Best store ever. Everything was clean and tidy. I read some past reviews and seem to think maybe the reviewer just is a horrible person.

I bought a patio fan on labor day. Lowes uses Angie's for installation. Today 9/16/25, I was rescheduled for the 4th time to have this fan installed in my patio. Before you have any work done with Angie's through Lowes, think twice. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot. read more

I had to deal with an out-of-state situation with getting a dishwasher delivered and I had a unique circumstance that was challenging to deal with. I ended working with Christie who's one of the store managers at this store and she was great to work with despite the challenging situation involving in-store credit. She made the process very easy and was able to help me out significantly. If she's the example of workers at this Lowe's, then this store should be doing well. I just went into Lowe's and I cannot understand why they cannot apply the military discount at the self checkout. Can someone from Lowe's, can you please tell me why the computers cannot apply that discount at self checkout. There should be a barcode that would apply it that the employee can scan. Other hardware stores do it. So I know the tech is out there. Just ineffective for anyone who wants the discount to have to wait in a line where there might be a long line. Hence the reasons for going into the self checkout lines. read more

This Lowe's has been my go to store to help support locally. The garden section last year wasn't as good as it usually was but I overlooked it. Checking out is the problem! One register for cash and debit the automated does not take cash...they use to accommodate. The staff has been helpful and friendly. This store seems to be the first I have found that they are forcing your money to be spent elsewhere. (Walmart tried often to eliminate cash and cashiers). read more

Well if I could have left a 0 star this is what it would be and here is why. I ordered a BBQ on line first it said they had in stock at the store well that was not true they had to get it sent from the manufacturer so that was fine I'll take that hit as I did not need it till the following week for a family reunion. Well then they sent me a e mail/ update on their web site that said it would be ready Tuesday not Wednesday well now I'm really pleased with my purchase. Well I think we all would be but I was let down again by Lowe's I call and they said it would be ready Wednesday again so before I left to go pick it up I called and they said it was ready for pick up so off I go to pick it up. Well I get their and I have to wait for like 15 min for them to bring it out to me but the last straw was when it came out still in the box and I tell them it was to be put together by you guys at Lowe's and he checked to make sure and the employee even said yes it was to be they get on the phone to the manager and things were said and the employee then told us the assembly team has called out the last 2 days and I asked when can it be put together and they could not give me a answer at all. The manager or whoever they talked to could not even come out and talk to me. Well needless to say I returned it and got my money back and went right over to Home Depo and it took them 1day to put a BBQ together for me and saved my family reunion. Holy cow! Today was my worst experience yet! Since we moved to Nampa, Lowe's has been the spot for all of our upgrade needs. Now, it is a hit or miss on customer service...some days are amazing but more days are the complete opposite. Today I went in to grab some more stuff for our garden and needed some wood cut for my fencing. Nothing too crazy...just two 1.5 inch x 10 foot boards cut to fit in my car. I literally waited by the saw for about 10 minutes with my 2 children (one of which is special needs) and had a few associates walk right passed us without even a glimpse. I ended up walking to the front and ask for help and they called through the intercom for someone to help us with the saw. Again, we waited and again, more associates walked passed up without any glance! Really??! My special needs daughter had hit her limit and was starting to break down into her tantrum. I was so upset that we waited patiently for 20+ minutes and wasted time watching 8 associates as they walked passed us to help other customers. I'm still seriously blown away and not in a good way. read more

Their web site sucks . And they are out of all the things need . And on their web site it says it will notify you when the item is back in stock and it never does . So, it's a Saturday and hundreds of people are inside shopping. Credit cards and debit card machines aren't working. The lines are crazy long. And they wait until checkout to let you know they can't process your purchase. And the kicker, it hasn't been working for 3 and a half hours. Any modicum of customer care, empathy, or competence might cause them post a sign or let you know on the way in. They chose neither. That's a truly stunning level of incompetence. read more

I visited this Lowe's location on Saturday, November 19th, 2020. My husband and I were looking for a new door handle for our front door & a touchpad deadbolt. Prior to coming in we had looked online to see what they had and we found a great deal on a deadbolt. While at the store, we could t find it. So, we went to customer service to get some help. The lady at the desk was super helpful and checked inventory. She confirmed that there were 4 available. She ended up calling for Paul, the sales associate that works in that department. Paul came over and was amazing! He looked everywhere for the box that had the locks in it. After about 20 minutes, he ended up getting a manager and another associate to help him locate the item. He never became annoyed with us. He genuinely wanted to help us! After about 30 minutes of looking, Paul grabbed a similar deadbolt (it was more expensive) and said, "please give me a minute, I'm going to go talk to my manager and see if we can get you a discount on this one". I didn't expect that at all. A few minutes later he returned and said that they were going to give me this lock at the same price as the one they couldn't locate. I was beyond grateful and shocked! It seems like it's so rare, especially in big box stores, to get such stellar customer service. Paul really made our night. We were able to get what we needed and left the store feeling as if Lowe's really cares about their customers. I was so impressed by Paul and his willingness to help! I already emailed the corporate office to let them know just how great Paul was! read more

