So I went looking for help and watched no fewer than a dozen employees walking around, chatting, and otherwise remaining completely indifferent no matter how many times the pager called them. Don't fall for the protection plan SCAM. I had a refrigerator failure on 7/23/25 as of 8/14/2025 the repairs are ongoing, and I am still without a working refrigerator. Good news I lost 10 pounds without a working refrigerator. Bad news I'm over 70 years old and still do not have a fridge and have been keeping water and bits of food in an ice cooler for over 3 weeks at $5 a day for ice. The repair was initially scheduled for 7/28 but they cancelled the service call and rescheduled for 8/11.They replaced a compressor in the fridge but after the repair the fridge never got cold enough. We informed the service company the repair did not restore the fridge to working order on 8/12 and on 8/14 I still have no scheduled repair or resolution.(All I got was a we'll get back to you???) SO THAT BEING SAID ...DO NOT FALL FOR THE PROTECTION PLAN SCAM. At this point I will have no other alternative but to bring a civil suit against Lowes which is a lot to go through just to get something that is in their plan that was offered and paid for. Lowes goes out of their way to help you with your purchase however after the sale not so much. While I am not part of the class action suit brought against Lowes for deceptive marketing in relation to their PROTECTION PLANS I am affected exactly as described in thousands of complaints as follows: issues with claim processing, numerous calls to customer service difficulty getting repairs approved, and perceived delays or obstacles in the process. read more

The largest of the area Lowe's stores, the mechanicsburg location should have everything you need, including long lines at the checkout and garden center. My last trip for mulch was a real circus. My fault of course for going on such a beautiful spring day when everyone else is out getting their 5 bags for $10. The line was insane. What was even more ridiculous was having to go inside to wait in line, pay, and then come back out and get in line with your car. Very inefficient and time consuming. Minus 1 star. This place always seems to have everything you need, except enough cash registers open to deal with the high volume of customers who visit regularly. They do have online ordering and convenient pick-up, but that's not always a good option when shopping for many items. This place is a lame excuse for a store. The store its self is ok ,but the workers are rude and arrogant. I have been here at least 3 times before and all I can say is the employees did not improve at ALL. I went with my father once and he speaks good English, but it's not the best. He asked this old man to help him look for something. The worker looked annoyed that my father even asked him for help and no matter how clearly my dad asked for something this old man would look disgusted. I can not say that my other experiences have been NO better. Lowe's has the worst customer service imaginable. The store got our range almost a month before the anticipated delivery date and immediately pressured us to get it out of there. We were not ready for it, but we stupidly picked it up. We should have told them they can keep it and gotten our money back, because we weren't ready to install it. Now it's in and it's awful... but they won't budge on their return policy because we are "outside the 48 hour return window". Yeah, pretty smart. Make someone pick it up even though they aren't ready for it and then refuse to make an exception to the return policy. Never, never again. Had purchased blinds last year from this location of Lowe's. I was assisted by Ana for selection of blinds. I can't speak enough good thing about her. She is knowledgeable, has years of experience with Lowe's/blinds, is patient and has a very helpful personality. She helped with the entire cycle of this purchase - from selection, to placing the order and to coordinating with the installer. When one of the blinds ordered was incorrect (due to my fault), she gracefully placed order for another blind and coordinated the installation of that. Lowe's sent me a gift card after I bought the blinds. Have visited the store couple of times since then and found the store to be well stocked, quick checkout and helpful employees. read more

