Overall I really like this Home Depot. However there's one problem I constantly encounter. More than half the time I go, there's always people soliciting in the parking lot. I had to go twice today, and both times there were people stopping me.in the parking lot. The first visit, it was a group of three guys trying to get me to donate money for their church. The second trip, which was only about 30 minutes later, a lady stopped me in the parking lot trying to get me to buy flowers from her. This isn't the first time this has happened. More often than not, I get stopped by someone trying to get me to give them money in the parking lot. While this isn't directly Home Depot's fault (unless management is allowing it), they really should do something about it. I don't like feeling harassed and have to try and dodge people every time I get out my car whenever I need to go there. read more

Went in to buy 2 items. This trip should have been 5 minutes, instead it took about 25. It was impossible to find an employee here and when we found one he wasn't helpful. After finding our items we went to make a phone sale. Went to this particular Home Depot to buy some ceiling fans. Found what we liked but were not in stock so we decided to purchase them on line. An associate said he would help us but when he tried their website said they couldn't deliver to our zip code ! We are 5 miles away from that store. He then got on line and told us another store had five in stock. (We wanted three). So we went to the other store (13 miles away) we found that if you buy them in the store they were $15 dollars each more expensive! We talked to an associate there who said they do that to get folks to buy on line. We finally got a manager who agreed that if it's advertised but not available the should honor the online advertised price and adjusted the price. We then wanted some universal wall switches to control the fans. They were not in stock but were able to order online and have delivered to our house. The Home Depot tool rental is managed poorly. If you book online the odds of getting what they confirm is 1 in 4. I booked a trencher at the Spring Cypress the day before. I paid the deposit and was sent a conformation email...the next day I go to pick it up. 2 of the trenchers were there. None of them allocated to me. Both were availble for rent.... Both were received broken and noone tagged them for repair. I asked for the manager... he was aggressive and rude, yelling at me for me pointing out his organizations mistakes. He asked me If I wanted him to pull the trencher out of his a$$. I then requested to speak to his manager Salam who sided with employee and told me there was nothing he could do. Horrible customer service. I left mad and returned over $300 worth of HD mechandise that I had purchased before attempting the pickup of the trencher. I contacted my customer and told them I would attempt to rent the trencher from another Home Depot. I made another reservation with the Eldridge location that evening.. Called in the morning, telling him about the trencher reservation and asked If I could pick it up earlier than appointed time. He said sure. I arrived and to my amazement they didn't have the trencher. They said you can have a bigger one for the same price, but I had to rent a 60 dollar a day trailer due to the large size, which the total was double my original rental price. So strike 2. The 290 store shows online it has 3 of the trenchers availble. I had the HD employee call to confirm and guess what... The HD Mangum 290 store does not have any available. Strike 3 your out. If I were you I would look elsehwere for your tool rental. read more

