I have shopped Lowes several times because of their location is sometimes closer to our job site than Home Depot. It's very apart that every time I go into a Lowes store you can NEVER FIND SOMEONE TO HELP YOU!!! This time I walked into the Pro side of the store and looked around trying to find a Lowes employee to help me choose sine mortar and help me load it into my basket. No one around so I proceed to the front and see 2 young guys. I approach a young guy at the Pro Desk and ask him if he could call sunshine to help me with mortar. He said "I don't know anything about mortar". I stood there... He didn't say anything else and didn't call anyone else so I walked over to the cashier knowing full well he couldn't leave his register and asked if he could call someone to help me. His name was Zack and he called someone. I walked back over to the mortar waited and since no one came, lifted (3) 60 pound bags by myself into my cart and pushed it to the front and checked out. Yes, I voiced my frustration of EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME TO LOWES I CAN NEVER FIND AN EMPLOEE TO HELP ME. Even when I've gone to Lowes and don't need help, I notice that there are very few employees there. WHAT IS UP WITH NOT HIRING ENOUGH PEOPLE??? I am going to make it a priority this week to personally meet with this Lowes center Store Manager to talk with him. This is beyond ridiculous! My opinion... If you are in the service business, then hire enough people to serve and help with your customers! If not, close your doors!!! read more

The tile installers came to our house and worked an hour and a half maybe 2 hours tore up our floor and they're gone for the day. They didn't have the tile to start the job. The nightmare continues with our local Lowe's store. This nightmare started on Oct. 2nd when we purchased a countertop from what we thought was a reputable company. I have sent emails to the CEO, Marvin Ellison and received emails from Exec. Customer service rep, Justin Shepard. Now we are still waiting, Mar. 19th for the job to be completed. The original company that installs Lowe's countertops was sold in December to another company TCF (The Countertop Factory). The made an appt with us for yesterday, Mar. 18th and NEVER SHOWED UP. Yet Lowe's has a sign outside of their store that shows our piece of granite and the promise of a 10 days installation. We have waited for 5 1/2 months. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I purchased a Husqvarna leaf blower at this location around July 1st 2023. I have only used the fuel that was sold at Lowes for this product. After the 3rd can of fuel used the leaf blower developed an issue where it was hard to start and also would not maintain idle. After 30 days Lowes will not return the product and it has to taken to a service facility to be repaired. The service repair facilities say because Husqvarna is slow to respond it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to get it repaired. I bought a Husqvarna product because of the name brand association but after I did a little research I found out the blowers are manufactured in CHINA!!!! Great more Chinese garbage. I spoke with a few local gardners and they all use ECHO blowers which are made in Japan. The Echo blowers are more expensive but in the long run they last. Tractor Supply and Home Depot sell Echo products. read more

Ordered a washer and drier from this location. We scheduled delivery two weeks out. Delivery confirmed morning of delivery day. Was supposed to be delivered between 11 and 3. At 2:45 got a phone call from the store and said that they couldn't deliver today. That they changed it to the next day. I got a full refund and will never be back. read more

