I placed an online order through the Lowe's app. The full amount was immediately charged to my card. Then, one day before delivery, Lowe's charged me again -- around $150. On the scheduled delivery day, I got an email saying there was a payment issue and that unless I updated my payment method, I wouldn't receive my order. After finally reaching a representative, I was told that only the second charge had been fully processed and the original full charge was just a "temporary authorization." At no point during the purchase was this explained. I wasn't aware I needed to keep double the amount on my card just to complete a single order. I had already paid -- I didn't have more money on the card, and I shouldn't have needed to. They should have simply captured the funds from the original charge. I spent days going in circles with their support -- no one could resolve the issue. I only received part of my order. No clear communication, no accountability, and zero resolution. Extremely disappointing. I do not recommend Lowe's online ordering at all. read more

My issue is with the Lowe's Credit Card service - Synchrony Bank. In August they increased my limit to $17,000.00 from $8000.00. Cool right? I made two payments on my account in August, and then went to make another payment in September and the account had been closed. No one has an answer that is in any way plausible. If my credit score is 740 how is a low credit score the reason for my account being closed. This was the last strike for me with Lowe's. I'll buy local from this point forward. read more

Great because they have excellent customer service, with experts visibly there ready to answer your questions and to direct you to where the products are, that you asked for. Very different from the orange store where the aisles are bereft of experts and if you do fine one, you know where they are by the crowd of customers cluster around them. I need a not so common item: an abrasive brick to smooth ceramic and masonry. I asked the tool people and then spent a lot of time going through their tool area and later aisles 38 & 39. Lots of abrasives, but not what I wanted. I paid for other items I needed and went home to look for it on the internet. There they were! Exactly what I wanted. So where could I order them? I thought it a mistake when Lowe's Indian Land came up with an in-store inventory of 8 on hand. My wife said, you better call them before going over there again. I did. I spoke with Rick, in lumber. Yep...he told me to come in and ask for him. I did. He had 4 on the shelf. Nice guy, very helpful, as he took me over to the shelf and pointed them out to me. He said that when I had called, he went over to the shelf, used his scanner to positively identify the item and especially to ascertain how many were there. Apparently that is standard procedure for Lowe's. I left happy and my mission was accomplished. Don't understand the bad reviews. We have always had great customer response whenever we could not locate something or wanted to know which of the items would best meet our needs. Thanks, Rick in lumber. read more

Larry is the best. Our kids have turned our side yard into a mud pit. Larry went above and beyond to help us figure out the best way to save the grass/keep our neighbors from hating us. Before our lawn tutorial from Larry, another employee helped my husband problem solve his cold plunge set up. Later, the rental guys walked through the price differential between renting and buying a chain saw. Super helpful, knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care about our project/budget. I ordered a Bali motorised blind from them. First they just did not take my ordeer. So I had to do it again. The second time they did it right and the gentleman assigned did a good job assembling it. But they did not order or provide the charger of the battery. While setting up the order they should have added it as it is a custom charger. The folks might be polite, but there is something wrong about the process. read more

The management and customer service at this Lowe's location is horrific, the folks in the kitchen appliances section are RUDE and very DISRESPECTFUL! They will move fast to sell you an appliance and push for the protection plan, but when you return for help with an item that short circuited, they will dismiss you with a number to call. The guy that sold me the item with the lowest protection plan and who I asked for help 2 months after my purchase said to me, in a very condescending tone in front of my 77 year old mother "I'm repeating myself" after I asked him 3 different questions and he gave me the same repeated none related robotic answer. Annoyed and dismissive he gave me a number to call, which I did call and they could not locate my purchased protection plan. So I went back to this Lowe's the next day for help again, but went to a different annoyed sales rep. sitting next to the previous grumpy one. And he gave me the same dismissive answer with a straight face handing me the same number to call. So now I'm paying off a $600+ item that no longer works, and I have no where to go for help. Money down the drain with a Lowe's protection plan. The DMV treats you way better than this place! Do yourself a big favor and avoid this Lowe's location and Lowe's in general! I'm personally sticking with Home Depot, they won't fail or SCAM you like Lowe's will. read more

