The space is huge and a lot of area to cover therefore I always seek a representative who can assist with directing me to the section needed without overwalking. The price of many home improvement items are a balance for the value of the items i was in search of. Visited Lowe's home improvement for a plastic cover for a runner in my hallway. North Bergen Lowe's is very nice. As always, go in the store for one thing, come out with more than I intend to get. Saw the beautiful flowers, and immediately ran to the garden section. The store had a portable grow room, why did I see that? My mind wandered to, how nice it would be to grow my own green leaf lettuce, and various veggies I use to juice with daily. The service at this store was super fantastic, the staff in the garden center are very helpful. Could not ask for better service. Remembered, I needed to do a wallpaper project so I needed liquid nails, and the caulking gun. Now I'm wandering around the store thinking of all these DIY projects I could be doing, in my mind...(geez) Now onto flooring, as I'm roaming the store. Alexis walks up to me to ask if I needed assistance. Which I thought was extremely kind, and made me want to spend even more. After looking at the AI refrigerators, washer & dryers, I get to flooring, and this Lowe's does not have the plastic cover I need to protect my beautiful zebra print runner. It's in stock at Rutherford. Based off the service, selection, and value, definitely rate this Lowe's 5 stars. I would literally give a negative 10 if I could. So I'd like to know how Lowe's customer service goes thru training. I ordered a same day delivery today and was delivered a SUBWAY SANDWICH at 8am. North Bergen, NJ Lowe's calls me at 2pm to say that the driver made a mistake and picked up the package and will be coming back now. I said, ok. Human error happens. I live 15 minutes away. Flash forward to 4 hours later and I still don't have my package. Not only is it IMPOSSIBLE to directly connect to a store, if you call customer service about they issue, they put you on hold for at least 20 minutes to only come back and tell you that you need to DRIVE to the Lowe's and return the sandwich and get a refund. WHAT?! I still want my package. Then, when I ask to be connected to the store, the woman working says, well, we gave him the package and your address 4 hours ago at 2pm. And when I say that it is still not here and to contact them, SHE HANGS UP ON ME. There is ALWAYS an issue with Lowe's delivery and your customer service! How is this not the store's fault and if there using uber driver's, how would they not have a phone number to contact them?? That is a complete lie. And the fact that the photo that Lowe's texts me is of a sandwich and no one thinks this should be fixed, is madness. read more

I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews. Gave this place a chance to redeem itself, but it again turned out to be a waste of time. Story is similar: items advertised as in stock were not there for purchase. Store was absolutely trashed and looked like it got looted. I had gone to view a handful of doors, blinds, etc. to install in my home. There were no samples available to see. Same with flooring that was advertised as in stock. How can you make a purchase without seeing such important items first? As for the service, they couldn't be bothered aside from acting rudely and inconvenienced. Their response to me: "This is why you have the internet. You don't need to come to a store to pick your items." I guess they don't like selling things. Will never return. A big Lowes with a line at customer service that once they were through a unhappy customer, went much faster. Inside, big store and I wish had a map and a better sense of placement vs what I saw at another store near Morristown. No digital receipts still and no n95 filters for painters masks in stock. Lots of Xmas trees. Some inventory for rakes and cleaning leaves but less than expected versus the electric tool side. Still a good selection of tools upfront that had Dewalt and other brands available. No red. Blue and red sets. read more

Lowe's sends criminals to your home! I ordered a dishwasher from Lowe's, and the installer broke into my home through the back door. He damaged private property, threatened my wife, and refused to leave when she asked him to. He only left when we threatened to call the police. We called Lowe's three times afterward and did not receive a single apology. Instead, they tried to shift the blame onto us. Unbelievable! An incredibly unfriendly company that sends criminals to your home! We are already in contact with our lawyer to take action against Lowe's. I'm still on the phone waiting for a manager. Its my 8th call today from 9:30-12pm, each time i'm put on hold, the longest was 49min, then i was disconnected. Every call the result was i was kept on hold and disconnected. I did speak to someone a couple times and everytime she gave a different excuse as to why no one is picking up, but then she put me back on hold. Loves Lowe's for their return policy almost anything can be refunded or exchanged with receipt within 90 days of the original purchase date. Great deals a floor display bbqs in selected areas. I went to Nyack for a$ 400 Broil bbq and got it for $110 and repaired the handle myself. - like new. And great gardens sales- ask when! read more

