This place shouldn't still be in business!! Customer service is appalling, Managment shows no sense of ownership. Picked up a freezer, took it home, it had a huge dent in it. Brought it back had to wait in line to return it, couldn't just give us another freezer. We had to walk back to the appliances section where we waited for 30 minutes to finally see someone who worked there and flag them down to assist us. Took the newest freezer home, another dent. Managment ignores their customers and walks around doing nothing- embarrassment. Went to return the freezer today and they wouldn't take it back as it was past the 30 day marker, no one would even come speak to us. The manager simply shook her head and carried on chatting with her employees. We have never had a problem returning items at Home Depot and we will never be customers at Lowes again. read more

So in my visit to this location not only did I purchase an item that didn't have everything in it but I couldn't find an employee anywhere and when I did finally find one they were running away and didn't want to help and when I finally did find out where all the employees were hiding I couldn't believe what I saw. 4 people sitting down and customer service area laughing and talking while two people worked the entire floor like chickens with their heads cut off. I received no customer service. I also left a few items up by the register so that I could go do some more shopping and the cashier said sure no problem I'll put them right here and when I went to check out the items were gone and nobody could locate them anywhere and to top it off that was the last of the item I was trying to get. Needless to say I will not be shopping here again unless I absolutely have to and if you are going in there knowing exactly what you want you should be ok but if you are going in there with questions I suggest you go somewhere else read more

Their website said we could receive a planter between 5/9-5/12. We ordered and received a confirmation. Since then, the order status has been left as "processing." No updates. The email address they use is a No Reply address and no alternative customer support or order email address is supplied. The customer service number on the email order is an automated message that says to call your local store. When you call the local store, they let the phone line ring and ring and ring until it kicks you off the line or sends you back to the main menu. Because we trusted the delivery dates, we already purchased the soil and plants to go inside and will now have to call our credit card to block the charge and look elsewhere for a solution. Sure, things get delayed but to declare your store essential and then require people with health conditions to be physically present to get any service or an actual product after paying is unprofessional. read more

I placed a "buy online pick up in store" order. I went to the store because it had been a couple hours and my order wasn't ready yet, and I really needed the items. I ordered some gloves and a toilet plunger and had a situation at home, so I needed those supplies--Once I got to the store the first associate advised me that the plunger couldn't be located so it was canceled from my order, and I was only charged for the gloves. And then the associate who collected the items and processed the order came over to explain that the system was showing the plunger was in stock, but that he looked everywhere and was unable to locate the item. He offered to walk me over to the isle where the plungers were and helped me get another comparable one to the one I ordered. He was so kind and helpful and made the experience easy. I could have just grabbed a different plunger without help, and it would have been fine, but his help was nice and I appreciated him taking the time to made sure I got one that I would work well. read more

In the last two weeks I have had to do a couple of emergency repairs on our house. Both Home Depot and Friedmans have phenomenal control over how many customers are in the store at the same time. Lowes was a complete free-for-all with the door wide open allowing an unlimited number of customers in the store like it was a normal shopping time. I saw lots of employees congregating together within inches of each other. And there were so many customers everywhere in the store as I picked up The one or two things that I had to have today I noticed customers running into each other left and right in different parts of the store because there were so many. I am truly a palled at the lack of care for their own employees and the greater community health. I would encourage folks if they have an emergency that requires a repair at their house during the shelter time to go to Home Depot or Friedmans and skip the store completely. I'm not sure if this is the fault of their central management or the local manager either way it's unacceptable and I hope the county deals with it swiftly read more

You're way better off driving to the Santa Rosa or Windsor Home Depot than dealing with the bozos who work in flooring at Lowe's. They are completely incompetent. I hate to use such strong words but it's absolutely true. We were so excited when we found a great deal on bamboo flooring there about a month ago. They told us they needed to order it for us. We paid nearly $2000, got our order receipt and left. We called back in two weeks for an update. (They said it would be about a week to get in the flooring.) They said the shipment arrived damaged. We waited another two weeks. We called and they said that our order had been recorded as "picked up" in their computer, so they didn't call us and already sold the flooring WE HAD PRE-PAID FOR!!! Called again last night for another status report on our order, and the guy told us that our order was still listed in the system as "picked up" -- never fixed like they said it would be -- but he had the flooring in stock (the full number of boxes we'd ordered was reconfirmed). After an hour at Lowe's this morning, they told us they were three boxes short for our order -- BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LABEL THE PALET SOLD THE NIGHT BEFORE AND SOLD OUR FLOORING!!! We canceled the order and got a refund. The boxes were all damaged anyway. This place is dead to me. read more