I have to first say that I would give five stars to the lady in Doors & Windows named Sue did an exquisite job helping me. However, I have called the store in Indian land North Carolina countless times and then hung up on several times. I'm trying to locate an item that was missing from my order and it seems like they don't care enough to take care of customers therefore making the term "customer service" an oxymoron. Do they teach these people any kind of customer service any longer? I would think if this company wanted to make money they would teach people how to be a little nicer when they deal with customers. read more

While I will remain a customer, they need better management. I waited 25 minutes for someone to help me purchase window blinds. After three pages, no service. The manager of this store has failed to train employees and instill best practices. when I asked to see the manager, he or she was not available. Lowes needs to review this store's customer service. I specifically want to give a big shout out to Anna McCowan! She is AWESOME! If you look up customer service in the Lowes dictionary, her name would be there :-) I was looking for security cameras and Anna spent much time helping me to find what I needed. Not only did she never seem frustrated, but she was so willing to check everywhere and pull things out of boxes to read what each did to see if it fit my need. I was very impressed by her. At one point, I felt bad that she was over extending but she just didn't mind trying to see if we could match my security needs. Her boss asked her into a meeting but she was diligent in assisting me and shared that she would be in once she concluded our search. She was willing to call another store and did just that. We found what I needed right there though, because of her persistence. A good chunk of dollars later, I was a happy customer leaving with just what I came in for. Way to hire Lowes. Anna's Manager Heather is always nice when I come in also. Just goes to show it's a trickle down effect. I have to also mention Darriyah my cashier, she also did what she could to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I always get good service at this Lowes. Perhaps other stores can learn from them! I went with my wife and daughter this week to purchase a faucet at this store. We went to the self checkout, and my wife told me to make sure that I used my military discount. I told her that my mylowes account wasn't working, so we would just have to not get it this time. Out of nowhere an employee named Judy approached us for no reason and said, "you are not entitled to a military discount. It is just something corporate offers, and we can choose not to give it to you." I responded, "well Judy I can choose to not shop at Lowes." She then said that I did not have to shop there. I was so shocked that an employee would come up to use completely unsolicited to disrespect a veteran for no reason. I spoke with the manager Andy, but highly doubt any action will be taken. It won't matter to them, but I will never shop at Lowes again. I will be sure to let everyone know about this, and will continue to spread the word. read more

This is a great location. Well stocked with amazing customer service. My husband was looking for a part for his drill to help us disassemble a desk to move it to a new room. We were looking independently when Blue came up and helped us. He was awesome then I selected a Stanley cup and we looked at some other items and headed to self check out. We had a gift card so we were waiting for the employee to help us (they have to type in your DL#) and a nice lady who appeared to be a manager came out of her office to ask if we needed help because we were kinda standing there. She was super nice and said to get started and the attendant would be right over to help. I believe his name was Fabian sooo nice super helpful. The Stanley cup I selected was incorrectly labeled for the price and he happily adjusted it for me. Super excellent customer service and stock. We are happy to be living so close to this location. Tons of helpful employees looking to actively help customers was a breath of fresh air. read more

There are many items miss-marked in price. Do not go by displays as they will have a sale price next to a display model but the tag will be of a different item. Case in point, I found this kitchen sink on clearance with display but James the current assistant manager on duty says the one I found was not the one sale priced even though it was the same display that I found. This guy wanted to try and talk circles around me about it but it's clearly obvious. He said too bad but I'm not selling you the same display for the marked price. Spent an hour being shown vacuum cleaners and went to the front paid and after an hour told they don't even have in stock! Staff a register nice but manage sucks!!!Off to Home Depot to get our vacuum! Where you are treated right!!!! Guess what by going to HD we saved $40 on same vacuum. This Lowes store can be hit or miss sometimes with their spotty customer service and who you're dealing with. There's one customer service associate at the customer service desk who does just enough to get by and can be rude and indifferent at times. However, I don't want to condemn the entire store because overall there is decent customer service, the store is clean, nice selection of home improvement needs and you can pick up orders placed online. read more