The employees that work here are so helpful--specifically Richard. Man, he knows everything to be of great assistance. On one trip, he helped me pick out tile for my foyer after a few options were out of stock. On another occasion, he helped me setup a window measurement and called me afterwards to come in to talk about the quote. Unless you just need to get a screw driver or a lightbulb, I suggest you go elsewhere if you intend to purchase a product that may require customer service. I had purchased a washing machine from Lowes with delivery and installation service. Long story short, the delivery guys who installed my washer left without installing the base cover of the unit. Not only did they not install it, they TOOK the part with them (which was a part of my $800 purchase!), concealing it in the box the washer came in, and took the box with them as they left. And since my washer is in a tight closet, they never thought I'd ever take it out, let alone check the bottom! As you know, or can imagine, customer service here is a nightmare. I got connected with the manager and he agreed to refund me a certain amount back on my cc and that I purchase the part THAT WAS TAKEN FROM ME from the manufacturer. I had ordered the part and installed it but I'm still waiting for my refund, which has been promised to me over 3 weeks ago. PRO TIP: If you do end up purchasing appliance(s) with delivery and set up, watch them carefully (from 6' distance, of course) and either keep the box or examine everything your purchase(s) came in before they leave to make sure nothing is trashed/taken that is rightfully yours. read more

I just left Homedepot to come here. Every Homedepot employees were in twos chatting I left there and came to the Lowes next door. Lowes reps today were fantastic. Came here today looking For a paint. The first person I ask, walked me to the paint sections, asked the lady working at that department about the the paint. She directed me but the gentle man walked there with me to find the paint. The lady later came to join just to make sure that I'm finding the right paint. They both helped me looked for other items that I need to get the paint job done. I was in and out of there in no time. I'm not sure why their rating is low because they are so attentive and helpful. read more

Everyone that works here is rude and should be fired, as well as the Manager as it must be a culture at this store, I cant imagine they just accidently hired the worst employees they could find. I tried to call the flooring dept to try and get a 3 bedroom Coop installed with laminate or engineered hardwood. I was put on hold for over an hour in the 10 times I called in 30 days. One time I put the phone down and it clocked in at 90 minutes. After that they just pick it up and hang up. I tried the Flooring Dept, Pro Desk, Customer Service and same. Guess Ill go to Home Depot. I came to Lowe's after being the victim of being asian during COVID as I was physically threatened at Home Depot. Literally wanted to beat me up because I am Korean and they claimed I brought "China flu" and was purposely spreading it because I asked them to keep 6 feet. Lowe's also always looks emptier so why not try it out, right? I have nothing to lose as my Home Depot experience was so bad, right?? None of the employees know where anything is here. Asked for help but couldn't even get any. They're not rude - either they are incompetent or don't want to walk away from conversation with coworkers to assist a customer. Spent a lot of money on a Maytag washing machine. Delivery was abysmal. After having being forced to purchase the hoses (The old hoses were just working fine), the delivery guys over-stretched the manufacturer supplied exit hose- creating a small hole. They took my old inlet hoses, did NOT hook up the new inlet hoses, and left with the old machine. After starting the machine, the leak was discovered. Took another week before the (manufacturer supplied) exit hose arrived after two separate visits from the tech guys to verify the leak and the need for a replacement. A disaster, as additional time-off work was necessary to facilitate all of these actions. Now to the caveat. The machine is a not working as it should. After one week and three washes, the machine and room smells of burnt machine oil. Lowes does NOT want to exchange or upgrade this unit. We are willing to pay for the delivery. (They would like us to purchase an upgraded service plan however). Customer service is practically 'Non-Existent', and horrible when they are finally present. This is a total garbage machine and service. Don't often write reviews, but feel the need to warn everybody out there that you need to be aware. Stay away. Very unsatisfactory. read more

Terrible. I had a question about an online order and called the store, at which point the associate offered to place my order for me. They didn't stock the dishwasher I wanted, so he placed an order for another. He needed to put me on hold to get me to customer service for payment, but after nearly an hour of waiting, no one was available. He told me the shipment was sent through and to call back in a few days to make payment. Two days later, I called and the order had been deleted. I asked to speak to the manager, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, and still no one answered. I contacted the main service line and they said they couldn't help me and to redo the order, but with a much longer wait for delivery. I'm done with Lowe's. read more

