Lowe's store 2371at 14128 Cypress-Rosehill, Cypress 77433 I purchased a KitchenAid side by side refrigerator on January 6 at 2:55 pm. The sales person showed 3 of the model I wanted available, according to her computer. She called the Distribution Center to confirm that availability, which they confirmed. I bought one to be delivered January 11 between noon and 4:00 pm. At 6:00 pm January 10, I received a call to confirm that delivery. At 8:30 am January 11, I received a call saying it did not get on the truck in Dallas, so was not received in Cypress this morning. And now it's out of stock and will be delivered on FEBRUARY 18th. Wouldn't it appear that some store with more clout than our Cypress store gazumped us and got my fridge? Or. Is Lowe's selling products they don't have? In any case, they have $3,000 of my money for 6 weeks with nothing for me to show. I went to the store to discuss this with a manager. Poor Victor, assistant manager, after looking at the computer in Customer Service, told me this was "a good training exercise for them". That is also the precise expression he used at the end of our conversation. It is clearly a page out of Lowe's Human Resources training manual. Nothing more than ineffectual corporate psycho-babble. How much fun was that!!!! Yes building a taco truck ! Lowe's offers Free did I hear my favorite word : Free building classes for kids, big and small. I like that the holes are pre-drilled yet we somehow managed to be able to properly hammer our nails. No worries there was a superhero there just waiting to help poor souls like ourselves. The big shock is you complete the projects on the floor yes there are no nice long table and chairs but a nice long floor. I go dressed like a lady in a dress only to find I have to sit on the floor . We had a great time in spite of ourselves. read more

Placed an order online for a $1900 vanity on 12/26/16. The item was to be available at this location for pickup on 01/05/17. I called the national customer service number on the 5th around 3 pm to get a status update. The representative confirmed it was in route to store and should be delivered on time and the Cypress store would call or send email when item is ready for pickup. I never received any communication about the item on the 5th. On 01/06/17 at 10:20am I called the Cypress location and asked the person in customer service who answered the phone if I could get an update on my order. She said " hold on" and put me on hold. After 6 minutes she took me off hold and said " what was you calling about? " I explained again that I would like an update on n order I placed online to be delivered to this store on the 5th. She replied " Ok, I have a customer so I'll have to put you on hold" I said never mind I'll call someone else. I called the national customer service again and inquired about my item. After a few minutes in hold he told me the item was at the Cypress location and it had indeed arrived yesterday on the 5th. He confirmed with the store that it was available for pick up. I asked why the store didn't notify me and he said he asked them the same question and they didn't have an answer. He said he told them to call me to let me know the item was available for pickup. I thanked him and got off the phone. A few minutes later the Cypress location called and left message stating item was available for pickup. I'm not satisfied with the way this Cypress location failed to notify me the item was available for pickup and wonder when they would have called if I had not called customer service. I'm not satisfied how I was put on hold twice by the store when I called to inquire about the item. I will not use this store again as a pick up location on any future online orders. read more

I usually really like Lowes, but when you have employees that either don't care about their jobs or haven't been trained well it makes customers hesitant to shop there. I came in to do a simple return. I was the only one waiting and it took Cynthia at least 5 minutes to even acknowledge me. Granted she could have been finishing something up but it didn't appear that way. Once she called me to the counter I handed her my receipt. As that was happening another man walked up to the counter. She took my receipt to another register and proceeded to assist him. She completed his transaction which took several minutes. Cynthia then came back to the register I was at and asked for my receipt. I explained I had given it to her and she went back to the other register where she had left it. There was no greeting, a smile, or an excuse me while I assist this other gentleman. I will be shopping at the other big box store. read more

Mr. Nick, in the lawn mower/outdoor equipment area was absolutely incredible!! I brought in a Troybuilt edger that had only been used twice and the belt broke. The attendants at customer service were unhelpful, so we carted it back to the area where the mowers/edgers were. Mr.Nick (with the help of Jeff) very kindly offered to help fix the broken belt for us. Now THAT was customer service! Biggest thanks to Mr.Nick at store 2371!!! read more

