It's the beginning of the end for Cordova Lowe's. Stopped by there last Friday to pick up some items really quick before I headed home and was stunned at what I witnessed. They have installed top to bottom locked cages on dang near the entire tool area. My Jaw dropped while my mind searched for the logic. This location has already convinced me it has the worst customer service. Now if I need an item that is incarcerated, I have to find someone to call someone who will probably be on break or covering another area. I can't even impulse shop while I'm waiting on someone to show up. All the tools have been thrown in the slammer Genius! Drastically reduce theft and sales simultaneously. My gut tells me 2 years or so and this Lowe's will be a vacant building. I had grabbed an item out of gardening before I headed to the tool area. Once I witnessed the maximum security measures required to obtain a drill bit, I hung my head, strolled back to gardening area, put my 1 item back on the shelf and departed the store. Walking across the parking lot I gave myself a silent reminder: ( this location is no longer an option, remember to glance over when driving by. It won't be long until it's a vacant building.) On a positive note, this Lowe's will have the tools you need in stock, you'll just have to spend a couple hours in store to get it. Hey, here is an idea. Turn it into an online pick up location! Shut the doors to the public and make it a ware house. Except for the garden area, surly it won't come to locking up the plants. read more

I am absolutely appalled at the so-called "customer service" I received at your store. The young lady, Shenika, clearly hates her job or has absolutely no understanding of what customer service even is. If that's the case, she needs to find another line of work, because dealing with paying customers is obviously not her strength. As a single mom, I was simply looking for help, and instead I was met with rudeness so unnecessary that I walked out and went straight to Ace Hardware in Cordova--where, shockingly, I was treated with kindness and respect. Imagine that! I don't know what personal problems this employee has going on, but they should not become my problem as a customer. Honestly, do you even bother speaking to the people you hire before putting them in front of your paying customers? The lack of professionalism is embarrassing for a company of your size. Let me be clear: I will never shop at Lowe's again after this experience, and I will absolutely be telling my friends, family, and neighbors about the way I was treated. This review is for Lowes Online Customer Service. There is zero they are able to do if you are looking for help with a promotion. In my experience, not only was I unable to receive any assistance with a promotion that the online order offered me "you qualify for 20% off up to $100." WHILE I was on hold, intermittently, with the customer service representative, the price of the item went up in my cart. So then I asked for the customer service department to honor the original price which the customer service representative had seen and I had verified with her. They were not able to help with that. So after an hour not only did I not save $100 the price of my purchase went up by $100. I spoke to the customer service manager and they said there's nothing they could do. They were not apologetic. They were abrupt and acting like I was upsetting them.. versus the other way around. Terrible customer service, terrible policies that the customer service representatives do not have the authority or ability to honor basic business practices that should be happening. I'm seriously contemplating never shopping at this chain of stores again. I ended up not buying the item and buying it at Home Depot. A waste of over an hour of my time. Don't waste your time. I recently had an absolutely horrible trip to a local Hime Depot. They were so awful, that I have vowed to never visit one again. I'll write a specific review on them soon! The local Lowe's is a breath of fresh air. When I walked in, multiple friendly employees asked if I needed help finding my purchases. I needed specific help with light bulbs. A knowledgeable gentleman showed up within three minutes and helped me find what I needed. I strongly recommend this store for any big-box hardware visits. We bought a dishwasher here late 2023; everything was great. The installer was clean and knowledgeable. Prices were reasonable. I appreciate the attitudes of the helpful staff. Use Lowe's if you want to have all the problems in the world. I ordered a fridge from this Lowe's and it has been the biggest disappointment/headache/waste of my time. They sent me a damaged fridge that was leaking. I called the next day to tell them I want a new fridge to be delivered and to come pick this one up. I waited on hold for 20 minutes for an employee to hang up on me immediately. I drove straight to Lowe's to ask to speak to a manager. After waiting in line for 20 minutes and then waiting another 30 minutes while they call for a manager on the overhead speaker. Of course, after waiting 30 minutes and still no manager I left and waited for a phone call. I get a phone call from an employee(not the manager) and told him the issues I was having with my brand new fridge and that I wanted a replacement fridge same day as the pickup of the leaky fridge. They said they would come pick it up but that I would have to wait another day or two to receive a replacement fridge. Apparently, this is their policy. After wasting a week of time and energy trying to get Lowe's to right their wrongs with me and no efforts had been made I took my money to Home Depot. I've tried to call Lowe's 2 times today to see when my refund is going to come in. And I of course no one will answer. I walked in to Lowe's today to try and get my money back. They said no, you will have to wait 24 hours and call back to get your refund or come back in person. I've wasted so much time and energy over trying to buy a simple fridge. Save yourself the time and money and headache by not going to Lowe's. It's truly been a thing of nightmares. read more

