This place is a customer service disaster. I bought 4 appliances from them, took delivery and discovered a dented drawer on the range. I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone; so I drove the 40 minutes to the store. The person in appliances told me he'd check on whether or not they could replace the drawer and call me in 24 hours. You guessed it: He did not. So, I tried calling him, and again, getting someone to answer the phone became a long term project. After at least a dozen attempts, I finally spoke to a gentleman who said he would order the drawer. It has now been a week.....I've heard nothing, and spent my morning trying to reach someone who could help. Many more calls, and I was told that the man I spoke to is not in and "maybe he'll be there tomorrow." My bottom line: Although it may seem like a good idea to buy Lowe's appliances, be advised that you can expect no after sale assistance and do not plan on dealing with them by phone! read more

Drove up from the cape to buy a hammock. It's sept 5, 86 degrees outside. Hundreds of hammocks on their website, called the store and they said they sell hammocks. Get there and no hammocks, plenty of snow blowers and Christmas stuff but no hammocks, on a hot summer day... read more

This store has terrible customer service. If you need someone in a paticular department you can never find them in the store or reach them by phone. I have called the store 9 times to try and schedule an installation for a washer and dryer we purchased a week ago. I still have not been able to reach them. This has been a very aggravating experience. The people who answer the store phone seem so put out that they have to transfer your call to the department. read more

Worst service I have ever experienced. Associates standing around, ignoring customers, doing all they could to avoid eye contact and even when asked a question, seemed put out. Nobody could help us and we were told we had to make appointments to talk to anyone about kitchen or bath design, even though we knew exactly what we wanted and really didn't want design service. No other customers were in the department. Although convenient, I'm done with Lowe's! Went to cabinets to go instead and had amazing service and the products were much better quality. Sorry Lowe's, you lost out on $7000 and that's only the start of our project spending. read more

A good hint about this store is that the early morning contractors picking up their stock for the day are elsewhere. This store rarely has the product you are looking for. Either they are out of it or don't carry it. One of the managers told me that all Home Improvement stores are having trouble getting stock. It is interesting that when I leave this Lowes and drive to exit 5, they almost always seem to have it. After looking in the Lowes in Kingston this morning, I drove to the Lowes in Pembroke and made my purchase. You couldn't walk 50 feet in the Pembroke Lowes without someone asking if they could help you find something. read more

I am a regular customer at Lowes, Store always looks nice, well merchandised, and usually has what I need. However, service and help is one of the worst around. This Sunday, walk into a very busy store, walked around for a while and picked up a few things. Get to the front to leave, 1 register open with a line of 5 people, go to self checkout and 2 of the 4 self check out reg are broke. Also a line here, I ask the self check out employee to ring me out and she tells me she can't, so I wait in line and check myself out. As I finish I see the self check employee ringing someone else out!!! Why re they better than me? If you want to service in business, the first step is taking care of the customer!! Store needs a reality check and a manager that is visible. read more

If I could give this store a 0 stars I would. I have been trying to call the store and the phone has rung 36 times with no one answering. How do they stay in business.? I purchased a washing machine on 5-20-2017. The delivery date was 6/04/2017 by XPO delivery services. The installers placed the machine in the laundry room and left. My wife then started a wash. I heard the gushing of water coming from the rear of the machine.The installers had neglected to secure the drain hose with the clamp that came with the washer. My wife and spent two hours cleaning up close to 20-25 gallons of water from our floors. The water leaked into our basement and ruined ceiling insulation.I called XPO to register a complaint and was told to wait for the telephone survey on the delivery. Meanwhile I secured the drain hose with the clamp provided.I called Lowe's and they stated they would note my complaint. On June 5th I called XPO again to see if any manager had been advised of my complaint. The associate said she was doing that and said I had answered the telephone survey the previous evening. My wife and I did not receive any phone survey the previous evening. She stated she would have another phone survey sent.Why does this company not send surveys thru email/internet.I finally got connected with Lowe's manager and he siad he would have the XPO manager call me re my complaint. Nothing so far.Lowe's should definitely change delivery service and get rid of XPO. Not a happy camper. read more

