We went on a mission to the Kyle Lowe's to get materials to put pavers in our patio area. Thanks to Mike Gardena who was the cashier we were fortunate to be in his line. He was able to redeem the shopping experience. Too many young adult men pretending to be working in the garden area. I didn't get names but if you see two 60-something women loading up 40 pavers and 8 bags of sand, step up and offer to help. Nope! They were too busy "looking" busy. Once we had all our materials on the flatbed cart and started towed the checkout, I caught the attention of one of the slacker teens and asked if he could help us push the very heavy cart up to the checkout. You would have thought I asked him for a kidney by the way he reacted. Finally he says,"I guess so." So sorry to take him away from the cart with two small items he had been pushing through the garden center the entire time we were shopping. With all that being said,Mike was great. Very helpful and friendly, give this man a raise, he is doing the work. Those other two gentlemen were just pretending to work to get a paycheck. The young man who helped us load our pavers and sand into our vehicle was great too. He was so careful to not scratch the interior of our car as he loaded all that sand and all those pavers. He said he enjoys helping folks load their vehicles. I wish I had remembered his name. I know it started with a "J". Thank you again! read more

I reviewed the vinyl sheet flooring on the Lowe's website for the Kyle location. I found a style I wanted to buy. I drove to the store and discovered that they had none of the available in the store I had seen on the the store was crowded with employees. There were so many employees wandering around. Nevertheless, I had to go out to my pull up the website order the product that I site unseen. I didn't drove 20 miles away and received a text when I pulled into the driveway that my order was ready to be picked up at Lowe's. They explained to me that they keep their products in a warehouse nearby because of demand. There was no demand was the only person standing there looking for vinyl flooring. After a 40 I have to go back tomorrow to pick up this item. All Lowe's has to do is make a sign on their website that says none of these products will be available if you go to the store so you might as well order them and then go to the store and pick them up. I don't know who who's in charge of customer service at or maybe no one is. I mentioned that there were so many employees at the Kyle store because when I went to the last week on Sunday, there were very few were all high school and in little sections like outlet covers there were almost no inventory to choose from. From those professionals that wield a cordless drill in one hand, a hammer in the other with a tool belt that would make Batman jealous to those of us who don't know the difference between a miter saw and compound miter saw, Lowes is THE place to stop by for so many home improvement projects. Located right off of I-35 in a safe part of town, Lowes has some really good people, willing to assist with all your questions. I've found myself doing a lot of home improvement projects from finishing an attic, repairing side paneling to upgrading my yard and I've always found what I needed. Moreover, I got my Weber Grill from there and I use my it at least 3 times a week. Also, I had to upgrade a drill and the associate advised me against one product for another that has lasted me years. I've needed keys and it took literally 10 seconds. Oh, and for paint.... They're experts at matching colors. I'm not going to wax poetic like I do in other reviews but end with this Lowes is great for all sorts of reasons. We ordered an entry door. It was supposed to be delivered on a Wednesday, and the installation was to happen on Friday. They texted me several times to confirm the delivery date. On Wednesday afternoon, they texted me that the delivery was being rescheduled to Friday. We called and managed to get it changed to Thursday. We waited around all day Thursday, and at the end of the day we were advised that the delivery was re scheduled to Friday and they would re schedule the installation. Friday morning arrives and here are the installers at the door. We rescheduled the installers for the following Tuesday. The door arrived at 4:30pm. It was the wrong door. We called Lowe's and the woman who answered the phone spoke broken English, and she apparently did not understand us, so she transferred us to the installation department. There are more details that contributed to this fiasco, but suffice it to say that if I can't buy what I need from Lowe's and take it with me, I'm not buying it. read more

Our cashier, Mariana, was very professional and patient with me as we worked through a payment link for our new Home Depot card. Where to begin! My fridge was going out and my contractor ordered me throne I picked out. When they delivered it the top was severely damaged, but they had to leave it because my fridge wasn't working. Also, one of the young men that tried to shut off my water caused a slow leak. Thankfully Andrew, made a special trip to my house to repair the damage his team caused. Otherwise I would have had to wait until Tuesday because the kicker is they only deliver on Tuesday or Thursday!I am only off work on Tuesday. So the next Tuesday they bring me another one, but whatever they did when they installed the freezer is not installed properly. This has created a sheet of ice in the bottom of my freezer. So, you guessed it, have to wait until Tuesday to have someone out. Oh, they give you a window between 8am-8pm, so you are not only inconvenienced by their screw up, your whole day is shot! I have to say Lowe's customer service has dramatically improved I'm the last two years. I normally shop Home Depot on Kyle but have begun going to Lowes if the item I need is I'm stock. This visit Matt was extremely helpful when shopping for LED bulbs. The last ones I purchased were really yellow and I wanted a brighter color. Matt explained the differences in the bulbs and helped me pick the correct color. For just a few dollars more he recommended the LED over the fluorescent tubes due to my complaint of frequent replacement. He also recommended an LED bulb for my ceiling fans that would be much less yellow. I definitely recommend Lowes in Kyle and will be back read more