Overall, just an 'ok' experience. Went here to buy a new refrigerator for my garage, as my old one finally bit the dust. The sales person was nice, no pressure. The main plus was, got an 18.2 cu. ft. Frigidaire, without the bells & whistles, on sale for $389! the bad part was delivery scheduling. I was told I would get my fridge on Tuesday ( it was Sunday when I bought it). I was told by the salesperson that the delivery company would contact me Mon. night to arrange the delivery time on Tues. They never called. I called them Tuesday & no one from Lowes had contacted them about delivering my fridge. So, I called Lowes and was told that my delivery was actually scheduled for Saturday, not Tuesday as I was told by the salesperson. Good thing I didn't need this as my primary fridge or I would have been screwed. They really need to communicate and not screw over customers by giving them the wrong delivery dates! read more

Keep driving to Home Depot. What a pathetic excuse for a Home Supply store. Today I walked in with my shopping list, and passed no fewer than three groups of three store employees just hanging out in the isles, standing around and gossiping. At one point, in the hardware isle, I stood directly next to one group of three and I even made eye contact with two of the three employees as they were gossiping. Not one person bothered to ask if I needed any help. To add insult to injury when I went to check out, there wasn't a single human being manning the registers. Only the self check outs were open, and one wasn't even working. I may not be the brightest person on the planet, but I know when my business isn't appreciated. I left my cart and my purchases in the store and drove up the road to Home Depot where I was immediately greeted at the door by a friendly Aussie, who asked me "Can I help you find something?" Thank you Home Depot for remembering what good customer service looks like. By the way, Lowes, I spent $1028.23 today at Home Depot. Not that you would care. read more

By now I learned my way around the Lowe's store in Cotati, but in the odd case that I need to ask a question, more often than not there seems to be no employee available to help. Just like another reviewer mentioned, an online order may or may NOT be filled; you'll never be notified and won't know until you go to pick it up in store. Case in point, the other day I ordered a few items online, to be picked up store. Later that same day, one of Lowe's employees left a voice message -in an annoyed tone- saying only that I have to call back; nothing else. When I did call back, I talked to someone equally unpleasant (are all Lowe's employees annoyed by customers?), who took my name and said the only reason they called in the first place was to let me know my order was ready to be picked up. However, when I got to the store the very next day, only one item from my order was ready; the rest was no longer in stock. So I drove from north Santa Rosa to Cotati for nothing! What's even more upsetting is the way the store manager, Dave B.,handled the situation. He first stared at my order printout for a VERY long time, then despite the order clearly marked "To be picked up in store" with the Lowe's store address in Cotati, he proceeded to question the fact that I was supposed to pick up the order in store, insisting that it might have been shipped to my home instead. Moreover, the Lowe's invoice on the lone item available from my order also showed the stock inventory for the other items, which clearly had been available at the time of the order. So apparently no Lowe's employee could be bothered to set them aside. After a good half hour, Dave, who all this time was staring intently at the screen, as if willing to display what was expected, finally admitted defeat, and with a more dismissive than apologetic tone said "I'm sorry!". That was all. No offer to re-order, to bring the items from another store, or try to resolve the situation so that it won't happen again. No phone call to Lowes.com. Nothing. To summarize, I give the Lowe's store in Cotati 1 star for service, starting with the example of the store manager's lame behavior and inexistent problem-resolving skills. read more