I have never experienced such a disaster as Lowes. I ordered a door in December. Despite telling them repeatedly which trim I wanted, months later, the door came in with the wrong trim. They reordered. In July, the door arrived at Lowes again. I don't know if it's the correct door. They were supposed to install it, but I've been calling them every other day since July -- no installer, no delivery, nothing. Every time I call, I get a different person. They know nothing, have to "look into it" and promise to call me back. No call every comes. I call again. Same thing. Since July. This is September. I needed four sliding doors that could only be purchased at Lowes. A friend knows the manager of another store. I ordered the sliders there, no problem. That manager called the original Lowes, asking for my door to be delivered. Three times. Nothing. No one knows anything about my door. They have to "look into it" and call me back. Came time for the sliders to be delivered. The delivery company, apparently owned by Lowes, gave me a time window, from 2 - 4 pm. At 8 pm, in the dark and rain, the delivery truck showed up. The men were too small to lift the sliders -- had to take them back to the warehouse. I lost my carpenter to another job. They couldn't deliver the next day. Two days later, they scheduled a second delivery for 8:30 - 10:30 am. They promised to have people who could actually get the sliders off the truck. At nearly 9 pm the night before that delivery, they called. No delivery. The truck had broken down. I expressed my opinion. Around 10 pm, an automated message: expect delivery between 1:30 - 3:30 the next day. In the morning, I let my carpenter know the 8:30 delivery wasn't happening, to please show up for in the afternoon. A half hour later, another call. The delivery time was back to 8:30. I again called my carpenter, who'd told me in the first place not to deal with Lowes. Another call--from the driver. He was alone. Could I (a female senior citizen) help him carry the four, seven-foot, very heavy sliders. I again expressed my opinion to the store. Finally, the sliders were delivered. As the driver was leaving...another automated call. I should be at home tomorrow, for a delivery. Wth, I wondered--could it, at long last, be the door that I'd ordered in December? I canceled my plans for the next day and called the delivery company to verify that it was, in fact, the long lost door. "Please leave a message." Night. No return call. I called the store. "We don't know anything about your door." I persisted. "No, there's no delivery tomorrow. The notice was a mistake." Lowes in Kingston has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. There seem to be a lot of nice people, but the system has completely broken down. Their trucking company, XPO, appears to be almost as bad. If anyone absolutely must purchase from Lowes on the South Shore of Boston, I suggest the Weymouth store, but I, myself, will avoid Lowes like I'd avoid the bubonic plague. read more

Don't ever consider buying an appliance from Lowes . My dishwasher has been out of service for 4 of the 8 months that I have owned it and Lowes has been giving me the runaround the entire time . They were absolutely awful in standing behind their product.. read more

I give this review one star only for the pleasant clerk at the customer service desk. Now for the bad. Don't ever go to Lowe's to have a door replaced. That's purchased and installed by Lowes. These jobs are contracted out. It is obvious to me no contractors want to work for Lowes. My first interaction was made on Jan. 15. It is now March 13 and I still do not have my door replaced. Several calls made to Lowes in between these dates. Each contractor that was assigned to inspect the job didn't show for the first 2 weeks. Contractor finally comes we agree on a price. I paid for the new door and the installation. 6 weeks later and 2 different contractors that got assigned to the job, I get a call on Saturday that contractor will be at my home on Monday between 10-11am. Well as you can guess, said contractor never showed up! I went back to store got my money back and told mgr I will go to Home Depot they have people willing to work for them! Never again! read more

It should be a rating of negative 5. Terrible customer service! I will not give another one of my hard earned dollars to these thieves!! I bought a $500 hot water heater with a $60 extended warranty. When my plumber finally installed it 3 months after purchase, we discovered the overflow valve was faulty and sprayed water all over the basement floor. I ran back to this LOWES on that Sunday afternoon in November and bought a replacement so the plumber could reinstall and provide my family of 4 with hot water. I brought back the faulty hot water tank yesterday with receipt in hand. They would not refund me my $500 and said there was nothing they can do. Extended warranty?? They said they could refund me the $60 for the warranty and that's it. Ha! What a joke!! Noow I'm stuck with a brand new hot water heater that doesn't work because it's not in their policy to refund unless a tech was contacted to set up a time to come out and fix it. Looks good on paper until a 6 and 4 year old don't have hot water in November. Have fun at LOWES dropping extra cash for a warranty on your "big ticket" items when the warranty only covers what they want. Nice warranty system LOWES! They offer you the warranty service every time you check out, they take your money, and then fight you when you try and use it. I would suggest sticking with the smaller "mom and pop" stores. You might pay a few bucks more up front but in the end you'll get a better product and better customer service. Unlike the unprofessional, impersonal, "pass the buck" until my shift is over mentality at the KINGSTON MA LOWES! Never again LOWES!! See ya! read more