Lowes has gone down hill real fast. The lowes on byhalia road in Collierville Tennessee, is one of the worst places to shop at. They are out of stock on many items you go in for, yet on line they say they are in stock. The people that work for lowes either don't care to help or they just don't know anything. At checkout and the lady says the 3 plants that I picked up from the table with this sign was not ringing up for this price. Then another young lady told the cashier that a man a little while ago had the same problem & the manager wouldn't let him have it for the sale price. I asked to see the manager as I assumed that the manager should have taken the sign down already if it was causing confusion. The young lady the manager ( first name Rainee) who took the sign down down in front of me and said "it's down now". I told her that was not good customer service as the sign is clearly causing others to think the wrong thing and she was being fraudulent. She got very offended at my tone and made a huge deal about me insisting that they honor the price they obviously knew was still out saying something other than what it should be saying. Purchased a fridge for my mom. It was dented and scratched upon delivery. They didn't bother telling my 85 year old mother. Two weeks latter the ice maker is pouring water into the freezer. As a new homeowner, I've been frequenting several home improvement stores, Lowe's included, and this was easily the worst experience I've ever had. The store itself was trashy - garbage all over the floor and in aisles, random scraps of materials in the middle of aisles, and so forth. I could barely get through a few aisles. Customer service was a joke. It began with the rude lady in the paint area who seemed to be inconvenienced by having to make and mix paint (i.e. do her job) and ended with the condescending gentleman in the door area who said, "I've sold a hundred of these; let me do my job!" in response to a question about their incorrect signage. Completely inappropriate. I'll go the extra mile to not have to deal with this nonsense again. read more

