of laundry with hot water. So we had to switch the hoses around. How about ensuring and stating to the customer that we don't accept employees getting irate, yelling, verbally and physically getting aggressive or intimidating customers, nor do we allow them to demean customers and speak to them as less than human. Unfortunately that was my experience at this Lowe's and Lowe's will not tell me of any actions that they have taken except that they documented the incident and sorry I had a bad experience. It was traumatic and even though I asked I didn't hear anything about giving employees more training on how to interact with customers, deescalate situations, or how Lowe's would prevent this from happening to anyone else. I can get to Home Depot with fewer turns and lights, so that's usually where I end up, but Lowe's often has one or two items I can't find there. Most recently I went to replace some old paint the previous homeowners had left in order to patch up a wall. Unfortunately the paint was so old Lowe's doesn't sell the brand any more but the paint tech offered to try and match the color and finish. The color ended up just a shade lighter than the original so I ended up repainting the whole wall anyway, but I really appreciated her taking the time to try and get a good match. Lowe's loses points (as does Home Depot) for mask enforcement. I placed an order at the Beechmont location this morning. I paid $69 for delivery. With the delivery cost included my order was $205. I received email that part of my order would be delivered and part I would have to pick up. I reasoned that the larger items were not coming from that store, thus the need for me to pick up the three smaller items. When the larger delivery arrived this afternoon, I asked the driver where he picked it up. He said it came from the Beechmont store. I called the store to try to get an answer. I talked to three different people and had to start over with my situation each time. Each one said they would help and would be right back, but then I got a different person. They last person said he was sorry, but that I would have to come pick up my three smaller items. I paid $69 for delivery of all of my items. My experience with this Lowe's is that it is there. It gets the job done. Nothing really stands out. Nothing I am truly disappointed with either. This location is large and clean. Selection in the departments I visited was good. Maybe too good. Where I was looking, I noticed outdated packaging on several products. (I had purchased the newer products elsewhere.) Sometimes that is all it is, outdated packaging. Other times it means not getting the updated products, and paying the same price as other stores. I'm not sure exactly which location had the salesperson come to our home for our front door, but they MAJORLY screwed up. We ordered a door with sidelights in January this year, expecting it in March. Due to a series of delays, mostly parts being shipped from China, we FINALLY got our door today (8/23/21). Problem is, the holes for the doorknobs are on the WRONG side. We can't use the door as is, so now we have to wait for them to correct their error. Pleasantly surprised by the level of friendliness and customer service at this spot. I was approached when i was longingly looking at the empty spots for the dyson floor vacs, and the employee actually wound up giving me the floor/display model for a discount. I didn't expect that at all, and was thrilled to get it cheaper than i'd anticipated. I was literally on my phone trying home depot and other local spots to see who had some in stock. I didn't get that guy's name, but it was also the end of his shift, which was more nice of him to initiate our interaction at the end of his day. I know the guy who took over for him was Travis. He helped make sure it was functional, which involved plugging it in at his desk while helping other customers to let it charge up a bit, and then testing it with me. It was just really nice of them, and they totally didn't have to do that. I hadn't even asked for help. Then on my way out, i was wandering around the store with the wonky box (since i didn't really repackage everything perfectly), and a few more people asked if they could help me with a return or anything else. Wound up getting directions from them to find some other things i was after. Different day: their online pickup is ON POINT. I recall going to another Lowe's closer to the Kenwood area... and online pickup was always a nightmare with them. This location was ready to go, friendly, happy to help, and I was in and out in under 5 minutes. They made my day better both times I've been in so far. Highly recommend. read more

