Yesterday I went to Lowe's to shop for a washer and dryer for my home in California. I was greeted by Mr. Roy Kent Jr. and he was amazingly helpful in explaining the differences in the machines. He spent quite a bit of time educating me, even though he could not take the sale as it was going to CA. BTW: It was a purchase over $3000.00 but he gladly helped even though he wouldn't get credit for the sale! Mr. Kent put together everything I needed, with part numbers, etc. making it VERY easy to order them today. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr. Kent and he represent Lowe's in an amazing way! This is an update to my previous review on our Pella sunroom window/door fiasco. We paid Lowes again to replace the same sliding patio door with one going in the correct direction. They gave us a $600 credit towards that door for getting our $5000 order 100% wrong. We waited another couple months, paid our contractor to take out the wrong door which we have to sell ourselves to recoop the money and install the door that Lowes delivered. The contractor had difficulty with the door installation and told us (once it was installed) that it was definitely not the same quality door that we had paid for originally. Also, the door would not close enough to lock. I believe the handle screw holes where not placed correctly. Once again, back to Lowes. Had to prove to them that they sent us a low quality door to replace the high end one that we had paid for.... twice! Their response, we'll send something to make the handle lock. We certainly can't afford to buy another door. We definitely can't afford $1500 for the contractor to swap out another door. This is a nightmare. We asked for the cash difference between the original door and the low quality replacement that we received and also asked that they send their own installer to change the handle so we have a locking door. We'll never get the high quality door we ordered and paid for. It appears that Lowes is not willing pay us back the difference in what we paid for and what we now have installed. Could they have intentionally sent us a low quality door because of the $600 credit they applied for screwing up our entire window/door order? I'm starting to think so. I never got the promised night-before call/text, they confirmed measurements for both floor and full-height backsplash twice then didn't do the backsplash at all, and the measurer was extremely rude in my home. When I called, two different 'managers' clearly didn't want to be bothered, lied that I had to come into the store for a refund, refused to connect me to the right person, put me on hold and hung up on me twice. Since cancelling I've gotten multiple calls/emails/texts about the already cancelled project from different places. This store made it very clear they do not care about their customers, and I won't use Lowe's again. read more

A 72 year old neighbor of mine, a grandmother, bought a brand new Toro lawnmower in May 2025 at Lowes in Leominster, and used it a few times to mow her lawn between the purchase date and late june. Due to the drought, she didn't need to mow the lawn until September. When she tried to use the mower, on every occasion, it started and then stalled. EVERY time. I tried to help her by examining it without finding the problem, so we returned it to Lowes with the receipt, spoke to the Asst. manager about it, and he said there was nothing they would do, so he said to contact Lowes. Despite several calls and letters, there was NO SATISFACTORY RESPONSE from the company about their brand new, defective $450. No support from them, and no help at all from the seller (Lowes). My best advice to anyone looking for a lawnmower is to NOT BUY it from Lowes, and not to trust Toro products, because they have zero care for your problem with their product. Don't listen to their BS about quality, because this story tells the real deal about not only Toro, but Lowes as well. They are not here to help, only to take your money and deflect the blame when there is a problem. I'll be shocked to hear from either one, and will keep readers updated as to the outcome of this disrespectful treatment of consumers. read more

I bought a washer from the Leominster store. I knew it had some minor paint defects, but I didn't care because they said I could just throw it away and the price was good. However, when I went to install it, we saw that it had already been used and had a very serious defect. I tried to return it to the store four days later and only then was I told that I had to return it within 48 hours. We were met by Christine, the operations manager, who was extremely rude and didn't even want to listen to us. We called their general customer service department, and they said they would take the machine back. We were told to wait 24 hours for a call that never came. When we tried to call back two days later, they said there was nothing in their records about that purchase. In short, they hung up on me, as if we were nothing. They're only concerned with selling; customers can handle it themselves if they have any problems! read more