As a past employee at this location, a lot of these customer review complaints are valid. I will say this in rebuttal, a lot of the way we do things comes from corporate (policy etc). As an department associate there is only so much that we can do. Sometimes even in our best efforts to help we are halted by the stores policy. Some policies could and should change, but that is up to corporate not the associates. Sometimes, corporate will change the policies out of no where and we get notice after the fact, not before hand so we can alert customers before it goes into affect. Sometimes, compassion and understanding is needed on both the customer and the employees parts because when customers get upset they tend to take it out on whomever. Especially at customer service. They receive the short end of the stick for all store problems when they usually only know or can help with returns and maybe order pick up (which is a completely different departments responsibility). All in all, employees should have better attitudes and be able to handle customer's that are less than pleasant. I believe we all could benefit from understanding both sides of the playing field. read more

I've been going to this Lowe's often in preparation for a move, and made both major (multiple appliances, on sale at 10% or more off) and relatively minor (cleaning products) purchases over the last month. There have been a few hiccups, but they have handled them well. I was told my refrigerator would be delivered by a certain day, and then got a call--a week or two in advance--to tell me that it wouldn't be available for one to two weeks after the date I was told it would be delivered. I said that I would be without a fridge for that time and requested that they provide a loaner until mine arrived. They agreed to do so, at no cost. A week later, I saw that I'd missed a promotion for 10% off your first Lowe's card purchase by a couple of weeks and asked if they would apply it to a previous purchase I made with a Lowe's card I'd signed up for to get the 5% discount. They applied the promotion. Much of my shopping has recently been during the week, in the early morning hours. The customer service has been quite good--everyone has been able to direct me to what I seek, and has been friendly. Weekends at home improvement places are just busy--and I don't know if there's much that can be done about that other than going really early in the morning or late at night. In short: no complaints. Their good customer service and willingness to apply the promotion was a smart investment. There are some things that only Home Depot seems to carry, like Odoban and flooring splines. But if I'm able to spend my money at Lowe's, I will. read more

Such poor customer service and incompetence I drive to Lowe's in Cinco Ranch where I USED to live to avoid this place. A shame too. When I built my house in Cypress I bought a Refrigerator, washer, dryer and several other large ticket items here. My LAST experience here was several months ago when I purchased some plants for my yard. It was a VERY bad experience over all. One I will not repeat. In fact the last time I TRIED to purchase over $300 worth of items the ONE checkout they had open had about 40 people waiting to check out. I walked away and left my items for them to restock. Oh my god what a horrible experience! We bought a refrigerator in the store and they were supposed to deliver it on a day that we both took off however the sales person entered into the computer wrong and it was marked as if we had taken it from the store. Fast forward two days I got an automated message saying that it would be delivered between one and 3 PM and it wasn't delivered until 430. When I called the store the night before and that day asking questions nobody knew what was going on. When I talk to the manager previously he said thatHe would refund half the cost of the refrigerator, however he only took $50 off for our inconvenience. We have given this store a lot of business because it is convenient and close to the house, however in the future I will be doing all my business with Home Depot. read more

Second,tons of staff on weekends but go there on a Thursday at 4 pm and there are five employees in the whole store- one lane open, one customer service person whom I had to explain what a recycling bin is and sent me to the small trash can aisle, and two young employees who literally ran in the opposite direction when I opened my mouth to ask for help. 20 min later still could not find one recycling bin OR garbage can- but several empty aisles being prepared for Christmas decor, in September. read more

We love to shop at Lowe's, I would say they are the cleanest well organized stores in this business. This specific Lowe's in Cypress has a major staffing problem. I shop here on a regular basis, the staff are just not knowledgable of the store, aren't very friendly either. The checkout process can also be extremely slow, I was there on Friday and the gentlemen checking us out could have cared less, 4 items took about 10 minutes. I hope they can work on the staffing for this great franchise. read more

DO NOT BUY at this location. I purchased a fridge and Lowe's came and picked up the old one at 11am. Canceled the delivery of the new one and informed me it wasn't in stock. Did i tell you they informed me the new one that was scheduled for delivery WASN'T in stock and couldn't be delivered AFTER they picked up the old one. I had to throw all of my food away and now I don't have a fridge at all. And the manager was no help at all and was unwilling to provide contact information for the regional or district manager!!!! read more

I had a great experience here. Complete opposite of the 249 cypresswood location. I went for a specific washer I thought I wanted. The staff was honest showed me the consumer reports and directed me to a better washer that would fit my needs better. They are up sellers. Will try to sell you hoses saying delivery company can't install new washer without new ones. Not true I had 2 different washers delivered in 2 days. The delivery company has to install with the hoses you currently have because cannot leave without making sure washer works and give you a quick demo. So save your 20-30 bucks. This store was very clean and knowledgeable I will definitely be back, my husband was gone and they had a washing machine delivered the very next day. read more