Slowly becoming my least favorite Home Depot to go to. The workers, not all, aren't so helpful. I asked about Christmas lights and they just said we aren't sure if they are in stock. What's on the shelf is on the shelf. I go and ask someone else they attempted to point me to another section and then notified me they had no more. This has happened a few other times with other items but it's just you figure things would change over time. I'm not fond of the one entry and one exit. I thought it was all Home Depot's. I don't mind going to Home Depot for those DIY projects. I have found that Home Depot sometimes has a bigger selection than Lowe's across the street. The garden section is better at Home Depot then at Lowe's as far as fertilizers and decorative pots. And also yard tools. But Lowe's has a better selection on gazebos, patio furniture and appliances. Two assistant managers at Home Depot on Spring Cypress & Hwy 290 We had Store Credit on a card, which was not allowed to use online shopping at our home per Home Depot website. So, we visited the store located on Spring Cypress & Hwy 290 on Sunday evening, June 2, 2024, asking a store clerk to help place an online order for us, based on Home Depot policy. When the nice lady clerk at customer service was in the middle of processing our order, a store assistant manager J*sh came up and demanded her to stop the transaction immediately, saying that this store would not do it. We asked why you won't allow her to continue the transaction, he raised his voice "We don't do it! Don't yell at me!" (which we did not at all). At this moment, we could walk out the store as a frustrated and sad customer. However, on the way out we saw another assistant manager, Hamilton. We explained to him what help we needed. He listened carefully with a warm smile. And then he led us to the appliance department desk to have successfully placed the order, with our store credit balance paid firstly and then a bank credit card for the remaining. By this moment, we were so grateful for Hamilton's support. We also had a mixed feeling about Home Depot - probably there are many managers like Hamilton in a local store, willing to help customers and make them shopping happily, but why there is still a manager like J*sh existing at Home Depot? I like this Home Depot! I just moved to this area and I'm glad that this is my "new" Home Depot. So far I've made some big purchases here, some small purchases here and everything in between. Service is pretty great, I've encountered a handful of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful faces at this location. The Garden Center and the lumber center specifically were areas that I needed a little extra assistance, and I have always left satisfied and with exactly what I needed! It's hard to get excited about a hardware store- after all- it's hardware. But The Spring Cypress Home Depot gets my business from this day forward! I've always been a customer of Craftsman tools. After Sears went out of business. I started shopping at Lowe's for all my hardware needs. Let's make this long story short by saying I went to Lowe's three different times only to be sold the wrong part all three times. Each one of those visits took over thirty minutes due to waiting for inexperienced employees to come and help a computer programmer ( I'm not a plumber). Needless to say, I left Lowe's very upset that evening. So Wednesday evening it was off to Home Depot..... It was no more than three minutes after entering Home Depot that an employee by the name of Christina or Christine very politely asked if "I needed assistance."" I told her, "I was in need of some kitchen faucet components to complete my new faucet installation," in which she personally escorted me to the parts needed to complete my project. Being staffed by people who take pride in what they do is a very important aspect in doing business today. She then asked if there was anything else that she could help me with and wished me a pleasant evening. Great customer service and pleasant assistance won me over for all my future hardware needs. Rented a pressure sprayer for 24 hours but couldn't return it in time because my garage door came off the rails, trapping my truck inside. I called the store to let them know I'd be late, and they said ok. When I showed up 3 hours late, they charged me an extra $80. $160 for the first 24 hours, but then $80 for being 3 hours late! I showed them a photo of the garage door and the $375 receipt for getting it fixed, but the manager, Raphael, had no empathy. I hadn't been inside Home Depot in years. Due to some bad customer service at the "L" word store, I decided to go check out depot's appliance section for an over-the-range microwave. All I can say is WOW. Just wow. This place is nasty with even worse service. The appliance section is dismal. It is tiny with missing pieces and masking tape on appliance with "unavailable". I had to ask someone for appliance assistance, although there were plenty of "employees" walking back and forth. A very nice lady showed up and was very helpful. She informed me that if I wanted to order the microwave they charged $59. I asked "for what?" If you wanted it delivered OR even if you wanted to pick it up at the store. She also told me they do not allow returns on appliances. I thank the honest lady for her assistance and ran to Best Buy to order the same microwave. Now that I have refreshed my memory as to why I have not been to Home Depot in year, I will stay away. Can't say I would go here for anything. Every department I looked at was lacking. Went to look at knobs/pull hardware--the 80s called and wants them back! Just embarrassing the selection in multiple departments. read more

From there she guided me on how to track a store to eliminate shipping. She was very friendly, and much more helpful than the jackass at Lowe's. My whole experience has been a nightmare and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased FOUR, YES FOUR Whirlpool appliances that were delivered November 2, 2023. I have yet to be able to use my dryer as of November 30. Items were delivered and the gas was not yet turned on at my new home. I was told I had 48 hours to return the items, but I had no way of knowing in 48 short hours with everything going on with a move that I would have an issue. 48 hours is not a reasonable amount of time to expect someone to know if there's an issue with an item. When the gas was connected, it immediately began filling the room with gas. I called for the gas company to come shut the gas off. They notified me that there was a major leak inside the machine. I went to Home Depot to advise of my findings and they said since it was after the 48 hours, I had to contact Whirlpool warranty company. I contacted Whirlpool and they sent me to the safety department who said I had to contact a third party ASI to come out and look at the dryer (this was more days going by). ASI said it was "a busy time of year" and it would be a week before they could send someone (not enough staff) and that meant more days gone by and still unable to dry my clothes. I was having to wash and then take wet laundry to someone else's home to dry it. Finally, ASI came out and confirmed what the gas company said that the gas leak was not at the connection and that it was in the "burner assembly". I was then notified they would submit a report within 72 hours (more days gone by) and that after that they would order parts. I have always been terrified of a home fire and actually went through this a few years ago with my parents. I informed ASI, Home Depot and Whirlpool that I was scared of this gas dry now, did not want it and want to replace it with a Whirlpool electric dryer. I was informed I would have to keep the gas dryer and that their obligation was to repair the dryer (again no customer service and knowing I was terrified of this gas dryer even if it is repaired). I should not have to keep a faulty brand new piece of equipment. Next steps at this time are waiting for ASI or Whirlpool to contact me and let me know when the parts arrive and I will need to take more time off from work to meet yet another person at my home to install the new parts on a brand new machine. This was not acceptable as I was told I would not be forced to keep this dryer. This was a brand new dryer and I was basically informed even though I was not comfortable with keeping it and wanted to replace it, that this was what they would do. For a company the size of Home Depot and Whirlpool, I expected much more customer service. Not to mention when the appliances were delivered, my front door was scratched and the door wood was chipped off. At this point, I am considering legal action and let the attorney handle this. This is not how a customer should be treated. For a company the size of Whirlpool, $600 is nothing to them and they should have offered to replace the dryer within days to make things right. Be sure you know what you're dealing with when purchasing new appliances from Home Depot and that you are able to determine if they are working within 2 days. read more

