Buying some things and pricing don't match. Not only did I have to do their job price matching their own tags. And take photos for them but I had to go back and take a clearer picture of the date. So you expect your customers to do the work for you. Customer service is not what it once was. Update: after waiting a bit for one of the managers they did change the price. You would think if you're looking at the inventory for the Denver NC store and it says there are 5 black roof turbine vents in stock you would assume that means 5 on the shelf at the Denver store correct? Not here, I go down there to get 2 of the 5 the computer says was in stock only to find out that 5 in stock doesn't mean on the shelf at the Denver store, but 5 sitting on a warehouse shelf somewhere. WTF!! Don't you think that needs to be clarified online? But oh no not at Lowe's. So was going to have to order them and wait a week or more for them to arrive, I got lucky that my roofing contractor was able to find them on the shelf in the Gastonia Lowes because at that Lowes when they said they had 6 on the shelf, that's where they were, on a shelf in the store, not in some warehouse. I really, really wish there was a Home Depot much closer to my house because this Lowes here in Denver really sucks and, if there was, I would never step foot back in this Lowe's ever again!! read more

Forced self checkout now? It's a real pain in the butt when you have 20 plants and you have to do self checkout!!! So I had to go get another cart to make it easier. Such a crock. At least Lea and Lori were awesome employees and were very understanding of my frustration. This Lowe's has gone downhill...FAST. This Lowe's used to be my favorite, now I will refuse to go there. I drove 25 minutes to get bee spray because I was sick of seeing the same storefronts all the time. When I arrived, I was surprised to see a crowded store and most people living life normally. Denver is different than Huntersville, and I like the change of pace. The store was clean, the service was good, and I got my bee spray. But the highlight of this trip was Sock Man. The coolest thing about Sock Man is that he doesn't know he exists. Well, he knows he exists, but not as ... Sock Man! If you would like to see Sock Man, check my photos. His socks aren't crazy or anything, there was just something about his socks that fit him as a person. You'll understand when you see the photo. Having spent over 15k easily at this store in the last 5 years, they have become insanely restrictive on returns. I rarely return things and yet after they scanned my items and took my phone number and drivers license them they started one by one denying returns after having already said they were accepted. My advice is shop elsewhere. Don't change banks because them not having your card to verify the purchase against seems to be part of the issue. Boy oh boy, purchased a wired door bell from this location, a few months back, afterward the card I used was damaged so Amex sent me a new one, because the return desk can not find the charge on the new card they will not refund it. Now the door bell is sealed in plastic container, never opened never used. Gets better, Now right after I got this new card I returned something else of more value that was bought on the old card and was given store credit...no problem, that was all I was asking for, as I was there to purchase more stuff for the home renovation we have been working on for the past year. Gets even better, asked for the manager, Cecil, I asked for store credit and was going today to spend way more than the value of the return, I got "it's our policy", I asked "So you won't refund this value even knowing I've spent over $250,000 at this location in the past year". Now I said this loud enough so other customers could hear. His responds was "we can call the county police if you like", now maybe Cecil is stupid or just dumb and never seen the movie "Pretty Woman" , Maybe he did not believe me because of the way I was dressed, never the less HUGH MISTAKE, I will never purchase anything else from Lowe's anywhere ever again. This is the worst Lowes store in the country. Customer service and employee knowledge of their own policies is a joke. I was making a simple return with a receipt in hand. 8 employees at the customer service desk, but not one willing or able to help me with a simple return. I spent 20 minutes waiting for Linda in millwork to find her way to the customer service desk. When she does finally show up. " She says we cant take that return, we do not sell door." When I show her my receipt she says that is from another Lowes location it must be returned to that location. Lowes corporate offices and their website both clearly say, "with a receipt items can be returned to any Lowes location." Linda had a bad attitude from the time she showed up. After wasting an hour I loaded the return back into my truck and went to the Gastonia store. When I left the Denver Store they gave me back another customers receipt. I realized when I handed it to the very nice customer service associate "Chinetta" in Gastonia. I explained what just happen at the Denver store. She very nicely asked for my phone number, found the purchase on my account from 2 days prior, she showed me the receipt on her computer to verify it was purchase I was returning. I went to buy a dishwasher with a promotional credit card with zero percent but lo and behold they couldn't get that right either so I got charged interest two months in a row. Did I mention not one but two dishwasher came in damaged and I had to wait a month to get it! the girl at the appliances counter does not know what she is doing. Good Garden Center = One of the three Lowe's I shop at, all about the same distance from my home. I was trying to get the last of the plants for my vegetable garden and while a bit more expensive than some other garden shops, they do sell plants in single units. I needed to replace one out of six eggplants the deer had trampled in my garden. When I lived in Pennsylvania, we referred to them as rodents with antlers. In anycase, they still had some left and they were in good shape and had been cared for properly with ample watering and stock rotation. Picked up one and the staff took care of my order in record time so I was in and out in 5 minutes and the eggplant was in the ground within the hour. read more

