I've been in the store many times, and purchased a variety of products. They have a great selection! Some items are priced very reasonably, some lower than competitors, and so much higher. Rob in appliances answered and went above and beyond to help me find something that fit my space, was in my price range, and was in stock so I could get it the next day. I can't thank him enough for saving my Thanksgiving holiday (I was expecting 19 people and had to have a fridge ASAP). He even called me the next day to ensure I'd been able to arrange to get it to my home. That's great customer service! read more

This store should absolutely get out of the carpet business. Dealing with this store has been a shit show. They sent the wrong carpet with the installer that was an hour late. Then couldn't manage to order the right carpet again. They are utterly clueless. The manager didn't help at all. Useless. Calling corporate. You could improve by doing nothing. read more

The Snapshot: Lack of customer service, lack of knowledgeable employees, & lacking is an overall 'pride in work' vibe in the whole store. We do not go to Lowe's often however we have been replacing windows in our home and they offer the ones we need. We have never been called to be notified that our window was in so we call about a week later and check every other day to see if it's arrived. Today we were informed our window had arrived and was ready for pick up. We asked them to pull it to the front since it's a custom order and it's all paid for. We would park in the loading bay. When we arrived an hour and a half later, the window was still not ready. Instead of looking up the order to make sure they pick the right one from the warehouse and get it up to us. They spent a handful of minutes trying to determine who we spoke with so they knew who to blame. We pulled up the order and they told us if it was easily accessible in the warehouse, it shouldn't be more than 10 minutes. However, if it's not easily accessible then it could take a while. While we waited, other patrons came in and we observed this woman with a newborn at the paint center. With nobody there to assist her she asked the customer service desk if they could page somebody to help. I don't know how often those pages go off, but we heard it more than 15 times before she got assistance. This store is a joke. read more

We purchased a grill on Memorial Day. It was to be delivered on May 30th. We found out it was sometime during the afternoon when a neighbor told us. I work from home so was home all day as was husband home all day. May 30th was a very rainy day. We did get the grill moved through the garage lifting up 3 stairs, through the laundry room, kitchen and dining area then out to the deck. The same we would have had the delivery people do if they would have come to the door. so instead of letting us know they were there, in the rain we moved the grill, me with my bad back and husband who is recovering from knee surgery. You cannot call Lowes as your are put on forever hold. Went to the store on 147th & Maple in Omaha. the person was very pleasant and understood the frustration. Asked if she could speak with senior management and get back with us on Monday. On Tuesday, Sam called and said it was not their store that did the delivery and said he needed to contact the other store to hear their side. It is now June 22nd and have not heard back, have not received an apology or offer any kind of discount, if only minimal. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in Lowes and it will be a long time before shop there again. Due to our ages and health we wanted the delivery. I have had a varied experience as a middle aged+ woman shopping for lumber, power tools and hardware at big box stores but I have ALWAYS had a positive customer service experience at Lowe's. When I have a project that requires board cutting I know it will be cut to my specifications with a smile and attention to detail. At my most recent visit I had a custom color mixed for stain, a board cut and needed help locating a specific black wood screw. All of the tasks were checked off my list and the longest wait was in the check out line. There are other stores that are less expensive, but I always get my questions answered and the help I need at Lowe's. COVID-19 restrictions are being enforced with a mask required, distancing marked at checkout and hand sanitizer available. read more

