There's a reason this Lowes has a much lower average rating than all the others in the area. Aira gave us the worst customer service EVER. She was the rudest person I've ever met. A couple days after buying a gold pendant light, we decided to go with silver accents for our kitchen remodel instead. I went to Lowes to return this light fixture.... It was never opened, still sealed in the box like we purchased it. Aira then said she "couldn't" take it back because it was from another Lowes. Wth???? I purchased it from Lowes and now I'm at a Lowes, am I not? She said they only take returns from the same store and to take my return back to the corona location. BS. What ticked me off even more was the way she threw the receipt back at me and called next. I happened to be at this location because I was shopping with my mom. She couldn't believe it when I told her, so she took the box and receipt from me and went back to the customer service desk. Another lady helped her and she returned it with no questions asked. Obviously, Lowes allows employees to make up their own rules.. and some of them just want to take their miserable lives out on the customers... If she was nice, maybe okay I would not been upset. But she was SO rude with everyone in the line. It's never okay to be rude to customers. It's never okay to make up your own policy's. We bought a fixer upper and have purchased thousands of dollars worth from Lowes and Home Depot the last few weeks... Now I know where to take my business. They need to train the customer service employees to help customers professionally. I had to wait over an hour to receive an ordered in store item. They couldn't find my order and finally did later after I kept asking what the status was. I will contact their headquarters to provide my feedback. Management must train employees and these negative reviews can impact the company to go out of business! I am willing to remove my review if a manager will address my concern. read more

I ordered a washer and dryer on the 25th of March, it was a "special order" I only went through Lowe's because they offered installation... my appliance was delivered on the 9th of April, but the 3rd party delivery could not install because I did not order brand new connections that I was not made aware of at my purchase as the home had connections. I then went into the store and purchased the connections and the store arranged for installation the next day...the installation seemed to have went well however when I went to wash a load the washer would not work. Due to it being after business hours I called Lowe's Corporate number at 6am to arrange for assistance. The corporate office arranged for the installers to return, however the machine was stilll behaving in a defective manner. I then called the store and immediately asked to speak to a manager to prevent retelling the situation over and over... "ADAM" answered stating that the 3rd party could pick the item up on Monday as they were closed tomorrow which is Easter and I could "just get my refund and buy something else", I explains it was a special order and I had been through so many hoops already as a customer could something else be done? He replied "well you can just bring it in the store yourself and just bring it in the store and get your money back". I then stated "I am not sure why you are giving me so much attitude as I am not giving any to you, after all tomorrow is Easter and as essential workers you definitely deserve the day off. He then responded with "well I don't know what to tell you". I simply then asked for his name and ended the call. As the installer stood there in shock with the way he spoke to me. I understand we are all stressed at this time but it gives no one the right to be inconsiderate and rude. I am a single parent who had to move during this pandemic and as a teacher I am as patient as they get but after over $1400 spent at Lowe's and still having a broken machine Lowe's you have forever lost a customer. As a former employee and Manager at Nordstrom you should properly train ADAM on being an effective manager, because he represented your company very poorly. read more

I bought 68 lockable mailboxes from this store for my Home Owners Association. When my order came in they delivered them free of charge, however one was damaged and one came without a key. I went into the store on 08/24/15 after being told by a nice lady on the phone I could make an exchange even though i lost my receipt. Upon entering the store, i walked up to customer service and was given a snotty attitude when I said i didn't have my receipt. She also stated she had no way to look up my receipt because I had paid with a check. I told her the name of the associate who helped me but I guess it was to much trouble to call him up since she could not reach him on the phone in his dept. I asked for a manager then she said, "Do you want the manager or the person who helped you?" I replied I just want to make an even exchange. I happen to look down and read a sticker that said they could find a receipt by typing in a phone number for payments made by credit card and checks. When I asked her about it she got real authoritative and said "Only credit cards " i then pointed at the sticker and said, "It says and checks" while pointing at the sticker... She typed in my phone number and found my receipt. How about that, if you actually know what your doing you might find something! I gave this store 3 stars because the associate who helped me Matt Terry had great customer service skills and was able to get me a discount due to the large order. Great refund policy, military discount 10%, checkout fast, well stocked, decent nursury fresh stock typically, paint dept. excellent, hardware helpful, plumbing electrical and limber, concrete sometimes hard to find help. Not consistent with service, some employees better than others, but typical for a big box store. Parking lot partially shaded so if your lucky you can park in shade. Ample parking way too many handicap parking spots that rarely get even 1/4 full. I keep their phone number on my iPhone so if I cannot find something it is faster to call the store than find help at times. Especially weekends. That part could improve. A lowes customer service card is a smart idea since every purchase is tracked electronically. Great if you lose a receipt and need to exchange something or refund an item (purchase record will be there). read more