Literally just walked into this Lowes. I asked an employee, "where are the refrigerator filters... " He says, "over there on the ends...." pointed, then said, "actually I need one too". Walked behind me to the filters.. I said, "how do I know which one to buy? I have my model number with me". He says, "take it out and bring it in". He then grabbed HIS filter (for his OWN fridge) and walked away. I was shocked. Thankfully a female employee heard everything and helped me. The employees in the departments are extremely helpful... WHEN THEY'RE THERE. I'm an up and coming contractor. And Every single time I go there, I need a couple things from at least 3 departments and there's never any employees working the departments if I have a question, need to know where something is, etc. it's absolutely ridiculous. Then I get up to the register and there's NEVER enough cashiers. Ever. The lines are always backed up about 10 people with one girl usually running the register... two if I'm lucky.-- but that's just in the front. The same thing happens at the lumber register, sometimes this dude named Chris will get on and help the girl check some people out to get the line down faster. Chris is great. When I have a specific question he can always lead me in the right direction but he's not always there. However the ladies at pro service desk don't know crap. Don't know why they were hired there. I come to Lowe's to get my supplies and get what I need to get done as soon as possible and its impossible to at Lowe's. --any location. Not just this one. Never using Lowe's again. Home Depot will get my service from now on. read more

Seems like my review is a pattern for this location, and it appears Corporate could care less. I went in Sunday evening to the paint department. Three employees were acting like fools behind the customer service desk while I waited roughly 10 minutes for an employee to finally wander over. I was trying to purchase 3 gallons of interior wall paint for my house to finish painting before my flooring team came the next day. I was flat out told by the employee they did not have Valspar interior paint. I wasn't aware that interior paint was so valuable or something that had to be ordered well in advance. I called the store the next day to speak with a manager about the situation, and encountered someone named "Buck" who claimed to be a manager. If that is true, then the store has even bigger problems as his repeated response was "I can't respond to that." In short he made it abundantly clear that he could care less about the situation and his solution was for me to come back over and see if someone else could find the paint for me. I called the corporate hotline and was greeted further with indifference by a girl who simply told me she would pass along my complaint to the store. Not that someone at the corporate level would look into the matter but they would pass it along to the store who clearly has no work ethic. I had excellent experience at the Lowes on the corner of Johnston and 51, I was able to get someone to provide the paint I needed with a great attitude, so I am not saying all Lowes are horrible- just the one located in Indian Land. If you have home needs avoid Lowes at all cost. If you must go there, go to any location but the Indian Land, SC store. Can't wait for Home Depot or Menard's to open a store right next to them!! read more

We paid full cash money to have a new fence installed by lowes. We'll my lowes rep was all about hounding me towards the end of the month to get this done. He kept asking me how I was gonna pay for it. I know he was commission based by how hard he was hounding me to make a decision or when I was paying. So mean while we proceeded with the transaction then the materials show up in my driveway. The installer comes to install it and get all the way to the end of the installation and find out we have a 5-foot gate, correct size, then a wrong size 6ft gate. Now we are going on 2 weeks since our installation. we just received the gate today, 11/30. But my lowes rep hasn't once checked or updated me he had some lady call me the other day to update me, and she was very rude. I have asked to seek some compensation but keep getting told that once the gate is installed, we will talk about it, so im expecting they're gonna work their way out of it. We were thinking about having flooring not through lowes, but since this Fiasco lowes will no longer get my business, I will drive the extra bit to Home Depot. read more

I went in to exchange a light that had a five year warranty. I went to the return counter with original receipt, original box and original paperwork. LEE actually chuckled when he saw the date was from 30 months prior. He laughed and said that electrical is 90 days for returns. This is a Lowe's product that only they sell. The box has the five year warranty listed in five different spots. Lee refused to honor that. I then had to walk back to my vehicle in the rain to read over the paperwork. It CLEARLY stated to return it to the original place of purchase for warranty issues. After going back in (in the rain) and told no again, I informed LEE that I was going to start a video and he needed to get a manager. He then was able to give me store credit... Which is all I wanted as I walked over and got a replacement and checked out... Horrible customer support!! read more

