This is highly unprofessional, and I find it unacceptable that a store manager would refuse to be held accountable for a customer issue. Complaint Summary: Failure to notify me about my delayed order. Lack of accountability--no one can explain what happened to my order. Unresponsive customer service--transferred multiple times and left on hold with no communication. Manager refusing to speak with me or even provide their name. Over a month has passed, and I still have not received my microwave or any explanation. They have completely removed cashiers and you have to do it yourself. No big deal. But there were two employees who were just standing there the whole time, one was an older woman and another was a young woman. Gotta cover the front door, whatever no big deal. When the man in front of me left his receipt she screamed out "RECEIPT!" While he was on the phone and with his hands full. He shook his head and said no thanks and left it in the machine. Again not a big deal. The younger girl sucked her teeth, walked over to the machine and yanked the receipt down and said "I oughta just throw it at his dumbass" loud enough for me and my 8 year old daughter to hear. Rather than ask for assistance from a competent team member or asking her manager to help, she hung the phone up on me. There's a reason this store only has 2 stars! Customer service counter is horrible. If you make a purchase & have your receipt, the returned funds should go back to your original form of payment. A gift card purchase should go back to a gift card, not an in-store only merchandise card. The return policy is not on the receipt so they do whatever they want. read more

Bought a Whirlpool washer and used it 5 times had it a week now i have to wait another week for a repair service. I needed it replaced but they changed their policy, 48 hours. whirlpool is junk and Lowes don't care. they are very rude and all they want is to take your money and get rid of you. So I have spent thousands at this store over the years and almost every time I ordered something it was wrong some how, color size,model, etc. But this is the last straw. I did not realize I bought a contrators 10 pac of house trim. It was the only one that matched my existing trim. I only needed one piece as I was able to reuse alot of my existing trim. So I go today and try to return 9 pieces and they refused to give me anything back even a gift card. I hope it was worth loosing me as a customer for life for 100 dollers. I don't know why this Lowe's has such a low rating! I'm here to hopefully change that because I've had nothing but amazing experiences every time I visit this location! The employees are super knowledgeable in their departments. We mainly shop here for gardening needs, so we look around a lot in the gardening center in hopes of at adding new plants and flowers to our garden. I really appreciate the fact that they have a clearance plant section, where I've found numerous "plant babies" I've brought home and nursed back to health! My large snake plant is my favorite, I got it for 50% off and it has been thriving. I also bought a baby aloe plant here last year, which is long as can be, and probably needs re potting. I've attached a few pictures of those. Other than that, we've bought so many plants from here and they've all done great. They even sell Venus flytraps, and sometimes pitcher plants, which are my favorite of all time. Selection is always great. Went to Lowe's with my dad to get some cement and look at some power tools. We get there it's about an average amount of customers. We look through the tool section. We ask for help and they are busy with a customer. So we wait looking at some tools. We look around and the employee is gone, no where in sight. We ask for help, the reply is not my department let me call someone. Ok thanks. 15 minutes later, I go to the cashier and ask if they could get someone in the tool department to help us. She calls, 20 minutes later asking the fifth person for help in the tool department 1 hour 15 minutes in the store, total time so far. I asked him if he can help us in the tool department, he said no I can call someone. I told him NO we have already ask others to do this, I think we we go somewhere else, he blurts out "So go somewhere else" so we got 3 bags of cement and my dad a Gatorade. I have never been in a do it yourself store where you really are expected to do it yourself. If they gave me the keys to the cage to get the tool we needed I would've had it payroll deducted. I did more work there myself then any of the employees. What a management team they have. Well anyway we will be getting our tools, gutter, lumber, and plumbing, pipes, and fittings from some other diy store. We need more then a hand-me-down Lowe's in Plant City. This store doesn't even rate at 3rd rate store. It will be out of business soon. I guess I am fed up with them because the lumber here is warped, cracked, or too knotty. I have been shopping extensively at Lowe's Plant City FL since I moved to Florida in early 2021. Even though they can be somewhat erratic at times, e.g., forgetting to come to the pick-up parking spots, on the whole I have to rate them as excellent and five stars. Most of my shopping has been online with curbside or store pick-up. To my repeated amazement, when I order something already in stock in the store, it's ready for pick-up typically in 15 minutes. That makes life very convenient. I only had one customer service issue, when they showed an order as having been picked up when it had not. After I talked with a couple of different employees, they gave a full refund. The issue with any retailer isn't usually whether a problem occurs (everybody has them now and them) but whether they can effectively address it and solve it. And they did solve it, so I'm satisfied. Lowe's prices are sometimes the lowest, sometimes, not. With a little comparison shopping I always manage to buy from Lowe's at a reasonable price. read more

Terrible experience at Glen Carbon/ IL. Lowes requires total payment for 2 windows in advance [$3000] which takes the leverage away from the buyer when then is a problem. Windows installed 9/13, but there were NO SCREENS. Called Lowe's 9/13 but department manager was off. MGR. called me 9/15 stated she would get back with me. 9/16 I called her AGAIN and she stated they had the screens in the store [only two miles from our home] and stated they would be installed by 9/20. 9/20 I called Store MGR. this time who stated he would see what he could do. I told him the best thing he could do was to drive 2 miles and install him himself. Instead he stated dept. mgr. would call. She called 9/21 am and stated installer would call w/in 24 hours- no call/no show. 9/22 [10 days after install] Lowe's has my money still and I have no screens. read more

