I bought an outdoor rug at Lowe's on Zebulon today. When I was checking out at self checkout I noticed it had some damage. It rang up at full price. I asked the clerk if I could get a price reduction. She had to ask a manager. He offered 10% off, I refused. He called another manager and I haggle with him to 20% off. I got it home and realized it was more damaged. Do better Lowe's and general manager, Jennifer Smith! So I wind up here after working on my shelf for some time with parts I got from the other Lowe's. Y'all know I was frustrated so what did I do? Yes, I took the whole damn shelf to the the store. I returned the other items and then I went to see Jeff who is such a sweet soul. I told him this is my last go at making this work. He looked at different brackets measuring trying to get it right. He asked me questions whether I cared about screw color, etc. He then told me these will work. He then told me to take the bar that I did have on the plate off and use 2 out of the pack and it will lay even and use my tightening screws from the shelf package. I got home and things were going well until I got to the screws. I was screwing til I made a hole in the other end. Nothing a black coverup dot or black marker won't fix...or simply laying something over it. I was like well I need shorter screws. I searched in my tool bag and didn't think I would have any luck. I think I saw 3 short ones. I didn't even care to get the 2 that matched. But they worked. I also had to find screws to hold the shelf to the plate that were long enough as the other ones I had would not work. I tell you. If I had some big enough washers. I would have used those too. But it's complete and I am satisfied. I say that to say this. Thank you so much Jeff for your excellent customer service and helping me finalize this project. People learn how to treat your customers with respect and leave the attitude at home. If you do not want your job please stay at the house or apartment. Warning do not buy appliances from Lowe's Zebulon I wish I could have spent Thanksgiving cooking in my own home with family and friends. I ordered a stove, refrigerator and microwave on October 8. They were supposed to be delivered on October 22. Received an email of new delivery date of October 30, then Nov 4, and every week through Thanksgiving. Last Wednesday I was told that the appliances were definitely at the DC and would be at the store yesterday. Well guess what, yesterday I got an email of 12/8. There's a real possibility I won't have appliances for Christmas. I begged someone to dig deeper to figure out why after so much time still no appliances. I was told Samsung is to blame for sending the appliances to Texas DC instead of GA DC. All this time I've been asking for help and they're just now realizing our stuff is in Texas? I can't honestly say this would never have happened if I had gone to the other big box retailer or a mom and pop. Trying to find a number to corporate is like trying to find the lost sock from the laundry. Maybe if I post this everywhere someone from corporate will see it and help me get my appliances. read more

I hired Lowes to do a remodel of my kitchen which was a mistake. I paid 26,000.00 for the job and they sent out someone to measure and take pictures. It was horrible. First the designer made an error with design I have crown molding but he didn't take into account what he was doing and now the molding will need to come down because what he put up is three times the size, then he didn't get all the pieces requiring several install issues, finally after 4 full months when the Electrician came to install the stove they stated he has the wrong cabinet or the wrong stove. They wanted to modify the cabinet, I agreed to a price because I was so frustrated, can't cook or use the sink until I heard them arguing that it won't work and asked them to leave. I called Lowe's and emailed Mary Bloom because ultimately this is their mess and they need to fix it! She has not returned my call. read more

Scheduled a curbside pick up order. Added my husband's name to the order and sent him the confirmation email with the order info and barcode. My husband goes to pick up the item and is basically accused of trying to pick up the item fraudulently and is made to show ID. The email clearly states that a customer needs the email with order number/bar code *OR* an ID. I was on a work call when I see that I am getting bombarded with phone calls from the Lowe's store. Someone named Sheila is leaving me voicemail after voicemail (she left me 3 in total) asking about a "random man" trying to pick my order up. I call the store back and say he is my husband and has the email and bar code/order number and I'm unsure why this is escalating into some massive problem. I'm offered zero apology or understanding and am instead put on hold for over 5 minutes after being told that ID is required for every store purchase. Oh really? I have literally been at the store multiple times in the past to pick up curbside items, and guess what? I showed my email and barcode and voila! No issue whatsoever! This kind of ridiculousness has lost me as a customer at this location. Let's use some common sense when dealing with customers instead of jumping to accusations, blowing someone's phone up for no reason, and trying to tell me that my email information for pick up is wrong when the email itself comes from Lowe's. I'll be shopping at Home Depot so that the FBI isn't involved in my next $40 curbside pickup order. Geez. read more

