I purchased a Blink security camera from this Lowes location, after installing and having trouble getting the camera to work I contacted the Blink company multiple times at which point I was told that the camera was defective and I should exchange it for a new one. I finally removed it and tried to exchange at Lowes. I was informed that there is a 30 day return policy and I was at the 44 day point. I had no Idea of this policy. After leaving, I called the 1800 number to inquire and point out that I was not returning the product, I was exchanging a defective item. I was informed that I could exchange it and they would place a note in pro account. After I drove back to the store I was informed that there was no note and they wouldn't be able to help. I am not happy with this Lowes store #1923 as they were not helpful and rather rude. I have noticed a decline in the customer service and helpfulness of employees there in the past year or so. I have always been a loyal Lowes customer, buying almost all my supplies there for my handyman business, but this interaction left a bad taste and I will be looking at HD and Menards more often going forward. read more

No one is working at this store. We asked 3 different people to help us in the flooring section. Each one said they called someone to come help. We stood there for 20 minutes waiting and didn't see a soul in site. The only people I saw were other customers wondering around looking for a worker to help. We've been going to Lowes in Elizabethtown for years and has spent tons of money there went there the other day to get some rocks and have someone pack them out in our And they gave us a hard time and said that it was closed for the season that is so not true. It's only July they just didn't wanna be bothered. The girl at the register was nothing but rude. She acted like we were an inconvenience. I asked to talk to the manager and then they finally got somebody out there to load the stones for us. I got there about 9:55. The door was turned off but unlicked. I opened the door and the young man sweeping in front of the service counter asked if Inopened the door. I said yes your still opened,right. He said they close earlier now because of the time change. I told him I understood but that isn't until.next week and it says 10 online. I asked him if they any fog machine liquid left. Thats all I needed. I have had issue getting the correct reel that fits my weed eater. I took the reel that didn't fit and my weed eater to the store. I want to exchange the reels that didn't fit for reels that that did fit. The store manager on duty at 7pm Sunday 6/14/26 refused. In the Battle of the Big Box Hardware Store, Lowe's has always come out on top for me, the orange one down the street a little lower on the list. I've come to rely on Lowe's for do-it-yourself quick fixes to larger projects. They almost always have the parts/pieces/equipment I need, and often the correct advice. Every major appliance purchase has come from Lowe's, and not only was it at a good price, but also came with great installation. We ended up at this location because we were looking for a Christmas decoration at one location but it was out of stock...but they had it at this location! While I generally bemoan retail outlets that display Christmas stuff too early in the season, I can't deny that this visit didn't actually kind of kick off my Christmas Spirit! I'd like to note and pass along that Lowe's has a great Military discount program. You have to sing up for it in advance and provide proof, but the discount is good for 10% off of just about everything as long as it's not discounted or marked down, including appliances. The orange box store down the road tops that discount off at anything priced over $500, and now has a yearly limit if $400/years. #NotCool The Military discount, while part of the reason I prefer to shop at Lowe's, isn't the only reason. They tend to be well staffed and the people, in our experience, have always been great. The drive to this Lowe's is probably double my drive to the orange box store down the road, but is very much worth it. read more

I was looking for a a plant and was told that usually arrive in the fall but was given alternative options. The garden center was heavily stocked and everything was there! I'm extremely upset and disappointed with Lowe's. About two weeks ago, I placed a large order of materials for a major project, and Lowe's scheduled delivery for tomorrow. I even hired a crew to start working as soon as the materials arrived. Just hours before delivery, they canceled the biggest part of my order, claiming it was "out of stock." After contacting customer service, they suddenly "found" the product back in stock but now wanted to charge me the full price--when I originally bought it on sale during their Labor Day promotion. That means the item was likely never out of stock; they just wanted me to pay more. This kind of shady business practice is exactly why customers go to the competition. I will never order from Lowe's again, and I'll make sure my family, friends, and anyone I can tell knows about this experience. read more

Lowe's is still my favorite big box hardware store, and not a lot has changed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. There are fewer people in the store, a higher percentage of contractors/professionals. There are plexiglass shields at the checkout counters, except the self checkout. It appears that the shelves are well stocked, and the quality of their goods is better than the competition. They are having some difficulty with their MyLowes card (military discounts). I checked out two different times today and each time I had to go to the service counter to get my purchase adjusted/discount applied. Parking is easy and there is a Walmart and Target nearby of you want to combine shopping trips - I can only do one store at a time. AND Lowe's is dog friendly! It's a great way to socialize your dog as long as you have positive control. read more