Seriously, it is 7:45 pm on a Saturday evening and I was trying to purchase some flowers from the garden center. I took them to the register in the garden center to check out. Two snowflakes standing at the register said "It looks like you will have to check out in the main store because we have already pulled the cash out of the drawer!" So I drag my 2 carts of flowers to the main part of the store where there is nobody checking people out! At this point, I should have just taken my items home. Purchased a Craftsman 3300 PSI Pressure Washer last April. Purchased 3 Year Warranty. It was on showroom floor already put together by Lowe's. Used it twice since then and noticed it vibrating funny. The Bolts holding it down to frame were missing. Not sure what else fell off. I took it to the return line. I explained what happened showed my receipt to the Associate. Showed the 3 year Warranty and I asked to either have it repaired or replaced according to the warranty. Associate there said she was just going to return it and put the money on a Lowe's card and just buy it again. I said okay. I brought the new one up and she said that after the return and added everything thing up that I needed to pay $45. I said why and she said when it gets replaced that I have to buy a new warranty. I told replacement is included in my first Warranty. Why would I purchase a new one? Eventually I got to Taylor who is suppose to be the manager. She does not even know how her Warranty works. When she came out I asked if she knew about this issue and she said Yep. So I asked her did she know how Lowe's warranty works. She said what do you mean? I went over my issue and she said the warranty is good for one use. I said so if the tire fell off or broke and the warranty fixed it I would have to buy a new warranty and she said yes. I said that makes no sense. She then realized that she said it wrong and said only if it gets replaced. The other 2 associates before her were confused as she was at first. She then went Technical on me saying that what really is suppose to happen is that I am supposed to call a 1 800 # and schedule repair. I said just give my money back. They went to do it and it was only for the Pressure washer and not the warranty which I really did not get to use. Taylor explained to me how they cannot refund Warranties. I said I did not feel like that was right. Taylor for the last couple minutes before I left seemed rushed and frustrated with me. I said just refund what you can and I will not be back. I said a good manager in my opinion would have issued the extra money needed for another warranty on a gift card or something, but even if she would at that time I would not have taken it. I previously had asked for an email of the receipt for the money returning to my Lowe's Credit Card the other associate before her was going to until I noticed the reduced amount. Now Taylor did not want to and seemed angry when I asked. She said this paper copy already shows the money is there. So I was going to check my account on my phone and she saw me doing that Iand rolled her eyes and said it will take 48 hours to show up. I said I wanted a digital copy of receipt sent to my email in which she did this time, but seemed upset. I will Definitely not come to this Lowe's again. Hate that also. It is close to my house. Worst customer service experience EVER at Lowe's. Miserable Freddie Fatboy working in the PVC section couldn't keep up with his customers, couldn't stock his own shelves, and couldn't find the part I needed, even with an app. I found it. He was too damned lazy to bother to LOOK. Never mind that the store is ABANDONED by sales crew. The remaining crew is either surly, or plain morons. This fellow was just that. A surly idiot. The new model of home improvement stores is abysmal. Lowe's will NEVER see another penny of mine. 7 minutes ago Horrible experience at this Lowes! After ordering a grill online on a monday it was not ready for pickup that day like it said it would be. This was a gift and I hoped to give it to my boyfriend on his birthday on Wednesday. I called the next day (tuesday) and was told that the assembly team left for the "evening" around 11:30 am and that they would not be back the next day, but the day after(thursday) meaning he would not get it on his Birthday. After waiting most of the day Thursday I called again to check on my grill. Was told that it was not assembled yet and that the assembly team was out for lunch. I asked that it please be assembled today. Waited and waited finally got a call close to 8pm that it was ready. Couldn't make it there that evening to pick it up but went asap to get it. On the way to the car the wheel fell off of the grill and we noticed that it was due to a missing part. The lady working at the pickup counter gave exceptional service and tried to make things right, but the manager named Tamika was very rude and did not want to make things right. We will never be back to this Lowes. read more

