After we got what we need, although there is check out sign at the garden center, but it's not in operation. We will need to go back to where we come in. This time, i try to push the button so the door will open automatically. But to my surprise, the button leads to the big garage kind of door moving up. Hahaha.. the staff inside is kind enough to close it for us.

How you perceive Menards (and Home Depot and Lowes) depends on what you are trying to accomplish…read more Home Depot caters to the DIY home owner. It has limited selection and generally carries low end fixtures from China. Lowes has a somewhat better selection for items like tile and lighting and it has the best selection in lawn and garden during the Spring planting season. Menards is more oriented toward the needs of construction professionals. Everything that a contractor might need in the way of paint, electrical, plumbing, roofing and lumber is typically in stock. I rehab older houses and these usually involve extensive rewiring and plumbing tasks, so Menards is where I go first for construction materials. Unless you are looking for cheap Chinese made lighting and plumbing fixtures, I don't recommend any of the big three home improvement chains. If you want quality, your best option is to search the internet or visit specialty vendors for items like high end lighting, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, and granite countertops. But that takes you out of the range of what DIYer can reasonably handle.

The Tile Shop - The final 3. Shower and wall tile, shower floor tile and bathroom floor tile.

We've had one heck of a time at the tile shop. The color of the tile advertised at the store was…read morevastly different than what showed up with the order. While we expected some variation in the color we did NOT expect as much variation as was given to us. If this much variation is normal, the display at the store is extremely misleading and no store associate communicated that. When my wife approached the store about it, they more or less told her "too bad" and it's on us to deal with it. They said they'd give us a small discount if we wanted to buy more so we could get more light colors, but that is, after being so incredibly misled, not nearly enough when you're buying expensive tile for a big bathroom project. We'll never shop here again and spread the word to as many as we know to just go with Home Depot or Lowe's. At least they'll correct a wrong, especially when it's so blatant. Also, not sure how much this might matter, but this is my first ever negative review about a place of business on any app/social media/etc. I have, up to this point in my life, only given positive reviews and enjoy doing so, especially when we receive top notch service (at a place like Steele's Hometown Tire in Burlington for example). We have never been treated with such disregard before and I just hope this review at least forewarns others before shopping there. Thank you.

Saw works great now. They even gave me a gift card because of the terrible experience that I had with my saw not being sharpened. Since Great Lakes Ace had taken care of my problem this morning, the previous 1 star rating has now become 5 stars. I will now continue to shop at Great Lakes Ace. Yours truly, Bernard J. They provided great communication, and went the (literal) extra mile to get a grill from another store, assemble it, and drop it off to my dad a day early. In a time when every business is struggling to find help, this store rallied and proved their commitment. Thank you! Original: Unbelievable. I ordered a grill to be delivered assembled to my father on Father's Day. Two days before Father's Day, I received an email that says, "hey, we are sorry, but your order is canceled." When I called the one 800 number for customer service, the response was, "Yes, it is canceled. And we cannot reactivate a canceled order. Is there anything else I can do for you?"