This Cotati Lowe's is very close to my house, so I tend to go there often for any hardware or garden needs. I have to agree with the many other complaints I've read in Yelp reviews that it's near impossible to get someone to help you there. Miraculously, I was able to talk to a sales associate when I was in the store the other day about an item that I wanted to purchase, but couldn't find in the store. He gave me a card with the item # on it so I could find it on their website, and assured me that the shipping would be free since the item is no longer carried in the store. So I go online, find the item, and see that shipping is MORE than the cost of the item itself. Try to select the option to have item shipped directly to store free of charge, that doesn't work. Now I have to call and see if someone can help me get this shipped to me for free like the sales guy said it would, or have it shipped to them and I could pick up. Seems simple, right? I call the store, get transferred to a department and no one answers, get punted back to operator who doesn't answer and I'm on hold for over 5 minutes. Hang up. Call back again a few minutes later, get transferred to commercial sales and the guy that answers proceeds to get annoyed that I was transferred to him and should have been sent elsewhere. Long story short, I get transferred to 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE, none of them can or are willing to help me with this seemingly small and simple issue. After being transferred to the 5th person, and waiting on hold for over 10 minutes, I had to hang up. I spent over 20 minutes on the phone and got absolutely no where. Very frustrating to be passed around like that and no help came of it, and I'm still none the wiser on how I can get this item to me without having to pay the overpriced shipping charge. Lowe's lost a sale and my confidence in knowing I will get the help I need if I go there or call in. Looks like the convenience of having Lowe's so close to me no longer matters when I get no where with their customer service team. read more

I can't express how disappointed I am at Lowe's. I order new appliances 2 weeks ago they did not have the dishwasher in stock so I was fine waiting to get everything at once! Wednesday comes and I have not got a confirmation of my delivery time, so I called them and was told it was between 4-6 on Thursday.. I get a call about an hour later from an automated system confirming that delivery time.. Fast forward to Thursday today around 2:05pm I get a automated call saying the will be at my house in 10 min... what?? My delivery time is from 4-6 I am still at work. I call and speak to an outside delivery company who tells me that the are at my house and that they had several cancellations and my time got moved forward! NO they did not warn me my time was moved wtf.... I also got informed my fridge was damaged on both sides and the gentleman says hopefully your cabinets will cover it and you won't even notice.. excuse me no I did not pay 1000 dollars for a fridge to get a damaged one take that shit back.. And leave my other stuff.. I was told they had to get approval from a manager and I had to email him stating I release them of liability. Really you guys are the ones that are 2 hours early that isn't my fault.. Anyway I called Lowes was on hold for 10 min transferred about 4 times and was not able to get a manager. The lady took my name and number down and I still have not received a call back... My husband stopped on his way home to speak to a manager and was told it was going to be another 2 weeks before I get my fridge.. :( because it was only ordered for a promotion they had, or I can pick another one out comparable to the one I ordered... but it would not match the other appliances. They took now reasonability about the delivery issue just stated they hire and outside company! Then me being furious when I got home (they left both gates wide open) I decided to watch them on my cameras and was even more shocked when this guy was clearly looking for something.. Maybe a key?? POSTED VIDEO CLIPS BUT IT WILL NOT ALLOW THE FULL 2 MINUTE VIDEO!!!Who knows, I know my planter is moved around that he was digging around in.. mind you the dispatcher I was talking to called them and informed them of the situation while I was on hold. It's a bummer that our last experience at this particular Lowe's was so bad that we've decided to not return to them anymore. About 6 years ago we bought an inexpensive BBQ, and we loved everything from the research to purchasing and using it. It was time for us to get a new one, so we researched one online and ordered it. The site said we could have free assembly, so we chose that option. After no communication saying that our pit was ready, we eventually got in contact with someone at the store and verified that our order was ready for pick up. However, when we double checked that it was assembled, it wasn't. Instead, we were told it would be ready the next day at 2p.m., during the whole conversation, there was loud laughter in the background from about 2-3 people saying "It's not going to get put together". I tried to brush that off...So, when it came to the next day, we called before we were going to leave, and we were told that it takes a FEW days to assemble a BBQ pit and that the option on the site shouldn't offer it?? OK...All in all, the product is fine, but the customer service is horrible over the phone and in person. No one seems to know time frames, or how to deal with situations like this. Lowe's should invest more time in training their employees. Oh, and after we got the BBQ home, it only took 1.5 hours to put together, and that's with just 1 person. read more