I recently purchased a hot water heater. The issue I have was with Brian in appliances. He gave me an install quote of $600 to $800 dollars for a $367 water heater. If you decide to buy from here they do not price match install and the next day install is laughable... The plumber called me the next day at 6:35 pm. I did some researching and got an over the install (licensed and bonded) quote of $150 from an up and coming Anderson Plumbing. He was very professional and courteous. He let me see the complete install and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company. Kenny Anderson did my brother-n-laws install 3 months ago. Superb customer service. I had the worst customer service ever from a woman named LaKaya in the Nampa Lowes paint department! I asked her if they had a wax product to seal the chalk paint. LaKaya rudely responded, " No this is the paint department!" After explaining again, she replied yes they have it. I then asked the price, and she snapped at me saying, "I don't know all the prices in the store!" So I asked if she could please go look, she said, " I could?" Then I asked her for her name and she hung up on me! Five minutes later, I proceeded to call customer service and asked to speak to the woman in the paint department and was told her name was Lakaya. When she answered again, she denied ever taking my call, but it was the same rude voice. My husband and I are building a new home and planned on using this Lowe's for paint, lights, plumbing, fixtures, cabinets, flooring, and electrical. Now we're not! And we will talk to our Contractor who recommended we use his builder account at Lowe's about taking his business elsewhere for his future builds! We'll also tell all our friends and family! Horrible horrible horrible... Nobody in the store knows what they are doing... had carpet installed in my 3 bedrooms 1st they didn't order the proper a.ount of carpet for all 3 rooms then they tried to charge me for the additional carpet they needed to order.. I then went to install the hard wood in the rest of the house only to find out there wasn't any tac strip installed in the bedroom door ways for me to attach my carpet too called and basically they said they can't do anything aboiut if what the heck carpet isn't even 6 months old! I hate lowes will no longer be doing any sort of business with them. read more

I shop a lot at various home improvement stores. Seems like my experiences are hit or miss depending on many factors. It is pretty hard to be a miss, though, when I know what I want and don't need any special help. But in trying to check out of the gardening area two days ago, I experienced just such a miss and I thought it was needless. I put the blame squarely on the female manager there at the time (name withheld to protect the guilty). Her staff coordination skills were so poor. While she was idly chatting with staff, the check out line was growing and growing. Then, one clerk went on break to make things worse. She did not seem to notice. We eventually made it through, but there was a huge line behind us. As we were leaving, I passed by where she and a colleague were calmly chatting about how/where to move some plants. So I pointed out, "Hey, there's quite a line there and only one clerk." She said, "Yeah, I know. But we're busy doing other things." Even if I don't take a customer's side and take the point of view of the head of a store, what's more important than waiting customers wanting to give you their money? read more

Well I like Lowes better than its biggest competitor because its just nicer but I never expect there to be anyone to help me which is a shame. If they would invest in more staff they would have happier customers. We just bought new appliances and the fridge was on back order and was supposed to be delivered on a tuesday so my husband postponed a trip because they can deliver but not hook it up for liability reasons so about an hour before its supposed to be here I get a call that their truck broke down so when do I want to reschedule? I explained that I can't hook it up myself so I guess in another 2 weeks when my husband gets back????? I was dissapointed but I guess if they only have 1 truck what can they do? Was taken to one end of store to find one item and to another part for the other item. A few years ago I had Lowe's install new carpet in my family room and living room and pergo floors in 3 of my bedrooms, the kitchen and hallway. I was very happy with that. So when I was redoing my kitchen this past summer, the experience was just the opposite! First, I went in to explain what I wanted and to make arrangements to get things measured. I had to pay $75 for someone to come and measure!!! However, I was told that the $75 could be applied to installation of items. The bid was to come to me within 48 hours. So, almost two weeks later I had to call the manager to get the bid. I had a few questions, so I emailed them back. No response! I eventually went to another cabinet place who did not charge me for measuring! The cupboards are beautiful. I went back to Lowe's and purchased a microwave range hood, a granite sink and all of the backsplash. I asked if I could use the $75 credit towards my purchase. Again, I was told no, it was for installation. There was a sign posted stating that the fee was $125 to install microwave range hood. I went back into Lowe's and got a bid for the countertops. Their bid to replace the countertops using the most inexpensive material they had was more than what I had granite countertops installed. And the granite company did not charge me for measuring! So I then called Lowe's to see about getting the range hood installed. I was told I had to come in. So I went in. I was then told that I did not have to come in! I showed them all of my paperwork and they quoted me $113 to install range hood! No, I couldn't use the $75 to pay for installation. That was only for the measuring. So I did not have them install it. While there I needed to purchase everything I needed to plumb the sink that had now been installed. I went to 3 different people before I got someone who said he knew exactly what I needed. Guess what. I had to return all of that because it was not the proper items. I am so tired of having to go into Lowe's, hunt up an employee to "help" you and then being told a different story about the $75 fee, etc. I then wrote a letter of complaint to the Manager, who has not even had the consideration to respond. Needless to say, we are now converting my stove to propane and no, I will not buy my new stove at Lowe's. We had cupboards built around a larger spot for a refrigerator and no, we will not buy refrigerator at Lowe's! I am done doing business with Lowe's!!! read more

