I want to compliment Ken (in Flooring) and Catrina (in Paint) for all their help during my first visit to this store. They were very courteous and knowledgeable about the store and its merchandise. Ken did a fabulous job of recommending several carpet choices that should work with my height self-adjusting vacuum cleaner. He told me that I can take home (with a deposit) sample boards to check how my vacuum cleaner works on the large carpet sample while the other side of the board shows small pieces of all possible colors. A friend had new carpet installed recently and now cannot use their Dyson vacuum on it. I do not want the same problem. Thank you, Ken!!! We went to Lowes for a kitchen faucet. Simple. to avoid making the usual 4 trips in order to ensure we had all of the right products, we brought the faucet we were replacing and needed help. Nothing. Until Jerry from plumbing!!! He was terrific! He even helped with finding the right adapters...... We went to Lowe's today to return an item that we got in the wrong size and replace it. Customer Service took care of the return with no problem. We then wanted to place a special order for some stepping stones. She told us we would have to go to the garden department to do that. We did so and finally found an employee but he was unable to do the special order and said that all the supervisors were in a meeting but he would try to find someone to take the order. We waited at least 10 minutes and he did not come back in that time so we talked to another employee who also did not know how to do a special order. Finally the first employee came back and had us follow him inside the store where he tried to phone the person who might help us. He could not find them to he told us to go completely to the other end of the store to the Pro Desk to make the order. (My husband is 81 and walks very slowly so this was a great distance for him) We got there and the gentleman there was able to place our order for the stepping stones. Then we had to return to the Garden Department to get the replacement items that we wanted. When we got there a very heavy cart full of pipe was in front of the hardware cloth that we wanted and we could not move the cart for fear that the piles would fall all over the place. Could not find an employee anywhere so we proceeded to pick up a bag of quick set cement that we also needed and ask a female employee where the 5 gallon buckets were located. She said maybe try Aisle 12. There were no 5 gallon buckets on that aisle and when we saw her again she said I guess we don't have any. However we saw the blue 5 gallon buckets with Lowe's name on them being used as trash cans but no one knew where they were. So since we could not get the hardware cloth that we needed we decided that we really didn't need the cement either. The only positive thing in this whole visit was that we did get to order the stepping stones that we wanted however we had to walk the length of the store twice to get it ordered. At least the guy at that counter knew what he was doing. Lowe's employees need some better training and we could see no reason why Customer Service would not take our special order like at most stores. All in all a very frustrating experience there today!!! read more

I've been shopping at this location since they opened. I have supported them throughout the years with thousands of dollars spent at this store. Two weeks ago I was shopping and had about $400 in lumber and needed about $300 in different supplies from the garden department. They had closed the isle that I needed supplies on for replenishing some pallets of product. I did other shopping and isle was still closed. I waited about 15 minutes while the ride forklift driver was talking and continued to talk about personal stuff. About high school girlfriends and other crap! He made eye contact with me knowing I needed supplies. When all said and done I left a full cart full of lumber and other hardware in its place and proceeded to the front to tell a Manager. The manager asked me "what did he look like"? "Did I get his name"? Really? You should know who the hell is on your forklift and working in the garden department. I will never return to ANY Lowe's locations again in my lifetime and Neither will my family and friends! read more

My first experience purchasing online with Lowe's and having delivery from the Riverside store was EASY AND COMPLETELY SATISFYING!!! Best Buy Riverside could not deliver as promised after 5 weeks and I ended up having to file fraud charges on them with my credit card because they "couldn't refund my money" due to their system error. Anyway, I purchased on a Thursday the same size refrigerator, same brand from Lowe's. By Monday of the following week I had the promised email confirmation, on Tuesday, the next day, I have this big cold box in my apartment! 5 days vs 5 weeks...hmmm...lesson here - go to Lowe's, not only does it get delivered, but it gets there lickity split. The delivery is by an independant company A3T or something ( I really couldn't understand the name) they were GREAT! On time (early by 10 mins) had the unit in the house, doors installed, plugged in and leveled within about 15 minutes! The delivery guys were friendly and very accomodating! I don't know if they deliver other stuff, but if I'm ever in need, I will find out their correct name from the store. Overall: EXTREMELY PLEASED, SAVED MONEY ($100 approx), and COULD PLAN MY DELIVERY TIME - NO PROBLEM!!! read more

I used to be a Home Depot-or-Bust gal, but lately, I've been going to Lowe's for just about everything we need to remodel our bathroom and spare bedroom. The prices are reasonable and everything is so well organized in the store and easy to find. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Lowes, but I don't always get consistent customer service, which is unfortunate because people really depend on these guys to know what they're talking about and I'm one of them. I'm forgiving, though, so I'm still rating them 4 out of 5 stars. The parking lot is huge and I always manage to find a space that's not too far a hike from the store itself, so that's a huge bonus for my lazy behind ! I'm also going to say that they're inexpensive according to MY budget, and definitely in comparison to Home Depot. read more