Normally Lowes is awesome; this time, not so much. Promised delivery date for an item over one thousand dollars was not met despite a call from the contracted delivery service confirming it the night before. Apparently the order was never receied by the delivery service (Manna Delivery Service) so of course there was a bunch of finger pointing about who did what - bottom line I waited four hours that night for nothing...next day 'everyone was working on it'. You would have thought world hunger was being solved - I was at a funeral that day and no less than 10 calls were left on my phone. Finally they said they would deliver it sunday but would call me the next day Saturday to schedule it. The call never came. I called Sunday morning, a bunch of calls back and forth again and so I was out doing errands, when they called and left a voicemail saying 'we will be there in 30 minutes". . . of course I am farther than that away so I RACE home to try and prevent this damn thing from not being delivered and thank goodness my friend was at my house by chance and she signed for it. Honestly it was disgusting how it was handled - so much finger pointing - not ONE apology from Lowes or the delivery service. No compensation was offered after this fiasco on the second round at least although they did give me 10% off initially. I wouldn't have expected any more either but the manager offered it at that point and said this would occur after the item was successfully delivered. Again, most of us know this is not Lowes quality service they are known for including me. But ultimately they are responsible for the delivery of their product and their associated vendors must adhere to their high standards. Manna Delivery Service also completely failed me as a customer too and that needs to be noted. Extremely frustrating experience - finally got my delivery and it should be noted that when the first order was not delivered, they cancelled the order (Lowes did) and I had to call up and re-place the order!? Is that nervy or what? Talk about lack of service. Wow. You screw up and put the onus on me to have to go to the trouble and expense of calling and re-ordering? Someone needs to set their priorities straight..... read more

For some unfathomable reason, Lowe's treats its customer service dept. like it's an after-thought. I bought a Whirlpool water heater with the extended warranty, and within a couple of months, the thing starts going out. It cost me 100 bucks for a plumber to show up, fix it and show me how to get it going again. Good thing because this unit has gone down five time since. Lowe's says it's Whirpool's fault and vice versa...meantime, I'm stuck with the bill. Admittedly, not a huge bill, but I'm in it for the principle now. Both corporations seem to want to push customers away...well, they are getting what they want. No more Lowe's, and no more Whirlpool...their customer service was just as bad as Lowe's. read more

Strong performance in addressing a product issue: Took delivery of 2 Kohler one-piece toilets right on time day before scheduled install. Plumber opens up boxes and finds one has pieces of the ceramic footing broken off, so not usable. I called the store, was directed to the manager of deliveries (apologies to him for not remembering his name), who was able to verify additional inventory, and get another truck out to me early that afternoon with a new toilet in time for the plumbers to install it same day. They are both working like a charm. Excellent customer service and it was VERY much appreciated! read more

After going to Home Depot and waiting for over 10 minutes for a customer service rep to discuss window blinds, nobody ever showed up. We left and went to Lowe's in Cotati. We were greeted by a very nice guy named Sean, who happened to be the store assistant manager. I told him my experience at Home Depot and he was most eager to help us. He immediately contacted someone to help us with blinds. Denis was so helpful and knowledgeable, I was so impressed. He came from the appliance department and him and Rudy, another associate, spent so much time with us explaining all the different options we had. After making our decision, we moved on to the sliding glass patio doors. As we were looking at the sliders, here comes Sean again, making sure we had what we needed. He discussed the sliders with us and showed us what they had in stock. Sean was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Him and another associate helped load up the slider we decided to purchase, along with 2 sets of wood blinds. I asked about a 10% discount for large purchases, and Sean was more than happy to offer it to us. I could not believe the customer service we received at Lowe's in Cotati tonight. I would happily recommend this Lowe's over Home Depot any day. read more

