Not the best and not the worst. If you live nearby and learn the store it can be a good enough shopping experience. Help is really variable and spotty in the store with some excellent associates and some that could stand to learn at least the basics of their departments....that being said the prices are typically cheap enough so beggars like myself can't be choosers. read more

I absolutely love Lowe's! My dad, boyfriend, and I recently came to Lowe's in search for a new stove, microwave, washing machine, dryer, and some other things. We tried Home Depot first and found a few things we liked, although the prices were a little high and they didn't have them in stock... we then drove up to Lowe's and they had everything in stock and for a cheaper price! The employees that I have dealt with have all been very helpful and friendly. They always help us load everything into the truck and thank us for shopping with them. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the drive. I wish they were more in town rather than 5-10 minutes out of Paso. read more

I currently live in Fresno County and stopped at the Paso Robles Lowes to shop for some tile for our new home in SLO county. We received positive first impressions of their floor staff. We were assisted by April Lakeman in the flooring department and she was very helpful and courteous. She assisted us in placing an order for our desired tile from their distribution center. I called back a few days later to make an inquiry and spoke with Jared at the Commercial desk. He was also very helpful and polite during my inquiries over the phone. He answered the phone promptly and satisfactorily answered my questions regarding the price of tile. We were very pleased with the service provided by April and Jared at the Paso Lowes. We are now awaiting a call from April regarding the arrival of our tile. read more

I went in to buy some sawhorses. They were stuck wedged together, presumably because they were shipped to Lowes in a huge wooden tower that's bound to fail, and an older employee went to great lengths to help me pry them apart. That was all good. Then I went to check out and only the do-it-yourself checkstand was open, and backed up with struggling customers because the lady watching over was doing nothing. A busier fellow employee told her hey, maybe you should do... SOMETHING. Then she got it together and rang me up. Everything went well except the checker issue. read more

I recently purchased 4 replacement windows, a sliding door and some fencing. They have been great to deal with. Sean did a wonderful job of installing the window and door. Fencing was beyond my expectations. They visited to measure and show samples, they followed up with calls. Could not be more pleased. On the flip side I've been dealing with Hayward Lumber for nearly a year trying to get one replacement door that I paid for in Oct. of 2014! They sent a guy that blamed other people, they came to measure at least 5 times, they promised to call back and I still have no door. Thank you Lowes for doing what you promised and for a great price!~ read more

The process of returning an appliance and replacing it with another has the potential for many bumps along the road. In the course of doing so with our local Lowes store, we experienced outstanding service from three of the employees. First was the Store Manager, Eric Locke, who listened to our situation and virtually without question, agreed to swap the appliance with whatever replacement we chose. He then appointed a member in the appliance department to work with us. Diane Warren was his designee, and she spent more than an hour and a half helping us make the right replacement. That was followed by personal assistance from Amy Middleton, a Customer Service Rep, who led us through the transactions needed to satisfy the paperwork required for the credits to complete a rather complex process. I ordered Levelor accordion cellular shades from Lowe's on 11/2/18. Because Lowe's was busy they weren't installed until 1/29/19. Installation seemed to go well. Unfortunately we found that the cords for opening and closing the blinds were very tight and hard to pull. Finally, on 1/20/20, just a year after installation, a cord broke while I was opening a shade. I called Lowe's and explained. They took my info and said they were under warranty. I heard nothing back from Lowe's so I called again on 2/5/20. Nothing done. I called again on 2/25/20. No answer, left voicemail. Since then two more cords for raising the shades have snapped! We have 5 shades in the house and 3 of the 5 are broken! One happened just this morning. I called again and had to start all over again giving my information. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN LOWES. They have terrible customer service after a sale. I will continue to pursue a resolution to this problem. I didn't pay over $1200 to end up with this very inferior product. OK I've been coming to Lowe's since this store was built, I live nearby. The customer service can be sketchy but today was unbelievable, I walked in to pick up an Internet order at the customer service desk there were five women behind the registers all working on something on the register I stood there for three minutes before anyone even acknowledge my presence when one lady looked up she looked away immediately and asked one of the other women, and I quote Will you help this guy the other woman said no I'm doing my paperwork then the first woman looked at me again and just went back to her cash register doing her paperwork so I stood there another three minutes before a woman came out of the back office and said can I help you I finally picked up my order after seven minutes of waiting. I know seven minutes is not a long time but really five women and none could help me. If this review doesn't get to the manager I'm going to send him an email myself I would give zero stars if I could but you know you have to at least put one down but they don't even deserve that today.Worst customer service I've ever had there. read more

