Lowe's has lost me forever. Oversold on a sale item, then waited until 5 min before the close of the delivery window 3 days later to call me to tell me they were out of stock of the item. Bought a grill here and payed for them to assemble it. They said it would take 2 days. I called every day after the 2 days to see if it was ready, it took ten days before I went in to talk to the manager. They then "took another look" and voila! It was there, and they said it had been done for several days. That along the fact that they have the shittiest card readers I have ever seen, and they refuse to enter my card manually, then tell me that "the problem is on your end" makes me beyond frustrated! I just spent an hour shopping for my home projects and now they refuse to take my payment. I went to home depot, got everything I needed and checked out with the same credit card and had ZERO problems. For a company that sells to people that are handy, to people that fix problems literally for a living, you guys have seemingly endless problems that you are simply ignoring, and blaming on the people that want to give you money. read more

My husband and I are finishing our basement this weekend and have been frequenting home improvement stores a lot lately. We visited the Northglenn store 5pm on 2/8/19 and had an excellent experience. Rocky in the lumber department helped us the entire time we were there and went above and beyond helping my husband pick through each pile of lumber to get the good pieces. Rocky was extremely knowledgeable and answered every one of our questions in detail. I wanted to talk about one employee there. Frank in the tool department is amazing. I cannot tell you how many times my husband has sent me alone to pick up things that I had no clue about. Every time I'd just get lucky and Frank would be working that day. He is always so helpful, kind and most of all just a genuine person. He never made me feel less than for not knowing exactly what I needed and always asked the right questions. I know it's silly to feel so blessed to walk into a store and see one particular persons face but that's the way I feel about Frank. My husband who refuses to talk to anyone at the Lowe's store because he says "I know more than they do about all this stuff", will without a problem ask Frank for help without an issue because he is knowledgeable. I was just at this location. I walked all the aisles trying to find someone to help me on plumbing. 5 minutes went by and I finally find someone who said they would call someone to help me. 5 more minutes went by with no one and then I asked another guy to get me help. After 15 minutes I went to the service counter and told the manager what happened. All of a sudden they wanted to help me. I live right next to the lowes, but will now drive past them and go to home depot..... By the way, went to home depot on grant street and three employees engaged with me to help get my questions answered in the first 7 minutes. This store used to be a nice place to shop for home improvement supplies, but lately their customer service has really gone downhill. They close the self-service checkout too early and let too many people go home early. It seems like many of the employees are merely putting in their time with little regard for the customer. Their product selection is far more limited than other Lowe's Home Improvement locations that are larger. I still use them for quick trips, but it is seeming more and more like the employees are upset when customers actually show up. I rarely see any of the same employees that I did a few years ago. Perhaps that speaks to a systemic problem within the store. Hopefully things will turn around at this location because it is a convenient location for my home improvement needs. read more

Scheduled a flooring estimate and received confirmation for an 8am-12noon window. I took the day off work to be available. 12:20 rolls around, I call customer service to find out if someone is on their way. Customer service puts me on hold for over 1/2 an hour. They can see the appointment in the schedule, but no one has been dispatched on it. Suddenly this becomes MY problem. No one ever apologized or tried to explain how they could resolve the issue. The situation did not inspire much confidence for me to do business with them. They were glad for it. They really didn't care much to help or reschedule or offer any kind of acknowledgement about the issue. When I said it would be difficult for me to reschedule, I was told to "Have a Good Day" and promptly disconnected. What kind of business can turn away a $30K + job without even so much as a "Sorry" or even a half-assed attempt at trying to make things right? Forget you Lowe's. You don't deserve the business of this community. read more

I use Lowe's a lot for home improvement supplies. This building seemed to have some service issues. I stood around trying to find someone to help me get a key made. When i finally saw someone she said she would get someone to help me. They disappeared and i never saw anyone. I grabbed another lady and she help make my key. We had a great conversation about how she hates Mondays and doesn't want to be there which made two of us. I will be coming back to Lowe's in the future but it won't be to this one. EDIT: Lowe's is coming around on me, we bought a washer and the process was smooth. They took away the old one for free and installed the new one. Process took a little bit and it took a bit of time to get someone to help us purchase the washer but all in all a good experience read more