I loved my experience at Lowe's the other day. We are doing a front yard landscaping and have required plants, chips, fill, soil, etc. The plants at Lowe's are better than any other big box hardware store. They have a great selection of palms and even ultra-dwarf fruit trees - one of which is already producing delicious peaches. When we purchased too much of one plant and not enough of another, the return and refunds were promptly issued. But mostly I was really impressed with Larry in the garden department. I had to buy 10 bags of chip and 10 bags of soil and a 6 ft palm. He loaded everything up, took it to checkout, protected my van, packed it all in, and didn't let me struggle with anything. Plus he was friendly and cheerful, and made a big difference in my long day. How nice to find that type of customer service still in existence. My local store (not Lowe's) barely even acknowledges they have customers. Thank you Larry, and thank you, Lowe's. read more

I wish I had read some of these reviews before wasting my time with Lowes. I ordered a rug online and the date for pick up was listed as 3 days later. I was glad, as I wanted it for Thanksgiving. Before the day was through, it jumped to 4 days later, then 5, then 6, which is Thanksgiving Day. So I called to cancel and told the operator I didn't think it was good business practice to be so far off from the estimate given when I ordered. I told her that an apology would be nice. She said that it was the vendor's fault not Lowes and she would not apologize. I said the date was on Lowe's website and it couldn't hurt to apologize no matter whose fault it was and she said she wouldn't and hung up on me.Terrible results for my first order with Lowes. Got an automated phone call to pick up one or more items that we ordered. Hmmm, so do we bring the car or the truck? Went to Customer Service desk and finally were able to give Ryan our slip. He didn't know where the bathroom vanity was or who would bring it to the CS counter so we could load it. We waited about 15 minutes and here comes another guy with our boxes as well as a large box for another customer. We only had 4 of 5 boxes and no one could figure out where #5 was. Ralph finally found the missing piece behind the CS counter. Wonder why all pieces were not together. Lowe's needs a little better customer training and a much better system for multiple pieces in an order! read more

We went shopping for a new barbeque and after visiting four other stores found that Lowe's offered the widest variety regarding available choices. The price was reasonable (ascertained after some online research) and we bought it from Lowe's. We had some assistance from an employee from that department, and he answered all questions we had. We requested that it be assembled by the Lowe's staff and delivered to our home (both for free). A week later we now have a new barbeque in our backyard that looks beautiful and grills very well. The reason I gave Lowe's only three stars is the cashier couldn't figure out how to get me a Lowe's credit card and thus save me 5%. Another reason for the three stars was that when initially shopping I had one hell of a time getting to the outdoor/grill department, having been put on hold, transferred, disconnected, etc. on two separate occasions. So, product = very good, price = reasonable, interpersonal communication with various associates = poor. read more

just dropped in to grab 2 things tonight and used the only self serve check-out that was working and accepted cash. sidenote, i would have preferred to use my card, but i was on a side mission to break a $20 bill. the machine spat the bills onto the floor, and actually kept one within the machine, but visible in the change slot. i turned around, said "this machine is bogus" to the attendant who watched the machine spit the bills to the floor and she immediately grabbed two women from customer service to assist. i tried to pull coax out the last bill that the machine held onto, when the person who was supposed to help showed up and just barked "STOP THAT, STOP THAT, STOP THAT" as she saw i was just trying to get my stuck bill (using cardboard packaging from some duracell batteries). she came in hot, which was at the very least unprofessional. she then opened the machine and pulled out the stuck bill and handed it to me. i hadn't said the words "thank you" yet, and she must have felt insecure and a need to overcompensate, so she then barked "YOU'RE WELCOME!". i almost started laughing at the transparent tough routine she tried to exude, when i had yet to act in any way rude or disrespectful. without saying anything, i tossed the package of batteries i was trying to use to get my bill out of the machine, onto the check out and grabbed my goods and left. a pretty pathetic excuse for someone who feigns to wear some kind of position of help, customer service, or management. considering i have a plethora of clientele in the building and woodworking communities, with corporate accounts at Lowe's, i will attempt to sway them away from this location from now on. it's a minor and almost petty thing for me to write this whole thing, but i've worked plenty of jobs like the one this soured little person was working tonight, and i've always checked my life troubles at the door, in order to do the job in a fair way.. and who needs to be laughably flexed on by such a disgruntled individual. not me or any of the folks i know who were regular customers here. see ya! read more