Terrible experience with Lowe's. I bought a new washing machine for delivery and installation. After it was installed, it leaked water all over my floor. No one working there available to help, walked around for about 5-10 minutes trying to find my item with no luck. Found someone that gave me mediocre directions. Still couldn't find it. Asked the person at the registers but he seemed to only have half a brain(if that) and looked it up just to tell me they don't have any. We made a decision to purchase hardwood flooring. The product did not match what we selected in the store. Several cartons were damaged. Upon returning to the store to receive a refund on our credit card for the damaged & unused cartons, we were informed we could not receive that. We could only receive a gift card. After the initial credit card transaction and leaving the store, one of the associates canceled it. The associate then re-entered another transaction separate from our credit card. This is fraudulent and deceitful. One of the manager's name is John, the assistant manager is Stephanie. Two registered letters were sent to the corporate office. They were returned unopened. Dozens of emails were sent. The attorney general's office and the BBB was contacted. Lowe's made one offer and then another gift card was suggested. I am a Vietnam veteran and senior citizen. The executive VP is a veteran. This is not the first time Lowe's has done this to a customer in this location. Don't allow this to happen to you, beware. read more

Worst customer service ever. Ordered some items online and after it wasn't confirmed a rep said it would take 3-4 days to be ready. After a week I tried to cancel my order online but due to some technical error it said I had to call. I called customer service and waited an hour on hold before I hung up. Another week later and they said my order was ready. I drove 30 min to Lowes and went to curbside pickup. I was the only car at curbside and made a call the store per instructions. After multiple calls and 15 min of waiting for someone to pick up I went inside. There was only one worker and a line at customer service. I asked two workers if they could help me and they said they didn't know what was going on and couldn't help me. One kid said he just got to work and couldn't do anything. He then began walking around aimlessly. Not only can I not pickup my order but I cant cancel it either. Thanks Lowes, I will never go shopping there again. Ps. I spent around $500 there at your store in the past month and was planning on buying more but id rather go back to Home Depot Update: 2 days after I tried picking up my order someone from customer service called and asked when I was going to get my items. Recently I just bought a whirpool tub at Lowes in Leominster MA. I was greeted and helped by Les. I needed the right tub with a skirt, the right dimensions, and hardware . I was impressed by his knowledge and understanding of what I needed for a tub . He asked me questions about what I wanted and took the time to return my phone calls. We were so pleased to have been able to work with Justin who took the time to help us pick the perfect grill! He was extremely knowledgeable on the mechanics and performance of not just grills but was able to field all other questions that customers stopped to ask. He is dedicated and truly a jack of a trades and an asset to Lowe's! The delivery staff were also very efficient and carefully wheeled the grill up by hand to the house. I went to return 2 sheets of panelling and was told store policy is ZERO returns after 6 months. Stupid policy in these days of Covid-19. HD at least would give you a store credit. I had stopped going to Lowes because nothing was ever where their locator system said it was and the Leominster store is a s___hole compared to Home Depot. Horrible service. I was in the area so I thought I would check on my order. After waiting 20 minutes to be acknowledged as the pick up desk, I was informed that my order has not even been started. Not a big problem it had only been 90 minutes. My problem lies with the attitude of the service desk. I was informed that it wasn't my fault that I can't read the email that said to wait, nor was it my fault that they had 21 other orders. Again I didn't care that it wasn't ready I just happen to be driving by... To save myself some time and it's not clogged up there pick up area thought I'd see if it was ready we're close. A gentleman that printed it out and half the way to go pick it, and then proceeded to talk to another Associates about my literacy was definitely uncalled for. It is quite evident that Lowes does not value their customers, and the associates think that for items is a large order. Had he taken a moment to listen to me, he would've known that he did not need to drop everything, rush off in a huff, and I would've return tomorrow to get the merchandise. I don't think it's right to ever make a customer feel like they're inconveniencing the employees, nor do I think it's right for the employees to make the customer feel humiliated. Epic fail Lowe's on a $1K order. Update:returned today to receive order. A shout out to Kurt! Super nice guy. Almost made up for the associates yesterday. My husband and I went to Lowes in Leominster two Sundays ago, and we ordered carpeting for 3 rooms in our house. Part of this process is to have their installer come and measure the rooms. They took our information and we paid a deposit. It has been 11 days and we have yet to hear from their installers!?!? I've called 3 times, even the managers don't seem to know what the heck is going on. They said if no one contacts me by today to call them back yet again. I am 1 minute away from losing my mind and canceling the entire order which was $2000 plus+++++. The reason for the two stars the girl that took a order was very nice. read more