As soon as I walked in, two employees greeted me, and one asked me if I needed any help. I think his name was Rob. I asked where aisle 30 was and if it was far (because my leg is injured and walking is difficult). Rob immediately offered to get an electric scooter for me to sit in, while he pushed my cart for me and did all my shopping for me! He loaded my cart, answered my questions, checked me out, and even pushed my cart to my car. He was very patient with me, and he saved me from having to walk around the big store. Sit down, my children and let me tell you the story of the Lowe's installation saga. This is long, you have been warned, but also entertaining. My wife and MiL (mother in law) spent about 6 hours on Saturday shopping for a new fridge and a new stove. Finally settled on the ones they wanted and paid for the items + the removal and installation. I'm not privy to the details but I'm ballparking around $4k. Time of delivery was "between 8am and 8pm", kind of a big gap when you're talking about moving perishables from one fridge to a cooler and into the new fridge. So here comes Monday morning. Wife is informed the delivery will be there between 1pm-5pm. Sweet. At 10am, she gets a call saying they will be there in the next 30 minutes. Queue wife frantically trying to empty a fridge that wasn't supposed to be emptied till 3 hours from now. Delivery / install guys show up. Unload the stove and the new fridge onto the ground. Install guy comes inside and says we need to check the water line, if the water line isn't disconnected we cannot install the new fridge because of liability issues. Ignores everything and pulls the still half full fridge (the one my wife is trying to empty on 30 minutes notice) away from the wall and is like "oh look, there's a water line we can't do anything." And proceeds to tell us we might need to redo our entire water system to include a new water line. My wife points out the water line is inactive, and I can go down and disconnect it in a second. So I grab a gerber tool, run downstairs and disconnect it. Problem solved right? No. Apparently during the 3 minutes it took me to disconnect the water line, the installer was like "Well, do you want me to just leave the fridge and the stove on the driveway so you can install it yourself?" And my wife was like "Wtf no, my husband is disconnecting the water line right now from the fridge and why would you not do anything about the stove?" I come back upstairs, water line disconnected, and they are loading the new stove and fridge and fridge back onto the truck. So I'm like hey, water line disconnected, you're good to go to install both. One of the guys is like cool, I'll let the driver know. Guess what happened? THEY DROVE OFF. We called Lowes and guess what? It's a 3rd party contractor so maybe they will come back, or maybe the items will be at the store after 8pm. read more

I went to this Lowe's a month ago to pick up lights for our new house. Of course they didn't have one of the lights that we wanted, but that isn't Lowe's fault. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to give information out. The cashier was also nice and approachable. All in all, Lowe's has a great selection and sometimes have decent sales. Just wanted to share a very bad experience I had at the NW Omaha Lowe's tonight. My husband and I do a lot of home DIY projects. Generally we have preferred to start our shopping at Lowe's, then swing by Home Depot if we strike out. In the last two years we've probably spent close to $5,000 at Lowe's alone. One of the reasons I liked Lowe's was that they are dog friendly. If you're a pet owner, you know how convenient and helpful it is to be able to bring your dog in rather than leave him in the car on a hot day when it can be dangerous. Tonight we brought our 2 year old lab/pit mix to the store with us as we are renovating our guest bath and needed some items. He's very well-behaved and we constantly get compliments on how sweet and fun he is. We called an associate over to answer a question about a hardware product. He clearly saw our dog and walked on over. As he approached, my pup got excited and started wagging his tail and walked up to the associate. Mind you, I had him on a short (4 foot) leash with a traffic loop that keeps him at 2 feet, so he wasn't really going to get that close. The associate backed away and said, "keep your dog away from me." I understand that not everyone is a dog person, so I immediately took several steps backwards. As he approached again to talk to my husband, my dog got happy and started towards the associate again. This time the associate raised his voice and said, "you gotta get your dog outta here, I'm not gonna get f***ing bitten." Our dog is part of our family and this was extremely upsetting for me to hear. I teared up as we walked away. I totally understand if you're not a pet person. But all he would have had to say as he approached us to start with would have been something like, "dogs make me uncomfortable, would you please move down the aisle a bit?" The other confusing thing was that, not 2 minutes prior to this, another associate a few aisles over was petting and enjoying our dog. So clearly it wasn't our dog's behavior that was any sort of issue. This guy just handled the situation very badly. I certainly didn't feel like a welcome customer. I'm disappointed that Lowe's didn't train their employees on how to handle a situation like this. Lowe's advertises that that are dog friendly, but this was clearly not the case tonight. Again, the whole incident could have been avoided if he had communicated and not had with a bad attitude. And now I'm really doubting whether I'll go back. read more