I live 90 min away from this store but they had what I needed in stock, so this past Saturday we made the trip to pick it up. I ordered curbside and when I got to the store, I called and let them know I had arrived and what spot I was in. When the sales associate brought it to the car she was the nastiest rudest person I've ever encountered. Why? Because she had to do her job , that's why. She loaded my items in the trunk( I only ordered two things), screamed 'your welcome' and slammed my trunk shut. Corporate has definitely heard from me . Don't like your job? Has been an absolute nightmare and the driver who was supposed to be delivering the new fridge was one of the rudest men I've ever met. He was extremely unprofessional and unkind, and upon leaving after not delivering the appliance left the doors to my home wide open without letting anyone know they were leaving. I only knew they eventually left by calling him back and having another rude conversation with him over the phone. Now I'm on the phone trying to reschedule the delivery for a third time with someone who will properly follow the instructions to get the fridge inside! The manager named Tracy was not willing to go the extra mile to help me. She was in a hurry and wanted to refer me elsewhere... Then she began helping me with the unusual situation. We made progress and then she transferred me to Melissa her supervisor. I had to repeat the whole situation all over again. Apparently Lowe:s contract a different party who are responsible for deliveries..... Finally we actually got somewhere and Melissa took the time to follow the whole way through to make sure the delivery was set for a date I could agree on. The employees at this store are some of the rudest most unpleasant people I've ever encountered. I spend quite a bit of money in this store and my last trip was no exception but from here on out I will be taking my business to the other store right down the road with an orange sign. My last trip here I was purchasing a Husqvarna Riding Mower but beforehand I had some questions, when I was able to finally get an associate he acted as if he literally not had 1 minute to spare, Andy was his name. I inquired about their limited stock of riding mowers and he told me that they have what they have, ok so I asked if I could order a particular model and he said I could but Lowe's would cancel the order about a week into the process, really?? After hearing this I told him I needed to think about purchasing one of their limited stock mowers but they were quite a bit more expensive than I had planned on spending so I would need a minute or two. He walked away, fine I get it I'm not the only one in the store. After deciding on another model ($2500) I found a different associate and completed my transaction. While riding the mower to my trailer I noticed a terrible shake of the right rear wheel that I just wasn't comfortable with, I proceeded to initiate an exchange of the just purchased rider when Andy the original associate came back to the area where I was test riding a different rider. After I finished my test ride of the different rider I was now dealing with a supervisor, Andy proceeded to interject and say "there was nothing wrong with the first rider, it's brand new" at that point I lost my cool looked at the supervisor and gave him some insight as to Andy's attitude and opinion of the original rider. Andy quickly scurried off as if he could tell it was about to get real for him in a hurry. The supervisor apologized for Andy and explained to me that he probably deals with stress in a less than positive way, more so than any of the other employees and he's been overwhelmed at work. Tip, keep Andy in the back making sure the riders are assembled correctly, namely the wheels if they do in fact assemble them. Done with Lowe's and their treatment of this customer. read more

Love this Lowes. Everything is laid out in an intuitive way, and both the staff and the products are superior to the nearby Home Depot. Especially recommend for lighting fixtures and paint - ask for Bill for paint. Experienced painter who gave me great tips and a deep discount on my final order. When I lived in Virginia I shopped at Home Depot, but at least here in central Pennsylvania I find the staff, organization, and products at Lowe's to be far superior. read more

If I had to shop at one home improvement store for the rest of my life, it would be this Lowes. I have yet to find more helpful employees in other area home improvement stores and this place has almost everything I need for my house. In my experience, I haven't had to wait more than a few minutes to get help when I've needed it and the employees are really nice about answering even the silliest questions about home stuff that you have, which is nice when you're first-time homeowners like my husband and I are and neither of you have experience with the majority of the tools/accessories you need. read more

I ordered a new front door and storm door from this Lowes. Literally, every single step of the process was mishandled. I can't even comprehend that a store can screw up so many times in a row and not handle one thing correctly. They never called to tell me the door arrived. Then when I called them, after a month, they spend 2 weeks trying to get the installation company to call me back. After another month of not hearing from Lowes or the guy who came out to measure, I walked in and told them I wanted to pick up the doors and have someone else install them. Well, I took home all the items I had purchased and had a nice guy come do the installation only to find out they had given me the WRONG DOORS! They were hinged on the opposite side of my frame. So, I went in AGAIN and told them they needed to come and pick them up from my garage. They came on the scheduled day and got them and now, 10 days later I still have not gotten credit for what they picked up. I called the store and the manager didn't have any record that the items were returned. He had to research it and call me back. I'm totally blown away by this poorly managed store. I am a big proponent of shopping local and supporting small business. When you shop small business the owners and employees have a vested interest in giving quality service because it is their livelihood. It's evident at Lowes that their culture and staff feel zero ownership to handle a problem, nor do they give a crap what kind of service they give. They are like zombies walking in to collect a paycheck and go home. I will never purchase a major product at a big box store again. read more