Bought a Refrigerator and they tried to deliver an open box, damaged refrigerator. Tried to correct the problem with the store and all I got was sorry nothing I can do about it until the damaged one is returned to the store. We can then have the correct one delivered to you hopefully the next day. read more

Every time I go in this store I am yet to be greeted with a friendly smile or even asked if I needed any help. It seems like the employees are all walking around with tunnel vision and there is nobody else but them. Yesterday I was in this store to buy some over the door hooks. I stopped an employee after calling to him 3 times. He directed me to isle 30. Well, who would have thought the isles are all #'d parallel until you get to the garden, then they are #'d diagonal. Had to find help again. Low and behold, not on isle 30....go figure. I find another worker busy stocking or organizing on isle 30 who directs me to the next isle. You would think he would get up and help me to find the items like "good customer service" usually does. I find what I am looking for, except I only needed the single hook. I take it to him, show him and ask if they have a single over the door hook. He tells me no. I reiterated to him, you don't carry single hooks? Again, he said no, they only have the suction cup kind. So I went back to the isle and browsed more. Sure enough, I found white plastic single over the door hooks and 2 different kinds of polished metal single over the door hooks. One was identical to the double over the door hook I was holding in my hand. Perfect, exactly what I needed. Even swap meets give you better service that what I got. I was so tempted to go back and show the gentleman the other 3 single over the door hooks I found so that he could have better knowledge as to what they carry in their store, but refrained knowing I could always yelp! If he really did not know, he shouldn't have bothered to tell me. Maybe get up and help or call for assistance! read more

Came in on Saturday and spent almost $800 on a rug, gazebo and picnic table. The gazebo was in the store so we simply pointed at it and said "we want that exact one"... paid, got confirmation that it would be delivered on Sunday and the table would be assembled for $10 extra. Sunday comes.... 2pm and no delivery. We call.... guess what the delivery is scheduled for Monday! My husband keeps trying to talk to the delivery person to find out what happened but they just give him the run around and won't call back. Finally I decide to take the day off so we cab get the delivery. My husband then has to call to find out when this will take place. Monday they are scheduled between 12:30 and 2:30... they arrive at 1:45pm.... great. My husband gets home at 6pm and attempts to open the gazebo box... low and behold its the wrong color! We call Lowe's and they tell us to call delivery. Call delivery and they sound like a bunch of newbie kids having a house party. After several lost transfers, I finally call on my pissed off partners behalf. The guy who answers my call seriously sounds like he's half baked. He tells us he can reschedule a delivery. So I ask what we should do with the one we already have and he isn't too sure. He says something about us dropping it off at the store.... the entire call is hard to hear. I say "I'm not dropping it off when you delivered the wrong item." I prob into things and he is asking people around him. Finally he puts me on hold again. When he comes back he says something about scheduling a pick up for the wrong item, then refunding us and then giving us a number to schedule a drop off of the correct item. So I say, I'm gonna return this bitch in the store and get the correct one. He asks if I'm sure I want to do that? No I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure I wanted the thing delivered correctly on Sunday! I'm not about to wait another week though, hoping they get it right. I prefer to scream at people in person..... no but seriously, this company does NOT care. They don't even attempt to make things right and when you spend $700+ they damn well should! I could have bought this Allen + Roth gazebo on any website for less... but I purchased from Lowe-life's because I thought they would come through. read more

If I could give this place a ZERO star I would!! I received the worst customer service last night from an assistant manager. Demetrio Sandoval, if you do not know your own corporate policy and lack professionalism and customer service you have no right being titled an assistant manager!!!! I called in on 10/16/14 around 10 am asking if I could open a lowe's credit card with a temporary Driver License (The paper assigned directly from the DMV). The lady I spoke with asked her head cashier if it was ok. The head cashier stated that it was fine to do so. I also called corporate and asked, and they also stated that it was fine as long as I had other identification with a picture. I walked into lowe's last night at around 7:30 PM to proceed with applying for credit. The lady that was at the customer service desk asked the new head cashier on shift if it was ok to use a temp paper ID. The new head cashier on shift stated no. I then explained that I had called earlier this morning and I called corporate, and both corporate and the head cashier on the morning shift stated that it was ok. I then asked to speak to a manager. It took Mr. Sandoval 10 minutes to arrive at the customer service counter. When he arrived, he did not introduce himself or approach the manner in a professional way. Right off the bat, he told me that it was impossible and that I was missed informed by his head cashier from the morning shift. REALLY??? So you're telling me that corporate is wrong too?? I had a temporary DL that was administered from the DMV along with 5 other different Picture Identifications (Debit card, credit card, costco card, target card, and even my old college student id). He didn't even both looking at it!! I was already frustrated so I just asked for his business card. He handed me his business card and walked away before I could even finish talking. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! And this was coming from management. read more

