My husband just got back from LOWES (in Owensboro) The young man cleaning the carts (to sanitize them)was Not wearing a mask. When asked where his mask was he pointed to his pocket and kept wiping down the carts. My husband spoke to the service desk. Nothing was done. When my husband came back out of the store the person was still "cleaning" the carts without a masks. So we Know the carts at Lowes aren't clean and mandates are being ignored. It is bad enough that they don't have their employees follow state rules but to have that person be maskless for a sanitizing job is inexcusable. Lowes is not on board. read more

New fridge ordered. Paid for delivery and installation. Lowes uses 3rd party delivery service. They are not allowed to do anything that could expose them to any liability, such as turning off the water. Had I known in store, I could have made better decision. Now out several hundred more for plumber to come by and turn water valve off AND pay them (3rd party vendor form Lowes) to have it "installed" After this experience, slim chance I will ever set foot in Lowes ever again, or anyone else in my immediate circle. When I shopped at Lowes on Monday, the sales associates were very helpful and tried their best. I would give a 5 star but the first thing I noticed when I walked in was every cashier and service desk associate did not even acknowledge me. They were to busy on their phones. I wouldn't even give them a 1 star but Yelp doesn't have that option. Our refrigerator went out on Friday and went to Lowe's on Saturday morning only to find out that you can't walk out with a refrigerator that day you have to order it. So we did our delivery day was set for Tuesday as that was the soonest we could get it. I received a text telling that my delivery was scheduled for Tuesday between 8-12. Tuesday came and at 3:30 pm we received a call saying our refrigerator never made it on the truck and we had to reschedule the delivery. The soonest they could redeliver it was the following Tuesday because that's the only day they are in our area. We called the store and asked them how they could make it right. They said they couldn't. So between the 3rd party delivery company the Owensboro Lowe's that we purchased it through and Lowe's Corporate Office nobody could make it right. It took another a hour trying to get customer service on the phone to cancel our order. Needless to say Lowe's same another example of why BIG BOX Companies don't care about the consumer. Buy from the local Mom and Pop stores it may cost more but at least they care. read more

Nelson in the appliance department was extremely helpful, he saw us looking at dishwashers and came over immediately to ask if we needed any help. I have never been giving such a run around - ordered carpet and padding for one room on July 15- had them come to install on August 11- thank gosh the installers wanted us to look at it before they laid it- the wrong carpet was ordered- found out after padding put down- went to Lowe's on the 11th to get it straightened out with the carpet we had originally wanted - they said they would put an SOS on it since we had to block off one room- here it is August 29th and the carpet still isn't here and won't be shipped out til the 31st! - so still can't use my room and nobody acts like they give 2cents!!! read more

Worse customer service ever. We order cabinets, paid for demo, removal of old cabinets and installation of new. I was told it would take 30 days to build the cabinets, and 3-5 days for demo and installation. We'll it took a little longer, 13 MONTHS longer. Every thing that could happen did. Cabinets were measured wrong, they failed to order parts, parts came in defected (scraped and or chipped), no show (or call) after us taking off work to be here, this happened 2-3 times. The first contractor was the terrible. They finally after 11 months with this joker hired us a new contractor to try to fix this mess. Took another 2 months to order the correct parts and fix this mess. And that he did. Finally after 13 months I was able to get my canned good off the dining room table. I waited several months to write this review, because I believe a hot head tends to over react. All I'm trying to say is if you want quality cabinets installed in a reasonable time Do Not expect that kind of service at Lowes, you'll be sadly disappointed. read more

We bought $14,000 in new appliances and kitchen cabinets. We started this process in July Cabinets were finely delivered first week of October after numerous delays. Lowes Installer inspected cabinets and set up the 19 of October to install them. Installer never showed up. Can't call them directly so we have to go through Lowes. There's broken communication between customer Lowes and installer. It leaves you hanging not knowing what's going on. Terrible communication throughout the entire process. Lowes prices were reasonable but will go through a private contractor for all future work. read more

The reviews are not very good here, are they? That is because LOWES hires warm bodies to fill the positions, NOT knowledgeable and experienced individuals. They are afraid to pay what those people are WORTH and usually give them part-time status so they don't have to provide benefits. The managers there are INCOMPETENT. They can't even seem to fix a little problem like an employee's paycheck going into the wrong account. CHILDREN are running the show. The school systems have dumbed them so down that communication skills are nil. They're glued to their I-Phones 24/7. My husband and I spend an embarrassing amount of time at Lowe's, being new homeowners and all. We buy all of our paint here, and materials that we use for home remodels. We paid for Lowe's to lay hardwood floors in our home and they did an excellent job. The floors are BEAUTIFUL! The only reason for the 4-star review is due to some employees. Most that we run into have great attitudes and are friendly and quick about their jobs. However, the paint department is very slow, as if you're inconveniencing them to ask for paint to be mixed or to even ask a question. Otherwise, keep it up, Lowe's! read more