Lowe's has gone downhill. Its all about them, not about the customer. One dishwasher came broken after waiting a month. Stove was delivered to my house against my wishes and like they have done every time, they destroyed my yard. Told me I would have to wait another 2 weeks if I wanted it delivered to the store. Had a replacement dishwasher in order for 3 more weeks and NOW with one week to go, they tell me it's delayed again for another week. Stopped shopping there and started going to ACE Hardware. Walked in with three people at customer service all talking to each other and gossiping. There was an older woman probably in her late 60s was the only one helping people. As I wondered the store looking for paint products nobody offered to assist. While in the paint accessory aisle, there was a person working never once acknowledge me. Walk by the paint desk nobody acknowledged me did not have Man register only self check out. Nobody once acknowledged that I was there. Lowe's has gone way downhill, especially this one in Plant city. They got away from hiring people who knew what they were talking about and knew about building and construction, and are hiring young people with no training. Customer service is with Lowe's. I wish it would be better but it's not. I would avoid this location and drive anywhere else to go to a Home Depot or hell even Walmart. Horrible customer service. Went in for some some pellets. Gentlemen working in the back bathroom/shower/vanity section told me it was up front by the cashier's. Went up front and found the pallet, and while checking out, informed the cashier that I would like 3 bags of pellets, and pointed to the pallet of bags. Another cashier overheard me, gave me a look of disgust and told me they didn't have any for sale. After struggling with a delivery, from a out-source vendor, both Danielle and Ginger quickly addressed my issue and solved the problem. They even made the problem better by upgrading my undelivered purchased to a better item at no additional cost. It restored faith in local businesses to actually do the right thing and look out for the customer. I am definitely a loyal Lowe's customer now and will be giving them all my business. Do not buy anything from Lowe's. I canceled an order placed March 2 for $3466.15 using my debit card (cash purchase). It took them 5 seconds to take the money from my account. I canceled the order 3/22/2020. They did not have the cash to refund it. I called Lowe's customer service after 48 hours to ask where my money was. have had very bad experiences with Lowes in Plant City from their carpet installation. Their installers with Keller Interiors leave a lot to be desired. They do not stand behind their work and will price gouge you to fix the problems that they created. I would not recommend their installation sub contractors and will never use them again. The Lowes sales department (Mainly Mike) went above and beyond to try to correct this problem but Keller was not willing to correct their poor installation job. I went into Lowe's today to look for pest control supplies, after searching and searching I couldn't quite find what I was looking for, I went ahead and asked the first employee I ran into, Rob was the name I believe, who was extremely rude from the moment I asked, as I was asking him a simple question he gave me a big attitude as if I was annoying him signaling me to hurry up with his hand. Crazy right? After I asked all he could do was point in a direction and walk off without saying a word. Should be fired if it was up to me. If you don't like to help people why work at a place where helping people is a major portion of your job?? Ordered a load of lumber to be delivered. They did not have enough for delivery the next day. This was not a problem as I didn't need it until the following weekend. These idiots waited until the day before it was to be delivered to try and find the remainder even though it was clear the day it was ordered they needed to get more. I was given a bunch of rambling excuses how it was the cashiers fault, the times fault, everybody's fault except the managements. I have a worker showing up early Saturday morning to help with the install. I gave them the ultimatum that the lumber better be delivered on time and in full. We will see tomorrow, my wife better not waste a day waiting for them to fail again or they are going to have a very irate customer to deal with. Oh and their in line customer service never even responded from corporate so not caring about customers is apparently corporate culture. Every time I go to this place I find that nobody there has a clue about building supplies or customer service. Deliver made today from XPO. Delivery guy was pleasant and professional BUT they were originally scheduled between 10 and 2:30. Got there about 4. After I gave the store the ultimatum about getting al my delivery there they somehow found enough. Delivery company was ok but my comments about the store stand. It's rear that I have to ask anyone for help but when I have I didn't find anyone here to be very nice. Today I had to ask where to an attachment for my drill. Asked the Old guy that was marking up some discounted items. He barely looked to see what I was holding. Then gave me major attitude when he had to walk 5 steps from where he was to pick it off the shelf. Also had a key made a couple months ago... Again... Another old guy didn't really seem like he wanted to help. I was standing at the counter for a good 5 minutes before he stopped what he was doing to help me. Had to ask a younger guy in the paint section where to find something. He seemed a little overwhelmed but at least I got a your welcome after my thank you. Cashiers are always nice.... If you're there to purchase anything that you can't drag to a checkout station better bring your lunch because you might be there all day - and the further back you get in the store, the worse it gets. I've been coming to this Lowes for many years..I've always found what I was looking for. I've probably spent over $10,000 here over the years on various projects and always been happy. I've bought appliances, cabinets, carpet, tile, laminate floors and everything in between. Never a problem here. Customer service has always been great. If I had to say one bad thing it would be the check out lines are slow and not enough open on a weekend. They should have some form of self checkout like other stores. read more

Well don't go to the Plant City or Valrico Lowes if you need them to make a few tile cuts. At Valrico they were nice but had no clue on how to use a wet saw and proceeded to make a half dozen bad cuts. The tile is $32 a box. So we went to Plant City Lowes hoping to find better service but it was worse, the guy working the tile section was one of the rudest employees I've ever met and had a total attitude. He refused to even try. So we rented a wet saw and my wife who has never cut tile in her life did the four angled cuts we needed in 5 minutes. They need to get some more knowledgeable employees, but in particular Plant City needs to get some with a better attitude in the flooring department. read more