Dont order and pickup anything here. The store and employees dont want you to. Always a bad customer service experience. Try walking up to a counter or getting in a line there and watch the employees who were standing there all suddenly walk away from you. They actually park a snow blower inside in front of the pickup counter when you go in, with no signage posted. So does that mean its closed? You then wait in a line for returns when you thought you were just picking something up quick and then the employees are short with you and rude. Fine, I get the message. I wont come back. Customer service was the last thing Lowes had going for them and they're blowing it. read more

The staff here are on average slightly more pleasant but slightly less knowledgeable than the ones at Home Depot, including on basics like where things are located in their store. So out of inertia it is easier for me to go to Home Depot since they were first to the area and I know where things are in that store. I used the install service one time and the person putting on the door was good but the cost was high. Returns are hassle free and without the long returns lines I have sometimes seen at HD. I would shop here more often if they lowered the price. The selection can be limited as well. For instance, they do not have hard wired combination smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and the selection of mouse bait is limited. read more

Part 1. Last week a called in to check stock on a bathtub. I was told it was in stock. When I got there, two associates looked for it. One guy went up on the lift to take down the tub surround and almost dropped it. They asked me to go get another flat cart because they didn't think the tub and surround would fit down the aisles. I walked to the opposite end of the store and found a cart outside. When I came back in, they had everything loaded. I looked at the tag on the tub and it didn't look right. They had the wrong tub! When I pointed it out to associate #2, he was kind of belligerent about the fact that "That was the only one they stocked." When the associate with whom I spoke on the phone finally came back from lunch it took him 2 minutes to find the right tub. Part 2. I went there earlier this evening to buy the pipe fittings that were on the list my plumber gave me. It took me over 30 minutes to find everything (one gentleman who knew nothing about plumbing at least pointed me in the right direction). When I finally had everything loaded I went to check out, guess what!! Only one register open with several customers waiting while one guy was having trouble with his card. The manager was trying to assemble something in the tool box area and I saw several red vests milling about and casting furtive glances at the restless mob waiting at the lone register. 5 minutes..10...15. I melted down and walked out. I realized I left my notebook on my cart, when I went back to get it, a woman approached me and said she was the manager. "So manage!" I said. "How can you see a group of customers standing in a line for 15 minutes not moving and not be concerned enough to do something about it? You can't open a register." I don't blame this women entirely. The ones who should be taken to task are the inept upper echelon of management who sacrifice customer service for profit and convenience (for them). Thank God for family owned companies! I will never darken a Lowe's door again! By the way, my wife and I came up with a new slogan "SLowe's -- let's WAIT together." read more

I went into the Leominster Lowe's at 8:52pm on a Tuesday night thinking they closed at 10pm. I found out they were closing at 9. I only needed one quick thing. In those 8 minutes four different sales associates helped me!!! All of them were so kind even though I was that annoying customer getting there right before they closed. I purchased a refrigerator from Lowe's of Leominster, July 7th, with delivery date of August 13th because they were out of stock. Was notified Aug 12th that delivery would be between 12:30 and 2:30 the next day. Never delivered. I called Lowe's spoke with Mike, a delivery supervisor. After checking the warehouse, my refrigerator was not located. He offered me a floor model instead. A floor model that had been plugged in and running for perhaps months. Had perhaps hundreds of people opening and closing the doors and draws. I told him I didn't pay for a 'used' refrigerator! He tried to assure me it was new. When I explained about wear and tare of floor models he agreed with me. He then said that they would be getting 3 refrigerators delivered in 2 weeks. I needed one now! He offered to deliver a 'loaner floor model ' the next day. I requested the 'loaner' status in writing. The two weeks have come and gone, no calls, no refrigerator! And the floor model 'loaner' leaks Took a ride to Lowe's today. Brought all my documentation.(good thing). Went to the customer service desk, asked to speak with the manager. She was very nice. I explained my refrigerator problem. She tried to look me up in her computer. Couldn't find any record of me I produced my receipt. She looked that up. No record of any pending delivery She found that there are 5 models of my refrigerator in the warehouse but none have my name on them She can, however add me for one to be delivered tomorrow Now we will see what happens read more