I am a frequent visitor to Lowe's but was extremely disappointed this morning when there was no enforcement of state mandated face masks for customers. I am a Disabled Veteran and appreciate the services Lowe's has provided to our veterans. With that said, I am a senior citizen with an auto immune desease making exposure to this pandemic very dangerous. You need to enforce this new mandate and focus on the care to all your customers. All I observed was a 8x10 type written sign on one of the doors. Do you really think anyone read this much less even noticed it. I for one will not be back until you put in place the restrictions required and that those restrictions are enforced. This is a great Lowes. We definitely prefer coming here over the one closer to our home just because it is generally less crowded. As a bonus, if you are buying a large appliance you get to pay the denver sales tax versus the Mecklenburg tax. They have a great selection and large clean bathrooms. As a tip, when it is very crowded we like to check out through the lawn and garden center. read more

Lowes put a roof on my house that looked like a drunk installed it. Yes the crew lowes hired did show up on mopeds, but they said they were sober. That should be a sign when you have to ask. They then had to ask if I would lend them tools because they did not have any. After they were done it looked bad and they did not use all the materials. Came by next day and took plywood home, said it was for next job. Yes lowes charged me for it. New roof leaked and caused ceiling inside house to collapse. Lowes said they would fix. They sent same clowns back with a caulk gun. I had a good company called roof maker install complete new roof. Do not use lowes they will not stand behind their work. read more

I love Lowe's as a company but man I have definitely seen better times at Lowe's. Their seasonal and appliance department are top notch but the return/customer service area and cashiers aren't as friendly as I'm accustomed to. Also, I have had a few special orders and installations from this Lowe's and when there is a problem it seems there is ALWAYS a delay in getting something reordered and the most recent delay was excused away (this was even after I called to notify them of the issue ASAP so it was on someones radar to get reprocessed ASAP so there would not be any delays) by an associate because they are minimally staffed in their department basically. The damaged item was returned to the store by the installer around 2pm on Weds and it wasn't until just before 5pm on FRIDAY that I received a call requesting my credit info to get the item re-billed. DO NOT purchase carpet from Lowe's! They use an installation company called SERVICE PRO that SUCKS. Absolutely NO customer service from Lowes or Service Pro and they keep pointing fingers to each other and give you the run around. Our carpet was supposed to have been installed a few days ago and we received a phone call the morning of installation, stating that Service Pro had installed it at the wrong house. Supposedly did a "rush" order to reorder our carpet for us. The carpet is in the manufacturer's warehouse HERE IN CHARLOTTE and neither LOWE'S nor SERVICE PRO will go a little out of the way to PICK IT UP. They are now saying it will be delivered to their store in FOUR DAYS - all this because they refuse to drive to warehouse to pick it up. Meanwhile, our furniture (very heavy desk furniture) has been sitting outside under blankets because it won't fit thru the doors to the house. This is our third time using Lowe's and Service Pro (I know, shame on us for not learning sooner) but all three times have been TERRIBLE with delays/excuses/etc. read more

Lowes corporation sources and sells inferior products. I purchased a Master Forge grill and in less than 2 years it was falling apart. I called customer service and found the repair cost almost as much as the grill cost new. Then my research found something interesting. Master Forge is sourced from China, and imported for Lowes by L G Sourcing, which is, in turn, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lowes corporation. They are finding the Cheapest Chinese Crap they can find, with a solid sounding name stamped on it, and pawning it off on the public. These grills are now some of the worst reviewed grills online, and some models are subject to govt. safety recalls. A good company looks for good quality products to put on their shelves. I had always liked the Denver Lowe's but I purchased a refrigerator from the Denver store in March of this year. It was supposed to be delivered to my daughter although the delivery day was not certain because of the Corona Virus. I don't know what happened but the refrigerator was not delivered and the only proof of purchase I had was on a statement that referenced a purchase of a certain amount. For weeks I have tried to be credited for the purchase price. They finally credited an amount, not the full amount, and how they came up with that I don't know. The refrigerator was purchased in good faith. I paid for delivery and removal of the old refrigerator and the extended warranty. I am not sure what part of the purchase they are not refunding but I think they should refund the full amount I was charged. I am not sure what part of this they don't understand but I would not recommend the Denver Lowe's for anything!!! read more