NEVER EVER GET FLOORING DONE THROUGH LOWES !!!! You will absolutely regret it. I had new vinyl plank, laminate flooring installed two years ago. After a year of having these new floors, I kept noticing more and more flaws and issues where the tiles were pushing against each other and breaking each other. I spent a year being passed around between manufacturer, installer and Lowe's until I finally reported it to the Better Business Bureau. I have been spent the last three months being led to believe that there was going to be a settlement, and that the situation would be made right. They even had somebody else come out and inspect the flooring and he said it was definitely installed incorrectly, and the manufacturer sent me a letter stating it was installed incorrectly. Lowe's told me today that they are not going to do anything to settle the situation. It was a $10,000 floor that is a piece of shit now. I hope I can see if somebody else from experiencing that. Now I have to go to the attorney general and then three on our side because I'm not going to stand for this injustice! So I arrived today at 9am needed to pick up a 1x2x8 board to finish project I was looking for a straight board as they were all warped and shaped like a banana Employee comes over and tells all of us that we're shopping in that isle. Let's clear up that LG is not dumping units on an unsuspecting Lowe's. The problem is incompetent management. They do not care enough to contract with a delivery and installation operative that trains their people in simple basics. As proof, I recently went to the Lowe's store on S. Higley Rd. in Queen Creek, AZ. Nice lay out,very neat, and not lots of unpacked things laying around in a cluttered store like Lowe's in Apache Junction on Ellsworth & Southern. Went to the Queen Creek store because they showed an item in stock that I wanted. While in the store I decided to meander over to appliances where they had items neatly organized. I decided to ask the employee on duty four questions (rather generic) about a specific sector of appliances. The employee answered all four (4) questions correctly. On the way home I decided to swing by the Lowe's in Apache Junction. I went to the appliance department, sought out an employee who confirmed they worked in the appliance department, and asked that person the same four (4) generic appliance questions. Sure enough, they missed all four! Is that a reflection that the store hires people who are unable to answer questions or does it imply that the store is neither managed or operated properly? Ordered a dishwasher and fridge on 5/31. Paid for installation and haul of old units. Receipt AND salesman Ed says it will be delivered 6/12. First, i get a call a week early saying the fridge will be delivered, and since the delivery is within 24 hours of the call, there's no way to reschedule. We had to scramble to make sure someone was home. I call on 6/12 after not hearing from anyone about the dishwasher, and was told several times they would call me back with an update. Never received a call back. Wayne was the Appliance employee that said I would be called back, multiple times. When I called back and finally tracked someone down, Lowes said the dishwasher has been sitting at the store since 6/5, waiting for the 3rd party installer to pick it up and schedule. I call the 3rd party installer, and they say it's scheduled for 6/18, and that date was scheduled by a Lowes representative Marie. No one, either from Lowes or the 3rd party installer, could explain why the receipt said 6/12, and why no one had contacted me while the unit was sitting at the Lowes site for the last week, and no one ever checked to see if 6/18 was a good date to deliver. Zero communication, zero ownership. Jay, a site manager at Lowes, advised that they had no part of the scheduling and once it goes to the 3rd party it's out of their hands. Customer service agent also said "their portion of the transaction is complete", even though the dishwasher is still sitting at Lowes. Save the headache and order from Amazon or Home Depot. No one from Lowes cares once the purchase is made. read more

I've been putting brick pavers in my backyard and it's been a years-long project. I've been getting the large 900# totes of sand from Lowe's. I usually get them from a different Lowe's than the one this review is about. One of the times, I didn't get the tote bag back within the 90-day return window (there is a $20-$23 deposit). The manager at that store said that she could override the 90 day return policy and she refunded me the deposit money. I turned right around and bought another tote along with hundreds of dollars worth of other materials. In fact, I have spent a minimum of $50,000 at Lowe's over the last 30 years, fixing up and remodeling three houses that I have owned over that time span. I decided to get a tote of sand from the Tempe, AZ store, #3000, because it happened to be convenient. Well, once again, I went over the 90 day limit (I've boaught at least six totes from them). It turned out to be 110 days. I went to the Tempe Lowes and the manager on duty told me that Lowe's basically lost THEIR deposit on the bag because I was returning it past the 90 days and that he had had to buy another bag to replace the one that I was attempting to return. I asked if I could get store credit. Nope. I told him I was going to turn around and spend $400 just on that visit (8 - 4'x'8 lattices and and 24 - 2x4 ground contact lumber.). Nope. He wouldn't have any of it. There was nothing he could do. Now, I knew this was a lie because the manager at the other store was able to override that 90-day return policy. So Matt was lying through his teeth. If he had been honest with me and said he WOULD not override the policy instead of telling me he COULD not, I would have had some modicum of respect for him. But because of Matt's lackadaisical attitude toward me, Lowe's has lost a customer. Oh, sure, I'll buy some small items from them if I'm in a pinch, but it's the big orange HD for me from now on. And I plan on telling EVERYBODY about my experience with Matt, the manager on duty at 2:45 pm of the Lowe's on 777 E Baseline Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283, Lowe's store number 3000. Once again, I went into Lowe's looking for a specific item. I waited about 10 minutes for help from someone. He eventually went off somewhere with another customer and never came back. I waited about 15 minutes more and asked some other associates for help, but never got any. I was looking for a specific item for an electrical application (solderless wire connectors that do not need to be crimped). I had photos of the items. The ONLY nice person in the store was the cashier, Hillary. She apologized, but there is nothing she could do to help after lazy employees just avoid the customers. A few months ago, when associates wanted surveys, they could be found all over. They would proudly say their name and ask us to fill out the survey. Now that they survey is over, they couldn't care less about customers, even though I have a "Pro Account" for my businesses. Lowe's sucks and will eventually be replaced by companies like Amazon. It's simply astounding to me that so many lazy people can congregate in one store. I honestly don't know how Lowe's stays in business. I can't speak for all locations, but the one on Ellsworth and the one on Higley in Mesa are the epitome of places to avoid if you need to ask someone for assistance. They have all the customer service skills of a typical Motor Vehicle office, except they also have the ability to just hide in the back when they don't feel like working. Went here this morning to get a barbecue grill for my sons birthday. When I go to Lowe's this is the one I go to. Very clean and well set up. I walked right over to the grills, pick one out and was out the door within 10 minutes. And that was even with the guy going to the back room to get me one in the box. Wes is who helped me and he was fantastic. He Brought it out to my truck and loaded it for me. Very nice experience. read more