If only I could give zero stars! Absolute worst service ever. My husband ordered and paid for appliances in November 9th. Lowe's "third party delivery service" chose the date of November 28th for delivery. We drove from houston on the 27th to be here for delivery that was supposed to be on the 28th between 8-12. After 2 confirmation phone calls my husband calls them at 11:30 to see where they are..... we got too bad, so sad they aren't on the truck. An absolute complete cluster. I've wasted no less than 30 hours of my life on the phone with the manager of Lowe's, Justin who dodged my calls to trying desperately to reach an actual person at this "delivery center" trying to get answers. Crickets.... Canceled last Wednesday with Lowe's. Went to Best Buy Wednesday night and my beauties arrived today. Ken is appliances is a complete jerk. Yesterday at 1:30pm was the second time that we attempted to give him our business. He was rude and condescending. He did the same to another couple. We could have bought our washer there, but we chose to drive back to Home Depot where we went to first because of his horrible attitude. Keep in mind when we had our first interaction with him, we mentioned it to management and they did nothing. When I shared with the associate at Home Depot, they stated they had heard about him. I never write reviews but this man needs his flowers! I called in a panic because I needed to replace a piece of glass in my apartment I was moving out of. Perry answered and gave me all the answers I needed and was so helpful on the phone. I rushed over from south Austin to Kyle to get this piece of glass and I searched all over for him but I didn't know his name at this point. I eventually asked a gentleman if he knew where I could get a piece of glass cut and he instantly knew it was me. As he was cutting it for me we made small talk and laughed about our love for our cats. After the service I thanked him and he could sense that I just needed a hug & he asked if he could give me one. We used the self checkout at Kyle TX Lowe's at around 3:01 pm on June 23rd. We have a military discount and asked the lady for assistance adding it. She was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that we had asked for help. If this is how Lowe's employees normally treats their customers who served, then I'm a little worried how they treated their older veterans. We did not catch the employees name but she was a white lady with long blonde hair tied up in a pony tail. A little on the larger side. This location has the laziest management. I implore corporate to call as a secret shopper. Ask for garden and see how long you're put on hold. Why even have a phone line if the staff blatantly ignores it? This day and age of entitled just lends itself more towards excusing poor customer service. Other questions besides stock availability are sometimes present. If we can't solve our questions via the website. We're expected to venture into stores. Asking the same employees who can't be bothered with simple questions via telephone face to face? The same person that is allowed and encouraged by management to ignore phone inquiries. Very disappointed with Lowes. Bought a very expensive Frigidaire refrigerator, less than 60 DAYS ago and it completely quit working. Started with freezer first then the rest went down next day. Brand new! Lost about $300 worth of food! Went to Lowes for help and was told "sorry we can't help you, you have to contact the manufacturer, nothing we can do". I wanted to return the unit and was unable to get any assistance. Had to wait for a week to get repair man to come. Our food has been in coolers, having to buy ice daily. Like very many people I have spent thousands of dollars over the years at this store. I went in on Saturday to purchase a new vent dryer hose and some other things. As usual all employees on the floor, they don't make eye contact or even consider offering to help. Not even a smile. When I went to check out there were no register's open and the self check was backed up. While I asked a sales person to open a register she told me to go to garden to check out. If I didn't need what I came for I would have just walked out. This has happened more over the past few months and seams to be their standard of practice now. I know they don't give a crap if I shop there or not. However I will not be back at all. My only hope is that they go out of business. I am just an individual with a sizable project; not a contractor or professional. In the last few months since starting my project, I have primarily used this store for materials to about $10,000 so far. Lowe's doesn't carry a specific type of paint to insulate the roofs of busses so I ordered it online. I called Lowe's paint department to see if they would put the two gallons on their shaker even though I didn't purchase it from them. The gal who (eventually) answered the phone said "Sure, bring it in".... so I drove the half hour to the store, waited 20+ minutes before anyone even showed up to the paint counter, then waited another half hour before the clerk said nope.... they wouldn't put the gallon buckets in the shaker. While I was waiting, this same clerk refused to help another customer paint match his sample! What?!? So I helped him!! What has happened to Lowe's customer service??? Early in my project two employees spent a good bit of time matching the color of a skirt! This clerk couldn't be bothered... This clerk spent 3x the effort NOT helping than it would have taken to BE HELPFUL to either of us. This Lowe's is depending on customers helping their customers rather than providing services they advertise! This clerks response was that (they) would try to find the gal I spoke to, presumably to stop HER from being helpful! Disgraceful. Unprofessional. They wasted TWO HOURS of my time and STILL didn't do anything helpful. I will no longer be shopping at this Lowe's. Home Depot is right across the street. read more