I walked into this massive store this morning at about 11....I asked one of the two employees in the front of the store who were chit chatting with one another where the bulb sockets for rewiring a lamb were.....they looked at one another and pointed to the electric department and offered to page the electric guy. maybe 10 minutes went by and no electric guy........after wandering throughout the department I asked another employee (with long grey hair) if he knew where the sockets were located. He said I am not sure they have moved things around but, let me help you find them.....and so he did. Not only to the one spot where they were but to a second spot. Who ever you are thank you sir. Next I wanted lamp cord. Next I asked a Lisa about the lamp cord and she said i would help. But she deferred to help another until I spoke and said hay you were going to help me.......so she turned and called someone on her pager. Maybe another 5 maybe 10 minutes a fellow showed up and cut me my cord. He also directed me to plugs. And I thank him as well. Next I needed cord. Same fellow told me exactly where i would find it and so it was there. Which btw was in a totally different direction from the first employee. Now you will love this. I go to self checkout because there was not a SINGLE Cashier IN SITE!!!! Are you kidding me. Only another store worker trying hard to help another customer checkout. Clearly he was not a cashier. But wait here she comes the only cashier in the store. I waved but not just I WAVED to her telling her I need help. Guess what.......SHE WAVED BACK AND WALKED AWAY. Another customer in the front of the store yelled out to me "if i didn't see it it would not have believed it. Lastly a young lady comes by and helps me check out.. This store is huge. A joke of a delivery service . Their attempt to schedule a delivery is an automated phone call with an incomplete message. Customer service is non existent. . It was made clear upon the sale to speak to homeowner for availability for delivery. Delivery driver attempted to call the homeowner on his route and received no answer.(who dosen't get 10 car warrantee expired calls a week)? Homeowner comes home from work and finds item on ground floor in a common area. Unknown who signed for it ,I must assume that the company asked a neighbor to sign . Now the item sits in the common area as a fire hazard. They were paid to deliver and install Now the only recourse is to return the item get a full refund and shop elsewhere . URGE CAUTION BUYING MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM LOWES NORTH BERGEN NJ. I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine from this store for delivery/installation today. Bottom line: the driver refused to make the delivery and, after waiting a week, I have no washing machine. The driver arrived (apparently working for XPO as delivery partner for Lowes) and refused to do the installation, saying that his company policy prohibits unstacking the dryer I already had because I hadn't bought it from Lowes. If that's true, the store should have warned me first, but did not. The driver said he could leave the washing machine in my living room while I found someone else to install it and remove the old machine. After I spoke to his manager, I said yes please just leave the washing machine. The driver then said no he's he's just leaving. Then he left WITHOUT DELIVERING THE WASHING MACHINE. I asked him repeatedly to bring it to me, but he would not. I promptly ordered the same unit from PC Richard, explaining in detail what happened and making sure they could perform installation and haul-away even with a stacked dryer I bought from someone else. They said of course and were surprised the Lowes' behavior. I ordered 17-cu ft Frost-free Convertible Upright Freezer/Refrigerator ENERGY STAR from N. Bergen, NJ. They delivered it on 6/29 and it came defective with E6 error (which has to do something with sensor), i told them right away that refrigerator is defective, but they tried to convince me that it's okay and i should give it to work for 48h. Contacted Midea (maker of refrigerator) and they told me it's an error and i need to return it, it's something that cant be fixed from home. Called Lowe's again and told them about issue, so i asked them if they could just swap this defective refrigerator with the one that works, their answer was that that's not possible and i need to purchase new refrigerator and they will refund me money for defective one after they pick it up. So, it's been 3 weeks that i've been with them on the phone trying to schedule pick up, they would 'schedule' pick up for 7/6 no one showed up, called again, they scheduled it for 7/13 no one showed up again then they scheduled for 7/20 and i'm finding out that it's not scheduled again. They keep transferring me to different Lowe's stores in NJ and telling me that purchase wasn't made in. Bergen but in different stores, different stores would return me to Bergen store in NJ and i'm having this nightmare for almost a month yet no on is helping and they have my money. When they pick up the phone they would put me on hold and hang up and it's been never ending story. These people should be fired - they do not know how to do their job and i hate to say this but i won't purchase 1 single screw from this store, they are hell on earth. I kept taking days off from work ( no one will reimbursed me for those days) yet they never came to pick up defective refrigerator. Long story short: DO NOT USE LOWE'S for buying your home appliances. You deserve so much better especially if you spend nearly $2000. They will not care about you at all once you purchased stuff. Please don't waste your time and go to home depot or BestBuy. I ordered a washer and a dryer online and I used to buy a lot of stuff from the North bergen store for the remodeling job. The delivery guy called me that he can't install them because my fridge is on the way and I didn't buy a prong(dryer specialized electric cord). This guy was very rude and left the new appliances uninstalled and never came back with any follow-ups. I went to the customer support at the N.Bergen store twice and called the store number multiples times for rescheduling an installation service but literally no one helped me. All of the people that I've met told me it's not our job, we don't do that, go to the appliances dept, no you should go talk to C/S, let me transfer you to another person, I don't handle appliances, etc. At last, I was the one who installed a washer/dryer by watching a youtube video. I got so mad and posted a review on lowe's product page and it did not show up yet. My payments at lowe's include haul away AND the installation! I was surprised that they are very good at organizing stores but cannot even do a single job which is to make an appointment for home appliance installation. My husband went to purchase carpet fro Lowe's North Bergen NJ store. He asked for a loader. Once the loader went to meet my husband and my husband asked if he is helping him. The older gentlemen (loader) started laughing and said he had a bad back. The gesture was so rude , disrespectful and un professional. He he had a bad back, why was he working.
