I bought a beautiful Frigidaire range with warnings saying the anti-tip bracket must be installed. the guys who installed it didn't mention that or make an attempt to inform me about it or install it. I called the store which took more than one phone call and waited more than an hour. Finally was told that they don't install the bracket unless the homeowner requests. I could not request what I didn't know about, but then I read the info on the range and googled anti-tip brackets, and learned that it should be installed. This was supposed to happen since the 1990s. Finally, guys came out to install it and didn't seem to know how. Telling me they had to drill the floor (which may be cement... I'm not sure and not sure if that matters) ...and really not seeming to know what they were doing. The directions clearly say it can be bolted to the wall and I asked them about that and they shook their heads and again, didn't seem to know what they were doing. So I let them go. I am very frustrated with lowes and poor customer service and poor installation experience. I have a call into Lowes Corporate. I will update this if anything changes. read more

Customer service was a joke. Waited in line to pick up an online order, only to have the representative literally walk away after asking what we needed. It wasn't done in a rude way, rather, in a very distracted and unorganized way. We finally decided to ask if we could just go find the items we ordered ourselves, as we feared that we would be waiting an additional 15 or so minutes just to get a straight answer/attention. This location is fine. It's clean and on par with every other location I've been to in that respect, but, their customer service is very poor. They really need to figure it out and not leave customers sitting in limbo, twiddling their thumbs. read more

Update: Absolute disaster. They send the wrong shades with the wrong measurements. If you don't mind wasting hours of your life driving to the store because nobody picks up the phone, or taking days off of work to have them install the wrong product...go to Lowes in Norwalk. Went to the store and ordered a lot of window shades. They said we would get a call within 24hrs to have someone come out and measure the windows. It's been 2 weeks...no call. I tried calling 7 times to get a hold of someone in the shades department...after ringing 20+ times someone just hangs up on you. So I called for the manager (3 times), same thing...rings forever then someone just hangs up. Looks like I'm telling my credit card to cancel the order and going somewhere else. I will not be returning here for any of the other big home renovation projects we have lined up. Home Depot here we come. read more

Did a rental of a carpet cleaner at about 1:30.pm on a Saturday The cleaner was dirty and was leaving dirt on my carpet I called the store at 4pm to express that and they said it was probably brought in dirty and I can return for another. Got there at about 6pm. The cashier showed me where to look to see if it's clean when renting the cleaner. The next one she gave to me was also dirty ,she took the dirt out and she apologize, I then said no Thank you I won't be using the rental service. I was not given a refund or a partial refund. I was told since it was for a period time 24hrs they would not. I was very disappointed with that Lowe's experience and the marks left on my carpet from the dirty cleaner. This store deserves zero stars. There cannot possibly be a store in the U.S. that provides worse customer service than Lowes of Norwalk. No one in the store, including assistant store managers, gives a crap about the customer. Once they have your money, you will be ignored. I purchased a major home appliance that arrived damaged right out of the box. I agreed to accept the delivery based on Lowes' assurance that the problem would be quickly remedied. WRONG. I had a horrible experience with this store! I ordered fencing waited a month and was delivered damaged and wrong items. They came and picked up those items so I reordered the parts I needed. Waited another month and was told the items would be delivered Sunday. It was canceled for Sunday and was set to be delivered the next day. Guess what?? It was canceled again. Now it has been over two months and I am still waiting. Everything I have ordered from this store has been damaged or had missing pieces. I'm done with Lowe's! I needed to buy some wood and have it cut which I have done many times at Princeton Lowe's. I called first to make sure that they had someone there to do the cutting. Several times I tried to call them and finally, someone picked up but then put me on hold for 20 minutes. Well, the store is only five minutes from my house so I jumped in my car and headed over. I parked near the lumber area and began to enter the store - when suddenly I fall off the curb and onto my shoulder. A couple of customers helped me up along with a Pro agent, Chris, who help me inside the store. I explained to him that I think I injured my shoulder and was not able to extend my forearm. I asked to speak to a manager. A pro-service specialist, John Underwood, came over to me and said he would look for a manager but didn't find one. But he brought me back an icepack that never got cold. I said that I needed to see a manager again, and he said he was a supervisor. Not sure that he was because his business card did not say that. After all that no one asked if I wanted to sit down, or if I needed medical attention. I could barely drive home. My left arm and wrist were in so much pain when I got home I iced my arm. What is aggravating to me is that if they had just picked up the phone I would have found out that they did not have what I needed and I wouldn't have gone. read more