I am giving this Lowes 1 star, and I hate to do that since it is my local harware store. The reason? Terrible service, plain and simple. Especially with cabinets and appliances but pretty much throughout (exception the old guys in the sinks/vanity area). You find people in red vests (some blue) floating aimlessly around the store, but cannot get anyone to help you. I was in cabinets for about an hour and three people were sitting at the desk. Here I am trying to make a $10,000 purcahse, and I get very little to no help. I don't know the first thing about ordering cabinets. If I ask a quesitons its like- Don't bother us, we are busy talking amongst ourselves go over there. I have noticed this in other departments as well, where its a little gathering of employees talking about social activities rather than helping customers. Simply put, this store management stratagy is unacceptable. No one seems to be driecting or training employees efficently- So they roam, and even if you do get someone attention, nine times out of ten they have little to no knowledge of how to help beyond- 'I think that's on isle...xx' What they should do is say, let me show you where that is or 'what are you working on'? Do you need help with that? and if they don't know anything about it- They should say " Let me get John Doe etc., he specializes in that area for you" - And why are there 500 employees but no one to help you , and only one person to check you out the rest autmatic registers. Just insane. This store hires whoever, and doesn't teach them how to be helpful- There are rare exceptions. GET A CLUE- Lowes. read more

I've made two large appliance purchases there to only have significant problems later. Tonight the paint department could not use their own label to determine what color I needed. We bought a new washer and dryer combo at low's and had the fact we did not want the washer and dryer we had removed specificaly entered into the delivery instructions. They took them both then when we called found the washer and never compensated us for the dryer they lost. Oh yea, I had to go get the washer at their store. My husband and I are new homeowners and often need help when walking into an improvement store. We decided to drive 40 min to the nearest Lowes after finding home depot didnt have one thing we needed. Our first experience: We bought a medicine cabinet and the employee in that department said that it would be easy to hang with some screws. We get home and it turns out it has a metal back that needs special screws and these two tracks that came with it. We had to take the trip all the way back to Loews to return this. What an inconvience. Then we decided to give it one more chance since Lowes had a truck to rent, so we can get the closet doors we ordered for in store pickup, home. The employee brought our doors up to customer service. The shutter doors were unwrapped and in terrible condition. He said those were the best back there but didnt even talk about the damage until we mentioned something. How do you expect to sell such a damaged item? The other sliding closet doors said they were easy to install and all hardware included. We noticed on the box it said we needed a screwdriver and hacksaw. We asked someone about needing a hacksaw and he said "well the knob is already cut out so it looks like you dont need it." We get the doors home and we need a hacksaw to cut the metal tracks. It you dont know the right answer you shouldnt make it up. By this time its 9:30pm and obviously have to put this project off until tomarrow. It we knew exactly what we needed then we could have been prepared. After these two incidents, I plan on sticking to home depot or our local harware store Ace Hardware. At least they are very helpful and know what they are talking about. read more