However when the installer failed to complete her backsplash installation correctly, they now refuse to do anything to correct it even though it is a very easy fix. This place is an absolute joke! I have ordered from them twice and both times have been utterly repulsed by the lack of customer care and knowledge these people had. I ordered a washer and dryer from them on Black Friday and had today (12/04/19) as the delivering date. I received a call this morning stating that the window of delivery would be between 12-2. I get to my house around 12:20-12:30 and there is a note on the door that I would need to reschedule my delivery because I wasn't there. I get ahold of Lowe's and no one in that delivery department has a damn clue what they are doing. 2 times I was put on hold and 2 times I was hung up on from being on hold so long. I call back a third time and get someone new who puts me on hold. She finally gets back to me and says that she can't reschedule a delivery until the products are back at the store. (Not sure why they wouldn't just drop them off instead of taking them back to the store to be delivered again another day). My husband ends up calling the store after me because he is also upset about the whole situation and after getting the run around from the delivery department again, they tell him the delivery window was between 1-3 not 12-2. So now I wait until 3 hoping that someone will show up. Nothing. I proceeded to call Lowe's back up to speak with customer service because their delivery department are a bunch of unknowledgeable, unhelpful, poor excuse for customer service representatives. I get a girl who checks for me and tells me that the delivery people had been by my house twice and no one was home. Keep in mind, the first time they were at my house was an hour before my delivery window and they had called my cell phone but never left a message. So I was never aware that they were even here until I got home around 12:20-12:30 and saw the paper on my door to reschedule. And now I'm stuck waiting for them to get my washer and dryer back to the store so that they can rescan it to be delivered tomorrow. This store and it's employees are an absolute joke. We had laminate which we purchased from Lowe's laid in our living room and hallway. The customer service from the Lowe's employees, from beginning to end, was bumbling and appalling. I'll spare you the dirty details, but suffice it to say, the floors were laid (after a bunch of ridiculousness on the part of this store, especially the salesmen in flooring) on August 3rd, 2015, and today, December 29, 2015 we finally gave up trying to get them to fix the mess they made, after they sent the subcontractor to our house for the 3rd time with the wrong replacement transitions. From the day they made us sign a blank contract (which they told us we had to do in order to get the flooring ordered), to the "estimator" they sent to our house who neglected to include the transition pieces in the estimate (thus causing the transitions to not be ordered, which caused us to have to go to Lowe's the day of the install, buy ones that didn't match because they told us it would take "weeks" to order the correct ones, and have them installed so that the track would be in place to replace with the correct transitions), to the 2hrs I spent in the store the next day trying to get the correct parts ordered (the flooring salesman, to "get even" with the salesman who sold us the flooring, ordered the replacements under the other salesman's name, instead of under OUR name, which made it impossible to find or track the order again until it was finally figured out what he had done), to the months that passed while we waited for the pieces to come, until today when the subcontractor (bless his hard-working heart!) showed up for the SECOND time with a set of replacement transitions which did not match our flooring. We called the store AGAIN, and as usual they refused to accept responsibility for their repeated, egregious errors, told us it was the correct product even though it was a completely different BRAND from our flooring, and didn't match our color AT ALL, and also as usual, they had no answers or solutions. To save ourselves anymore frustration and in order to NEVER have to deal with Lowe's EVER again, we told them not to bother ordering anything else, and we'll just deal with it. Considering the thousands of dollars we spent on this project, it is a DISGRACE the way the floors turned out; and the unprofessional conduct of the staff of this store and their lack of accountability demonstrates how little they care about the work they do. We would definitely NOT recommend this store to anyone. The subcontractor who actually installed the floors did a great job and was very professional and went above and beyond trying to get this straightened out for us. I think it was Arko Flooring in Harrisburg. I suggest you go straight to them if you want flooring done. read more

