i actually give this a 0 star!!! I had a really uncomfortable experience at Lowe's today using self-checkout. I asked an employee for help with the checkout process, and instead of simply assisting me, she started closely inspecting the card, front and back, while staring at it suspiciously. Naturally, I looked back at her because the situation felt strange and uncomfortable. She then said she needed to "go get the person ahead of me," and when she came back, she told me my mom had to be present for me to use the card. I explained that I'm 21 years old, but she continued treating me like I was doing something wrong and ultimately took the cart away from me. read more

Worst Lowe's Ever!! I ordered some Halloween decorations and received a text saying my items were ready for pickup. I go to pick up my order and they keep me waiting for 40 mins while they go and look for my order. Then they tell me that they accidentally sold ALL of my items on the order. They said there is nothing they can do about it because the items are sold out in store and online! Then I try to order again during Christmas time and the same thing happens again. Delivery is sub par. Brand new fridge doesn't work. Have to wait a week for a replacement. Crew came and we assumed they came to drop off the new dishwasher but they just got back into their truck and drove off without doing anything. Turns out after a phone call they were supposed to work on the fridge but didn't do anything. The dishwasher was ssupposed to be dropped too. Nope not until after a week. The customer service in this Lowes is the worst!!! Have waited now for at least 30-45 minutes to get assistance finding downspout extensions. I stopped an employee to get assistance and another, Ashley, walked up. Mind you I didn't stop her nor ask her for assistance. I had a young man in front of me whom I asked. Before he could answer she interrupted him by pointing me in two different directions to two different aisles. As I continued to ask questions she got louder as did I. I then walked away to look for the item I wanted to purchase. I picked up something not sure it was exactly what I needed. I saw Ashley in the flooring department and then asked other questions hoping to get better assistance. SHE STATED SHE DIDN'T WORK IN THAT DEPARTMENT AND SAID SHE WOULD CALL SOMEONE IN PLUMBING. She then pointed me in another direction and said to wait for tge person in plumbing. At this point I didn't trust her so called attempt to assist and told her I would wait until she reached that person. She eventually did. His customer service and attempt to assist was professional and appreciated. When I spoke with her about returning the extension I had already picked up which wasn't what I needed, while walking away from me she said "I'm on my lunchbreak" and continued yelling it 2x more afterwards. Purchased a 1000$ Craftsman tool chest from Lowe's in Elizabethtown Ky. Got it home and unloaded, which was a difficult due to the size but we managed, and it had significant damage after we unboxed it. Called Elizabethtown Lowe's and corporate for support and they wouldn't help at all and said we had to reload it and bring it back. We also live an hour one way so it's 2 hours round trip. They didn't care how far we lived, how heavy and large the produce was or that it was sold to us damaged and wasn't our fault. they offered 0 support. We will never shop at Lowe's again. This was my husbands birthday and we spent the entire day on the road returning a busted up product they sold with no customer support. Do better Lowe's! read more

Unfortunately the Home Depot in Elizabethtown is a small store with less inventory than Lowe's. ordered a refrigerator from lowes said delivery would be between 4-8. 8 o'clock comes and I call to see whats going on and they have me call someone else who has be call someone else. 4 times I had to call a different person before someone finally told me that my order was on the truck and it could be up to 2 more hours before they get here. Why tell someone they are going to be there between a time and not show up. At least have the decency to call them and say hey I'm running late. We went to lowes today to get two garage door openers and a bunch of other things . When we went to get the openers there was again saying, $ 99.00 dollars install. The fine print said buy one and get a discount with the other. So after waiting for 45 minutes to get the answer of what kind of discount it was , no one knew. Lowe's has a sorry Delivery Department, the employees schedule deliveries on days that are not available and of course you never know until you call in. Apparently training is lacking. They provide inaccurate information and forget leaving an alternate contact number because the info is not written down. They only identify the Asst. Manager by their first name Jamie just in case you complain to their corporate office. Don't bother asking for the corporate offices number because there is not one only an email. How convenient. I met with Michelle Wilkens December 2014 to remove and install a vinyl fencing for a total of $12,375.94. This price included the removal of my old wooden fencing. January 2015 the fence was installed but was not put on the property line. The young man who looked to be 16 years old approached me to say my neighbor told them not to put the fence on on the property line. My neighbor say they never told the workers not to put it on the property line. The fence was put in the old location. Instead of the workers removing the old fence, they threw some of the old materials behind the fence. February 2015 one section of the fence started to pull apart. I called Michelle. She sent someone out to repair it. The workman that came out told me I can repair the fence myself. He said if he came to my house again he would charge me $50 each time he came. I never received a refund for the materials that was not used to replace my fence. Practically every other month the fence was pulling or falling apart. Many calls and texts were made to Michelle. She returned my calls maybe three times. After many calls and text someone come out one time, but nothing was done. Each time I called Michelle there was always and excuse. She was on another site, sick, on a vacation, or having a baby. No one returned my call. The last text I receive from Michelle was April 2019. Michelle texted me that my texts were given to her manager and he told her to stay out of it. Her manager which she did not give me his name and number never contacted me. Everytime me or anyone in my family went to lowes we've recieved nothing but hard times to receive our military discount. When we were at cashier 12 the person in front of us only had to show their military ID and received their military discount without asking if they were registered for the military discount program, when it was our time the lady demanded that we needed to be registered which we were and then demanded to see a form of military ID. The person behind us was not a military personnel but offered to give that individual military discount. There are some straight racist cashiers at this lowes location and we will no longer bother with this store at all! Home depot is were we will stay loyal at because we were treated fairly every visit ! read more