This Lowe's is where you go when you want to see people who hate their job. No one is willing to help. The staff in most departments avoid customers like the plague. It's almost like they are searching for people who are disgruntled during the interview process. I have never seen such a low level of customer service and such miserable employees in one place. I was in there on 4/27/2020 looking for two 1" PVC elbows without threads. No one could find any. Then I asked for four 3" long machine bolts with washers and nuts. After looking around for almost 30 minutes for help, I finally walked out in disgust. The worst part is that no one seems to care: not the staff and not the managers. We purchased tile installation services and they 'lost our order', or it was 'not found in the warehouse', we talked to a manager, Pat, in person who said we'd have our delivery by Monday, 6/21/21. No delivery was made. Originally We were supposed to have the tile and supplies in our house by late last week (6/17/21), but that never happened. There was one lady we talked to, named Brenda, who was awesome but unfortunately she is not a supervisor at the store. Called Lowe's back today (6/21/21) to get our refund so we can take our business elsewhere. Luckily the process of getting our money refunded wasn't awful, but it's sure still frustrating as it would be nice to get our house renovated sooner rather than later. 0/10 would never consult for services ever again. We recently became homeless. And in preparation for this lovely extended stay in the scorching Arizona heat, we bought a generator and air conditioning unit from Lowe's to cool our tent. That way our son with down's syndrome wouldn't get too hot. We had it for three weeks and it stopped working. It is really heavy so my husband tried to get someone out to fix it. They wouldn't come. It took us two weeks to get it back to the store we purchased it from. They said they couldn't help us as it had been longer than 30 days. Adult protective services want to take away our son because they found out the generator wasn't working. And Lowe's wants to help them. Just another kick in the gut. With the exception of a few employees at this particular location, the customer service is horrible. I have been in many times and gone to get help from employees just chit chatting at the front lanes. To my surprise they were no help and didn't bother to call anyone in the department I needed help in. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but when you don't even try them shame on you. I recently bought a deep freezer and was trying to get information on its delivery but was given a run around before finally going off because they had me in a holding pattern for 15 minutes . I'd rather just return and buy from else where than deal with such awful customer service. I purchased a fridge. I had to chase up the arrival date at the store. Then I had to chase up delivery. Then I had to alter my day as the time we had agreed on, the delivery people changed. The fridge had flaws and the rep at the store said he would order another. Again, as I chase up the delivery, it turns out it wasn't even ordered. Then he ordered it and scheduled a date. The delivery people called me the day before the scheduled date to deliver. Now here is the problem I have. If I go to the store, I am required to wear a mask. The delivery guys didn't even offer to wear one. We both have health concerns and protect ourselves. But, we had to clean and sterilize our home because during a pandemic they didn't consider anyone but themselves. read more

