She said oh it's two cents so I can't sell it to you. So I politely I said can I speak to the manager please and she said yes. He said oh thanks for finding it for us. I can't sell it to you. so no wonder there's no one in this parking lot. If you're looking to have installation work done, I highly recommend that you use someone else!!! The installer was excellent and we are highly satisfied with his work. However, Lowes failed us. We were told by a Lowes employees who came out to give us a quote, that a simple, non-custom exterior door would be installed within 6 weeks if not before. It ended up being almost 4 months. We paid $1400 upfront and didn't see installation until months later. Scheduling kept getting delayed for no reason at all. The weather was nice so it wasn't due to that. We kept getting calls, emails, texts saying the door hadn't been received, our installation date had changed, etc. They even quoted it to be installed on a Saturday, which installation never happens on a weekend. Then, finally, on the day of installation, the installer goes to pickup the installation materials, and is told they didn't have everything because they had mailed some materials to our home (unbeknownst to us, which we never received anything). This came from our installer, not Lowe's. Lowe's then proceeded to tell us that we were going to have to yet again, reschedule installation. But thanks to the installer, Paul, he found a way to make it work. Thank you, Paul! As far as the installer goes, they were A+++!! Paul arrived on time and installed our door perfectly with no issues. However, we will never use Lowe's again. read more

Hey folks. How can Lowes have less than 4 stars? I don't get it. So let's start with parking. They have Veterans' parking spots for those who served. I rarely use it unless the place isn't busy and lots of other spots are open for older fogies like myself. The stores are always clean as one can expect from a DYI big box store. Lots of staff walking the floor in case you need assistance. And they have "it". What is it? It's it. What is it? It's it.. You want it all but you can't have it... it's in your face but you can't grab it.. (Faith No More - Epic) So I am helping my son update his house. Replacing kitchen appliances. Was looking at a Black sink. Lowes has a pretty nice selection. Someone in their faucet dept has a pretty risqué sense of humor. Click the pic if you dare. I was rollin'. Adult humor so avoid it if it's not yer deal. I price comparison shop. On some things, Costco beats them. But Lowes has qualified staff that can give you the rundown on how things install, and offer excellent 3rd party installers that get in and get out of your way. All in all, I love shopping at Lowes because from roof to slab, and all in between, they have it. I just saved a bundle on my new roof buying every component at Lowes. Anywho. Lowe's has lost my business. I purchased a washing machine to be delivered to my condo. I asked the associate if they were able to install the washer in a stackable unit and haul the old washer away. She informed me they would, no problem. On the day of delivery, the movers call to say they can not put a new machine below or on top of a machine older than 6 months (the dryer). I informed them I had confirmation from the store associate that this was able to be done before I purchased. They said no, it was against the policy. Now I have to pay a handyman an extra $600 to come install the washer and haul the old one away. Customer service was no help and parroted what the movers had said. There's no common sense or flexibility with these big retailers. They're programmed to take your money and recite the policy without taking each customer experience into account. They will never get my business again. read more

On 5/8/24 I bought a Kobalt Cordless Electric chainsaw from them. I salesman said I should also get a matching pole chain saw. I told him I had one, loved it, & used it regularly, that's why I was getting a regular chainsaw from them too. He suggested I buy a back-up chain for the pole saw so when it dulled, I wouldn't have to stop a job & go buy one. I agreed. He handed me the chain & I checked out. 15 months later I needed to change the chain on the pole saw, but when I tried, I found that it was way too big. I couldn't find my receipt, but went to the store anyways(credit card purchase). I was told in no uncertain terms that being more than a year, without a receipt, there was nothing they could do. What a waste of time. It took me a month before I ran across the receipt. I happily went back to the store. Even though I now had the receipt they said it didn't matter, there was no refund or exchange. So why did they waste more of my time bringing back a receipt? Their salesman talked me into buying it for use later & then gave me the wrong one. How is this my fault? I don't want my money back, just the right chain for the saw I purchased. Between the 2 saws I spent over $400. Are they seriously going to throw away all my years of being a loyal customer over $20? When my Kobalt lawnmower stopped working after 35 months, I took it back to PAY for repairs I had no receipt. They said they didn't fix them, but I could just go and get one off of the floor as it still had one month on the warranty. That's why I have stayed a Lowe's customer. Whatever has changed has not been good. I will now likely do most of my shopping at Home Depot or online. I guess I will have to go to Amazon to find a replacement chain for my pole saw. When another customer came up he stop assisting me and started helping them. Purchased a Refrigerator at Lowe's. It 7 attempts to deliver one undamaged. The 7th was damaged as well but after 6 previous attempts - each time they had to remove the exterior door on my house - we just accepted it and had them replace the door. We have now had the fridge about 18 months. The door feel off at about 6 months. Hinges were replaced. Both doors are about to fail again. Water dispenser never put out more that a drizzle. But hey, nobody is perfect. So flash forward to today; I need another filter for the water/ice maker. I go to Lowes at precinct and Hwy 26 in Hurst TX to get a filter. I looked on my own for about 15 minutes and just couldn't find it so I ask the lady covering the appliances section and she tells me they don't have that water filter. I said "we bought the frig here. She told me they don't have the space to carry every part for every appliance they sell! Well Lowes I didn't expect that you would carry every part for every appliance you carry. I did expect that you would carry the REPLACEMENT water filter for my refrigerator since you carry them for all your other refrigerators. I also expected to be treated and spoken to with some respect. Especially after all the other crap that I have put up with from your company. I wouldn't recommend Lowes for much more that fence pickets and that only on certain days. I wish they better, we sure need more places to purchase things that still hold quality and excellence as something to strive for. John read more