Don't ever special order a fence from them. Online or from this location. All orders are shipped to the store then delivered to the consumer. Dealing with corporate/online CS, they are unable to contact the store for answers. I've had delivery no shows and when one delivery occurred 4 weeks after original delivery date they dropped off 1 of 3 pallets. The company believed they have made the delivery in full until I called. Every time I call the person answering can see the previous persons notes. They take good notes but that's all they do. Nothing ever happens. I'm told the the store is supposed to respond within 24 hours and they don't. After 6 weeks and a number of calls to them I finally receive a call back. I've had to miss a day of work and with the number of hours spent figuring this all out I would have saved myself time/money to of had them do the install. read more

Worst experience ever with no end in sight. Non existent customer service. Completely unresponsive whether at the level of the store or the corporate CS reps. I ordered a refrigerator in store and scheduled delivery for November 19. Awaited the delivery truck and indicated he use the side entrance. He said "ma'am, I've got a tractor here." A what? I ordered a refrigerator and some genius at the Norwalk store loaded a tractor on the delivery truck. When I called the store to demand that I get my refrigerator delivered on time, they sent a team of two with no skills and no equipment. They had no tarps or cardboard to protect my hardwood and stone floors. And they were told before they entered that they had to mind the floors. My stone floors have multiple gashes and scratches as a result. They couldn't fit the refrigerator in my utility room and had NO CLUE that they could remove the refrigerator doors to facilitate delivery. My boyfriend had to use our tools to remove the utility room door to help them out. They didn't complete the delivery and left most of the shipping materials on the fridge. They didn't even bother to plug the thing in. Since the 19th I've been trying to get in touch with Lowe's regarding damages and repairs. After many phone calls (endless holds and disconnections) and several attempts to contact customer service online, I'm afraid it may be time to hire a lawyer. Eleven days is long enough for Lowe's to have a sense of urgency here. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. read more

I have been frantically searching for a 1632 car key battery for the key fob which needs replacing. Went to 2 CVS stores, Shoprite, Stop and Shop, Home Depot..no luck. Went to Norwalk Lowes, and an employee Pastha looked all over, we found one not the exact size and # and she walked me out to my car after inserting one similar to see if it would work. That was above and beyond what any employee has ever done. She suggested I go on line and order one and took the battery back w no charge. Lowes is a clean, well designed store. From now on, it will be my go to for everything. The employees are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and she needs recognition. I may have spelled her name incorrectly, but hope the management will acknowledge her superior service. read more

If I could give this location NO stars, I would. Beyond horrible customer service. It is close to impossible to get a hold of anyone in customer service or the shipping department. I have now waited a MONTH and a half for my shipment to arrive from this location. I've received 3 different delivery dates/times, all of which never came. After hours spent on the phone, I finally found out my item was damaged and that they were now all out of stock. I would have never known this information if I hadn't called back a million times. I am now canceling my order because no one was of ANY help. No one, not even the manager, offered any sort of compensation or refund for this God awful experience. Recently visited Lowes on Connecticut AV. Twice this week. The first visit, I needed help with some pluming stuff I called someone to help me and he said he didn't know anything about that department he called someone to help I waited 10 min then decided to leave no one ever came. 2nd visit Saturday I went to get some other parts to finish my plumbing project and there was at least 4 employees working near the area... They were so loud laughing, joking around being silly NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL... No idea how the manager is handling this store. Most employees there even on registers are very non professional what a shame I had high hopes that this store was going to be better than Home Depot... I usually go to Lowe's in Milford way better than this store. What a shame! read more

So I decided to call in and make sure they DID have the item I really need before I take a long trip down there and the person who answered was very rude. She couldn't understand me the first time so I repeated myself louder and she goes "nah I can't hear this-" very rudely and passed the phone to someone else. Then when I ask the other girl the same question she says "well if we were to have it, it would be In _____" And as I go "is there anyone who would be able to check for me" she hangs up. Lowe's is generally a cleaner, brighter, and happier shopping experience than Home Depot. Though the Norwalk Lowe's is all of those things it is also more expensive and the customer service is generally worse than Home Depot (which is hard to believe as I wouldn't give Home Depot a very good customer service rating either). The employees are all very nice but seem very lacking in training. The one exception is the kitchen cabinet department. My experience with Bob was highly satisfactory and I would definitely recommend working with him on your next kitchen. Bob is the reason I gave this store 2 stars instead of just one. Don't bother ordering truck delivery from this store. The Lowe's website says you could get your order in 1 day. I spoke to a customer service person on the corporate 800 number and she said 1 to 2 days. The local customer service person at the Norwalk store wanted me to wait 11 days. Then I got them to agree to 3 days. I called back and they said a mistake was made and now it was going to be 4 days. After my fourth call, I found out the truck was broken down and it was now going to be 5 days. I don't hold out much hope that I'll ever get my order. read more