Service no longer exists here. Stopped in for $750 worth of paint and practically had to beg for assistance. I asked the older guy in the paint department which five gallon had the online rebate.... Instead of helping me he said he had been off for 3 days and had no idea what was on the ad. I guess I insulted him when I asked him to find an ad for me to confirm. Turns out no one could find an ad and thought standing around doing nothing made more sense then looking it up online on the computer they were standing in front of. Verdict 4 store employees preferred to stand around than assist me so off I went to the overstaffed and very friendly Home Depot down the street to spend $750 on paint. You can guess which store will get the cabinet and appliance order next week! The management at that store needs to be fired and the entire staff retrained. Well, compared to other Lowe's locations this one has to be the most un-friendly. At other Lowe's you can't walk by an employee w/o them asking to help you, here it is opposite, they act like dang robots. We recently bought a new fridge from this location and had it delivered and the installers were the most boring people ever, they said not a word, and I called them out on it, and they just laughed it off, but did they not know I was being serious...? I can't say it for all of them - one guy that talks quiet with glasses in the HW section is pretty good..but the rest - ehhhh. We were looking for help one morning and my wife said "excuse me" down the aisle and the "associate" dropped what he was unpacking on the floor and said "What?!". I also enjoy when you need help you are staring at three "associates" whom are talking to each other and laughing (not working) and you have to wait until their enjoyable conversation is done so you can continue to utterly ruin their lives. Absolutely rude store manager, Ken Ziggler. Would not return/exchange item, which had a receipt with it, we would have been happy with a store credit, as we were there to get supplies to plant our garden. He would not work with us at all, and would not even let us speak he just kept saying "sir, I said the answer is no" over us (I'm guessing, because he acted as if, he were an ex-cop, prob "let go" for being too intimidating needlessly) there is no reason to treat people that way. Too bad, we kept the $25 exchange and went across the street to Home Depot to make our $300 garden purchase. Will NEVER go back. As my wife will attest, I am terrible at finding things. Went to Lowes for some crazy reason, looking for a silverware dishwasher tray. Like dopes, my 7 yr old son and I stood in the appliance section for 15 mins waiting for help. No one bothered, so I stood in line at customer service for another 5 and asked if I could get some assistance. She said she would call for help, which she did. Don't buy anything and have it delivered. You won't get them. I bough a refrigerator there and set a date for delivery and on the delivery day 30mins before set time get a call saying my refrigerator didn't make it on the truck (waste of my day #1), set other date which was three days after. 1 hours before the delivery time got a call saying the refrigerator I order was not here yet because they couldn't fine the same model I paid for and it'll take about 2-3 week to place an order in and have to their location and from that it'll take other 3 day to delivery it yo my house (waste of my day #2). So don't go there, they won't deliver it. Go to Best Buy. I got tried of waiting, so I told they fuck your guys and give me my money back. I'll take my money and go across the street to Best Buy. I like Lowe's they have a large selection and there is always something that you can find on sale or clearance. This one is a large store with lots of different options and lots of different selections of paint, blinds, flooring, ect. Contemplating canceling my Lowes Business card after a humiliating experience with customer service agent Barbara today. I rented a vacuum from a different agent yesterday, who pointed to the brush alongside the vacuum and the dirty water tank and told me I needed to return the vacuum with those parts cleaned. I did, but the agent today told me I needed to clean the bottom of the vacuum also or pay a fee. This is now the 5th time my brother and I have had issues with your garden department. Everytime I use the garden dept I cannot find a cart or get any help to find one. When approaching the cashiers they are in a huddle bitching about working (again not the first time) and they turn their back on us when we try and get help from them. So we walk out and go to Home Depot where they want our money. Today my brother left then came right back to customer service and got blown off there due to the fact the computer was more important than the customer, then the dude working there said I know what you mean and did not offer to help. Your carts are always full so the customer has nothing or we are told ti gi find one ourselves. Again never happens to us a Home Depot. So disappointed in Lowes customer service and their installation department. I wanted to replace and ancient water hog toilet, so when it broke, I saw my chance. Due to a horrible experience with a shed at Home Depot, I switched to Lowes for home improvement and repair projects. Not any more! I went to the store and had to have a clerk run down to help me. I purchased the toilet and the installation. (Please keep in mind, the toilet is broken) I was told the installer has "48 hours to contact you not counting today." So I am supposed to receive a call to schedule installation by Friday, after purchasing on Wednesday. Friday I get a call, they won't be able to do install for another 2 weeks. They gave the order to another installer, who will call to schedule the installation Monday. Just schedule the install, not actually install it. So call a handyman, they are usually sole proprietors and do a better job, as their reputation and continued work depends on it. By the way, the handyman will pick it up and be here to install on Monday morning at 8 am. Can't wait to call Tammy in Lowe's installations and ask for the installation refund! read more

Ordered an above microwave to be installed for 2 residences. The one close by, no issues in getting an install date. The install in Boulder has been difficult. The install sales dept called and left a message to call her back. We called the same day and she had already left for the day. Called on Sunday, she was not in. Called all day Monday, no answer at all. No one picked up at the store. We will be canceling the order if no call back soon. The sales person was very helpful, and we have had things delivered by this store before without issue. This has been a nightmare. read more