First was Rubin in plumbing, helped me w drip irrigation without me looking for someoneNext was Brian, maybe a supervisor but he was bringing in carts and my receipt blew off to the East towards him & I yelled ' hey grab that will you?' The wind was atrocious and it went clear across the parking lot. I yelled @ him twice to 'forget it, it's Okay' and he kept running clear across the lot & got it!! I have frequently used Lowes for multiple projects. On 9/20/22 Lowes cashed my check for over $16,000 to install 2 French doors. The doors were installed 2/1/23. On 2/7 I notified Lowe's that wind was pouting thru the door upstairs. On 2/9 installer returned and said needed to order materials. I went to pick up the materials as requested and no one at the store knew what I was talking about. Three more times materials were supposedly ordered but never arrived. On 4/7 installers were supposed to return, They did not show up or call. I called and was told that another truck had been in an accident and they went to help. On 4/12 installer called to tell me wrong materials had been ordered. On 5/4 I had a message to call Lowe's Millworks. No one answered for 4 days, then did not know why I was called. When I followed up as to when installers would be returning I was told the work order had been reported as completed, although no one had been to my house. This saga continues til door is finally repaired on 8/31. This means 7 months of wasted $ on energy costs as my door leaked air out and allowed air in. I requested $1000 for energy costs and my inconvenience, while they had my money for over 11 months. They started with a $250 gift card and ended with an offer of $592, which is absolutely ridiculous. Lowe's takes no responsibilities for their contractors and kept telling me they were "escalating" the problem. I just wanted wind to quit blowing through my door. read more

Huge customer service fail. On a Wednesday. ordered an expensive grill online with free assembly and free delivery for Friday. Checked order status on Friday and saw delivery delayed until Sunday and there was no update noticed given. So I called and asked if I could pick up and when. They stated yes and pick up can be right away. When I arrived, they stated the grill has not been assembled and I would have to come back in about four hours when they would give me a call. Before I could pick up the order, they credited my charge card and then debited back at a higher tax rate. When I arrived to pick up the grill five hours later, I inquired about the higher charge. Was told because since this was a pickup, the rate is higher and they could not do anything about it, even though I am saving them the delivery cost. Never again. Cancelled the order and will not shop Lowes ever again. read more

We went thru Lowe's to have them build us a new deck. They subcontracted to with Haven Rowell's company DO ALL. He and all his workers were very professional and did an exceptional job.My wife and I couldn't be any more happy.They took extra time to do the job the right way. Example: the boards on the deck were screwed down at an angle so that no screws are visible and no wood was splintered as would be if the wood was fastened thru the top of the boards.The posts anchoring the deck are sitting inside blocks that sit on concrete footings thus allowing for movement, they look great also. read more

Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. We Tried to exchange a defective smoker. Straight up even exchange as the smoker was a gift. Same brand, model etc. Instead, the customer service employee refunded the gift back to the card that was used to purchase it! So they ended up charging us for the exchange! Instead of this being a simple exchange that EVERY other store in the nation does, this Lowe's customer service made it an hour long ordeal! The thing that is especially annoying is the customer service lead/manager who was on at the time TOLD THE EMPLOYEE to do an exchange NOT a refund. Of course we got no where with new shift manager (took forever to sort out so new manger came on shift ) because she "just came on the evening shift". DO NOT GO HERE! Go to Home Depot or Menards because at least their customer service helps you the correct way. Should not be difficult to exchange the same product with the exact same product. This is not the first time we have had troubles with this Lowe's!! Extremely embarrassing to call the person who gave you a gift and tell them what happened!! read more

My husband and I went in last week to pick out a new refrigerator. There was no one in the appliance area and we walked around for a bit to find someone to help us. Finally we found someone from the flooring department to help. But he was not very helpful as the refrigerators were not his expertise. Finally we got up to customer service to pay and the woman who helped us was very kind. The cherry on top of the whole experience was the delivery. The gentlemen called to tell me when they would be arriving and were right on time. They were kind and helpful, they were social and did a wonderful job. DO NOT place an order through Lowes.com. I just found that an order I placed 4 weeks ago can't be filled because the product was discontinued by the producer. And I would have never found that out unless I spent nearly an hour on hold with two different utterly incompetent associates. It's amazing that a business the size of Lowes has not mastered the fine art of e-commerce by now. Oh wait...just got a call from the Lowes "Customer Care Center." Hats off to Lowe's customer service!! They are the best. Ordered a storm door earlier this year. The sale, delivery and installation was spot on. All aspects amazing..went beyond my expectations. Sooo this weekend my washer died so I reached out to the appliance department ....Dave was great. He helped me place the order. Later that day, I found where Home Depot could deliver the same washer within 3 days while Lowe's delivery time was closer to 7 to 10 days. Sadly I cancelled my order with Lowe's...again exceptional customer service from Joe. Lowe's will always be the first point of contact for me. They go above and beyond. Went to this location to buy a new gas grill and the guy behind the counter yelled at me because I had my empty propane tank in the cart to exchange it for a full one. He could have just said, "sir I will take that for you." But no he made a big deal about it like the thing was going to explode.