This 5 star rating is due to the fact that Tom, assistant manager was the only one who listened to my concern and went the extra mile to actually review my returns and make the corrections that were needed. I wrote to the manager and also Lowe's Corporate office and neither responded. I sent corporate a certified mail receipt, which they received, but never heard from them. With most remodels and construction, contractors purchase more than maybe needed and I was informed whatever I didn't use could be returned for refund. In addition I was told broken pavers found in palettes could be returned for refund. I initially was short changed the number of full palettes returned as well as Quikrete and Polymeric sand, almost a palette of broken pavers (broken in transit). My gratitude to Tom for looking over the pictures of taken of items their driver picked up and was able to sort it out. This was a big deal to me as it was a sizable refund, which was due to me and correct. I suggest customers keep inventory of what they return with pictures if possible, something I did not do because I trusted Lowe's. Thank you Tom for what you did. Do NOT order blinds from Lowe's in Paso Robles. This is my first YELP review but I do not want any unsuspecting homeowners to have to endure the angst we went through with the incompetence of their staff in this department and the third party vendor they use for measurements and installation. I ordered blinds for 9 windows of the 33 total I needed over 6 months ago. After incorrectly measuring, ordering and installing we still have one of the blinds not working. (All nine blinds had to be replaced so this is the 2nd one broken). In the interim we ordered and have had installed the other 24 windows with another company. The entire process (measuring, ordering and installation) was a 2 week process. And these blinds are a much nicer product. Don't listen to their promises ...their empty. read more

I usually love coming to Lowes! all of the staff is so friendly and helpful. I come about once a week for business. Today was beyond disappointing as our check out clerk Anna was so incredibly rude and seemed inconvenienced by my purchase. I got one eye roll after another and yelled at to leave everything in my cart as I tried to help her see some of the product other product was covering. At one point she yanked the cart away from me and inspected all the boxes........ Which literally made me feel like I did something wrong. I had one of my employees with me and he also was treated poorly by her. Please give this lady a training on customer service! If you don't want to be there fine but don't treat your loyal customers like a piece of garbage. read more

Don't even bother. I was running all over the county looking for a sealable mattress cover. I finally called Lowe's and asked if they had one in stock. The woman on the phone confirmed and I even double checked that they had a sealable mattress cover and not just regular. I was assured they had one. I walk into the store and while there are plenty of associates, half are helping customers and the other half are talking to each other. I only saw 2 employees who were talking about actual store matters. I flagged someone down and asked where the mattress covers were. He said he didn't think they had any but if they did, they would be down that aisle. He gestured to the aisle and did not bother to walk me down and help me look. I was standing there looking for the sealable mattress cover for 5 minutes. At least 3 employees passed me and no one bothered to even ask if I needed help. TLDR: They don't care about customers. My husband and I were just in lowes, and I brought him in to buy him a bbq for his birthday! One of the assistant managers Andrea who helped us very rude to us! The particular bbq we wanted had 2 floor models and my husband asked if we could purchase the floor model so he wouldn't have to assemble it himself! And she kept saying no, I will not sale you the floor model, she went to the back to get the unassembled one, once she came back she finally gave us the floor model! She acted like it was such a big deal!! I thought the point of being in retail was to sale items and make customers happy?!? Oh well. Bottom line we got our bbq and my husband is happy!! Worst customer service, ever. I ordered a cooktop on the 11th, Lowe's took my money on the 13th, didn't hear another word for weeks. I kept calling, finally the cooktop got to the Paso store on the 23rd, they scheduled a deliver for Wednesday the 29th without even contacting me. I was told they can't give me a time for delivery either, I guess I have to sit home until they show up, unbelievable. Each person I talked to on the phone could give a rats a$$ either. My experience was unfortunate and I hope this helps when considering flooring installs. I spent over $25k on travertine flooring for my home and installation from Lowes of Paso Robles, CA. I was incorrect to rely on their sales people and contractor for recommendations and installation of the flooring. The house was an older concrete foundation with a few cracks here and there. I was told the tiles could be put down on the concrete without a problem. I was not abusive to the flooring in any way. Yet, within just over a year from installation, the floor tiles began to crack throughout the house. I have since been informed the installation should have used an uncoupling underlayment to prevent those cracks in the foundation from eventually cracking the tiles. Since it was not installed, several dozen tiles have formed cracks over time. Since the cracks did not appear until right after the one year warranty expired, Lowes and the installer, Mr. Hatter, have both said it is not their problem. I wish someone had been knowledgeable enough to recommend using this underlayment and save me a headache. In my opinion, the installation was not professional and neither Lowes or the installer will stand behind their work. I would not recommend either for any project. I myself will never do business with Lowes or their installer again. Take your money to a more reputable place. read more