I just bought a house. It is kind of feeling like a money pit. I had a list of projects I wanted to do. Now...that list is, you know, a mile and a half long. Lowe's and Home Depot are going to become my second home (for big projects that my local hardware store won't have the goods and options for). Based on this last weekend, in which I visited both Lowe's and Home Depot, Lowe's is my favorite so far. For all the time we were in HD, no one approached me once to ask if I needed help (and I needed a little). In Lowe's, the older man working in the department I was interested in looking at, approached to ask if I needed assistance, and brought me to the right place I needed to be. Since this was primarily a fact-finding mission ahead of a purchasing visit, after I told him I was just looking...in a surprise move, he gave us our space and didn't breathe down our necks. THANK YOU for that. I *was* there with my boyfriend, but I feel like we were both being spoken to, not just him. Since I am the one who bought the house and will be the one responsible for its upkeep and repairs (until he joins me, and hell, even AFTER that) I appreciate that I am not talked down to or spoken to like a dang idiot just because I have lady-parts. I've been transferred and apologized to for HOURS!! I received my order. The package is damaged, dirty, taped together and I refuse to accept this. It's a weed eater but it looks like it's from some bargain basement scratch n dent sale . A Lowe's associate asked me if the item inside of the box is broken. I DON'T KNOW! I refuse to accept a damaged box with shoe marks on the outside of it that has been taped back together. I will not open a torn, taped together box. I've recorded each call; and recorded each time I've been transferred to the manager's phone line... just to have it ring sooooo long.... it went to busy. This is ridiculous! Considering the husband and I have been involved in a lengthy home renovation project for going on four years, Lowe's has seemed like a home away from home at times. And for the most part, we've received helpful service and decent prices. Now, I won't go as far as to say that I can figure out where everything I need is located. It still feels like I'm on a not-so-fun scavenger hunt at times, but I blame that more on my inexperience than bad store organization. For the most part, though, when we go to Lowe's to get something for our home - whether that's a tool, part, appliance, etc. -- we leave with that part. Some other things we appreciate about this Lowe's: * You can have blinds cut to your windows' measurements for free. * If you have a can of paint that doesn't already have tint in it, you can have the tint added for free. * You can find good deals on tools from time to time. * You can also have wood cut for a small fee. I wish at times that more staff were on the floors to help, but we can usually find someone sooner or later. And the staff we've worked with have been knowledgable and helpful. This store is also clean and well stocked. I'm happy I live only about 10 minutes away from this DIY lifesaver. read more

Getting in and out of this Lowe's is a nightmare and that may be for a number of reasons but it isn't easy to get to or from. I had stopped her to pick up some things for my best good friend April for the construction on her store. I couldn't find anyone to help me find the things I needed and was here for a lot longer than I wanted to be. On every trip, I have been able to locate what I have needed as their website give the specific row and bin locations of whatever store you are in, and well marked aisles. I have a love hate relationship with Lowe's! On a good day where I find what I need and/or get help in a timely manner I love Lowe's!!! On a bad day when I spend way too much time looking for something that the online site told me specifically where to look - and it was not there - or when I get an associate that talks in riddles and does not answer my question or when I stand in line for an excessively long amount of time I vow never to return! But I do! Lowe's has at least one of everything and their prices are usually fair. Lowe's also has really good sales on seasonal items. I think I love Lowe's more when I order online and have the package magically appear at my door. The Bashford Manor Lowe's does seem to have better sales and mark downs than some other locations. Waited at the paint counter for 25 mins while the only employee at the paint counter kept walking away to help other people who weren't waiting in line. He never acknowledged my daughter and I standing there all the times he came back and forth. Another gentleman walked up and asked where the employees were, I explained there is one working this counter and he keeps walking away to help random people. He offered to go get him and when he returned to the counter he turned and walked away again. I can't make this up. The managers solution was to make him make the paint since she didn't know how. So let's see, the solution is to make him do his job, which he should have been doing to start with? In the workforce I grew up in, you would have been sent home for the night if not for good. I don't come to Lowe's often. I've recently been refinishing furniture, and needed a few items. I already knew what items I wanted, and was able to find them on the website. The website tells what isle and area(bay?) the items should be in. Well- the website was mostly correct. The items were in the correct aisle, but not the correct area, so things were somewhat hard to find. Maybe it's a website error? Or maybe this particular Lowe's just has items set up differently? I'm not sure, but that was my only real issue. I also looked at the washer/dryer sets during my last visit . We're moving in a few weeks and will finally have a washer/dryer connection in our apartment. Their prices are very competitive! Lowe's is actually the place I plan to purchase my set- due to sales and overall price. The cashier was friendly, and the store was very well organized- so I do recommend this Lowe's if you're in the area. read more