The only thing that I can say about this place is that there's normally good parking. I guess that's because customers don't like coming here. Their service is horrible, nobody wants to help , and when and if you can find somebody then only in a group or on their cell phones just talking and being social with themselves. If you need assistance, you are on your own. Their listed online inventory is often wrong, only to find the product is out of stock. They generally have plants that other nurseries do not carry, and their nursery return policy is fair. They never have our AC filter in stock. The tool and paint departments are the only thing going in their favor. read more

I went to Walmart to get some paint for our laundry room.. Trying to get a pretty teal color but didn't want to spend a lot of money since its just our laundry room.. No one would help me there.. I got an email about specials Lowe's was having this weekend so I go to the store. I get there and there is a lot of this particular brand, but the size bags I need are gone. I don't realize there are two sizes so I load up my cart, get to the register and the lady tells me I have the wrong size. The smaller bags are on special, not the bigger ones, but she will ring me up for the smaller ones and then I can just swap them out. No problem. I pay. I go to swap them, but I see they're all gone, and they check the back for me just to be sure. I'm not upset at this point. I get a refund and the lady checks all other surrounding Lowe's stores. She tells me Katy has over 400 bags. Great. I go this morning all the way to Katy and they tell me they haven't had any for a while. Now I'm a little annoyed. I call this Lowe's to see when they will get more soil in and to see if I can do a rain check. I call and no one answers in the garden center. Get transferred to customer service. Ask to be transferred back to gardening. No one answers again. Guess they're too busy for me? Get transferred back to customer service and ask to speak with a manager. The manager doesn't answer either. Get transferred back to customer service where she puts me straight on hold. No explanation. Now I'm mad. Finally a little while later a manager answers. I ask about getting a rain check. As he is talking I either get accidentally disconnected or hung up on. This is not the first time this has happened to me at Lowe's. I'm very disappointed in them. They obviously have no desire to take care of their customers, let alone speak with them. I won't be going back here. Today, August 24, 2017, I picked out a Poulan 14" chain saw and a can of True Fuel gas for the saw at the Cypress Texas Lowes. At the check out counter ... the clerk did not accept my check for the full amount. I had proper ID and way MORE than enough in my checking account and I knew it. I then left and went to the nearby Cypress Home Depot. I picked out a Ryobi 14" chain saw and a can of True Fuel. Home Depot readily accepted my check with no questions and so did the bank. LOWES did not even give me a reason ... and THAT is the problem. LOWES can reject your personal check without giving a reason? I will NEVER go there again ... I will go to Home Depot next time. read more

I have used Lowe's over the competitor just across the freeway for some time. Their prices are virtually identical (No collusion on prices there then!!) so there has to be a better reason for me to cross the freeway. I have a Lowe's credit card which gives me a 5% discount but I'm pretty sure that the big orange DIY place across the freeway offers the exact same deal. I always felt Lowe's offered a better service but recently I have had serious doubts. I have not been able to find anyone helpful. If I am able to find that rare person wandering around or stacking shelves they have been generally unable to help me. Either they have not got a clue what I'm looking for or don't know if they have any or where they might be located in the store. Computer terminals with an up to date inventory and in-store location map would certainly be a step in the right direction. I just tried to purchase a Worx sawhorse that Lowe's advertised in the local paper but this is not in any of the Lowe's stores with-in a 20 mile radius. My wife was just told on the phone that there are plenty of them in a store in Crawford Texas which is 180 miles from here. She asked if it could be sent to our local store and was told it could but that we would have to pay for shipping. My wife pointed out that this item has been advertised by Lowe's in our local paper for the past couple of weeks but none of the stores in our area have ever had them in stock. Isn't this false advertising? Or doesn't that matter? The lady in the store my wife spoke to when she went in to order it (Evidently these cannot be ordered online!!) was not helpful at all. My wife said she was very stressed and too busy on the phone to really want to deal with it. The person on the phone my wife spoke to was also unconcerned and unhelpful. Lowe's poorly trained staff are driving people away. I have forced me to go to Home Deport a lot lately where I have been very pleasantly surprised at how helpful and friendly they are so it looks like I don't need to cross the freeway any longer. read more