I interacted with at least 4 different employees and they all seemed happy to be at work and genuinely cared about my needs. It's spacious, theres never a large crowd of people ,and they always seem to have what i'm looking for. GREAT help! Everyone is very friendly. I've had to come here multiple times for random household objects, screws, scrapers, and they always seem to have what i'm looking for, and at a cheap price. if you love plants/succulents, then this is the place to go because they have an ABUNDANCE of those to choose from! It's been almost 5 months (signed contract 11/05/2022) and I still have not received all my windows nor have any been installed (3/5/2023)Cameron Roberson "the contractor through Lowe's who sold us the windows" has dropped off the map. He will hang up on us anytime installers, myself, or Lowe's calls and won't return calls. Lowe's keeps 0 communication with customers. I've had to make all the calls, emails, go in person. Shalonda Moore "assistant store manager" keeps telling me they will call me. Marvin "the store manager" keeps hanging up on us. $5,000 and nothing has been done. Ridiculous! Buyer beware of this location!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. How hard is it to deliver 6 non-broken windows and install them?! I won't be calling any support line and be fed the same story. This store seems to have a large staff of poorly trained and supervised employees. Customer service is casual at best and seemingly of no importance to the staff. It's possible that the store pays so little that it can only attract high school kids with no work experience. After completing the purchase transaction for slate flooring to be installed in my home, Paul Paddock became very rude and acted put out anytime I asked a question. I paid for product delivery and was 18 cases short. Paul Paddock told me I would have to drive the rest of the tile in my vehicle. Paul Paddock further suggest I could go to a car wash down the street and clean the dirt out of the car myself. I was suppose to receive a refund on the delivery, but I have yet to see it. I will update as this issue unfolds? The install sales department was so polite the day of my purchase. After purchase, the install sales department did nothing but hang up the phone every time I challenged what they were telling me based on the contract i signed. Their computer systems with stock are completely outdated to the point where the staff have no idea what's in the back and have to go check on each appliance at a time. They can't give you any accurate delivery times and then installation and haul away are also with a different service that they dont have access to. The staff are inadequate. When I showed up, it was there. The people there were very nice and helpful and actually seemed to know what they were talking about, unlike the other one. The customer service representative, Angie, who was very nice and apologetic, explained to us that she didn't have enough cash in her register to refund our item. They can't sell a chainsaw because they can't find them. That's right, no longer are you able to go to the shelf and pick up a saw and then pay on your way out. You have to get a card to take to the cashier who wants you to pay for it then stand around waiting. I refused to pay up front and waited twenty minutes. They said they couldn't find them and asked me to wait for someone else to start his shift. Lowes just learned a lesson in the powers of the consumer. I've always had good experiences with this store. I come here every Winter for my xmas tree and every Summer for annuals...and many times in between for random house stuff. One star because that's the minimum. I live in the area, so it's the most convenient store. Otherwise I would have switched to HD long ago. I miss the Midtown HD. To be clear, I have spent thousands at this store during a reno and seasonal landscaping. As an account holder, I have the virtual card on the Lowes app. Since getting the card, I have used it in Jackson, TN and other Lowes locations without incident. But at this particular location, I have been rebuffed, told falsehoods ("you can't use that in the garden center"), and asked to get out of line and wait until a manager or someone who knows how can come help me. I've been asked / told on numerous occasions to "use another form of payment". Wow. So much for my discount and Lowes developing an account holder base, right? Today was the icing. I went to the garden center, waited, and when the cashier ("C"...I'll refrain from using full names here out of undue respect) couldn't get it to work, she called a manager and asked me to step aside. As I complied, I commented that this happens too often and "they should train you all on how to do this by now". As four other people were checked out, and I waited as no manager arrived, an older gentleman working in the garden center ("S") approached and I was relieved. Upon asking her what she needed, "C" turned her back on the line and burst into tears. That's right. Now "S" looks at the man she had been checking and asked what the problem was....he was trying to pay and at this point offered to use cash "if that's easier". WTH? "C" turns and points at me. I ask "I made you cry"? She yells "you didn't make me cry"! At this point "S" turns to me and says "she's a child, she doesn't deserve that"....am I being punked? I replied "I just want to use a Lowes card" and point to my phone. "S" looks at me like it was about to get physical and says "you need to go inside". I'm shaking my head in disbelief and head into the store. I was approached by two different customer service reps and I persisted in speaking to the store manager on duty. One was "A" who ended up calling the MOD, Corey. "A" was also the one who eventually ended up being helpful and allowing me to pay and leave. I explained everything to Corey (MOD). And YES, at this point I was heated and beyond offended at being treated like I had accosted a teenage girl. On top of the ineptitude and culture of indignance running rampant in this store. After listening to my story, Corey also made the comment that "C" was a teenage girl....like I did anything other than ask to be checked out. WTH?! When I corrected him that I did nothing and said nothing out of line to cause "C" to burst into tears, that she even confirmed, he brushed it off and asked me what I was trying to purchase and he would like to see if the virtual card will scan. As this is my 4th trip to that store in just the past few days (less than a week), I assured him it's not the card that's the issue. Also, my basket is still outside over to the side where I left it. I told him I want the District Managers contact information and he asked "why"? I explained that I would be contacting corporate about that location. He turned to "A" and asked her to go outside with me to check me out and "she will give you that information". I mentioned indignance....well the interaction with "S" and Corey reeked of their disdain for me at first look. Btw, both of them had their mask around their ears, but completely under their chin. So that's another indication of their regard for customers. "A" walked with me back to the garden center and proceeded to check me out on the second, unmanned, register. While "S" proceeded to give me hard looks like he still wanted to take a swing at me. "A" instructed me on how the transaction can be done "in case it happens again". Uh, ok. I appreciated "A" being professional, getting the MOD/Corey to respond, AND taking that extra step of letting me know how I can train the Lowes employees to take the Lowes credit card and allow me to spend money at their store. She also gave me the name of the DM and his email....or what she thought it was....because nobody there actually has his phone number or the email address to offer customers. Curious and convenient, right? As of now I've heard nothing from the DM. Don't even know if that's actually his email. I called corporate and they are "gone for the day". This all happened at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday. At this point, I'll be closing my account and canceling the appt I have for a home estimate on new fencing set for next week. Home Depot will be an extra few miles and I'll need to plan those trips better to be more efficient...rather than running a few blocks every time I need something. Or delivery I guess. Regardless, Lowes just lost my business in two cities. Not that they will care....I'm not delusional. My advice. DON'T open a Lowes account and DON'T patronize the Berclair store. read more

I went to Millington and they said that they did not have them in stock. I cancelled the order and reordered in Souhaven, MS. I waited and it said they were preparing my order. I drove there since they has so many in stock. They had none in stock. I wasted my whole day off on this and still didn't get the product. I called the customer service line and was angry enough to stay hold for 52 minutes just to be hung up on. read more

The bad: while the fan vent cover we needed was supposedly in stock, the employee could not find it anywhere, and had to re-direct us to the Bartlett store. Between 5 and 10 years ago, Lowe's Memphis used to be the best Lowe's in the Mid-South area, not anymore. Lowe's Memphis on Perkins is now the worst anywhere. As a contractor, I used to know where everything was in the store, and I could go in and get what I need in a timely fashion. Now they have moved everything around in the store, and none of the employees seem to know where anything is, and the count on their website is garbage. Example: I needed 3 White range hoods, their website said that they had 19, I drove there and they had zero. They also have their ladders, and carts with stock waiting to be put up blocking the isles. They also don't have anyone retrieving the "pro services" carts all over the parking lot. I wish they would open a Home Depot very close, maybe then they can get their act together when they start losing business. read more
