I have had good luck with the paint they carry. When I've needed to return something they've been quick and easy to take care of it. Didn't receive all my items upon delivery. No one bothered to check the truck when I asked about it, and no one is helping me resolve this issue days later. Seems like the employees are just passing the blame and responsibility off to the next crew member or manager. Meanwhile my project is on hold. My time and my contractors time is wasted. Not to mention my $$$. Now 4 phone conversations later it *might* be delivered in two days... That's like, 5 days after the original delivery date... Not cool Lowes, not cool. read more

Excellent customer service! Especially from Daun, Don, Justin & Bob! I've been here a bout 10 times since moving to the county and am so happy to call this my go-to home improvement place! They are well-stocked with every great product and so many to choose from. Everything is easy to find and ALL of the employees are so knowledgeable & friendly. Avoid these rude people! Bought a new fridge and was waiting for them to load it. While standing there, I had a question so I walked towards the managers office that it right there at the checkout line. As I am walking up... the very large female manager looks at me , slides her chair over and slams the door in my face as I am walking up. She made eye contact as she did it too. What type of store manager does that? Will never step foot in there again. I work with local customers everyday, hundreds.... believe me, I will be sharing this experience with all of them...hoping they take my advice and avoid this environment. There was only 2 cashiers in the front of the store. The one in lumber didn't have a clue what he was doing and couldn't get help. The other was an angry, tatted up, middle-aged woman that rolled her eyes at everything we said and was slamming the phone on the counter because she couldn't get help. Kinda scary. The only thing that was good was the kid in the flooring department was helpful. Otherwise, this store is incredibly understaffed and poorly managed. Get it together Lowe's! read more

This one star rating is for Kacie who I beleive is a front end Manager. Progressive Leasing is currently offering a lease to own option for several different stores with Lowes being one of them. During a Pandemic and with the economy being a bit shaky this would bring revenue to there store. The instructions on how to start this were a bit shaky on progressive leasing part also Lowes staff in Paso Robles apparently did not have training on this either. No ones fault there but I did not know thus until Kacie was brought up to the customer service counter to hopefully answer my questions. Well apparently I had to ask the appropriate question to get somewhat of an answer and when her associate asked what progressive leasing was she loudly and rudely added it is for people who do not qualify for the Lowes credit card they do a rent to own. I do not have to explain my situation to her or anyone but here we are. I did not even apply for a Lowes credit card. I did not want to hit my credit with an account inquiry for a place I will never shop at. I just needed this one large purchase plus they offer 90 pay off with zero interest. Lowes does offer a 6 month zero interest but again did not want a hit on my credit report. This story gets even better. As they scramble to see how to do this she calls some one else to help me because she clearly saw that I was upset and mortified by her response. She then she has some one else tell me that so and so is coming to help me then she took a cart and left and we were left standing there with product in hand and no one to help. I asked for manager on Duty and Tom appeared I first complained about Kacie and his response was "She can be abrupt" ummm what? I interview employees for customer service positions and this is appalling that Kacie is that bad that a manager has to make an excuse for her and it does not sound like this was his first time making an excuse for her. In the end Tom and Antonio came to our rescue and handled things beautifully and for them I give them 5 stars. Secondly Progressive Leasing not a good fit for Lowes and that is not Lowes fault I put that on Progressive leasing. I am not one to usually complain as you can see by my lack of reviews. But that interaction was appalling. Kacie may be good at paperwork or whatever she does but she is not at all good with her customer service. read more

The worst customer service! I went in to buy 8 - 3 cubic ft bags of soil & fertilizer for my garden beds. It took forever to find some help, so I gave up looking when an employee asked me if I needed help. I said yes & told him exactly what I needed. He literally looked me in my face, turned & left,& never came back. After paying over $100 for my huge crate of soil, no one offered to help me to the parking lot or load up. I'll be spending my next large sum of money on the plants for my beds at home depot. read more

Three days ago I went to Lowe,s Paso to buy a small refrigerator. I couldn't find anyone to help load it so I muscled onto my truck. I brought it home, unpacked it, and found it full of dents. I re-packed it, brought it back and got another (last one) item. Again no help to load so I lifted it and strained my back in the process. Got it home, un-packed it only to find it was in worse condition the the previous one. I called the store and talked to Don, the apparent appliance manager. He said that since there were no more, he would arrange for a $20 credit on this item. A few hours later, I found out that the unit did not operate at all. I called again and spoke to Julie (or Julia). She told me that Don had left and it was the store policy to let me know when he would be back to work. I explained the situation and suggested that the display model be tested and if working, I could take that one in exchange. She thought that it was a good idea and said that she would leave two notes; one on the display unit and one on Don's office door to have him call me back. Since then I have had no calls despite knowing that Don had returned to work the next day. I've left other messages to no avail. Goodbye Lowe's, hello Home Depot. read more