Went to the store to purchase a GE dishwasher that was on sale. There was only one person in the whole store that could help us with the order. This was a sale item,however it wasn't in stock,so she had to or it. Took a week to arrive. The installer came and put it in and didn't test it before he left. When I used it the first time it was leaking from the front of the door. Called lowes and the person at customer service just wanted to order a hose which was obviously not the problem. Wouldn't just send someone out to troubleshoot. Said it would be a week or so. Meantime we have no dishwasher which we use every other day. She said I don't hardly ever use mine. I purchased a GE washer on 8/31 and was told it would be delivered on 9/14 (yesterday) contacted this morning they informed me delivery wouldn't be until Monday or Tuesday. This is unacceptable. For every knowledgeable employee who actually takes the time to try to help you figure out what you need for what you're doing there's THREE comlete idiots. My compliments to lowes for trying to give employment to those who made Cs, Ds and Fs in school but that doesn't cut it on the retail market floor. Rule 1. Leave your attitude at the door. Rule 2. Don't try to snowball the customer. I have a simple job around the house, asked the lowes employee (maybe he was a homeless person who was just wearing a lowes outfit?) what's the difference between product A and product B? Which do I need for what I'm wanting to do? The mental giant gave me a wealth of information: Google it! Next time I'm not going to have a look of puzzlement on my face. Put your attitude on. I'm putting my attitude on in the store. Why is that Einstein wasting space there if the customer has to do HIS job? If I have to research what the product, what it does and what the other product does, AND then research which is best for the application I'm wanting it for (and it was suggested by a lowes employee that I do this on my computer) I'm not making a second trip across town for a second dose of that idiot's attitude, ask him where the product is that he can't find because it says it's in one location but they don't see it, buy it and then get home for it to be too late to use it. I'm going to buy it on Amazon. Need help at the Eisenhower location, go to one of those signs that says press button. Last time I was there the sign was still there but the button had been ripped off the wall. This is the why they call it lowes because your expectation of service is very low. Had a simple job of replacing the dryer hose. For some reason they keep part of it in the kitchen area. The "kitchen designer" pointed me to a product. Bought it and didn't even get it attached to the dryer before it had holes in it. It is a fire waiting to happen. I think I'm going to take that off and take it back. It's literally steel wire and tinfoil. If the customer is going to do all the lowes employee's job, cut out the middleman, if you're going to spend all day on your computer trying to figure out what product you need because the lowes employee was a total $#@%^&, buy it online and save gas! I'm looking around the house and find everything I've boughten from lowes for the various projects i'm doing and taking it back. I'm trading with lowes anymore. If I want to listen to nagging, nagging, nagging, I'll call up my sister and listen to her. 1. Many of the employees don't know what they're talking about. 2. most are not going to be bothered if you're wanting something that's a ten-dollar sale. 3. They have no idea where their stock and inventory is. 4. They've jacked up the prices on all the little items that was around 25 cents and marked them up to like 59 cents to pinch every last penny out of the customer. 5. You almost have to wait until a truck unloads a batch of lumber and pick threw it to get something decent that isn't just culls. 6. When it's close to time for employees to get off work, they put on their invisibility cloaks. 7. Most aren't trained on the products that the store sells...IF THEY CAN EVEN FIND THE PRODUCT. Who in the world thought up the placement plan for these stores? "Let's put all the lowes on the far west side of town. Don't they know that people live in the county on the east, in East Macon, downtown, north, etc.? Ace is closer to me. They have the attitude. I'd rather pay a little more or go to HD than have to listen to a pretend employee after I ask him a legitimate question to tell me to "google it." As one older lady would say "fool, that's what I came in here for." Oh, I'm going to go back. And if i get that lip again, call customer service FROM the store and see if the manager would like to talk to corporate. read more

Our experience with Lowes delivery has been an absolute nightmare and it hasn't been resolved yet. We had a stove delivered. It didn't work. They refused to replace the non-working new stove with the old stove that was working. Then, they were supposed to re-deliver a new stove today. The stated delivery time passed, so we called customer service. They claimed that they were unable to deliver it even though we were home literally all day. There was no attempt to contact us. We called them. The customer service was absolutely useless, claiming that since they were in a different location, they couldn't do anything about it. We have now been unable to make food for three days and there's no way for us to know about when we will even get it. read more

I went to the store looking for a specific canister vacuum that they did not have in stock. One of the employees placed a special order for home delivery on Thursday. He was very good and the process was easy. Thursday passed with no delivery so I called and even though the representative was exceptional he couldn't give me much detail due to the late hour, but he put in a note for someone to call me the next day. By noon the next day with no call, I called them back and had to wait on hold for 30 minutes to speak with someone and then wait for maybe 10 more minutes only to find out that the order was cancelled by their vendor. I had to travel back to the store to cancel the order and receive a refund. All the store could tell me is that the order was cancelled because of "missing" information. Since they already wasted enough of my time, I didn't feel like staying longer to probe further. Even with 2 employees that had great customer service skills, this was a miserable experience. Someone should have called me to let me know the order was cancelled or better yet fix the issue to start with. A couple of more points Their phone system is very bad. It doesn't recognize the numbers pressed when it prompts you to do so. It happened both times I called. Also they seem very disjointed; the agents have to dial into the individual store locations to look up the order. read more

