Paid for installation of a dishwasher and told it would take a week. After 5 days, I had not heard from them so I went to the store to see what was going on. They hadn't even CONSIDERED scheduling the installation and said the earliest time would be an additional week. I canceled the installation, which took AN HOUR to complete, and when I got home I realized the installation cost was improperly credited. Asked cashier where said plant was, after having to get her attention from being distracted by her phone. She said, "I don't know, ton will have to look around." I didn't want to use the self-serve, so I went to the Returns Desk, where I have paid for many of my items in the past. The woman there didn't want to wait on me, even though she wasn't busy. She told me to go to the self-serve. And I asked,"Why can't I pay here?". And she said, this area if for returns only. I told her,"I've paid for my items here, many times" She wouldn't serve me, so I left without buying the items. Are the self-serve checkouts worth losing customers? We had a fridge delivered late yesterday. The old one we paid them to take was to wide for our new entry door which is standard 36 inch, was forced out our door and damaged the frame. Went to Moline, IL Lowes to get eight 40 lb bags of top soil. Walked the whole garden center several times and couldn't find a loading cart. Went into another area and was told it was for employees only and was instructed to leave and they would get me a cart. I waited nearly 5 minutes and finally an employee brought a cart. I managed to get the 8 bags onto the loading cart and with effort got to the check out. I told the cashier I would need help loading into the car. She called for assistance. Got my car from lot and pulled up to be loaded. Waited several more minutes and the cashier again called for assistance. After another 5 minutes, I (74 year old, 130 lb female) had to manage loading the bags of top soil into the car myself!! read more

We have been Lowes Customers for years. We recently purchased an appliance that we had already researched. All we had to do was check the availability & pay for our purchase. Because we were without this appliance, we asked to be called as soon as our unit arrived so we could have it delivered as soon as possible. Our Sales Associate, Kimberly, assured us she would call us personally when it came in. 11 days later, still no call, even though the unit WAS in. We called numerous times & the calls were not returned. Once we actually reached her, she told us that it was not stated on our paperwork that she was to call us. Obviously, once she made her sale, she no longer had any use for us. The lack of Customer Service was shocking & we will not be returning. read more

The worst store to buy from. Bought a fridge a year ago, already broke. Paid tmi to fix but they said it wasn't worth it I could buy new for the same price. So I went to lowes to buy a brand new fridge. Wait two weeks to wait all day ti be delivered. But truck broke down, had to wait another three days. Two steps in my house the delivery guy said he needed all 36" of the door, but he hadn't seen my fridge. Get them to take it out of the box to measure and say they can't. I ask about taking off doors, I was then told there's drawers on the bottom and can't come off. I mentioned that they come out, then he yelled to me that they're not doors. Replied I would get money back and closed my door. He proceeded to scream in the street at me and left Styrofoam all over my street. I picked up the Styrofoam and drove to lowes where I have been waiting two plus hours to get my refund till they have the fridge in the store, even tho it never came off their truck. Let me first start off by saying my husband and I have always been Lowe's customers and will continue to be. This review is based solely on their kitchen remodel performance. We originally came into the store to choose all new appliances for our new home. After speaking with Lief (who was an amazing help) we realized our oven and microwave insert would have to be removed and we would need something built in order to have the one we wanted. We were set up with an appointment with Terry who would help us with the kitchen remodel. We decided to get a new pantry and countertops as well. After our consultation we were told it would take a max of 2-3 days to finish this project since there wasn't much to do. From day one of the remodel things started getting absurd and I felt like I was dealing with a amateur company who was going to take my money and run. Day 1- the materials weren't here after they were supposed to be delivered two days prior so the crew left and my husband went to get everything at Lowe's himself, mind you, once the crew left and we were left in the dark with no phone calls from anyone telling us anything. All calls were us calling them. Day 32 (yeah so much for 2 days) we finally got our kitchen done and guess what, we still have parts that terry and Ashley said they would have someone come pick up in our garage. These two need to learn what communication is, they need to learn that their words represent the Lowe's company and they both need to learn how to push the "accept" button on their phones when their clients call. Especially the ones who spent over $19,000 for a basic remodel! If I went on to tell you everything that went wrong with our remodel I would be here all day and you would be bored and mind blown honestly. So let's just say it was a nightmare! -Don't expect Terry to give you any help once he makes his sale. He will avoid your phone calls and push you onto other people with excuse after excuse. ***I do have to say that the best experience we had with the whole ordeal was Interacting with Lief, he is a great asset to the Lowe's company! He came to our house and helped us put a temporary sink and counter tops in because we were without them for almost a week and my sons party was the next day! He didn't leave our house until close to 8:30 at night after getting here at 4pm! Great guy! He was the only one whose apology I actually felt was sincere. Their warranty is as solid as the equipment they sell. A wheel fell off the Kobalt (a division of Lowe's!) mower I bought there. They declined to honor their warranty, literally turning their back on me when I asked to call Kobalt to appeal, and refused me written documentation of the interaction when I requested it. read more

I was disappointed with my experience here today. I needed assistance in finding a replacement part. Unfortunately, I did not have the necessary part information to allow them to assist me. I do not blame them for that. However, it took an unreasonable amount of time to find an employee that could help. When I did track down an employee, that employee referred me to another department where I again stood around for several minutes. The employee that then wandered up lacked any sense of urgency, and her attitude during our interaction was disappointing she could not have cared less whether I was successful in finding what I needed.