I was behind the store picking up their cardboard bails. I was on my forklift loading my trailer. A guy pulled up acting really put out that I was loading my truck. He stopped while on his phone and tried to tell me that behind the store is a public road and not a loading area. He informed me he was the store manager and I told him I was loading the bails and that this is a loading zone. I did have my Bluetooth head set on but was not talking. He started telling me I should not be on my phone as he is on his. I totally understand all the 1 star reviews. I get it. It was Friday and everyone wants to get home. I want to get off work and get home my self. However, I will not be rushed or compromise safety because the "store manager" is driving behind the store to avoid the traffic out front. Within twelve months I've had to use this retail outlet for replacement of my water heater and my refrigerator. Both times I've found adequate replacement devices at reasonable costs, with efficient delivery service bringing these items to my home. I, too, am quite disappointed in the customer service at Lowe's. I came in to buy some lawn mower parts on Sat. 6/16/18 and there was no one available to help me. I couldn't even find the lawn mowers, they are not placed in a logical area where other outdoor tools are. I waited and walked all around looking for a store employee. Finally there was one woman I asked but she said she was busy and would help me as soon as she was finished with the person she was helping. I stayed nearby so I could get that help and then a man came up to her as she was finishing up with the customer and instead of helping me she helped him. Finally I found someone else to help me. Then I was going out the lawn and garden exit and waiting in line there a very long time because one of the two checkouts was stopped because her customer had gone off to get something in mid-checkout. When it was my turn, the young cashier didn't greet me at all. She just checked out my items and handed me my receipt without a single word of "hello" or "thank you." I looked at her name tag and said, "Alexa, customers like to be greeted and thanked when they come to your store." She looked blankly at me and said, "Hi." I waited and said, "And..." She said "Thank you." I said, "You should always greet every customer, and thank them. Older people like that." Not another word from her. read more

Went in to use a gift card that was purchased on line.$25.00. They accused me of it being a fraudulent gift card . Said they couldn't key the number into the register. If you buy a gift card online or receive one , it comes to your email with the number and a PIN number. Amber the manager would not accept it. Finally another manager accepted it and guess what they keyed it in . Be careful of purchasing gift cards for family or friends. They won't be able to use it according to Amber because her district manager told her she couldn't. I think lowes is fraudulent. Taking your money for gift cards and not accepting them. I wasted a whole day and then the delivery team refused to deliver because I had a chair lift. We talked to the salesman about it He told us no problem. We had him put it in notes for delivery I told him I don't want them to show up and there be a problem. You would think the delivery would have read the note and notified us. Monday they called and didn't say there was a problem just confirmed delivery time. Bought 3 Pella sliding doors from Lowes, just needed a replacement panel for one, was shuffled around for about 2 months and was finally quoted 3 times as much for the one panel than the whole door. Don't sell a product you cant or aren't willing to back up Lowes. Yesterday we went to Lowes in Northglenn to purchase a dishwasher that said was in stock at this store. My husband was told by a woman in appliances that they had one but someone would have to get it off the high shelf in the back. After waiting 30 minutes it finally arrived. My husband paid for it and only as he had paid, he was told by the sales person that it wasn't exactly what we had wanted-it was stainless steel but was $100 cheaper because of that. It was a total fabrication by her because we got home with it only to find it wasn't the model we wanted! My husband goes back this morning and speaks to a manager and we expected more than a slight apology for all our trouble. The least they could have done is offered us a larger discount or something else--but they didn't offer anything. We had to return the wrong dishwasher to the Louisville Lowes and pick up the correct one after having to do paperwork five times! I will never buy another appliance from Lowes!!! Purchased a garage door opener for my single car garage. Spent a good amount of time with sales rep to ensure I got what I need. Things starting to go down as soon as the "Lowes contractor" showed up. He was belligerent and condescending with any question I presented. After 2 minutes he turned around and stated I do not have what is needed to install the garage door and need a $50 kit (after spending $350 for hardware and installation), turned around and left. I am returning everything back to Lowes and going with Home Depot. Do not ordered counter tops here! Ordered 3 counter tops and was told it would take 5 weeks to get them. After 5 weeks I called to ask where my counter tops were and was told (lied to) that it would be 6 more days. 2 days after I called them, Lowes called me to tell me that the counter tops I ordered are no longer being made by manufacturer. They should have told me this the day I ordered them. If that was not bad enough I charged them on my Lowes card and had already paid the account in full so I went in to Lowes to ask for a refund and nobody in the place had a clue as to what to do. When a "manager" (don't think he was manager) finally showed up he said I could not get my money back and that it had to go back on Lowes card meaning I would have huge credit balance that would take me 2-4 weeks to get a check from Lowes credit. Also worth noting when the so called manager was speaking with me he kept checking messages etc on his phone, he couldn't even give me a few minutes of attention to resolve a situation that was entirely Lowes screw up from start to finish. read more