I was so excited when they first opened near my house. But every time I go there I can't find anyone to help me or they have no knowledge of the area they are in. But today was the worst I went in to purchase a dishwasher and have it delivered and installed. After waiting over an hour for the appliance sales person to make an appearance (i.e. Show his face). and this was after requesting two pages and calling the store from my cell phone to speak to a store manager who never answered his phone. The guy shows up and he's rude to me acting as though I have inconvenienced him. Then halfway through helping me he stopped to help someone else who he apparently knows and I wait another 10 to 15 minutes. Finally I decided to leave. I would rather pay more to purchase from an appliance store then to give Lowe's my business ever again!!!!! read more

The state suspended the bag tax because bags now have germs but at Lowe's they don't have bags unless you buy one. Don't go here at all. From the in store ordering of a refrigerator, microwave and stove to the delivery of these items, we have had the most frustrating experience. I'll focus on the delivery in this review. After a 9:30-11:30 am window for delivery, the truck showed up at 2pm. The refrigerator was badly damaged on three sides, the oven was missing a piece and the microwave was nowhere to be found. The delivery crew left the stove and told us we could order a replacement part. They took back the refrigerator. We tried calling Lowe's in Norwalk where we purchased the appliances, but we no one will answer in their appliance department. We are now headed back to the store to see how this can be rectified. read more

Went to Lowes in Norwalk to get pencil trims for my ceramic tile. On the internet it said there was 26 of these pencil trims available. I drove 21 miles only to find out that they were not there. The staff could not find them anywhere. Apparently misplaced???? Nobody knows. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. We bought 10 - yes, that is TEN Levolor blinds from them less than six months ago and one of the blinds has a defective button that prevents the blind from going up. I asked them if they would kindly exchange that one blind for another, not even asking my money back and you guessed it... the answer was NO. Its over the 3 month return period they said. I explained that I didn't change my mind. I have a DEFECTIVE product on hand and just want want that actually works. Nope, they just wouldn't budge. They've now lost all my business. I'm giving this Lowe's one star. If I could give it zero stars I would. The store itself is nice and clean. Very well setup. The reason why I'm giving one star is the customer service. Which is basically nonexistent. I have been to this location four times and every time I have to search high and low for assistance. And when I do find someone to point me in the direction of what I'm looking for I always get sent to the wrong aisle and then have to track down the employee again!!!! I'm done. There is a Home Depot about a mile down the road that I'll be going to from now on. It's a shame though, because the store itself is very nice, but the customer service sucks. read more

DECEPTIVE AND FRAUDULENT COMPANY CAUSED MAJOR WATER DAMAGE Lowes delivery service called to say they would deliver and install my refrigerator on 7/4/17 - they never showed up and I missed spending the entire holiday with my family for a refrigerator that was never even on the truck - but that isn't the worst part - it's tame compared to the horror that came next. Lowes finally came and installed the refrigerator in my home on 7/6/17. They transferred and connected the water line (for the water dispenser) from the old fridge to the new fridge and shoved it back into the wall WITHOUT EVER TURNING OFF THE WATER or testing the connection. My family left to visit my sick mother for the week and we came back to a flooded house. I didn't understand what had happened until I pulled the refrigerator away from the wall and cabinets to find water spaying out of the back of the fridge. Mold was growing. Over 300 sq ft of my home is unusable. Portions of walls have been removed. Entire flooring is destroyed and had to be removed. Over $10,000 in damage. As of today 8/10/17, Lowes will not provide any compensation or remedial action. In fact Lowes states "it's not our responsibility" and "it's out of our hands" because Lowes delivery service is not actually Lowes delivery service as advertised on Lowes website. Its a concealed myriad of third party subcontractors that is not accountable to Lowes or its customers. And Lowes accepts ZERO responsibility for these subcontractors. read more