Different excuse for each missed appointment then store MANAGER Sean gets disrespectful when I mention a lawyer to handle arbitration. My wife and I went in to buy a microwave 2/9/21. We found one we liked and couldn't find anyone to ring it up. Just moments before there were 2 clerks at the computer and 1 didn't even look at us. I was ready to walk out then. Finally a guy showed up to ring it up. They were out of stock. Said it would be in on Monday 2/15/21. We went ahead and paid for it and as we were going out saw a sign that said free delivery on purchases of $299 or more. So we went up to the service counter in front since the guy that rang up the sale darted out. They said it would be delivered on Tuesday 2/22/21. We were fine with that. My wife got a call on the following Monday that they couldn't deliver it for another week due to snow. We live 17 minutes from the store. I called and asked if I could pick it up on Tuesday. They said yes. So Tuesday 2/22/21 I went over about 12:30, asked to pick up the microwave and they couldn't find it. After an hour standing at the customer service counter I asked for a refund "I'll just go to Green River Appliance and get one". The girl said "that's what I would do". What apathy!!! They don't care if they sell anything or not or try to find answers. It's just a big cluster. There was hardly anyone in the store and 2 girls went on break as I was standing there. This is the most enept home improvement store I have been to. I have an ongoing project that requires 80 lb bags of concrete and other supplies. 2 weeks ago I ordered and paid online all the supplies that i needed for the first week or so. I get there, nothing is waiting to be picked up, I had a hard time getting anyone to get my supplies then they had no one to load it for me. I was there over an hour finally they found someone who loaded it. This afternoon , thinking they may have just had an off night before, ordered and paid for the same stuff, got the there 4pm to pick it up. They had the concrete on a cart but not my other supplies. I waited 45 minutes for then to get the rest, the old guy at the register in building supplies, never attempted to call anyone to help. I had to go up front then they finally went and got the rest of the stuff. I waited outside another 20 minutes for someone to load. Then the old guy wheeled my cart out to me and said no one is here to load it. I attempted to load it in the truck but was way to heavy. Finally after another 20 minutes 2 guys came out and loaded it for me. read more

Understaffed and the staff that are there would rather hang out with each other than help buying customers. I went into this location on Sunday, April 9, 2017 and there were only 2 individuals working in the Construction Dept, and only 1 cashier open in the back. The 2 individuals who were working seemed more interested in chatting with the customer with a dog, that had 2 items in his hand, than filling my $500 order for construction block. I went to Lowe's with a friend to buy paint for her new home. We waited for several minutes while the employee waited on a customer. We were next in line. Another customer interrupted asking for help when the guy was done. Instead of waiting on us next, the employee went off to help that guy! It took nearly 45 minutes to get our paint. When she started using the paint, she discovered it is several shades lighter than the paint chip. Lowe's needs to train their paint department employees in customer service and how to mix paint correctly. We'll be buying our paint elsewhere from now on. I gave two stars because the other store employees were very nice and efficient. read more

I was patronized by "Jerry" and another heavyset woman with a black bowl-cut hair style whose name I did not get.This group of bullies tried to make me feel as if I could not add in tax because they believed almost $10 was added in taxes on a $40 bill, and tried to keep the cleaning deposit as well. I am writing only the second bad review in my life. I only like to write about good employee who surprise me with professionalism. that being said "Ashley" was amazing and listened when I began to loose my temper. they get 2 stars one because they cannot pick good employees all the time, and one star for "Ashley" I advise others to stay away from this store! read more

I went to the Lowe's store today and Rancho Santa Margarita to look at patio tables. I found one that I really liked but I saw the sales guy packing up a display table for someone who is coming to get it. He said he would be right with me as soon as he was done. I told him that I wanted this other table I have been looking at (only $150) and he told me he didn't have anymore in stock. I said I'd like to buy the display table. He said he cannot sell me the display. He said, well, somebody is actually driving all the way from Riverside to get it. I told him I'm coming from Dana point. As I called the store and they told me they had one left. I really wanted this table. So I asked to speak to the manager who checked it out for me and told me a completely different story that the sales guy did. He said we absolutely cannot sell display tables. This table was also unavailable online as it says out of stock and was told they will not be getting anymore. so I don't understand why they would not sell me the table that was on display. After about an hour of being there, it was final they cannot sell me the display.. I was so disappointed. Why does one get the display and not me. This has been my favorite go to store. I am a 64 year old Disabled Veteran. I purchased a interior door which I requested that they cut to 79-1/2 Inches long so I wouldn't have to do so. They refused to do so. The assistant Manager refused to give a reason. I then attempted to leave the store with the merchandise I had just paid for and a new Cashier accused me of attempting to steal the Door and a Gallon of Paint. Only after I took the cash register receipt from my bill fold did they back off. Neither the Cashier or the Assistant Manager offered any kind of apology. If you want to be treated like crap, then Lowe's is your store. I have spend several Thousand Dollars at Lowe's over the past few years. NEVER AGAIN. I will tell their Senior Management one thing. If you want to stay in Business you better be a little more careful in the people you hire. read more