Ok these folks were nice, even by Kentucky standards. No idea how to grow roses in Derby City although I have great success back home in Florida. The only live roses sold here were Red Knockout, which I had once grown in the Sunshine State years ago, but while black spot tolerant the small, short stemmed and non-fragrant blossoms left me cold. I want big, showy and strong scented roses that light up the entire room. Well the clerk turned me on to bare-root roses, which I had seen before but only in my Midwestern youth. She also told me what I needed to amend the soil (sandy clay with very little loan, at least in Highlands) so I dug some 18x24" holes, slipped in some peat, some potting mix, some fertilizer and then worked back in some of that local earth. Mixed it all in a slurry which is pretty much same as I do in Florida. So as time progresses I find out the KY State has not only blackspot fungus and thrips (which I thought were the bane of Florida growers but not here) but gets Japanese beetles (which I remember from my distant Midwestern youth) as well. I don't get Japanese beetles back home. Maybe the lizards eat them first? No lizards in KY I guess.... Anyway all the stuff I need to remedy these problems at Lowes as well. I think I got them whipped now. The Peace rose is absolutely thriving however Mr Lincoln has a black spot issue. The Mouse has a problem understanding spraying with Daconil every 7 days means every 7 days. Black spot doesn't sleep. I think she's getting it finally. People wonder why I have success with roses. They are not that hard to grow but you have to put them in a place where you will see them every single day. Things change fast with roses, and you have to stop problems quickly or it's too late. Well once again they are sprouting like mad. So far so good! read more

The Lowes that I normally go to did not have what I needed, but this Lowes store had it, so I went to this location for the 1st time. I went to get a very big and heavy item and was told that Steven would have it ready for me. As I entered the store there was my item already sitting on a big push cart with my name on it. All the employees were busy helping customers so I didn't get a chance to see/thank Steven. I took my item up to pay and told the cashier I was going to leave the item here for a minute since it was raining while I went out to pull my truck up to the door. When I pulled up a gentleman was wheeling out my item. He greeted himself and it was Steven!!!!!! Also, since it was raining Steven brought out plenty of plastic to wrap the item so it wouldn't get wet. Steven also helped me load the item up. We wished each other a very Merry Christmas and I was off......... On my way home I was thinking that if there were more of Stevens at all the Lowes stores, no one would ever want to shop any place else. Thank you Steven for being so kind !!!!! read more

We took my elderly mother to pick out a dryer. She paid extra for the old dryer to be taken away. When the non English speaking delivery people came, they left the old dryer in front of the new one and didn't hook up new one to vent. They rushed out the door before she could catch them to tell them to take out old dryer. They did not leave her any paperwork. After about an hour of trying to get in touch with someone, the delivery sup Tony got in touch with his guys and they said the reason they just left was because they disconnected the gas when they pulled out old dryer. So they left my mom in a house with gas leaking and didn't bother to tell her, or anyone else!! How awful! We are still trying to get someone to come get the old dryer. Shame on lowes and the delivery guys. What a dangerous situation they left her in. read more

I like this Lowe's location as it is close to home and has a large selection of gardening items and flowers which is what I usually go there to buy. I do feel like the the employees in the greenhouse are a bit grumpy and not helpful. Maybe they are just hot and need more water. :) Overall, Lowe's prices are fair but not the best. I usually look there and then go next door to Wal-Mart to compare and 8 out of 10 times, they are more expensive for the same or very similar items. If you are looking to buy home improvement items, Lowe's could be your new best friend though! read more