I like Lowes prices, selections and immediate availability for major appliances. However, I have just had my third bad experience with delivery. I figure by the time I spend the money and time it will take me to remedy the situation I could have paid top dollar at a full service appliance store. First, they never called me with a delivery window. After many calls, including two where they said there was no record of my order, I finally got a window - during a dinner party I had scheduled for that night. They finally show up 1/2 hour after the end of the window and refuse to drive up my street because the tree branches hang too low for their truck (ok for fire trucks, Etc but not for them). Fortunately a neighbor came by and generously offered to transfer them using his pickup. Then I had purchased the wrong power cord ( only one choice showed up on the web site) and had not purchased a stacking kit (didn't show on web site so I didn't know I needed it) so they refused to install it. Fortunately I had a venting kit because they didn't bring one and it was not mentioned either at time if purchase. Now after reading the installation manual there's also another part required that no one mentioned. So now I have to drive an hour to lowes, buy all the missing parts and install it myself, including finding someone to help me lift the dryer and then move the whole friggin mess into place. So 7 years ago, I bought a GE washer & dryer form Lowes. The delivery was a nightmare, as our laundry cove is upstairs & one of the delivery men was very overweight and was sweating and smearing our walls, as he went up and down the stairs. I limped the machines along until, a week ago, on Friday, my washer went berserk. I really wanted a Kenmore, but against better judgment went back to Lowes, and purchased a GE washer & dryer again. The salesman who helped us was very nice, but failed to disclose to me, that the dryer had no drum light ( I found out later, when it was delivered, I never heard of a dryer without a drum light!) & that the GE washer is known to vibrate & shimmy a lot during a spin cycle. The delivery was supposed to be on Thursday, between 6 and 8 pm. The next day, I called them to change the time, as we go to bed early. So we were supposed to get a call of delivery time , Wednesday night and did not. I called Thursday morning and the person said the delivery would be between 10:30 & 12:30. I was not ready for this and had not planned to miss some work time, so I cancelled it and , rescheduled for Friday, but again was told , we would get a call of the time frame, Thursday night. Well. we did not and I called again Friday morning and was told the appliances would be delivered between 8:30 & 10:30 am. So they were delivered and the delivery men seemed pretty competent but in a hurry. They left, with the washer running as, they said it needs to go thru a cycle first, before using, to wash clothes. So I found out about the dryer not having a light ( looking into a dark cave)and the washer was more larger in depth then my previous one, and I could not attach, the second closet door. When the washer went into spin, it was vibrating pretty good. I did not have this problem with any of my previous washers. I used a level to see if it needed adjusting. I also found the cold water inlet spigot to be leaking slightly. Since the laundry cove is upstairs, I have always had a Kleenex or paper towel, tied around the spigots, as a early warning sign, just in case they started to leak. I had no problems up until the new washer was installed. I called Lowes and was told the delivery guys, in-between deliveries would be there on Sunday to look at the washer. I was told we would get a call, Saturday night, as to when they would be there on Sunday. We did not get a call. I called Sunday morning and was told, they would be there between 10:30 & 12:30 am. Around 9:00, I think, I received a call from the delivery guys, that they would be there in ten minutes. I wasn't ready, so I told them 20 minutes, so I could throw some clothes on... When they arrived, it was the same guys who had delivered the appliances on Friday and one of them, seemed angry. He was very condescending with me and would hardly let me speak or explain. He more or less, accused me of lying and that the spigot had already been leaking and it was not their responsibly. He also stated, this washer does vibrate when it spins and proceeded to show me in a belittling way how to use the level on the washer. He was not a happy camper and it was hard not to start arguing with him, but I just wanted the washer adjusted and for them to leave. He did do a adjustment, but with the way I was treated, I am going to have the appliances returned and go to Sears. I just hope, it is not the same person, who comes to pick them up! I haven't used the washer yet to see if it still shimmies during the spin cycle. read more

Horrible horrible service. Went on Thursday Feb. 15 bought a Samsung washer now mind you signs every where says free next day delivery. Anyway I was told it would be delivered Sunday morning Feb 18. Come 10am I called Lowes to find out an approximate time of delivery, when I called I pushed the button for deliveries no one answered it rang for 5 minutes I hung up repeated my actions this time 4 m 30 s I hung up pushed zero for operator, I explained to the operator what I needed she said she could help me I said awesome I should have held off on that awesome. I gave the lady my name and number she could not find me in the system after 15 minutes of this I said please just give me someone who can help me I'm starting to get mad, the lady said let me transfer you to a manager. Mark the Manager answered the phone he took my name and explained to me he was on power equipment that he was going to get off the equipment and go to a computer I would be on hold for a few minutes, 25 minutes later I hung up, that phone call was a total of 53 minutes and 43 seconds still had no answer as to when my washer would be delivered. So I called back maybe someone in another department is smarter than the operator and manager, so I get Matt in appliances and I'm fuming at this point I said get me a manager now or I'm calling corporate so 5 minutes later Mark the manager gets on the phone and his first ? To me is am I the Melissa that used to work there, does it matter who I am I just spent $600 in your fucking store and all I want to know is when is my washer going to be delivered because no one called us with a time. Lol Mark says if you cuss I'm hanging up I said if you hang up I'm calling corporate Mark replied go ahead we have a great relationship with corporate we talk to them everyday. So I called corporate nice gentleman says I can guarantee you if they are getting calls from us daily it's not a good thing. So please shop Friedman's or anyplace else. Rude rude people at Lowes perhaps it's time to change the management. read more