I just want to give Ree over at Lowe's on Zebulon Rd a shout out for her going above and beyond to help me and my mom when the keys got locked in the truck after we picked up some things. She was truly a life saver even in the heat none of the guys over here knew how or what to do or maybe they didn't want to help but she did. She got tools and cardboard and finally bam the doors were unlocked and we were all set to go. The best thing was when she was done she gave me a hug and I said "thanx soooo much" and she just walked away and headed back to work I'm in this store often and when I see her she's always happy and smiling. I ordered a refrigerator from this store on the 21st scheduling delivery for Tuesday the 27th. Well today is the 27th and no refrigerator, now its tomorrow. I scheduled today because I would be out of town for the next few days and was looking forward to having a refrigerator in my new home. I will never do business with Lowes again! Been a loyal customer (person/business). I have also have the Lowes card i use with every purchase. Hot water heater busted and found the one i wanted. My local store has it listed for 699$. A store hr away has it for 587$. Get this, Lowes will not price match another Lowes store but will price match a competitor. Lol very laughable and ignorant. Response was due to taxes. Lol another laughable comment. My city taxes is not any where close to being cheaper than this metropolitan city Lowes. Absolutely garbage. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. The cashier overcharged me for my plants and when I asked her about it to get a refund she started interrupting me to be rude. Not helpful or responsive in any way that could be effective or even polite at the very least. She blamed me for her mistake as if I was the one being negligent. When she begrudgingly walked me over to the customer service desk she continued her attitude and passed me off to an even more annoying associate who spent 20 minutes rolling her eyes and sucking her teeth at me for asking legitimate questions. I wasn't even issued an actual refund and when I asked for other options it only got worse. If the employees spent less time having a bratty fit and put that energy into thinking critically the whole thing would go along smoother. read more

This was my second bad experience with this store. The first came about 3 weeks ago - the register was either down or there was a new employee trying to learn the system - whatever the issue was - that particular line of waiting customers was halfway down the aisle - with no relief in sight. The second bad experience came today. As I search aisles 42-44 for a soap dispenser for a kitchen sink - there was no associate willing to stop and ask me if I needed any assistance. Of all of the associates walking around, no one stopped to offer assistance. I stopped one associate who happened to be walking by if anyone was working the plumbing department, she replied that the person who works that area left at 5:00. I asked could she help and she said if it had to do with plumbing she could not help. I then asked for the store manager, but was told that he/she was not there. She volunteered to call someone to assist me. I heard her page Ronnie, but he never showed up. After wandering around aisles 42 - 44 for another 10 minutes or so waiting or Ronnie, a very nice associate by the name of Rob came by and I asked him for assistance. He said that he knew what I was talking about, but was not sure where it was or if the store had it, but he offered to help me look. As our search of the aisles yielded no response, he looked in the computer and advised that the store did not have it. I thanked him for his assistance and his kindness. I searched through hardware and found the dispenser on aisle 15. The point of this review is to TRAIN your employees to ask every customer if they need help - whether they can help the customer or not. To look the other way as if the customer is invisible is UNACCEPTABLE! It's the customers that keep your doors open - you would do well to remember that! read more

Like the comment above - no one is ever at any counter. Waited at hardware counter 25 minutes +, no one ever came. I eventually went to the front of the store and asked to speak to a manager. They paged the manager.....but no one ever came. I eventually gave up and left the store. Think I will go across town to Home Depot from now on. read more

Just had the worst experience here. We were looking for carpet, it took 2 phone calls just to get someone over to the carpet department. Then, he left. When we finally decided on the carpet, he was no where to be found. As we were leaving the department, he happened to walk by & asked if we found something, when we told him 'yes', he stated that the carpet that we picked was discontinued! Why have it on display if it's discontinued? Home Depot is looking better & much better customer service! read more

This is the 3rd time I've contacted Lowe's corporate regarding the Lowe's in Macon, Zebulon Road. We custom ordered two sets of double doors and both sets are defective. I have photographs. "Steve" came out and caulked one set of doors because the glass was bowed out. Guess what - that did nothing to fix the doors. The glass is still bowed and now that the weather has changed, the caulk has cracked. These doors need to be replaced. I'd like to speak with someone who can do something, not Steve, who accuses me of cursing when I say "FREAKING." I've missed two days of work and guess who has to clean up after the Lowe's workmen? Caulking the doors because the glass is bowed out does NOT REPAIR them! The second set of doors - downstairs - would not open. This is a safety hazard, as the doors are the only way to egress in the event of a fire. According to "Steve" they sent the wrong part. Then they needed a new frame. The install guy says no, they don't. There they both came, and supposedly they are going to do something downstairs. The guy screamed at me because I said the upstairs doors are not right, after he supposedly repaired them. I want these doors replaced. I've been dealing with this since the first installation on August 10. It is just too much. read more