Too bad the good experiences here are outweighed by the bad. Went in today in 108 degree heat to get paint and supplies. Had the paint swatch with me but "janae" couldn't be bothered to hang up her personal call while speaking with me to actually help. Instead of trying to help by asking what I needed it for and explaining the different type of textures, she just rolled her eyes at me when I couldn't remember if they tiny paint sample was a blue or gold can. She never hung up her call btw but asked who I dealt with last month. When I told her, she said he was at lunch and I should come back when he's back. I need to wait for an employee to come back from lunch TO BUY PAINT?! So unprofessional that their employees actually have active personal phone calls on earbuds while dealing with customers. Hopefully when I trek back out in this heat (with my actual can of sample paint in hand to avoid any confusion) there will be someone at the paint counter that cares enough to help customers while they're on the clock. read more

This place has terrible customer service at the manager level. I'm done going here, even though it's right next to my house. Home Depot is worth the extra drive. I TRIED to purchase some ethernet cable. I needed 50' and thought they would cut it to custom length, but that's not a service they offer on ethernet cable. One of their senior employees (older guy, camo vest, SUPER nice) helped me locate the right cables and we noticed a 100' cable that was not in its bag and just had a ziptie holding it together. I offered him 50% of the sale price since it was "damaged product" (it appeared to have been cut down from 100' to something shorter) and he accepted. We went to the front of the store where everything went bad. I stood next to the self-service employee for about 10 minutes while he REPEATEDLY called for a manger. I think he got on that intercom at least 10 times; I could see he was trying. Eventually the original senior employee came by and said that Gloria would be there shortly. After another 10 minutes I just waved to the self-checkout guy and walked out of the store for the last time. read more

