Went for some plants. This store keeps their plant stock relatively well watered and also has good discounts on not so healthy or over abundance stock. Staff is usually very helpful or find someone that is. Prices are maybe a tad higher than others but stock is healthy! Our plants transplanted well! read more

This review focuses mainly on the appliance depth. There seems to be a Great Raping of America going on by large corporations. Sixteen years ago we bought FROM Lowes a Whirlpool front load washer and dryer. We also bought at the same time Whirlpool pedestals for each. We have been very happy with both appliances but after 16 years the dryer is starting to act up. I totally understand we have received good service out of these appliances. So we start shopping to replace both the washer and dryer. I want to preface the following comments with I still have the receipts for the old appliances and pedestals proving we purchased them at Lowes in Clarksville. After a couple visits to Lowes, we decide on a new pair of Whirlpool front loading appliances. As we speak to the (very nice) lady, I mention we already have pedestals for both the washer and dryer. The sales person comments our old pedestals probably won't fit the new appliances. I assured her I had done my homework and they were compatible. I had done all the measurements, checked how both new pedestals and my old ones mounted. I even found they ARE compatible on Whirlpool's own website. Now, I have convinced the sales lady so she goes and gets a woman I'm guessing was the department manager. This woman was downright militant! She started by insisting my old pedestals would not mount the same, or were weaker etc etc. She said I would have to buy two new pedestals at $300 each. I explained I wasn't spending an extra $600 needlessly. This woman then stated the delivery guys would not remove my old pedestals and attach them to the new appliances, eventhough they would dismount the old ones to haul off the old appliances. I explained I had purchased the pedestals right there at Lowes. I even offered to pay extra for the delivery/haul off. She finally stated I would have to buy new pedestals and turned around and walked away. Needless to say I won't be buying at Lowes. Full disclosure, I got pretty much the same answer, but in a nicer manner, from Home Depot. Finally, I have found an independent appliance store that WILL make the pedestal exchange for a small additional fee. Plus they will match the big box stores prices on the washer and dryer. I love Lowe's. Every time I come here, the employees are friendly, eager to help, and almost always knowledgeable. And, whenever I find one who doesn't know the answer to my question, he/she is happy to find out. And I don't get ignored or talked down to like I do with the guys in orange. read more

In the Battle of the Big Box Hardware Store, Lowe's has always come out on top for me, the orange one down the street a little lower on the list. I've come to rely on Lowe's for do-it-yourself quick fixes to larger projects. They almost always have the parts/pieces/equipment I need, and often (not always) the best advice. Every major appliance purchase has come from Lowe's, and not only was it at a good price, but also came with great installation. We recently had to replace our dishwasher. The previous one (also purchased from Lowe's) got noisy. Really noisy. SO noisy we had to run it while we weren't at home, which I'm sure traumatized our dogs. A quick trip and more money that we'd planned on spending and *ska-DOOSH* Brand new, very quiet dishwasher. I'd like to note and pass along that Lowe's has a great Military discount program. You have to sing up for it in advance and provide proof, but the discount is good for 10% off of just about everything as long as it's not discounted or marked down, including appliances. The orange box store down the road tops that discount off at anything priced over $500, and now has a yearly limit if $400/years. #NotCool The Military discount, while part of the reason I prefer to shop at Lowe's, isn't the only reason. They tend to be well staffed and the people, in our experience, have always been great. The drive to this Lowe's is probably double my drive to the orange box store down the road, but is very much worth it. read more

I thank Lowes for providing Veteran Parking. I am a 22 year Navy Veteran, but even better, I had a Vietnam Combat Marine Veteran with me today and parked close to the door. I received help in the plumbing section where a store associate found me what I was looking for, then John opened a cash register to get me checked out sooner, as it was a little busy at the Contractor's end of the store. The people in charge should bring back cash registers to the middle front of the store. Just a suggestion I heard from others beside myself. I ordered online, a Craftsman pressure washer. When I went to the3 store to pick it up, the manager to me the one I ordered was in the back to be sent out for repairs. What? I asked, yes it shows it being in inventory even though it's for repairs. So guess what, I went to Home Depot and purchased one, they had them in stock and not in the back. read more

Lowe's sells Lenovo brand window blinds and I asked if I could bring the ones i was taking down to be trimmed for different windows. I was specifically told that if they were Lenovo brand then yes, I could. I tried that today and was instead told that they could only trim blinds out of the box because the trim system requires bar codes. Bait and switch? Most likely. This is why I shop more and more at Menards and HD. read more

The female employee they have checking people out in the hardware department is VERY RUDE. We just spent a lot of money buying supplies for our bathroom and she was clearly struggling mentally and physically so my husband was trying his best to help her by moving the heaviest stuff around to get them out of the way for her to continue checking us out (after she already had to clear our order and start over again, once) when she started *yelling* at my husband "NOT DONE YET!" four times! Not acceptable and we will not shop here again. read more

If you are going to buy paint and see an older gentlemen at the paint center, walk away. He's abrasive, and answers question abruptly "that's up to you"!, in the most condescending way possible. So don't ask questions regardless of what you ask, he doesn't want to bother with you. read more