My mom came home after going here shopping for a new sink for us, and she said Quint helped her out and she just adored him! She said he was knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and went above and beyond for her. My mom works two jobs and taught me all about work ethic, so for her to say he's exceptional is a big deal. She wishes everyone could be trained by him, and that he deserves to be recognized. We will be calling tomorrow to be giving him a compliment! Good afternoon, just want to let you know as a company that I had the worst experience at your Apache Junction store today and your employees nearly ruined my Father's Day. I went to the store to try and find some aquaponics Supplies for my aquarium. Possibly some clay balls or some Netted pots and I was also looking for some indoor plants that would be good for this. My family drove me to Lowe's on Ellsworth and southern. Right away walking into the store I was told by the cashier that they don't know anything and they're not usually there at that location. Upon finding another gentleman on a ladder putting things away on the shelf in the outdoor area I asked if they had any hydroponic soil's like clay balls. He literally just stared at me for about 15 seconds with an annoyed look on his face and just said we don't care anything like that's in the store man and just went back to putting stuff away on the shelf. I apologized and said sorry for wasting your time he just shook his head and did not even look at me. After checking the soils for indoor plants on the outside of the store I went inside and found a Lowe's employee in a green shirt "older lady" watering the indoor plants. I thought to myself this woman will know what I'm talking about or be able to point me in the right direction. I walked up to the woman with a smile and said "hello how are you doing today?" She just stared at me and said "yeah?". I said "you look like you can help me find what I'm looking for" she replied with a nasty tone and a sarcastic attitude " I doubt it cause I don't know what the hell you're looking for" I simply asked her if they sold any types of hydroponic soil's and she just simply said "no we don't carry anything like that you should get on Amazon" and went back to watering the plants. In frustration I threw my hands up and said very loudly I apologize for bothering you and making you do your job. She just shook her head, and I walked out of the store. I walked into Lowe's with a great attitude, a smile on my face and money to spend. I walked out extremely disappointed, frustrated, and empty-handed. Drove about 1 mile to Home Depot were they help me with everything I needed and we're very friendly. I'm extremely disappointed in your employees that work at the store. This is probably the first review that I've ever sent to a company as it takes a lot to get under my skin being a contractor. I'm not asking for anything in return or even reply just simply take a better look at your employees and teach them how to treat customers with respect and courtesy. Without people like me coming to your store they would not have a job and they need to understand that. I appreciate whoever reads this message and hope you have a great day. I ordered a ceiling fan online and payed $159 for installation. After several emails and texts and a phone call confirming my installation the installer never showed! The company Handy services never notified me I had to call them and the lady said the installer was a no show! So Handy said they would refund my money and install at a later date. So after scheduling my new install date I was recharged the $159. I'm returning the fan and getting a refund on the installation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS LOWES AND HAVING IT OR ATTEMPTING TO HAVE IT INSTALLED! read more

This store is unremarkable as far as "big box stores" go. They do stock some items I can't find at Home Depot. Where they could shine is better employee customer interactions. At this particular Lowe's store. You can easily weave up and down each isle, pass by a dozen employees, and not one will ask if you need help. We bought a washer and dryer and when delivered the dryer did not work, was stained with coffee and the top was dented. They took the not working dryer with them and left us with just the washer. 3 days later they dropped off another dryer and turned it on for a few seconds and claimed it worked and left. The next morning we proceeded to do laundry and the washer sounded like something was rubbing or grinding during the wash cycle so we stopped when the cycle completed and placed the clothes into the dryer and set a timed cycle. We went out for a couple of hours and when we came back the dryer was STILL running!!!!!! We called Lowes and was told the dryer they would replace but the washer was here for more than 48hrs!!! It took us talking to 2 managers 1 at the store and the 2nd at Lowe's delivery and had to argue with both before they agreed to take them back and refund us. They refunded 1/2 to our card than took another 2 days to give us the CASH remaining and told us they can't refund to the card. Guess they lost this Veterans business for good read more

This store (Ellsworth and Southern) is infested with mosquitoes. I have been there several times in the past few weeks after a supply line ruptured and flooded my house. The store is infested with mosquitos due to a derelict golf course next door. I could see many mosquitoes flying around inside the store and I have been bitten multiple times on my ankles and legs. read more