In these days when customer service is a forgotten art we had a fantastic experience at Lowe's today. We were looking to buy bags of dirt to fill a flower bed and my hubby was not looking forward to loading them on the cart and struggling to haul them out. He was standing in front of the bags when an associate walked up to him and asked how many he wanted. He told him oh about 20. The young man took one look at the small cart my husband had and told him to wait a minute. He took off, quickly returned with a larger flat bed and another young man and not only loaded twenty bags but pushed them through the line as we checked out. They took them to our truck, loaded them in the back,and then helped me with my flowers. I've gotten so used to trying to outrun escaping employees at other chains that this was a great surprise. It was our first spring visit into lowes this year and you can bet I won't go anywhere else anymore. You guys are the best. read more

Bad customer service overall. Have spent thousands of dollars with them as I been loyal to Lowe's. Sucks that a $36 air filter would end my loyalty for them. More than worried about their bottom line than taking care of customers. From the bad reviews I haven't been the first one and probably won't be the last. Tried to get a guy to cut a piece of wood for me. He acted extremely bothered by it but he finally cut it but didn't cut out the damaged piece. The cashier noticed it and suggested I get the leftover piece cut. Took half an hour to find someone to cut and that guy refused to cut the other piece. I'd already paid for it and its cut so I can't return it. Decided to make do and brought it home and the pieces are uneven. I like how they are much looser about masks than Home Depot now. I give them 5 for the other visits where we spent hundreds and 1 for this one. If I need wood cut, definitely going to HD going forward. I couldn't find a good number to complain to the store I just get automated chat. It's only $20 but we've spent hundreds there and I have better ways to waste time and money. read more

Great customer service in the flooring department an decent everywhere else too. My problem is with the people they use to actually put the flooring in! They suck!! Nice but suck... And they could have picked up their cigarette butts from my driveway! The reason I went with Lowes because Empire had crappy reviews and I needed it done fast before my furniture came. So I guess I got what I asked for a fast hurried crappy job! I can see the sub-flooring on the side where they cut into the carpet too much. The steps! Ha... I can see where it's not tight enough. I have stepped on staples and bumps. The corners are pretty crappy. I do take some blame because I didn't catch all this really till after they left and I really looked around. I don't know how they would have resolved this if I was more thorough with the walk through and called Lowes? I just was to stressed from moving out of state to Texas and I feel the window for resolution has closed. Next time I will go to a real carpet place! read more

Very disappointed that you now suspend email receipts. As a business owner it's a great comfort that I can send my workers up there to do phone sales and know that I will get the receipts for my accountability and profit and loss statements. Sometimes workers lose receipts or forget to turn them in. As a business owner I would say this is a very bad move. Home Depot even keeps track of all of my expenses on a website I can log into. I'm guessing that's where I'll have to send my workers from now on. read more

I ordered a stove and a dishwasher to be delivered to san antonio on Monday. Instead of my local store (1 mile away), they are supposed to deliver from near Austin (Kyle,TX) 60 miles away! It was supposed to come Monday but it never did. They didn't even leave them at the local Lowes. Lots of excuses even though they were 30 mi. west of me and had to travel back 60 mi. east of me to get back. They did not deliver and went home. They said I could next get it Thur. I told them I was available ALL day mon, tue, wed but had made an important appointment for 10-11:30 on Thur and would not be available at that time. I even spoke with a supervisor who said they would ake care of it. When Thur came, they specifically wanted to deliver from 8-12, possibly at the time I was not going to be there. In fact, mysteriously, i was 5th in line earlier in the morning but all of a sudden, at 10am when i left, I was first and they called to say they were delivering. I spoke with the driver and they said it was ok, that they would work it later. At at 10:22 via door-street cam, I saw them drive by twice when my daughters were in the driveway and a few minutes after one daughter left in the car, they drove by twice more and stopped in the street in front of my house for about 3 seconds and were not seen again. I got a call near 4 claiming that they knocked on the door and no one was home so they couldn't deliver and that I would have to wait until Sat to get them delivered. He also said the supervisor would call me. I called back and hour later after checking the video. They did not call back like they said they would. Also, no one ever knocked on my door. Someone was always home, even if they did come. They also did not call me again after the first call at 10:09am when the driver said they would work it out later. I got Ivy in Kyle and she said that they had tried calling and delivering later but that is not true as I have phone call logs and the video. This is beyond ridiculous and I hate being lied to as that is the lowest of the low. I cannot do anything except believe that they never had the items on their truck or they are just trying to scam me. When I talked to Ivy and her supervisor on Monday, I heavily recommended good communications. I guess they don't really understand what that means since I received a lot of assurances but no results and barely any communication unless I was the one calling them. Its such a shame since they are so pro family but this kind of bad service is driving them into bankruptcy read more