This place really does a terrible job on customer service. The lady in paint is a sweetheart however. (MARTHA) she was a pleasure to meet and gave me excellent advice. However the store manager (Robert Morales) was very rude. Had no intentions to take care of his customers and barely saw to it that I was satisfied. It baffles me that lowes would trust a guy like that with managing a store. I would definitely not recommend coming in if you don't know what your looking for. And surely don't ask to speak with a manager. He's about as qualified as a 3rd grader. read more

Are you kidding me!!! We ordered a stove and a dishwasher a month ago (roughly), not only did they not deliver it on the date they promised but their policy is to call you the day before and give you a four hour window. Doesn't sound too bad, until you call the store at 6:00 at night , the night before, because you haven't heard anything and find out that, according to them, they have until 9:00 at night to give you their 4 hour window.... Then we get a call that they will be delivering the items "between 8:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. " the day AFTER their SECOND "guaranteed" delivery. Speechless. This store deserves their low rating. I've shopped at this store since day 1. I just bought a dryer on line from them, had it delivered next day with no problems. Talked to appliance department a couple times and it was delivered when they said it would be. Very fast, courteous people. Pre Rusty McMartin - Order pre Custom Doors worth Up to $1800 Worth of Materials!!! Were suppose to be delivered on May 10th and it is now May 16th ... Inqured about the doors .... Numerous Times.. Spoke with Mary - She said she would leave a note on Socca's Computer and he has yet to call me. About the Delivery. Then.... Called Mari Back today.. (May 16th) and she was surprised he had no contacted me. So, then I asked to speak to a manager and the line got cut off. Therefore, i called back again a it took at 10 mins and 3 different people to get me to leave a note with a random lady on the front line to have a manager get a hold of me. So, needing the doors for my home. And my Wife is about to rip me a new one!!! My contractors needing the doors to install ... i paided 79$ plus tax for delivery .... STILL NO PHONE CALL !!! THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE $79.00 DELIVERY CHARGE ITS ABOUT THE FACT OF ACCOUNTABILITY!!! THEY DONT CALL YOU BACK AND THESE ARE SALES REPS. !!! I came in yesterday to make an exchange and I could not have received better customer service! All of the employees were courteous and very helpful. Jon B. was awesome! He unloaded the mirror (not too heavy, but very awkward), found my replacement and reloaded it into my car without me even having to ask him to! While I was waiting for them to find the other mirror he offered for me to have a seat and could not have been more professional or polite. I work in the hospitality business and he has excellent customer service skills. I can't thank him enough. There were people in line but not once did he make me feel rushed. Lowe's has a very competent, efficient staff and I'll be staying away from Home Depot from now on! read more

We wanted to purchase a new refrigerator today memorial weekend at Lowe's. We get to the register yo pay and my debit card declined the $2875.76. I thought I had hit my daily limit for atm. So we ran it as credit, in which it also was declined. I called my bank asking to increase my limit for this purchase and they said that Lowe's has all ready pulled $2722.16. I was in shock and asked the sales associate why they would decline the charge, but take less out of my account. She had no idea. She went to talk with the manager Demetrio about what happened. She comes back apologizing and saying that she can't do anything until the credit card company they use opens up on Tuesday. Keep in mind it's Sunday on the biggest sale day of the year. We were less than happy with what she was saying. We knew that she couldn't do anything, so we asked for a manager. Demetrio came over with attitude and expressed that there nothing he can do and we were just out of luck. I have shopped at this Lowe's since it opened and today is the last day I will ever come to this business. I couldn't believe the no care attitude of the store manager. I scheduled tile installation after a friend told me she had good experiences using Lowes for kitchen remodels. Big mistake.I haven't even had the tile installed and I am already so over the experience, I will never give Lowes my business again. First they gave me the wrong estimate for materials and after I had already paid called me back and asked for an additional $500! Ok fine, I just want the project done already and they offered a 20% discount. So I pay the money, but ask to speak with the manager to relay my dissatisfaction. After holding for 10 minutes I'm told the manager is not picking up her page. Very professional. Today I received a call advising that the grout is not going to be delivered until April 21st, 2 weeks from now! How the hell is a building supply store out of building supplies? Needless to say I am not happy. Lowes will not be getting my business again and I will be telling everyone I know about my poor experience dealing with them. read more