I went there today and will never go back. I was not a happy camper when it came to customer service. I went from garden to the other side of the store without one CSR asking if I needed assistance, I was looking for cinder blocks and never found them..I decided I was done shopping because I was annoyed. As I was reentering the garden area a CSR finally asked if I needed help. I told her I couldn't find the blocks and she said, "Well, they're outside at the other end of the store, when you're ready to check out they have a book they can show you the picture then you can drive over and load them into your car." Really??? What??? Was she in such a hurry that she couldn't show me where they were? Was I inconveniencing her? She knew I was annoyed...BECAUSE I TOLD HER WTF??? Next, when I went back to the garden center the computer was off-line and the supervisor had no clue as to how to fix the problem..there was no other cashier out there...on a Saturday at 11 a.m. Really??? I had to go back inside to check out. As I stood in the ONLY open cash register line and ANNOYED I see another CSR standing up side the wall behind the cash registers, just standing there like she had nothing better to do but hold that wall up. Five - seven minutes passed and she finally decided that the wall no longer needed holding and came over to the register and opened..WTF....FIRE HER! When I asked her if there would be a website for a survey on my receipt she asked why and I looked at her and said, "I am NEVER going to shop here again." She had no clue by the look on her face that she had drove me over the edge of ANNOYANCE! I will drive to Atascadero to Home Depot... read more

I have to say that I really never do these reviews, but this time, there's no way I can't do one! The installation of our new flooring -- pergo laminate & carpet, was just completed. First and foremost, I have to say what a phenomenal installer, as well as a PHENOMENAL person the installer, Todd St. John of Distinctive Floor Coverings is!! He went WAY above and beyond what I would ever expect from any installer! He showed so much patience, care and compassion as a person to me and to my almost 90 year old dad, who just came out of lengthy rehabilitation stay. I live 3 hours away, and if my dad needed assistance, without hesitation he helped -- then called to inform me of the situation. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful, trustworthy, hard working person he is! I changed my mind about 4 times on what flooring I wanted, and he was patient, kind and helpful! And did I mention how knowledgeable he is about all the different types of flooring?? He was dependable, showing up on time--every time! And the flooring he installed looks just FABULOUS!! Couldn't be happier!! Thank you, Lowe's, for providing such a top of the line installer!! Not sure if he'll see this or not, but I cannot thank you enough, Todd! You are the best! It would not be fair not to mention the rest of the experience, which was just awesome as well! I am 71 years old employed by Lowe's for 7 months. I enjoyed my fellow employees, did not care for management. My doctors where concerned about my health and the hours i worked. I submitted two letters a month apart. Day's after the second letter, i was fired. The reason i was fired, was profanity in the break room. As the reader you go figure.Based on there reason for firing me, 99% of the employees should be fired. Great store for shoppers, working there a unfair, very bad experience. read more

I purchased items from the store. The items would not fit, when I tried to return them two days later they would not return the items because my card was expired. I typically work with other stores and this was my first time having to deal with this store. I highly recommend purchasing items elsewhere. Wow, I am sooooo disappointed in Lowes! Customer service SUCKS, and there products are even worse! We are doing a home remodel, so we use Lowes because it's close to our house (which is still 20 miles away) Our last project has been building a new fence, we went to Lowes and ordered the lumber for the project, the cost was $1300 (Delivery charge $85). The materials were to be delivered a few days later. My husband had to go back into Lowes (while building the fence) 3 different times to return the pickets that were damaged wood (51 total) Whoever packaged the material for delivery did a HORRIBLE job doing so!! What a waste of time!! Not to mention the money we spent!! In total, we wasted 3 hours of time we had to pay the worker that was helping my husband! If you are ordering anything to be delivered at Lowes, make sure you pick out what you are ordering, because the employee's can care less what they throw into your order. What a shame!! It looks like the employees at Lowes don't care much about their jobs :( Please bring back good customer service to Lowes!!! This store is fine if you go in and shop yourself, do not ask any questions, and don't require any assistance. Oh and don't forget to go through the self check out line while you are at it. If at any point you have to ask a question forget it. It's pointless. And don't even get me started on getting something installed. The installation department is a joke. They DO NOT communicate. They do not call when they are supposed to. The contractors they have doing the work is a joke. They don't call either. I have called at least a dozen times and I never get anything other than "oh sorry" and it never changes. Still not installed. Still not a set appointment. Oh my goodness... the worst service ever. I ordered a fridge, range, hood and dishwasher in September of 2017. They told me it would be a couple weeks and they would deliver third week in October. I paid over 6k and the expected delivery date came and went. I called and was given a new arrival date in early November. When again I didn't hear anything I called and was told kitchenaid was back ordered on the refrigerator so it would be the end of November. Needless to say this delay occurred several more times and today I was told it is now scheduled for April. 8 months for a refrigerator? Words can't express how annoyed I am. I've since received the oven, hood and dishwasher but no fridge. The service is so horrible is comical. read more