Lowe's has a policy of not refunding any Christmas stuff after the 26th. I get why but my lights were defective. They basically sold me defective merchandise and wouldn't honor even store credit. That basically amounts to theft in my mind. Store clerks weren't helpful or understanding. Terrible customer service. read more

Delivery service Lowe's contracted damaged brand new vinyl flooring in 15 places, by slamming a washer and dryer on the stairs to the second floor laundry. We called Lowe's immediately & provided photos of the damage. Lowes claimed it was not their responsibility & referred us to UST delivery service (even though Lowe's hired them!). After being passed along to 98 Ventures (?) they denied our claim, stating they could not possibly have done this!? There wasn't any other furniture in the home at the time and flooring was just installed! We further contacted Lowe's corporate and they promised to have someone contact us within 72 hours. Of course 2 weeks later & no call. Buyer beware! Lowe's delivery service is NOT Lowe's and Lowe's will NOT assist you with any damage claim. If I could give zero stars, I would. We will never purchase another item from Lowe's and are sharing this experience to spare others the same trouble! Terrible customer service! read more

After getting the keys to our first home the obvious first items on the agenda were paint and new locks. Seems easy right?! I'm what we shall politely call 'particular' ( I want thing a certain way... Mine). The hubs and I made a list, things we knew we needed, and some paint colors in mind. We had some sketchy room measurements. Off to Lowe's! We pull up and it's smaller than the one in San Marcos. Hmm. First stop paint. We barely get the cart in the section (which I must add is a brilliant design for a cart in a home improvement store). We are not even in the department a minute before we have the paint dude giving us his undivided attention. He's able to pull up and help us locate color codes from the paint we used 2 years ago in the apartment. Tells us what finish is best for the room, even asks what we are painting over. Freaking awesome. He also mentions the paint sale going on. Helps us decide the grade of paint, and goes to work coloring magic. We head to get the small paint supplies we need and head to the lock section. Where within 3 minutes 2 employees stop to attempt to assist us. They could not but a simple push of the 'I need help' button gets us yet another awesome employee who makes sure the 3 locks we needed were all keyed the same. He even busted open the package and did it for us as a tutorial. Ok quick calculation shows we are at budget, but decide to look at fans because we love them. Again several offers of assistance. Does this store have an above average of workers per square foot? When we make it back to the paint center, where the guy who helped us earlier is apologizing that he had to separate our 5 gallon main color because he didn't have the base. BUT! He makes sure to tell us to separate our paint and paint supply purchases into $50 increments to get $10 off each $50. The cashier knew what we were up to and turned off her light to make sure she did things right. When the computer did not cooperate she made up the difference in a gallon of paint. While this review is overly long. As we left the store I added up the 5 separate transactions the cashier did to save us the most money she could, we went from at budget to $150 under. I think that alone is worth taking the time to point out how far everyone we saw who worked there thought of what we needed, and to help us save money. read more

I recently purchased a home in Kyle after 6 years of apartment living. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowe's in Kyle to be delivered on the 23rd. On the 21st, I received a phone call telling me delivery was going to be delayed until the 27th or 28th. (I moved into my home on the 23rd.) I received a text last night telling me my delivery window was from 2-6 pm the following day (today), and that I needed to confirm. I did confirm. So from 2-6 I eagerly awaited my delivery. At 6:05 I called the delivery number. I was initially told delivery was going to be 7:45. He quickly recovered and said 6:45. (No one deigned to call me to let me know there was a delay to begin with. Heaven forbid you notify the actual customer.) I made another phone call at 7:00 and was told by a man that they stopped delivering at 6:18, because of transportation regulations. (WTLH?!) He tried to put me through to a manager to RESCHEDULE (!!!), but the line rang and rang. I made an additional phone call and was informed that no, they didn't stop delivering, and I was 12th in line. She did not understand why I was told delivery had stopped. The woman on the line was very helpful and patched me through to the delivery manager. He told me they'd be here in 30 minutes. The delivery guys were amazing and professional. They got right to work and left shortly after hooking up the water line. They were the highlight of my experience with Lowe's. Maybe they should be in charge. I am extremely disappointed in Lowe's right now. I am angry, frustrated and dismayed. No customer should have to feel this way. Would you allow your employees to feel this way? Your family members? I felt like an afterthought. The courtesy of a phone call would have been nice early on. I would have been upset, but I understand things can happen. Maybe some training is in order for your delivery dispatch department. Make those calls!!! Trust your customers!!! read more