Lowe's needs support to keep the doors open, quit whining. If you have a problem handle it like a grown-up and don't expect what is unrealistic. I have built a couple of homes and $100,000. Kitchens mostly from Lowe's stock, the rest from other various suppliers. If you haven't the ability or the skills, don't lay the blame else ware, just go away. Over 40+ years experience I have provided superior tools, designs, specifications, materials, and proven practices to many a homeowner and contractor. The biggest problem I haven't been able to over come is that "You can't fix STUPID" Get Real, Get an education, wise up, and above all keep a prospective view. read more

We just purchased our first home, so needless to say there have been a lot of expenses. Paint, flooring, baseboards, bathroom remodels and new appliances... just to name a few. We purchased a new washer and dryer which we scheduled to be delivered. The day before the first due date, we get a call saying that the item is damaged and it'll be another two weeks. Fine, no problem. Second delivery date. Today, between 12:30-2:30. So like many of you, I didn't know that Lowe's went through a third party delivery company. After 27 wonderful minutes of listening to the phone ring. Someone FINALLY answers the phone. I talk to a manager. All they can do is say 'sorry'... they call the vendor and say that it'll be another 45 minutes. It's now been an hour and a half. New update, ETA another 30 minutes. So glad to have taken the time off work to just sit here and wait. Lowe's, go through a different vendor! This is starting to feel like Home Depot. And 'sorry, nothing we can do because it's a third party' isn't an acceptable response. Truly disappointed with this entire experience. read more

It took a long time to get the courage to enter another big box store - but....this place is terrific, the folks there seem happy, have nice camaraderie and think for themselves, and are actually helpful! i especially appreciate their customer service desk. Great personality there! being able to order online and then zing in to pick up, is a convenient time saver. If I can't find what i am looking for in a local small business, Lowes is my next stop, I love their hours too. (dont miss all the special orders they can do) read more

I have waited and waited and waited, so now I am ready to tell the world how unhappy I am with Lowe's in Cotati. I purchased a W/D a while back, when delivered I was told it was the wrong size, it would not fit in my laundry area? So they were taken back, it took weeks to get my refund. In the meantime I had to purchase a new set which I was guaranteed would fit. Long story short, after a long wait, over a month, my new W/D arrive and then I am told, the outlet needs to be changed because I have a three-pronged and not a four which I need for my very expensive new W/D? So now I am waiting for my electrician to make the change and can't get hold of anyone at Lowe's to set up an appointment for installation. Yesterday I was sent from one department to another and today after several attempts and being hung up on ...I am livid. No one will take responsibility for anything I am convinced. Sad. I guess going back to the small independent stores is worth the price. I bet not much more than Lowes or HD...and hopefully a whole lot more Customer Service. A lesson learned. read more

I needed a water heater desperately. I talked with a very knowledgeable guy, Rich Luccheisi....what a guy! He recommended just the heater I needed, scheduled installation (the next day) and followed up! Install went perfectly. Then called me up to make sure I was happy. I really appreciated the customer service. I see they have had bad reviews, and was a little hesitant, but want to say, I was very satisfied! read more

I was recommended to Judith at this store. She helped me with window coverings for my new house. She was efficient, knowledgable and friendly. Her customer service is above and beyond. She remembers me and gets back to me in a timely fashion whenever I have had a question or concern. If you are purchasing window coverings I recommend her. Horrible customer service. Waiting for a rug that has never come, every time I call I get a different story and now not refunding as promised. Always an excuse. Proceed to Lowe's at your own risk. Buyer beware. We will never shop there again. read more