Mister, I WANTED BRASS - so I guess that makes me a "nobody" If you don't have it - you don't have to be a jerk about it dude. You might even try to suggest options - or some alternative locations. I bought a string of bulbs for my patio in backyard but one of the bulbs was broken. I didn't know this of course until I got home and opened package. When I saw this I went close the box when all the bulbs fell out from the bottom breaking two more bulbs. When I went to put bulbs back in box I cut myself and had to put a bandaid on. I returned the box to the store and asked to speak to a manager because clearly someone had returned the bulbs I just bought and the associates jus threw it back on the shelf for purchase, failing to check the product to make sure nothing was wrong w it like a broken bulb or something. A manager by the name of David came out and I explained their failure to properly do business and train their associates caused me to cut myself and all he said was ok I'll let the other manager know. All he did was have someone refund my money. Terrible service and it doesn't address my injury. I will never do business w Lowes again! Horrible business! read more

Went there twice today, early a.m. to purchase a new washer and dryer, waited and waited while the ONLY customer service person finished up with another customer, finally sat in the chairs in front after being told 10 minutes earlier that he would be right with us. A man asked about an item in the back and the sales person ignored us and left to help him. We finally walked out and went to Pacific sales, bought a washer and dryer and decided on a freezer too in less than 20 minutes. Came back later in the day HUGE mistake, needed some tile for a remodel, finally asked an employee walking by if he could get someone to help us, he pointed towards the back and said he is helping someone else and will be with you soon. I walked to the back AND NO ONE WAS THERE. Lazy liar. Done, finis, never again, two separate departments, two different times in the same day, they don't give a crap about their customers, horribly run operation, I mean you are in the business of selling things, right? Came here to look for chalk board paint and some pvc pipes. The store seemed well stocked but I had to walk around and look for someone to help me and I felt that when I was asking my questions I was taking the guy from something he'd rather be doing. I was anle to locate the items I needed and off I went. On my way out I saw a flyer for the weekend kids club. You must register in order to participate but don't get too excited for your little ones because registration is currently closed due to all their upcoming classes full.. Eric is the electrical department manager who did not the most important thing for me as a customer. Customers go to Lowes because it is supposed to be homeowner oriented. I asked which twist plug matches because I noted it was quite confusing with so many different style. This department manager for the electrical section told me to go look for myself. Really?!!! As I am doing a kitchen remodel / and future home projects, I simply cannot recommend the Riverside Lowes based on their lack of customer service. The customer service leaves much to be desired. We went to return an item because it turned out we didn't need it (we'd gotten 2). As we waited at the cutomer service line, the employees ignored us, and the line that began to form behind us, and continued chattering away. Finally, one of them could be bothered to help us when her little buddy wandered off. The previous day, when we'd originally purchased the item, the employees had also acted as though they had better things to do than answer a question about the location something. Also, couldn't bothered to help lift a heavy, oversized item at checkout, instead busy gossiping among themselves. Come on girls - if you don't want your job, leave it to someone who will! The experience I had here was horrible. I was looking at the tool boxes and couldn't find them. I could not find anybody to help me. 20 minutes later I located them and a lot of them had no prices on them. Standing there disgusted, an employee walked by and I asked for help. Just left the store knowing I should have went to Home Depot in the first place. I went to purchase a shelving unit that is carried at the HD and Lowes. Exact same unit. Exact measurements and specs. Lowes manager refused to price match because one had was HD brand and one was Lowes. I'm sure they were made in the same manufacturing plant just boxed in store specific labels. I know HD would have matched the price. I wasn't willing to spend $10 more at Lowes on the exact same item. My mistake for wasting my time even bothering to visit Lowes. read more