Tried to leave a review through my receipt and wasn't able to. Rickey Rodgers helped us and went above and beyond. He was patient with us, and let us look at different washer and dryers. Explained to us how to use the warranty if we needed to and even set up delivery and gave us the option to take our old washer and dryer. You need to hire more people like Rickey, as newly couple I saw so many and I've heard bad things about Samsung and he didn't talk down any brands, he explained to us what different functions we would get with each brand and ultimately me and my fiancé went with LG. Time for an update! I'm definitely a fan of Lowe's, although I seem to find myself at Home Depot more often, not sure why. Maybe for the hotdogs... Does Lowe's even have a hot dog stand? If they do, I haven't seen it yet. The selection at Lowe's is so far so great (I spend most of my time in the garden center, of course). All the plants and plant-tending goodies you can think of, plus a really awesome selection of pots. We just bought a huuuge pot for $28 to put our new Japanese maple in. Tons of options for all your potting needs. Ha. I find the prices at Lowe's to be super fair, and sometimes they have really great deals online. Last Cyber Monday, I bought a gorgeous artificial Christmas tree, 9 feet tall, for only $133. That is SUCH a good price for a giant beautiful tree. Ordered it online and it was ready to be picked up later that day! I was out of town, so simply forwarded my boyfriend the confirmation receipt, and he picked it up. I was accidentally charged twice, but no big deal. I called customer service and they quickly solved the problem with ease. No waiting on hold forever or having to talk to multiple people/recordings to get through. My only real complaint about Lowe's is that there never seems to be enough employees at check-out. There are loads of people moseying about the garden center and indoors, asking if you need help. But when you're finally done putting too many things in your cart, all ready to go, you typically have to wait in a decent line to get outta there. went to the store at Eastchase today. this was my second visit to the store. both times there was poor customer service and rudeness. The first time went to pick up mulch in the garden center. There were no carts. my brother and I are both elderly and disabled. I asked if there were carts and was told rudely there at the other end if the store by a Hispanic woman at the register, who then turned her back. She made no effort to call for carts to be brought as the other stores like Arlington will do for you. we left and bought at Home Depot. The second time again was today. I found plants on the clearance rack which were the Monrovia brand spruces that were marked to 12.00 from 37.98. The black woman at the register refused to sell them to me and said because whoever marked them had no business marking them down and that the system would not accept that price and allow them to be sold to me. Not only is an internal problem with staff not to be discussed with customers, an employee should always verify for the customer and given a better reason why I was not given the plant for the price marked clearly. I have never seen a store do this. Was it marked down for an employee to purchase later? Thats what it felt like to me. I will go further to Arlington Parks area or some other area to shop. Why they treat people like this us beyond me. It is the very reason people prefer Lowes over Home Depot. I called to speak to the manager and was told her name was Jimmie and that she was not in and i asked for her last name and was told Manoopaloopa. Ghetto people should NOT answer the phone for businesses. Period! read more

Purchased some items for a large project. I was told I could pick them up with in a 2 wk period. The first pick up literally took us 2 hrs. 1 bathtub and several pieces of drywall. The second time I talked to customer service and asked if I could pick it up tomorrow. She said I could just walk in and it would take less than 30 mins. I told her I'd waited 2 hrs previously. She claimed "it was a slow day". Went in the next day to pick up the items and waited over 2 hrs once again. This is ridiculous! Delivered wrong fence panels to house with most panels almost unusable. I had the lady whose fence it was to order cedar and they delivered the lowest quality yellow pine. I was out of state for awhile so the lady has to fix the order. They didn't fix it, instead they gave her a handful of cedar Pickett's to mix with the crap yellow pine. Gave her 120 back even though she already paid for the cedar which is about $15 to $20 more per panel. Nothing like ripping off women and children. So dishonest. Update 8/25/2019 Turns out they gave her only one gallon of stain for compensation and she had to drive 31 miles to get it. I finally made my way over to this Lowe's and was very happy with my visit. The staff was friendly and helpful, the selection was great (I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to leave with) and the prices were pretty good (from what I could tell they were $1 - $2 cheaper on certain items then the closest The Home Depot, but I'm sure that varies from item to item). My biggest compliment has to go to the guy working in the appliance department. He could've tried to sell me on an expensive fridge, or a waterless hot water heating system (I'm trying to discover ways of saving on the electric bills), but instead he was upfront and honest about the products. He showed where I could save the most money (on a more efficient washer and dryer), he told me that (in my case) it would be to my advantage to get a better water heater then a tankless one, and he explained that there really wasn't that much of a savings between the most efficient and the second tier of fridges available. That was worth so much to me and I'll definitely think of Lowe's when I'm ready to make an expensive purchase like these. read more

She had been researching items on-line and was ready to purchase. The first salesperson approached seemed preoccupied with whatever. He walked us through all the procedures including requesting items on-line and escorted us to the carpet department to speed our transaction there. Yes this is Lowe's. At Lowe's they carry anything and everything that you ever needed in YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. The quality is good and the prices are fair, that is if you can ever find anything in this HUGE store. The selection and quality are 5 stars but the service will barely squeak by with 3 stars. This place is huge and I never seem to be able to find anyone to help but once you do they are normally pretty friendly and knowledgeable. Kendall, in a review below, says there service is great. Yea for her maybe. She's a beautiful young woman that's sweet as can be, I'm a fat old guy, who do you think gets the better service..... (sorry Kendall) My main gripe with their service is that they have pretty much gone exclusively self-checkout. One day I walked up to the only checker that was left and she pointed me to the self-checkout. I told her "I'm sorry but I don't work for Lowe's and do not want to check myself out" plus it is taking away jobs from the checkers that used to work there. She angrily checked me out and seemed MIFFED when I told her I was trying to save HER job. (I guess it didn't work because she is no longer there.)