Bad experience all round Horrible, horrible customer service. Yes it is so bad I cannot understand how Lowes stays in business. We purchased a GE Electric Range on Jan 2 2018 from a salesman who, while pleasant, knew absolutely nothing about ranges. We knew more only because we had researched them on Consumer Reports. He did not even know the procedure for processing the sale documentation as was evidenced that he first led us to wait in line along with himself to a key cutting machine, but after a minute I questioned what the key cutting had to do with anything. He then realized his mistake and suggested we try one of the regular checkout registers. After waiting in that line for our turn , the cashier told us that we would have to go to customer service desk! On our arrival there another staff member confirmed that we had arrived at the right section and the salesman thanked us and left . At that point the other person promptly processed the necessary documentation, without further delay or problem. The salesman had told us that the item was stock in stock but that delivery would be 7 days and we would receive a call the day before. As we did not get a call when expected I called them and was told that delivery would not be for at leaast another week. I told them that we had just sold our present range relying on the fact that we would be getting the new one the next day. I was then put on hold for a short time and then informed that on checking they actually had them in stock and could deliver the following day after all! We had previously scheduled a pick up of the old one at time of delivery and I had cancelled that pickup. Surprise! The new one was delivered at about 7.45 am the following morning. I mentioned to the delivery people that I had cancelled old appliance pick up and he confirmed that was correct as they had no instructions to pick up. However on checking the Lowes credit card online a few days later there was no credit for the pick up fee, so I called the store and was informed that a credit should have been issued but would take about 3 days before it was posted, and if it was not to take it up with the issuing bank. I called that bank two days after that and was told that no credits were pending. At that point I paid the balance, less the disputed credit and filed a written dispute to which I subsequently received acknowledgment. It is currently still under investigation. NOW FOR THE WORST PART and a good reason why you should never shop at Lowes. The door on the oven would not stay in the 45degree fully open position but kept springing up to neatrly fully closed. Because of this, the only way to remove a pan was to put one knee on the door while holding the pan with both hands, or get someone else to hold the door open while the pan was removed. As the hinges did not appear to be adjustable we called lowes service dept and booked aservice call. At that time we were informed that if the issue was not covered by warranty we would have to pay for the service call. I responded that surely you must know whether a door that did not stay open was covered or not? The person responded that it would be up to the service person to decide that, but I would have to agree to pay for the call if it was not covered. I reluctantly agreed only because without a service call we could not use the oven safely. An appointment was then scheduled and "da da" second surprise - the serviceman arrived at the appointed time right on schedule! After a few minutes he proclaimed that it was beyond repair as the chassis itself was twisted, which was probably caused by having being dropped and advised us to request an exchange. I was surprised as there was no visible damage, but as it was delivered without a box I suppose it could have been dropped and the packing prevented dents or scratches. I then phoned customer service at the Lowes store and explained the situation and asked for an exchange. After providing them with the requested details regarding invoice #, date of purchase etc, etc. I was informed that I would have to physically visit the store with the stove and make a return and would receive a refund. I told them that I did not want a refund and that I wanted them to deliver a new one and at the same time pick up the defective one. They again repeated their policy. At that point I asked to speak with the store manager at which point I was put on hold after which their policy was once again repeated. I pointed out that as it was originally delivered by Lowes and having been confirmed unrepairable it should be exchanged for a new one at their expense. I also mentioned that I did not have a suitable vehicle in order to return it to the store and as I am pushing 80 did not want to attempt to load it on my own even if I did rent a truck. If I were to contract with a moving outfit to make the return how long would it be before we would receive a replacement, and would I be required to arrange for pick read more

Have an issue with a custom order...1) called several times and after about 30 rings to the main number the call just goes dead; 2) Take your money for an order & installation and then 2 days later tell you product is on backorder and could be 2+ weeks, then 1+ week to schedule the install. What a great business model / ethics...take your money, then tell you they don't have the product, and sit on your cash (all the while earning interest in the THEIR bank), and you just wait, paying interest on your credit card. Now on hold for 1 hour with their corporate offices and still no one has picked up the phone. THIS IS THE WORST OF THE WORST of customer service. They may not find they are doing so well when this economy bursts in a few months and they've lost their customers. read more

Just leaving Lowe's in Ellsworth Road in Mesa, very disappointing to see misleading signs posted on their patio furniture, talked to the first associate who said let me get an associate that works in the patio furniture department as this furniture is clearanced out. We said sure thanks then we have another associate. Who takes the up to 40% off sign off the furniture set we were looking to buy, she proceeds to say I hate that they keep hanging this 40% off sign on this set it's not the correct price. I asked to speak with a manager then a manager comes and talks to us and can't explain why they would keep putting a sign like that up to deceive his customers and went and got the manager Derek who works in the patio section as he proceeds to tell us it 10% off. I asked him again why would he put a sign like that on this patio set as he pointed to a table that is 40% off. I again asked help me understand why you would continue to mislead you customers, you own associate made comments that she has continually removed the misleading sign and they keep putting it back up. He replied it is not misleading, I then said I again want to make sure I am hearing you right you are ok with misleading your customers and making your own employees have to handle upset customers. He said sorry shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. Guess what Derek and LOWES it's a big deal to deceive customers but it's a bigger deal to not care about your employees being put in that kind of position. Thank you HOME DEPOT for having accurate am advertising and caring about your employees. I have a beautiful back yard that I will buy my patio furniture from HOME DEPOT!