This is my go to store for my hardware needs. They tend to have some products that the other big box stores do not (wet and forget). There is plenty of parking near the entry so that you do not have to drag the heavy items a mile to your car. The staff is well educated and informed about the products they carry. Today was a little difficult to find someone to help me find a certain product but this is not the normal. Everyone is in a good mood which I appreciate. Location wise this is one of the larger, better stocked Lowes in the area, especially when it comes to the garden center, however inside and out they seem to have staffing issues. I have come here recently at multiple times of day and different days of the week and it is always the same, no one to ask for help or even where something might be. This most recent visit a group of customers and I banned together to help eachother find our items because even customer service only had 2 people and couldnt help us. The garden center was even worse with only 1 cash register open and over a 20 min wait to check out with no one else in the center to ask questions. Had a contractor take back what he didn't use after I bought the stuff with him. He returned the supplies he didn't use and they gave him an in store credit card. He gave it to me because it was my money. Well Lowe's is keeping my money because it was attached to his license. The contractor is long gone and there is no way to get my money back. They won't even work with you. I use to do it all the time with contractors until they just changed their policy without tell a soul !! So those in store credits are a scam to keep your money !!! I needed a sturdy 2x4 stud to use as a level in order to lift a piece of furniture to level it with wooden shim. I found a piece of scrap 2x4 the right length in the 75% clearance bin. When I went to the checkout. The nice lady could not find a price marking on it. She said it would not cost more than $1.50. So she decided to just give it to me. I ordered a set of two garage doors from Lowe's in March 2021. I was told it would take 6 weeks. Six weeks went by but no garage doors. I was told that they were shipped from Wayne/Dalton (overhead Garage doors) in July. This was not true. Again I was given a new date of August 10th. Today, August 21, Lowe's Installation Services called and asked about my doors. They at first had the July date. After checking with their vendor, the date is now October 14 for the doors to be shipped to the installer. By the way, I paid Lowe's the full amount in April. There specifically is a Younger lady who works in the flooring-ish department who really knows her stuff and I've had a few really great experiences with her. My location is so incompetent. I can't believe the problems that I have had. I hired Lowes to install a storm door and there has been no communication and the store is calling me asking who their contractor is. I have no idea. I have called the store numerous times and used the texting feature, I texted with Jenna and then Faith and the were no help. I would give no star! However, that's not an option. So our experience in 2 weeks time to get our washer and dryer. We went to Lowe's the day we moved to get a new washer and dryer. We purchased both with pedestals so we thought. We also arranged for delivery 2 weeks out because it was all they had. So we called to assure that the delivery would happen as scheduled so we knew if we had to go to the laundromat again. So we were assured that the washer and dryer would be delivered on Sunday. Asked about the pedestals. They never put it on our bill and we did not notice. So we went back to Lowe's and made sure they still had them the guy we talked to at appliances gave us a discount for our trouble, assured us they were in the store and that they would be on the delivery for Sunday. So low and behold the delivery arrives and no pedestals. I have a deteriorating back disease and needed these to make this chore easier for me. We asked the men Delivering appliances and they said they were not on the delivery sheet. So we call Lowe's and spoke with a manager. He said that he could not guarantee a delivery to work into our schedule. So we again have to wait until Saturday for something we have already purchased in full made a special trip to get the pedestals that we're not added to the original order/purchase and a delivery that was set up over two weeks ago. We get no consideration at all. So I have already purchased 5000.00 worth of appliances that are yet to be delivered. I find this to be a sad way to treat customers and not one person today would commit to anything. I usually love to shop at the Mt Moriah Lowes, but today, not so much. The outdoor plant selection was great for this time of year, but at least 2 of the staff who were putting out or watering planted did not have on a mask. When we got to the checkout, Teresa had on a very tiny mask which was under her nose and barely covered her mouth.The line was moving slowly because she had to have an animated discussion with each customer. When we finally got to check out, I politely asked her to please pull up her mask, which was met with rolled eyes and a "huff". She jerked the mask up over her nose, which left her mouth exposed. This made for an anxious and upsetting experience at Lowes. I know it is hard to police customers where masks are concerned but I expect more of the employees. read more

My 3rd time dealing with the lumber department and my last! (Why did it take me so long?) About 18 months ago, I needed some lumber cut and no one in the store was trained to use the saw; about 6 months ago I was also in need of lumber cut and yes, there was someone trained to use the saw but he/she called in sick and no one else could do it! Why do they have people working in the lumber department who can't use a saw!?!? Today, I needed one deck post cut. The first two people I spoke to (you guessed it) weren't trained to use the saw. The 3rd person could use the saw but "can't cut a 4x4 and our saw can't do that anyway." Wait- you are a lumberyard that sells 4x4s, you are a tool store that sells saws but you can't cut a 4x4. The manager was of zero help - "I'm sorry. I do the best I can." That's sad because what you are doing isn't very good. read more

I bought a craftsman mower from here back in February, used it 5 times max and it breaks down, it was like pulling teeth to get it picked up and repaired. Two days after getting it back it breaks again. No one can tell me anything and they want to charge me for something I already paid $1500 for. I ordered replacement French doors to be installed at my house and Lowes sent someone out to measure the opening. He measured incorrectly, so when the door arrived he had to jam it into place (it was crooked and did not leave room to open properly). After a few months it was apparent that it did not fit because every time we had a hard rain the water would flow into the room. I eventually (after several months) managed to get someone back out to look at the door and then the new person discovered the poor workmanship that had been performed by the first person. Several more months passed before they could get a replacement door in and I still had to call and go over several times to get them to schedule the installation. When they installed the new door they discovered the water had rotted the baseboards (and probably the drywall and carpet) and were at least going to replace the baseboards...that was at least 4 months ago and I have not been able to even get them to call me). I have told them that I would never have them do an install again for me. read more