I am convinced this store has racist undertones or just horrible employees. Every single time Ive gone there, nobody wants to help, everyone has an attitude. Ive been blatantly ignored when waiting for assistance, only to have a non minority customer stand right next to me and immediately be acknowledged and asked if they need assistance. One particular time a customer even addressed the employee and said "he's been standing here waiting. He's before me". The employee responded with annoyance and looked at me and said " hi can I help you". This was in the paint section. Another time I attempted to buy the floor model of Gazebo, since they were out of stock. I was told, they do not sale the floor models. I know this is not true. A week later, they sold the floor model to someone else who inquired. And he was non minority. How do I know this? Because I went back there a week to get plants, and saw them packing it up. Naturally I paid attention to whom it was being sold to. Ive seen them be extremely pleasent and helpful to non minorities. The last straw was when I scheduled a consult for floor renovations. They sent a guy out from Ultimate Home Services to measure my floor. After three days I hadn't heard anything. I called Ultimate Home Service, however they never answered the phone. I called about four times. When I called Lowes Flooring today 8/6/2021, to inquire, an extremely rude employee picked up the phone, only to tell me that the consultant from Ultimate Home Service notated in the system that my floor was "flagged" . When I asked why, the Home Depot employee told me he did not have time to get into that because he was busy. All he could tell me was that they would not install my floors. Understand that my current floors are in perfect condition. the floor is flat, there are no issues. I just decided I wanted wood floors instead of the ceramic tile thats currently there. I have done curbside pick up two times from here during the pandemic. Both times it has been a complete joke. Today was the worst I ordered a toilet. I called from my vehicle with my two-year-old son who has cerebral palsy in the backseat seven times. Five of those times Jay at the customer service desk picked up the phone never said hello but continue to argue with a lady who was in front of him apparently and then hang up on me. The other two times no one ever answered and it put me right back to the menu. I had to get my son out of the car to go into the customer service desk just like the last time I went for curbside pick up to find there was 12 people in line that wrapped all the way around. After waiting 20 minutes in line the lady at customer service said I'll get that item right out for you I looked at her and said I'm in spot number six do you think I'm going to carry my child and a toilet LOL. On the other hand during this time I have ordered from the Home Depot in the lot right next to the store at least 10 times and every single time they have picked up the phone within 2 to 3 rings and brought my stuff right to my vehicle within five minutes! I would never order from this Lowe's or ever shop there the only time I have is when the item I need Home Depot doesn't have and then I really want to cry that's how bad their customer service is. One of the ladies taking in cards works there said to me while we are busy as if no one else is at this time. Sounds like you have a management problem not an amount of work problem! read more

Their online ordering system is the worst I have ever dealt with. I tried to order a fire pit and accessories for my daughters birthday. After putting in all the information including credit card information I get a message that something went wrong and the order didn't go through. This morning I got an email that the order was in process. I ordered some firewood and two aridionick chairs. I did not want to pay $65 to ship the chairs (pricey in my opinion). I got an email saying the chairs and firewood were ready for pick up. The email also said only the card holder could pick up the goods. I called and spoke to Alicia and explained to her that wouldn't work because I live in PA and my daughter lives in NJ. She said it wouldn't be a problem and I gave her my daughters info and she said she updated the system. My daughter was concerned that the chairs would not fit in her car. She called and was told by someone they fit two of the chairs in their Prius. Off to the store she goes and they tell her my card was declined. I called the bank to inquire about it and they said there is nothing wrong with my card and they don't see any declines. I call corporate and ask them to explain what happened and was told I can't look into it cause the order was cancelled. That is not customer service. Are you kidding me. I'm still waiting for the email confirming the cancellation. read more