This is the worst Lowes!! Save yourself a lot of time and go to Home Depot. I've spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to get someone to help me on more than one occasion. They are short staffed and most of the staff they do have has no interest in helping. There was one person in the paint department that was nice and willing to help however, there was a lengthy line waiting for this one person. Their customer service is also set apart from the store itself so if you try and go there for help you actually have to leave the store, walk back around to the front and then go into customer service. Basically nothing about this store is helpful or convenient. read more

The customer service at Lowes has reached a new low. My daughter and her husband spent thousands on new flooring that was defective. Attempting to return the product has been a nightmare for them. Damon, the manager at the Indian Land location was the worst. He made promises, broke his promise, he accused them of lying, he didn't listen to them clearly and ended up sending a truck to pick up the product at the wrong location, interrupting guests at a vrbo twice. The men then arrived at the correct address days later with the wrong size truck and piled the wood on their driveway. Then promised to pick up the wood flooring days later, and its still sitting in the driveway. They still have not been reimbursed for their costs. I tried calling Damon and he told me he would not talk to me. Then, I called the general customer service phone line and sat for half an hour waiting for a someone to answer the phone, which never happened. Damon then refused to answer the phone for my son-in-law. Next step is to escalate to upper management, hoping there will be some help. If Lowes continues to refuse reimbursement, next step is the Attorney General. I will NEVER ever buy anything from Lowes again. I understand it's a woke company now. Beware of Lowes. read more

Ok I'm not happy right now with Lowes in Fort Mills. I'm not going to address Lowes overall because most of our experiences have been good. However my wife visited this location on two separate consecutive occasions to purchase mulch an hour before closing only to learn that their staff seem more interested uninterested with working but rather focus on ending their shift. I understand you are ready to go home but when you are working in a business that stay open and allow customers entry they should be able shop as they would at any other hour. My wife was told to come back the next and make her purchase because the clerk didn't want to inconvenience someone with doing their job. The clerk then was nice enough to offer a alternative of getting 20 bags of mulch herself. This is also a form of discouraging a purchase.If I were the manager and found out someone was turning away business, this person would be reprimanded and mandated for retraining. I want to be fair, if this is a new policy with Lowes, that any purchases made from the Lawn and Garden area has to be made by 8pm, I would be more than happy to adhere to this as long as it is posted. Come on Lowes your reputation is better than this. I have a Home Depot in my area at Rivergate that's much closer, but Lowes has always been good to us. Please speak with your staff. read more

I recently bought a house and now I spend way too much $$ and time at this store. Pretty sure I'm the Mayor of this place now. But I digress - I'm returning yet another item as I learn what items I ACTUALLY need for my home projects and an extremely impatient woman is in front of me in line is royally pissed because she's waiting. No biggie, I have nowhere to go in a hurry. She actually gets so irritated she storms into the break room and demands someone to assist the lone girl at the Cust Service desk. By the time she's explained her complicated return and new purchase to the poor soul enlisted to help this woman, the really nice girl already manning the desk has processed my return and I'm moseying through the store to spend more money. Jerry in the paint section is very busy trying to assist a bunch of people too, but manages to find the time to look up an item I'm hoping is in stock, grab a ladder and help me get it down from the overstock items. (He was my HERO for the day - this silly project HAD to be completed asap!) Every time I've visited this Lowe's I always find a friendly helpful face. Sometimes the sections are abandoned and I need to ring the bell for assistance, but it occurs to me that everyone on staff is willing to jump in and help out in any section of the store that they might not be in their designated spot. No problems here - friendly, helpful staff? I'll happily wait - now only if that lady in front of my in line would get on board :) read more

Had an issue with some blinds I ordered and then a different mistake was make. They were supposed to cut on two occasions and I had even paid for them. The first time I went they weren't cut because they decided I needed to pay and hadn't told me before and the second time the blinds I had purchased were lost. I was frustrated but the third time I came in a guy my the name of Dalton not only stayed 30 minutes after the store closing hours to make it right he even gave me a discount on the blinds for the hassle. I get that things go wrong, it's how mistakes are handled that show me someones true colors. read more
