Perhaps I am just lucky, but I have experienced better customer service, better expert advice, and have met some of THE coolest and friendliest employees at this location than at any other big box type store. I am a night owl so I'm usually there in the evening, and in those times I have made some legitimate friends with some of the staff after they went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. As a chemist it is often the case that I require an eclectic assortment of items for various applications. This is my first stop when I need stuff like acetone from Klean strip, MAPP gas torches, butane refill cans, electrical appliances, fasteners and fixtures, copper wire for the metal itself, starter fluid cans from which diethyl ether and heptane is obtained via simple distillation, concentrated HSO drain cleaner ("Zep" brand sulfuric acid drain cleaner), NaOH granules ("Roebic crystal drain opener"), or personal protective equipment like safety glasses, I can always count on the employees of this Lowe's to forego hasty judgment and negativity and instead exhibit rational professional courtesy and friendliness I have seldom found in other locations! read more

They did and certified it as defective and needing replacement. After avoiding the issue for 6 WEEKS Lowes decided not to replace it stating it is not their responsibility because they no longer carry this model. Advantages and Disadvantages First I must commend the employees at this location. All of them are friendly and willing to assist. It is the back-end operation that needs help. This is both a one star and a five star experience so I settled for three stars. I ordered a fridge and while I was happy they price matched when they set up delivery they didn't realize this was a special order. Rather than next day delivery the special order took two weeks. Upon delivery, it was damaged and had to be refused. Another order was placed and I was finally given a delivery date to the store... THREE weeks out making it FIVE weeks from my original order. The day it is suppose to arrive they call me and tell me it is delayed and will not be in the store for another 10 days. I ended up having to cancel my order and find something in stock. Remember, this is a refrigerator! So, I waited five weeks to settle for something I am not really happy with but had no choice as it was the only in stock fridge in the fingerprint stainless. My contractor agreed to pick it up for me but rather than pulling it immediately and placing it in the pick-up area I was told I had to call back in an hour before he wanted to arrive (to avoid waiting). After 8 minutes on the phone I have been assured it will be waiting for him. Previously ordered toilets for pick-up bu my contractor and he let me know more than once that he had to wait an hour to get them. He prefers the other big hardware store in town but Lowe's has more items in-stock ready for pick-up. My tip: check the websites for all of the major retailers before purchasing. Lowes price match is easy and worth it! Sometimes the prices are the same but you wouldn't believe the price difference on some items (like smoke detectors). Compare and save. read more