Bought a new ride on Craftsman lawnmower and bag system. Delivery sucks...you have to wait all day with no window time and no way to contact them about it. Assembling the bag system was not exactly easy but we got it done but then the mower wouldn't start. Took awhile to figure out the bag chute had a bracket put on wrong and not with a standard screw. Warranty people sucked. One of the warranty places actually said I had to bring it in for them to help bc they don't get paid for the labor....ugh hello, its a big & heavy riding mower and doesn't exactly fit in a car or can be lifted in a truck! So I ended up calling Lowes Nampa Manager Dain, and he researched a new bag box to see if there was one around. He found only one in TV and went to get it and bring it to me, and we switched out the part and wala...the mower was fixed and ran. Thank you to Dain the Manager for going out of his way to help solve the problem. It is much appreciated. read more

I should have followed my instincts and stuck with my previous statement of, " I will never shop in Lowe's again." This was due to poor customer service in the past. But I did shop there again and bought a number of Christmas presents for other people as well as quite a few holiday decorations. I found out we purchased more garland than we needed. I just went to return these items and was told they would not take them. This is with a receipt and unused items. I guess I should have returned them before Christmas but I was out of town for work quite a few days and did not get around to it. This explains why people are choosing to order items from Amazon and shop at places like Costco. It is also a good reason why I shop at the local hardware store more than these big box operations. Customer service is not important to people at this location. Therefore now when I say, " I will never shop at Lowe's again." I mean it. read more

I came to this store to get one thing. I walked in the front door and after asking an employee where I would find my item he told me that it would be located at the far end of the store (isle 61 or 62). After looking for 5 minutes I asked another employee (who was simply standing around) where my item might be located and she replied that what I was asking for "wasn't her department" and to ask the employees in tools. So I went to the tool department and asked an employee there where I would find my item and he said it was in isle 2 or 3...... AT THE FRONT OF THE STORE. Welp. Yes. You guessed it. It too wasn't in either of those isles. I ended up wasting 15 minutes asking for assistance for something I had to find for myself, in the very first isle. Yes, near the front door. If only one of the employees had taken initiative to actually be helpful and do their JOB and help me find this ONE item, but instead they sent me all over the store. Thanks guys. read more

I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer two months ago and have yet to receive it. The day I purchased it they said it would be delivered in two weeks and gave me the date and time, which was a Wednesday. Well I got a call Tuesday night telling me it wouldn't be there until Thursday ok no problem.. Then I got a call Wednesday saying it wouldn't be delivered until Saturday, okay that's fine. Until I got a call on Friday... He asked me if the lady had explained to me when I purchased the washer and dryer that it was on back order until MAY 16th. When I replied no and that they had given me a delivery date and called me several times promising it was only a day or two away he had no idea about any of that. I went into a store and spoke with a nice manager who got me a free loaner which I extremely appreciated but that day I was told they would be delivered on May 16th well that came and went. I waited until May 20th to even call and check up because I was waiting for there call. Well now I won't be receiving it until around June 1st. I will never do business with Lowes again! read more

Went there and ordered some carpet to have installed and waited for the phone call to schedule a day for lowes to come measure the area for the flooring. They called us after we spent hours picking out everything that we wanted to find out that the installer wouldn't travel to our house even though it was within their maximum traveling distance. Pretty lazy! So glad that Home Depot agreed to do it and for the same price. Won't be taking our business to Lowes ever again. Very disappointed in their service. read more