My moms large chest freezer went out in November. On November 22, 2022 I bought a large chest freezer from the Lowe's in Elizabethtown for my mom. It could not be delivered till December 26th. No way around it. We've had snow and ice and fridg it temps for days now. I realized I didn't get a phone call Saturday saying the time for delivery today. I called and they said it had been delivered. They delivered to my home. The hill I live on is steep. My brother went to my house. And said it looked like they put it on a dolly and pushed it up the hill to my ground level basement door. I have a car parked there and had other items on that patio they have probably crushed. My brother went to get the freezer to take to my moms house and ran off the drive in the ice and snow. My moms drive is on an ice covered incline as well. We had to store the freezer till there is a thaw and we can get it into moms garage. Now if it's damaged they will say I did it. They didn't speak to anyone and delivered to the wrong address. This isn't first time they have done this. They delivered building supplies and had to go back and pick them up from outside my house and bring back later. I do not recommend their delivery folks. Do NOT purchase any appliances from Lowe's even with an extended warranty. We bought a $2500 refrigerator and the ice maker broke. We called for service and someone came and replaced it. It broke three times after that in the same way. They came out and replaced it every time. After the 4th time it broke we called and asked them what they were going to do about it since obviously it wasn't going to be fixed. They stated that the ice maker was only an accessory and not a major failure so all they would do is come out and replace it yet again. So now here's another day off of work waiting for the repair man. Then when the extended warranty that we purchased runs out, I'm stuck with a $2500 refrigerator that doesn't make ice. I've shopped here a few times without issue, but after my recent shopping experience I won't be returning to this store. Get ready for a novel.... Lowe's isn't my favorite home improvement store, but the My Lowe's card makes it easy to apply the military discount without having to ask for it. I hate asking for the discount, but when shopping for home improvement projects, it definitely makes a difference. Anyway, I went to Lowe's to gather the supplies for a paint project. The goal was to touch up the old paint in my rental property. I brought in a swatch that I cut out of the wall, and took it to the counter to match. I told the guy at the paint counter that I needed the cheapest builder-grade paint that they had, since I know that's what was on the wall. Without ever checking the paint, I took it home and started touching up. The color wasn't even close! I knew it might be a little off, since the originals were painted a while back, but this was REALLY off. Why?! Because the paint guy brought me some fancy expensive paint + primer. I should have checked, but I was in a rush to get my project done. To fix the horrible splotches on the wall, I took the same paint swatch to a different home improvement store and grabbed the cheap builders-grade paint off the shelf myself and took it to the counter. And guess what?! It matches PERFECTLY! I was so upset with the result of my Lowe's paint purchase, that I won't be going back. Well, maybe to return the paint but that's it. Not sure if the guy was trying to up sell me because I'm a woman and wouldn't notice, but I definitely did. Disappointing. read more

There was a disconnect somewhere in the purchasing and delivery of 2 toilets I bought. On the delivery date I set home to wait on delivery and when it started to get late in the afternoon I called Lowes and was informed my delivery date was in the system for a week later. I spoke with a Mr. Juan and explained my situation, that I had bathroom floors being installed the next day and had planned for and was expecting my toilets to be delivered that day. He said he would check on things. He called back and said the toilets would be out shortly, and they were delivered within a half hour of my call. I love the people here! That being said I have never been to the store personally I have only ever called them on the phone. So I can't tell you anything about the actual location other than their customer service rocks. I am in the process of moving to KY from VA with the military and purchased a almost complete home that needed a few final touches. Not only did the people here patiently walk me through getting what I wanted they also took the time to mail me all my receipts when I was done. I had to change my order several times because of items being out of stock or me just not knowing what I wanted when I called. They wound up having to do several refunds and next/same day deliveries for me. I dealt with several different departments and management and had no problems with any of them. read more

I ordered carpet from them and the installers were not reliable. Then when I called Lowe's about this issue they just called the installers and were told the same thing. I finally had to go above them in order to get a different installation company.