Dealing with this Lowes store has been one top 3 worst customer service experiences I've had...and I have had some doosies over the years. We ordered a washer online on November 4th...after ours went out. We have a family of 5 and laundry piles up quickly, so we were pleased when we were scheduled for delivery on November 6th. November 6th came and we were given a delivery time window...but the window came and went. Later in the day, we received notification that the store was rescheduling our delivery for the coming Wednesday. My wife took off work to be home for the delivery on Wednesday. When the delivery window came and went again, we contacted the store only to be told this time that "the product was not in stock and they were having trouble with supply chain issues." I asked why we were given two separate delivery dates and actual time windows for delivery...and why the product was listed as in stock on their website if none of it was accurate. I complained that my wife had to off work and said had we known the product was not in stock, we would have gone somewhere else. The representative had no answer accept to repeat the supply chain issues and tell me it was listed as in stock because there is a floor model. He then said, let me be doubly sure about this and go back and put eyes on the stock. He took my phone number and said he would call me back shortly. But as of 10am the following morning, I had not received a call back. So, I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I was put on with Bennett. Manager Bennett seemed authentically apologetic and interested in making things right. He researched me a comparable washing machine, gave me free delivery and installation, and free haul off of the old matching. In the process, he took my number and called back three times to confirm various things. He rescheduled the delivery for 11/18 (yesterday). Given Bennett's responsiveness, my wife and I were hopeful we would have a washer on 11/18. Once again, yesterday, we were given a time window of 10-2pm for delivery. My wife and I had to jump through hoops to make sure one of us was here at all times. I called about 10am to make sure they were on schedule for delivery and was told - "yes, the product it is on the truck and you are stop #8. The truck left the store a little late, so it will be closer to the end of the 10-2pm delivery window you were given." When they still had not arrived at 4pm, I called again and was told this time -- "It looks like the product was not loaded on the truck." WHAT?!? I asked to speak with Bennett who had helped me get the new order setup. After a long hold, Bennett came back and apologized, saying "The product was not put on the truck because the delivery company only delivers to my area on certain days and he was not aware of that when he scheduled our delivery." Absolutely at wits end now, I asked to speak with a higher level manager, and was put on with Carlos (Assistant Manager). After explaining the situation AGAIN and expressing absolutely upset I was, Carlos did some digging and came back with a new version of what happened. This time, he told me, "Your product had to be on the truck because a delivery ticket was printed. The ticket would not have been printed were that not the case. But, we use an outside contractor for delivery and when they see a Maryland zip code, they sometime don't do the delivery if they don't feel like going that far." WAIT WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!? Now my frustration and patience were gone and I was livid. I told Carlos that while I appreciated his honesty, what he told me is simply unfathomable to hear from the manager of any company, let alone considering the circumstances that his customer had already experienced...and the multiple variations of stories I had been told. Carlos told me they would be happy to "compensate me for the inconvenience once the delivery was completed and the product was delivered in good shape." He arranged for Sunday delivery (i.e. tomorrow). This morning, we received a voicemail from someone at Leesburg Lowes saying, "It looks like our delivery truck ran an hour short on time yesterday and could not make it to you. We now have you scheduled for delivery on Sunday. Please call to confirm delivery." WAIT WHAT???? That is now the 5th version of what went wrong yesterday with our delivery. And, besides, why do I need to confirm delivery? As I write this, I have been on hold for 50 minutes trying to confirm the delivery that Carlos (the Assistant Manager) arranged yesterday with a very upset customer. COMPLETE AND UTTER INCOMPETENCE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM!!! I have ZERO confidence our delivery will happen tomorrow. The only reason I am seeing this through is because of the compensation I was told they would give us. If I walk away now, not only willl I likely not see that compensation, but I will be back to square one with another company and who knows how long that will take. Just unbelievable! read more

I had such a great experience at Lowe's today. There were so many CSRs that approached us with greetings and support. We needed to purchase flooring and David was exception from the beginning to the end. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and efficient. He helped us pull inventory from the top shelf and gave us the pallet so that was have the best product. Each boxes were inspected and he made sure we did not take home damaged boxes. I came in for a simple electrical repair and needed assistance, making sure I got the right electrical box. The employee who was assisting that aisle with rightfully helping customers who came before me. However, as I waited, the employee proceeded to have long Conversations with the customer before me beyond product assistance into construction knowledge, permitting etc and even discussions about products from their rival store Home Depot. As the other customer said to the employee "I'll let you go to other customer" (Me) the employee made no attempts and continued to have conversations as I sat there waiting for approx 4-5 min until I grabbed a box and left . I may or may not have gotten the right thing but I found it to be beyond rude and poor customer service from the store. A quick check with me or acknowledgement is all that was needed as he clearly was engaging in a long winded,detailed conversation. I had the piece I needed to replace in hand, standing 1 foot from him in front of the many boxes .I simply needed a "yes , no or get this" and he could go back to imparting his knowledge to others. I was upset but I didn't engage with the employee or cut in so the previous customer didn't have an awkward experience. As usual when I left, there was very little lines open the focus was on self check out with a very minimal contact or assistance from employees. She is hands down, without a doubt, the most amazing human being I've met in years. So polite, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. This women was handling multiple customers at the same time. Bouncing around from one register to another, from phone calls to online orders. No employee should expected to do that much work load alone. One of the managers even came up to override and didn't even stay to help shorten the line of customers she had. I recognize talent when I see it. Claire is an asset to the company. Assumed he had to use the restroom but 15 minutes later I decided to ask the cashier at the front for some help. He was the only paint mixer and decided to take his break at that time. Cant blame someone for wanting their deserved break but waiting 45 minutes for a can of paint seems like a strange thing that management should consider when scheduling their people. I'm not typically one to review big chains. Typically, you already know if you like them or not and don't need yelp to tell you. That said, I've been consistently impressed by the staff and cleanliness at the store. We regularly go in, whether it's to pick up something quick or to just walk our dog around. The staff is incredibly helpful and always great at helping us find stuff. It doesn't feel like a "scary hardware" store that you wish to avoid. My one quip is calling on the phone. It's very hard to get through to someone. Tip: if you do go with your dog (and they're very dog friendly), make sure you get a treat at the self checkout. My pup loves it. read more