We live near the Lowes in Denver, NC so we will reluctantly go there when we just do not have the time to drive anywhere else. Every major purchase through Lowes in Denver has been a nightmare. For just one example, we purchased an entire kitchen appliance set last year on a Memorial Day sale. Everything was scheduled to be delivered on a specific day, all at the same time. I had to use up vacation time at work to be home for the delivery window. When the Lowes truck showed up, there was only a dishwasher, stove and microwave. When I asked the delivery guys where the refrigerator was, they said that they were only told to deliver the stove, microwave, and dishwasher. I called the Lowes in Denver only to have one of the most frustrating conversations of my life. I basically found out after a brutal back-and-forth pulling of teeth, that our refrigerator had been sitting at the store for days and was still there. I was given the run-around regarding why the refrigerator was not on the truck. I had to explain to them that I cannot just take off of work on multiple days to be at home during their "windows of delivery times." They finally delivered and installed the refrigerator, but only after a very frustrating phone call. We had an aluminum fence installed through them as well. Once again, it was a big nightmare and the fence installer left a bunch of trash and a pallet which I had to break down to take to the dump. I will admit, the fence looks great, despite the fact that it took FOREVER and a lot of headaches to get someone out to our house to install it. To repeat what some others have said, if you go in there and ask a question, they act like you just ruined their entire day. There is one lady in the garden department who is always upbeat and helpful. Anyone who has interacted with her will know who I am talking about. However, everyone else treats you as if you are ripping duct tape off there skin if you ask even a simple question. I have found that if you need chainsaws, lawnmowers, etc., then go to Al Lane in Iron station. They are friendly and helpful. When I went to purchase a chainsaw at Lowes, they did not know anything, and once again, seemed inconvenienced. When I went to Al Lane, they showed me exactly what I needed, did not try to up sell me to something more than I needed, and they even took the time to show me how to add the chain oil, mix the gas, properly tighten the chain, and went over some safety precautions. For other major purchases, I will go to Lowes in Huntersville, Lowes in Mooresville, or Home Depot in Huntersville. For plants, I will go to Mike's Growers down highway 16 or Brawley's Nursery in Mooresville. Like someone else, said, I will go to Lowes in Denver if I need a pipe, or some potting soil or basically anything that does not require very much interaction with an employee. I don't know if it is just because we are in Denver or if the other Lowes stores compensate their employees better. They need to do something at the store in Denver to make employees more happy, knowledgeable, and helpful. Maybe than could benchmark the management team at Publix grocery store. I have used Lowes for many years Our latest project was pergo flooring and carpet. I will never use Lowes again! The scheduling of install and delivery and ordering was so messed up and caused us so much stress! When we called to get questions answered we got the run around and no one could help. We tried to escalate with no success. The communications between store and install does not exist! They have done nothing to fix the issues! They accidentally doubled my shipment of flooring but expected us to return 21 boxes! I could have gotten refunds for it all but I was honest. (it makes me enter at least 1 unfortunately) Unorganized causing you delay after delay, no interest in solving THEIR issues on your order, absolutely clueless about how to contact their installers or on what their installers are actually scheduling, and most importantly, THEY REALLY DON"T CARE THAT YOU HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE. 1/20 - $4000 blind order with instructions to call when they were delivered 1/29 - blinds delivered 1/30 - called store to schedule delivery, was told would hear from installer in 24-48 hours 1/31 - nothing 2/1 - nothing 2/2 - nothing, called again - was told would hear from installer in 24-48 hours 2/3 - nothing 2/4 - nothing 2/5 - nothing 2/6 - finally installer called, paraphrasing said THEY JUST GOT THE ORDER FROM LOWES today on 2/6. 10 days out from scheduling so install is now 18 days after blind delivery and 27 days from order. 2/7 - 2/12 - nothing 2/13 - Lowes Installer (original one that measured) calls to schedule the install. Says HE JUST GOT THE ORDER FROM LOWES now 15 days after our call to schedule. They quote 24-48 hours, but it was 360 hours! I implore you, save yourself the trouble. Order from Home Depot! read more

Purchased a fence from them. They installed the fence too low in the ground. The bottom rail is just above the dirt. They kept delaying fixing it until the 1 year warranty expired. Spoke to corporate and they want to charge me to raise the fence to the proper height. The fence company they use is Price Family Fencing. DO NOT USE THIS LOWE'S FOR ANY HOME IMPROVEMENT! My sister and I did a renovation on our father's home and it has been a complete nightmare for almost a year now. The girl in charge of this basically just dropped off the face of the earth once she got our money. They owe my sister money for overcharges that she has paid interest on incorrectly - this girl will not return phone calls, emails, etc. Her boss has been contacted, corporate has been contacted and nothing seems to get any results. It is appalling to me that a company could be this unprofessional! If I did this at my job I would have been fired by now. This has been going on for almost a year!