What I love most about this store is the prevalence of employees and their willingness to help. We did a remodel last summer (and are still working on it...). Lowe's was so much better to work with than Home Depot. We made orders online for store pick up. Then, I could call the store and let them know my contractor was picking up and give his name. All of the transactions went smoothly. We also got great prices on our appliances. The only thing that bugs me is they have very few cashiers and a ton of self check machines that are always out of order. Weekends are a nightmare trying to check out here. So very sad! Ordered 2 pallets of sod on May 1st. Hadn't recieved a shipping text by the 11th so I finally called their help line and went through the automated teller. Higher call volumes at the time, waited for 37 minutes and no one ever answered. I called the Lowes store in my area and they said order was still processing. Called Lowes back a couple days later, was told sod was shipped but she has no info about estimated delivery date. Waited a day and then called the actual sod company, and was told the sod I ordered wasn't even available in my area!!!! Ggggrrrrr!!!!! So pissed! I have laid chicken wire in my bacyard and almost had the dirt delivered thinking the sod would be here soon. Called back Lowes and they said they had no control over what their website says. I call b.s!!! Home depot's website says what is available in my area...so does every other website I order from. I had to change my grass selection and luckily was available to order a different sod through home depot. Will never order through Lowes again!!! read more

I had a great experience at this store at the garden center. As you can imagine, spring is a crazy time. My salesman, Brian, went above and beyond to help me choose planters and potting soil, made sure the ones I wanted were pulled and placed on a pallet for shipping. Somehow, the shipping schedule got confused and Shelly, the manager, stepped in to find out what happened and made sure my order was delivered the next day. The deliver man, didn't get his name, was so professional, using a forklift, put the order in my garage where it would be safe and secure until we got started planting.......overall a very good experience!!!!!!!! read more

When this store first opened, it provided great customer service and the employees wouldn't let you go by without asking if you needed help. Now, you must attempt find someone on the floor and chase them down for help. When you do make contact with them, they have to find and ask elsewhere for an answer. They couldn't tell me where the trash cans were, couldn't tell me if they had recycling trash cans, couldn't tell me anything. I told them I was leaving. read more

Went with Lowe's to get new flooring installed and the process has been terrible, and it's still ongoing. I'm not sure how they make any money, because we had to drive to the store multiple times just to move the process along. Someone came out and measured, then we had to stop by the store again to move the process along. They didn't include base boards, so that took extra time. Items were finally delivered and the installer(does not work for Lowe's) was great. It's been 3 weeks since the install and everything looks great, except for the items Lowe's forgot in the order. The installer said he would contact Lowe's and get those items ordered. It should only be maybe a week. 3 weeks later I call Lowe's every 2-3 days and they don't have an answer for me. Today they gave me the number for the install company(instead of calling themselves) saying they should have the information, even though I ordered through Lowe's, not the install company. Now I have holes in my floor and borders unfinished just waiting to be finished. read more

My husband and I went to the kitchen department to learn more about quartz countertops, and price them. There was a lady employee and a man wearing a "service manager" vest. We stood for several minutes while they were on the computer. After several minutes, the man seemed irritated that we were standing there waiting, and told us they were busy with another client. The lady pointed to a wall with countertop samples. All they had to do was say "we'll be with you shortly." Instead, we got the feeling that they just wanted us to stop bothering them and leave. I bought a washer and dryer here and delivery took a week, which I could deal with. I asked them if I needed any special parts to hook up the gas dryer and I was told "no". Well, after delivery I find out I need a special kit. I go back to the appliance department to pick up the parts. I ask the lady at the counter for help. Her response is "oh, you shouldn't need anything." Then she takes a phone call in the middle of helping me and 10 minutes later she still never got back to me. Wth? I usually have pretty good experiences here. I walked out and went downtown to Blake's Hardware. They got me the parts I needed. Problem solved. read more

We purchased carpet from Lowe's in Paso Robles, Mohawk SmartStrand and paid over $5000. Within a few months, the carpet was falling apart! The installer came back out and noted wide-spread "delamination." Remnants which have been stored on a shelf have the same issue, it seems there was a problem in the manufacturing. A year later, and Lowe's has done nothing to remedy the situation, and the condition has worsened. I wouldn't recommend buying anything at this store for any significant amount of $ because if there's a problem, they won't stand behind their products. read more

My experience was with the pro-service desk. I had a major repair/update to do for a rental. Ashley was the person that worked with me. She was a god-send ! She helped me navigate the complicated world of construction and get what I needed and saved me a lot of money by arranging a corporate discount . I didn't know it but if your spending $1500 or more you can get a bigger discount on your total purchases . Ashley was a wonder, I could always call her with questions, and she was fantastic at organization ; things were ready for pick-up or delivery as construction progressed. If a screw-up occurred, she took care of it. I couldn't have been more pleased. read more

I called numerous times to get SOME sort of answer or refund, no one calls you back and when you call them on this problem, they point fingers and lay it on the next guy. Not the best and not the worst. If you live nearby and learn the store it can be a good enough shopping experience. Help is really variable and spotty in the store with some excellent associates and some that could stand to learn at least the basics of their departments....that being said the prices are typically cheap enough so beggars like myself can't be choosers. read more

Theres something funky about these kinda stores (home depot as well) Every time i go, I am almost, what it seems to be, avoided. "Help button" yields no results. And after normal working hours, there seems to be a lack in staffing. However, the people I have delt with (Lowes) prove to be valuable.