The reason why i am giving this Lowes a 2 star is because after purchasing a (wonderfully lowe (no pun intended) price) appliance and waiting to pick it up... i have found myself waiting around for almost an hour - both times. There were a lot of Lowes members walking around and no one asked me if I was being helped or helped to expedite my pick up process. I understand that not all Lowes employees were customer services, but the return/pick up line was getting really long and no one was there to help. By far, the worst Lowe's store in the state of Kentucky. I had a refrigerator delivered one week ago that has been malfunctioning since the moment it was plugged in by Lowes. The chime goes off every 30 seconds. For 7 days, the refrigerator has chimed and the light has remained on inside the refrigerator. Day one, I called the store and asked someone to come out and address the issue and the manager stated no one is available and not their problem and hung up on me. I have called the 1-800 Customer Care line every day and am told the store manager is the only one that can address the defective product. No phone calls from Lowe's. No resolution. No action plan. Another wasted trip to Lowe's in Bashford Manor's paint department. They always have a line and no one knows what they are doing in the department. I was actually told they were out of my exact color but she would try and add some extra white paint in the space in the bucket that was close to the color. No clue what she wasn't talking about so I said ok as long as the color was the same. She ran around talking to people who ever stopped her . In the meantime the line grew to 5 people . There were 2 Hispanic men who were waiting on her. She apologized and said I forgot what you wanted. Finally after 10 minutes she comes over to me and says , " Oh now computers won't let us modify the paint anymore. We recently purchased a house; and Lowe's Home Improvement has become like a second home to us as we have been painting, doing small renovations, and purchasing lots of household items, like a grill, doors, fence supplies, etc. The store itself is great. There have only been a couple of instances where I couldn't find a specific item I was looking for, but Lowe's staff were very helpful, checked their system, and even pulled items from stock inventory for me, so that I wouldn't have to make another trip to purchase them once they were out on the floor. The only issue we have had with Lowe's has been with our grill. B ordered a grill online, it was delivered in a timely manner, and once he tried to use it the igniter switch didn't work. He called the store, explained the situation, and they told him they would send out an entirely new grill. No problem. (We didn't actually want a new grill, just the grill we had repaired, but this is how Lowe's does it..) This is where the issues arose.. Lowe's won't give you a firm delivery time, which is semi-understandable; however, they called around 8:00a and said we were the second delivery on the truck for that day, and by 7:00p we had still heard nothing from them, even after two phone calls and voice messages from us to them throughout the day. So, we ended up missing the delivery the first day, because we had tickets and had explained this to Lowe's and couldn't wait around our house any later. The following day, after B *finally* gets in touch with someone at Lowe's, it's the same deal. They said we were the next delivery and approximately ten hours later or so we received our grill. The delivery guy was pretty unprofessional and almost broke the faulty grill as he was taking it out. So, finally, we have our new grill. Well.. not so great, because this grill has a broken faceplate. So, rather than deal with what we had been dealing with, we physically go to Lowe's to explain the situation. After about twenty minutes with customer service we're told they'll have to take our telephone number and call us about delivering another entirely new grill, because that's the way they handle it and they don't have anyone who works in deliveries in the stores anymore. This was two days ago and no one from Lowe's has contacted us. Basically, long story short, the store is great.. delivery and follow-up, not so much. read more

I highly suggest against going to Lowe's, but if you love horrible customer service, this is the Lowe's for you! I paid for a privacy fence to be put up on May 22nd. I was told that it would be installed within two weeks. Unfortunately, after MONTHS of being told the materials were on their way, I eventually had to back out. The few materials that did make it to my property (which includes a palate of busted bags of concrete that has been rained on, and solidified on my driveway) still sit in my driveway to this day. Travis, a corporate manager, has been telling me that he would get the store to send someone to pick up their mess, but this has not been done. I've contacted Bart, the store manager, about this but he too has not made this a priority. This past weekend I went to this Lowes for the first time. I thought I'd try somewhere different than local HD that never has anything in stock, but that is for another review. I found the employees cheerful and helpful, the store was well stocked and clean. This made my experience pleasant and they had the umbrella base I was looking for on the shelf. Their on line inventory stated they were in stock so I took a drive. Nothing is more annoying to check online for inventory only to find out that the item isn't in the store. Lowes is a little further for me, but I'd rather go here for a good shopping experience. read more

Obviously they have all things home improvement here. As someone who definitely bought a fixer upper as their first house I really appreciate the location and the great people who work here. This is an incredibly convenient spot to stop in during your errands, and the people working the floor will help you find what you need in no time.