I was getting ready to give this Lowe's in Paso Robles, CA my lowest review to date at any home improvement store nationwide. I am a Level 7 Google Maps Local Tour Guide which I am blessed to have obtained after years of hard work through observing and due diligence. When I entered the store I had the unfortunate experience to seek out help from Adriane in Pro. I have NEVER been treated so rudely, abruptly and demeaning in my entire experience at Lowe's nationwide. I immediately generalized my thoughts, "Is this the attitude of all people here in Paso Robles? In California?" But then I met Hallen and subsequently Don who I found to be over and above helpful, smiling and enjoyable to simply be in the presence of. Upon checking out, our cashier was friendly, professional and kind...with a smile. Thus, this Lowe's gets a positive rating due to these other employees separate from Adriane's rude conduct combined with her generalized angry appearance. Lowe's would serve the customers more professionally if they found a non-interactive position for Adriane; as in the back office, like, accounting. Interestingly, the customer Adriane was also assisting took it upon himself, kindly and enthusiastically telling me which aisle a particular product was on (which Adriane actually refused to do). After checking out I went back to confront Adriane who was on the phone at the time. Her physical stance was angry, confrontational, with a combative presence permeating a three foot area surrounding her. I chose to quietly leave and use this forum to exercise my observations. I have always preferred Lowe's over Home Depot because of Lowe's excellence in customer service. Adriane is a thorn in Lowe's longstanding excellence in respect for the customers. read more

Lowes has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. And not just one time...over and over and over again. There are employees all over the store, but no one actually wants to help you. Today we spent over $350 and said no to the extra warranty, but they charged us for it anyway. When I mentioned that the total didn't look right the woman just dismissed me. Then when the receipt printed, oh--whoops, there's the charge for the warranty. Can they actually fix the problem right there? Nope. You have to go wait in another line at customer service and explain the whole thing to another person. And can they look it up with your MyLowes number that promises to make your life easier? Nope, can't do that either. We will be driving to the Home Depot that is 15 min away instead of coming to Lowes again. read more

My husband and I spent a huge amount of money on a kitchen remodel with the help of a Lowe's designer. The designer made an error in the design, which did not even come close to looking like the computerized print out of the kitchen design, but Lowe's did nothing to rectify the problem and told us that it was our fault! The manager lied to us on two counts (he didn't remember what he had told us) and then made it sound like we were out of line to even raise the issue. I bought a generator last year and purchased a 3 year protection plan just in case it broke down. I changed the oil and maintained it as requested by owners manual to avoid warranty being voided. But when it did break down, they refused to honor the warranty; instead, they want to charge me a couple hundred dollars to repair it.this store is horrible, they are liars and theives. My advice,go to home Depot or miners Ace hardware. Stick with actual generator dealers and read the fine print. Worst customer service ever. read more

We had a refrigerator delivered less than four hours ago. As we were putting the food in, the toe grill under the freezer snapped off and we cannot reattach it. When I called, the company rep essentially suggested that we might have broken it; in that case, it would cost us. So, we bought a refrigerator just to break it? Nonsensical. Then she kept me on hold for many minutes trying to figure out what to do. Then she, reluctantly, scheduled an appointment for someone to come out. We have to wait at home for eight hours, she warned, or we could miss the repair folks. Unbelievable. Never buying anything from Lowe's again. Heard horror stories about the employees screwing up the installment, dropping the items, etc. Now I know why! read more

We had an absolute nightmare trying to get a fridge from Home Depot and after waiting 4 days for delivery they completely messed it up. After realizing what a complete joke it was turning into we drove over to Paso Lowes, met a great salesman named Nate, purchased a fridge immediately (about 4:00 on a Wed) and it was installed by 9:15 the next morning (it would have been quicker but they had to remove doors on our old one and this new one to get it in the house). Alfonso and Cassidy were wonderful delivery/installers. They were fast,courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and very careful with the new fridge. A wonderful experience. Especially after the torture we went through with the ineptness at Home Depot. read more