We shop here all the time for renovation projects. I got a drywall tape last week. As I was checking out, the only option available was self checkout. And I can feel a pair of eyes staring at me from behind. I understand retail theft is rampant, but who steals one drywall tape? Plus, their checkout counters has the loudest speaker announcing every action the customer takes, so everyone can hear if the customer paid or not. The amount of staring from this staff made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Home Depot really needs to train their staff to gain some common sense. read more

I like this Home Depot, the people are friendly and ask if you need any help. I think they carry some of the best supplies you can buy for your home. One thing I am always looking for in a store like this is a good hardware section and this one does not disappoint. Nuts and bolts are labeled and organized. I really like there tools and equipment you can select from. To me they have the stuff that will last. They have just about everything you need. They also usually have the best prices too. You can never beat the service of a local hardware store but, for a big store like this they do come close. read more

Just had my worst experience ever at this Home Depot tool rental. I went in to rent a lawn aerator. The location had 3. I waited in line for 30 mins patiently while two employees helped people in front me. The employees repeatedly tried to rent me an aerator but couldn't because they couldn't find them in the computer. I'm literally standing next to 3 aerators and they couldn't rent it to me because they couldn't find it in the computer and the printer was out of ink. As far as Home Depots go, this one is fine. I guess my overall issues with this chain are that I find it difficult to locate what I need, there's generally very few employees around to ask for help, and they have what I need about 50% of the time - this one is no different. They had the grill cover and power bar I was looking for, but not the kind of replacement plug I needed. I've tried to give this store business and common sense is not available in this store. Prior to the pandemic this store was bad now it sucks. total confusion. There is only one entrance which is understandable but not markings that this is the only entrance. Parking lot is completely full so no one is taking a head count to allotted # of customers in store its all about the $. All the heavy carts for lumber are a Contractors entrance which is closed. So anticipate walking around a lot. I did not have this problem at Lowes. The attitudes at Home Depot are dismissive and rude. Not all Home Depots are like this so in future ill drive further if I need HD product. read more

Follow up to my 4/5/17 Review. Corporate states they can't install the door I chose. They can, they just choose not to. Instead of bringing this to my attention when their representative was at my home to measure, they waited until the day of install over a month later. They now want to refund my money on the one door but they wasted 6 weeks of my time and now I have to reorder through Lowe's or another competitor to get a front door replacement and wait for that. Home Depot will not offer anything for wasting my time and throwing off my remodel schedule. They will not put me at the top of the list for install on the remaining doors when they rescheduled me twice already. Once because they were behind due to rain and then again because they didn't have the proper brackets for my door. Apparently it is okay for them to delay for others but not to take in consideration my remaining doors should have been installed over a week ago! I should have priority to get my other doors install. I was told by corporate they don't work that way. Horrible store, horrible management and then they don't want to compensate or push time frames for the trouble and grief they caused from their incompetency. Update: Now the Manager, Patrick, is turning towards sleazy tactics by saying if I want to be compensated for my time, I will have to wait until after the remaining doors are installed. This is just a scheme to walk away and do absolutely nothing for me when those doors are installed since they refuse to take any responsibility for their actions and incompetence. Would he be pulling the same games with a man?? Women stay away from this store. They take advantage of you!!! Update 4/17- Third install appointment cancelled because the store did not have the right parts. I wait hours for the installer, change my plans and then they can't do the work because Teresa at Home Depot and the all the people who work there can't get the right part. They usually have staff that's always hard to find. I just need them for one question And it's always to ask what they have in stock? They seem skittish to me at times. Absolutely horrible service! DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT. I purchased a gas stove, scheduled install through Home Depot. Guys came to install and said there wasn't a cut-off valve for the gas, so refused to install. Sent photos to customer service clearly showing the gas cut-off valve to the left of the stove. Install guys came back and STILL REFUSED TO INSTALL THE STOVE. Currently have a stove in my entryway. Customer service is going to "try" and find someone to install the stove. I called to rent a tiller and was advised i needed to get a large tiller for my backyard. A landscaper I spoke too said I did not need a large one that they wanted me to rent. Therefore, I went ahead and got the one the landscaper said would work for the job i was doing. The machine was used in a medium sized area. I hose down the machine and let it dry and returned it next day. My husband went in to return it and they tried to charge us $50 for a cleaning fee because there was a small piece of dirt on it. He wiped the dirt off and said is this clean enough? The guy in the rental department said no. We asked customers behind us and they said it looks pretty darn clean. Then the guy tried to say we damaged the tiller!! *the handle or whatever* One of the workers was the one who put the tiller in my car and bent it down so it can fit. My default hardware store! I had the misfortune of running errands for a home project on Christmas Eve, and although it was busy and bustling, the customer service was really helpful. We couldn't find what I was looking for in the store, but the employees were quick in helping me search. They also pulled up other options online for me, which was time consuming on their part (computers were slow), but very thoughtful in my opinion. I'll be a lifelong customer. read more