I really do like Lowe's. In my experience, help can always be found. The employees are very knowledgeable and will take their time in explaining the pro's and con's to a particular product. I appreciate this time spent because it allows me to make an informed decision and not leave the store wondering if I made the right choice. I've found their product selection to often be wider and much nicer than their competitor, particularily the home decor section. Ordered a washer/dryer to be delivered, on Friday the 25th of March. Email said delivery between 12-4pm... 5pm no delivery, I called spoke to a associate who was no help. 6pm NO delivery, again called spoke with manager NO help told me they have been known to deliver up to 9pm. 8:15 phone call from Retail Dirext (3rd party delivery) was told NO delivery, reason unknown.. Unknown?? Saturday am get email delivery rescheduled to TUESDAY! I called store and spoke to Another manager, told him NO we need the washer/dryer asap! He said will have it there Sunday. It's 451 pm Sunday and NO delivery and can't get a hold of a single person at this store. I will NEVER buy from this store again! read more

What you need to know about Lowe's is that Lowe's always has what I need. So today we dropped by Lowe's as I needed to pick up a bag of fertilizer. After waiting around in the appliance department for a really long time I found that place to be a ghost town and one person too busy with her computer to be bothered, so I went up to the main Customer Service desk in the front. This Lowe's has the worst customer service. We ordered a new walk in shower door back in March. We paid to have them come out & measure. It took over a month and a half for the shower door to arrive. It was the wrong door. So they took it back & re-ordered the door. We are still waiting for the door. It's now 6/7 and no shower door. We did interest free financing and have been making payments on a shower door we don't even have. Their people promoting call us with updates and don't bother to call. My husband calls them weekly and we get the same run around. Once the door comes in and we have it installed I will never shop at this location again read more

Who is running this clown of a store for deliveries???? The drivers shouldn't be expected to be managers of their scheduling as well. I went to Facebook and Twitter after talking with the Clarksville Indiana store three different times today with Erin and the delivery person Kevin as well because delay after delay of an item I ordered in early August that I know was on the truck unless the manager at that store was lying earlier today who then told me they had to make room for my items on their truck and its 5:22pm now and I've been advised it wont be delivered til later on tonight. Twitter has not responded and the FB team for Lowes sent me a rant and rave webpage.....Which means no one in customer service there is allowed make decisions that would help improve their impression of customer service. Facebook posting below with replies- So Lowe's, where is the order I placed August 19th that should have been delivered today? It's the end of the day, was there no emphasis placed on oldest orders being filled first? What kind of scheduling drama is this that orders placed yesterday get delivered before one ordered in August? I had very pleasant experience today at Lowe's while shopping for a dishwasher. Sales people let me look but stayed nearby if I needed them. I like that. I found the machine I wanted but had different price on website. No problem Sir. Price fixed. Lowe's honors Veterans so I recieved my discount. I support businesses that support veterans. read more

In my humble opinion, this is the best Lowes in the area. In fact, the entire area of Clarksville is great for someone like me that lives downtown Louisville. Since there aren't places to shop downtown, a quick five minute trip across the bridge is appealing. This Lowes has the best staff out of any Lowes I've been to. They know their stuff and they will never hesitate to ask you if you need help as they pass by. If you are looking for something, they will literally take you right to it without giving it a second thought. My husband and I made this particular Lowes our home store. read more

Great home supplies but not family friendly. Has family restroom but no changing table, waited to find that out after an employee spent 15 minutes in there. Only other changing tables are up front and center of restrooms but not crazy about putting my baby on display for the world. read more

I ordered a fridge from Lowes in Clarksville IN on 8/15/2020 waited on it until 10/15/2020. It arrives damaged. Huge dent in top door and the side of the freezer caved in. I rejected it. the delivery drivers told me to ask for the supervisor Tyler of the appliances. He was paged didnt answer. Customer Service called him he didn't want to come and what did I want. not in a very nice tone. i could hear him on the phone. When he finally came. He said what did you need. i was trying to explain that the fridge came damaged and that i paid for a new water line as well as a cart off of the old but it wasn't on the delivery paperwork . He said so you just need me to send them back to hook it up. i said no its damaged i rejected it. He said what do you want me to do. i said see if we can work something. He said I have a whirlpool just like it i said no it is smaller than the one I ordered. He was looking on line I said what about that Frigidaire. He went to look and said I cant give you a $1000 off of that one. which is crap would have been 10%.20 at the most. He said i can get a Samsung. i said i already told you I don't want a Samsung that is my current issue now with a $2000 Samsung that doesn't run and it is only 4 years old. He stopped in front of me threw he head down and huffed. I said just give me my money back. He acted relieved until we got to customer service and he realized I had paid cash. He had to run around gather all the cash and stand there to count it out. I bet Mr Tyler wished he just gave me the discount on the Frigidaire. This store has gone downhill for years. Just the other day I had an item with a matching model number and description from their website. Rather than giving me the item for the advertised price on THEIR website they argued with me till I just said I'll go to Home Depot and get it. I have no control over their website and obviously Lowes doesn't either. At the same time, they were arguing with one of our Veterans over the 10% military discount they "offer" on an item. That's not the first time for that, as I saw them argue with a Vietnam Veteran on another occasion. Both times I followed the gentlemen out and thanked them for their service and apologized for the disrespect they encountered. I'm not nor have ever been in the military. It's just not right to treat people that fought for our freedom like that over a measly 10% discount on already overpriced items. Profits over people. Don't offer it if you don't have an intention of following through. Lowe's has found so many loopholes and ways to get out of the military discount or matching the prices on their own website. This Lowe's location is the worst for these offenses I've every seen. I guess Home Depot should send them a Christmas card this year thanking them for all the extra business their management is sending their way.