Came here on labor day to buy two dual flush toilets. We live very close by and usually go to Lowe's or HomeDepot for our home necessities. However, on this occasion we were in the plumbing area for about 45 minutes trying to find help with getting a toilet. When we finally found someone by the name of ERIC FROM PLUMBING we were very offended by his lack of customer service. He told us that the toilets we wanted were out of stock and that there was nothing he could do. Yet, when another couple came by to get the exaxt same toilet that we were just inquiring about, he quickly said, "Well I don't see anymore here but let me see if there are any in stock and if not I could see if we can order it for you from another store". My family and I were deeply offended by his lack of helpfulness with us and apparent discrimination against us. We were prepared to spend at least $600-$700 for new toilets today at Lowes however, this completely put a bad taste in our mouths and we decided to go a different route instead. Are you not training these kids? why don't they know where anything is or how to find someone that does? so I'll start with the skinny guy with glasses kinda looks like a Latino Napoleon dynamite but with straight black hair and not as tall. He's meandering around the garden section. I asked if they had a shrub I was looking for his reply a very rude and flippant "no not right now". It was surprising to me because it's not a popular shrub or anything. So I kept looking and eventually found it ... a ton of it. He could have just said he didn't know or told me to ask someone else. (Sometimes we don't know we're stuff is I get it) but instead he just lied. If you ever read this kid you're waaaaack. Then I asked a young woman where I'd find wire cutters she said "I think their with the tools" I asked what aisle and instead of giving me the number she points at a general direction. "It's towards That way you'll see it" "that way" was more than half the store aisles. She at least wasn't rude about it but equally as useless. I eventually found that too after wondering around the store. They aren't really enforcing the mask thing a older customer kept walking up and down the aisles on her phone no mask on yapping away spreading her germs several associates that were chit chatting saw her didn't say anything and one was helping another customer who also was not wearing a mask which ordinarily wouldn't bother me but in this case on top of your shitty customer service I gotta risk and catching the Rona??? Nah! I ended up not buying the things I needed there except the plant. I got everything else at Home Depot instead. I'm not a big hardware person so unless you are and you know this store well I wouldn't recommend it. Go to a mom and pop and if you have to go to Home Depot instead their customer service is leagues better. read more

Worst home improvement store in Riverside. I normally shop Home Depot but was in the area and decided to give Lowes a try. I was remodeling a bathroom so went in with the intentions to spend some money. After the paint guy was rude to my wife I went over and he would not look at me. A lady came by and offered to help after seeing the paint guy being rude. She said she knew nothing about paint and tried to get a manager. The manager never came out of his office to help. In the past, Lowe's was my families "go to", but a recent bad experience has changed our minds. September 2019 we purchased a $42 door handle (Kwikset) for our daughters renovated bathroom. After some unfortunately life events (2 family deaths, a job loss etc.) we never got around to installing it, so we dug up the receipt and attempted to return it in March 2020. Lowe's recently changed their return policy to a "90 day return". They tried to give me 1/2 of the money I paid for this item! Mind you, this same item is still on their shelves and the item that I attempted to return is pristine, unopened in its original box. I walked out of Lowe's with my Kwikset & receipt; called Lowe's head quaters in N.Carolina who did absolutely nothing to resolve my issue! No sympathy! Lowe's does not comprehend customer service!!! Lowe's, you guys need to improve your customer service, because it stinks right now! While our sales rep was amazing, the services we actually got weren't. Not only were we told everything we bought (a washer and dryer set) was in stock, it could be delivered the next day! Awesome, we thought. When the items were delivered the next day, we found out the washer was damaged pretty badly. The delivery guys told us that they would have to special order the washer. So we wait a week and finally we get a call that our new washer is on the way to be installed. When the delivery men get here, they are shocked to see that we own a dryer, because that is what they brought us. A dryer. We needed our washer. They told us that we would be called very soon about this matter and we were not. We called the store and were told that we would receive a call soon. What kind of customer service is this? Two times now I've thought I was getting my washer and two times Lowes has failed us. Is no one checking product? Is no one checking what they ordered? Living without a washer for one week is terrible and I can't believe that Lowes is okay with this type of treatment of their paying customers. read more

My husband and I are really happy with the installation and remodeling dept at the Magnolia location of Lowe's. They are terrific with follow up and customer service. We have had at least 10 installations completed by them and a major bathroom remodel and we have no complaints. I used Empire Carpet install and they were horrible on customer service and backing up their work! They refuse to fix their mistakes. Please shop Riverside and consider using Lowe's on Magnolia, Ken and his associates won't let you down. read more