There were signs in a few places stating "select nursery items 50% off" I asked the cashier which plants were on sale and her response was "I don't know" and that was the end of the conversation. Not, I don't know but let me find someone who can help you. Just I don't know, there are people around. There weren't any people around to ask. If if wasn't so close I would travel the extra couple of miles to Home Depot. read more

Visited for a specific item that was reported in stock online. I had tried to call ahead to check but was put on hold and ended up hanging up after 15 minutes. Once inside I visited the service desk where I was told, rudely, that they didn't carry the item. After a sales associate was finally called, I was led directly to the item. If you were hoping to get any appliances from this location, I would consider going elsewhere. This is due to their poor customer service and communication with both the customer and co-workers. I had ordered a fridge expecting it to arrive within 3-5 buissness day. Although the fridge came on time the first time, the people who delivered it BROKE IT, then proceeded to ask if we still want the broken fridge. Then as we try to get it re-ordered they said it would be here in 3 days, then 6 days and then 1 MONTH. When speaking to the people who work there about the delivery, they seemed clueless on it. I am appalled at the workers reaction when we asked for the credit back he did not ask why or apologize he just said "sure"...not great customer service coming from someone who is in customer service herself. read more

Not some place you want to order from online. They specifically state that THEY will contact you to arrange a delivery time. At no time did they contact us to schedule a delivery, they instead had an automated third-party company phone at 9:30pm the night before the delivery and inform us of when it would be delivered, and to call this third party company back if a change needed to be made. After phoning this third-party company and requesting a more convenient time - one that we would have selected had we originally been given the opportunity to by Lowes as advertised, - we were later informed by the same system that while it would be delivered on the requested day, it would have been delivered at a time we were unavailable, forcing yet another call to the third-party delivery company to again reschedule. This has been one of the worst online shopping experiences we have ever encountered, and we likely will not order online from this company again. read more

We ordered a new fence through Lowes. The project began in May 2016 and was not completed until August 2016, thanks to wrong products/deliveries, no return phone calls, etc. Then the new fence began to fall down and the gate broke, and on March 2, 2017, I made my first phone call to Lowes re the broken gate. I called Lowes multiple times to find out what they were doing about the situation. I was told no one called me back because they didn't have the right phone number, I gave them the correct number. I was finally able to speak with Robert, in the Central Production Office, but it wasn't until I spoke with his supervisor on April 13, that I could get anyone out to look at the gate and fence. The installer finally came by on April 15, 2017, to look at the fence and gate on this day and said yep the gate needs to be replaced, but we already knew this. We were put in touch with Rolf - Project Specialist Exteriors at our local Lowes. He came out May 12, 2017, and looked around and told us he would order the new gate, and he would customize the gate to make it three to four inches longer, and he would expedite the process and insisted we had waited long enough and he would tell the manufacturer it needed to be shipped immediately and it would be a couple of weeks. I called Lowes two or three weeks later to ask when the gate was arriving and was told by Rolf they were "working it out" with the manufacturer about who was going to pay for it (It did not make me feel better knowing the manufacturer did not want to stand behind their gate). Rolf said he was going to order it. Two weeks later, my husband called and Rolf said it was ordered. Two weeks after that I called again, and was told he and the manufacturer were still going back and forth about payment and he was "going to throw some money at them (manufacturer), just to get it ordered. Long story short I spoke with another manager, April, who said the gate was ordered on June 30! That was eight weeks after Rolf came out to look at the gate, and four weeks after he told my husband it was already ordered. I called Lowes every week during the month of July trying to find out when the gate would arrive. It gate finally came in on July 21. I called to find out when it would be delivered and spoke with manager, April again, she told me the installer would call me, and he would make arrangements. The installer did call and make arrangements to have the gate delivered on August 4, 2014. I received a call from the delivery driver on August 4, and he tried delivering the gate to my previous address. The gate did not get to me until August 5, and it was not ordered to be three to four inches longer as we were told it would be. I called the central production office on Monday, August 7, 2017 and was told Randy, supervisor, would call me back in 15-20 min, today is Sunday, August 13, and I'm still waiting for Randy to return my call. My husband spoke with Rolf on Friday, August 11, on that day, Rolf told my husband he never said the gates would be ordered three to four inches longer, but said he told my husband "he would check". I don't believe that is what he said, however, let's give him the benefit of the doubt, it still does not explain why the gates were not ordered until eight weeks later or why he never called to tell either my husband or myself the gates would not be able to be customized. The entire project has been a complete nightmare.The gate did not last a year and it has been over five months since this catastrophe began. I have called the local Lowes store, the customer service, and central production office. Everyone I speak to agrees this should not be taking this long but no one wants to step up and take responsibility, and see this to the end. I have begged, pleaded, threatened to go to arbitration. So I've decided to post this to Facebook, Yelp, Angie's List, and Twitter. I'm sick and tired of this and I want it resolved. read more