I want so much to like this store, I really do. It still feels brand new, it's always empty, and it's easier to get to than Home Depot. Unfortunately that's where everything positive seems to end. There have been times I've been in shopping and the number of employees seem to outnumber the customers, but still there will be an issue ringing something up or applying some code, etc. Today I was in picking up an online order (bypass the hassle, right?) Wrong. It took forever for my pickup, there seemed to be a lot of employees scratching their heads over what should be done. One of the garden guys came out and apologized that they were short-handed (again, it wasn't busy) and meanwhile there are like 5 people hanging out inside the customer pick up area. I gave one star out of five for this review only because zero stars was not an option. I had an appointment for a window quote on 9/12/23 with Leesburg, VA Lowe's . Jennifer came out gave me the price and explained that it would take about five weeks for the actual install. She sent me a proposal upon leaving my house and I had had couple of questions for her. I emailed her twice with those questions and received no response. I decided to go ahead and sign the contract anyways on 9/21/23. In early October, I went to the store to speak with her and get an update. Another employee found her in the store and she agreed to see me and speak with me. I waited for about ten minutes and left as she never showed up. On 10/25/23 went back to the store and the window department employees emailed her and texted her in front of me as she was not there on that day. I decided to go back to the store on 10/27/23 to follow up. Again, she was not there and the window department employees texted and emailed her again. This time, they also emailed her boss as well. I was not contacted by anyone. So, I went back to the store on 11/1/23. Was able to speak with Crystal, the assistant manager. She told me that she was taking over and after she finds out what is going on, she will call me that day or the next day. Again, didn't hear from her or anyone else. I went back to the store on 11/7/23. At that time, customer service rep. was able to get ahold of Jennifer and she called me while I was at the store. She didn't offer any explanations or said that she was sorry. She just stated that she was not aware I was looking for her. This is an obvious lie as other employees have tried to contact her number of time while I was present. She said she would look into this matter and call me back that day. Well, she never did. This is terrible customer service and business should not be run like this. I wasted two months of my time chasing my window order. This is unacceptable. read more

Check Out - OMG. no check out clerks, so I scan each item, as my husband bags - He jokes that maybe since we work here now, a paycheck will pop out. After scanning many, many items - The system states We have Unscanned items- WHAT?? We have to start over - basically accusing us of stealing - This is crazy!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would.....I do not recommend Lowes for appliances. I "ordered" a dishwasher about 3 weeks ago because they don't carry any at any of the stores. Then was told it arrived and the installer had 2-3 business days to schedule the install. Finally installation is scheduled today. They arrived today and took things apart for the install and discovered the dishwasher (the new one) is broken. They said they can order another one but it will be the same process. Two plus hours later still dealing with the aftermath--I've been on hold with Lowes for over 30 minutes to process the refund of the dishwasher. Make that a total of about 50 minutes- because the person who was "helping" me walked away and left me in hold. I purchased a new one from Sterling Appliance with installation in 7 days. I will not be going back to Lowes for anything. I may be filing a consumer complaint and BBB complaint and AG complaint. Still on hold..... read more

I ordered an item for same day pickup and hours later heard nothing from them. I called to check the status. The first time I furnished all the information I was asked and then was told "Thanks for calling Lowe's" and was disconnected. I tried three more times. Each time I was told the order was being processed but wasn't ready for pickup. This was a simple item and the webpage indicated they had six in the store. I asked to speak to an associate. Three times I was told they would connect me with an associate. The phone just continued to ring and eventually I was disconnected.