The people who work here are friendly but it's hard for them to be very helpful when the store has nothing you need in stock. Recent example: end caps for gutters, only right end caps, no left end caps; stainless steel sheet metal screws, every size but the ones I needed; primed cedar clapboards, only one bundle of 16-footers; 1/2" MDO, the sign says it's on the rack but the rack is full of 3/4" pressure-treated plywood instead. I could go on and on but I think I'll just go to Home Depot instead. read more

Poor customer service. Always always made to feel like an inconvenience any time i need my sheets of wood cut, which don't forget- I am paying them to do for me. It makes me very uncomfortable. They need more staff clearly but for the time being you can find me at Home Depot while they continue to go downhill. The lumber department isn't the only department that vocalizes their frustrations to their customer. If you are planning to buy a major appliance, think twice about buying it at Lowes in Leominster. The customer service after the purchase is horrible! First, on the day of install, they did not have all the proper parts I ordered (a new dryer vent hose and power cord). Then, the install of the power cord was done improperly. This resulted in the dryer shutting off (which is good because the improper cord install caused an arch and burned the cord. I am lucky the house did not burn down! So you know, Lowes does not install their own appliances, but use a third party installer, who according to the Maytag representative who came out to fix the brand new dryer I purchased from Lowes, often installs the appliance incorrectly. This was the case with my dryer. As the power cord and install is not covered by Maytag, I had to go back to Lowes to get the install done right this second time. Once I contacted Lowes, they sent a Lowes representative, who did install the cord properly but in the process dented the top of the new dryer. He readily admitted the error and said he would take care of it by getting me a new top, but then never followed up on the issue. After I had not heard from Lowes for 2 days I called and the front desk guy remembered my issue and said he would get them right on it, but again, no follow up. So, I called and asked for the store manager, who called me back, then sent me to appliance department, then onto customer care, then back to appliance department, then to another store manager (over an hour on the phone being passed around). Eventually, the second store manager called me back and they agreed to replace the dryer top, but what a run-a-round! Seems that the management in the Leominster store do not take customer service serious and no one wanted to take responsibility. If I had not been persistent I suspect I never would have heard back from them. So, think twice about buying any major appliances from this store because after the sale is made, you are on your own! While I am sure the store is just fine, I beg you not to order online and have anything delivered to your home via "Lowes home delivery" which is an incompetent third party delivery service. I purchased a snowblower and paid $65 to have it delivered by truck to my home; delivery scheduled for 12-2pm on a Friday. At 1:56pm I get a call from the driver, the truck broke down, they will be back "sometime in the morning-you don't have to be there I'll leave it in the driveway". That is not OK with me, I prefer to be there to accept the expensive item, what time? The response is between 8 am-12 pm on Saturday. A few minutes later I get a call from the shipping company that the delivery will be Friday between 1-3 (it is now 2:30). I explain that this is not what the driver said-she will call me back in 30 minutes (never got a call back). Saturday by 12 pm I had no return call, no delivery, wasted my whole morning. Call the shipping company who tells me they have no delivery scheduled for me, they have to call the store....the person they need to speak to at the store is at lunch, they'll call me back in an hour. I call the driver that called me the day before,since he is the only person who seems to have a clue, and basically says too bad, there are other deliveries in front of you, you have to wait, but you don't need to be there. Since I'd like to be there, I ask what time-he says 2 pm. I finally call and speak to the store manager, who is apologetic and understanding, and cancel my order. I will never buy anything from Lowes again as long as I live-life is too short. read more
