Lowe's installed carpet of over 7k in 2018. All of a sudden the carpet has become rolly and hilly in all our upstairs bedrooms. Lowe's manager Sean told me to call Stainmaster who stands behind their product. Called them after being bounced around and spoke to Chris in installation. WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I told him I want to have someone come check it out. He said no, it was mine to fix. Even though he hadn't seen it etc. Then admitted that the tack materials they use arent good and give way. So, I said, this was a bad install? You're using cheap materials. You guys should at least come take a look. He said no. Then when I asked to speak to someone who was in charge, Chris took my info and said the manager would call next week as he was on vacay, but refused to tell me the managers name who would be calling. So he didnt know the name of the person who was on vacation and would be back next week? LOTS of lying going on over simple things. He went in circles with me. Unfortunate occurrence today, as I went to Lowe's Roseville to return a couple of unused small items totaling just $20. I was met at the Customer Returns counter by Mary who greeted me as I presented my 2 return items along with the receipt. Upon review, Mary told me my items are still stocked yet I was just beyond the 90-day return policy and Lowe's would not honor the return. I was unaware of the strict 90 day return policy and mad at myself for not grabbing these return two items to a few weeks ago when I was at Lowe's, so I asked her to check with a supervisor or manager for an exception for the 13 days over the 90 days limit. She called a few people, yet all were busy. After waiting at the counter for a manager override, I called the store asking AI for a manager only to have the phone ring about 30+ times, then it rolled to Mary and she answered my call. After waiting over 15 minutes for assistance a man named Will came over and said "there are no exceptions to the 90 days return policy, good bye" I was not happy and left unset and their unwillingness to entertain my request. My next stop was Home Depot to return product I purchased at Home Depot. I had receipts. I had serval items to return, and I was worried if Home Depot had the same strict 90-day return policy, because certain items were purchased more than 90 days ago. Linda, the Home Depot Return's Associate who helped me scanned a couple of the receipts as I looked at others to find the return item. I had a stack of Home Depot purchase receipts and continued to look for each items purchase. She said, "don't worry about finding the specific receipts, I can give you credit for all the item assuming they are a current stocked." The contrast between these two mega retailers couldn't be different. I was a fan of the customer service attitude of Home Depot as I commenced shopping with the Store issued credit. On the other hand, I did not believe I was asking for a huge exception to return 2 items 13 days exceeding the policy. Lowe's lack of flexibility on, what I perceive as a simple request for $20 of unused and in stock merchandise, only shows that. The contrast of my experience of a similar situation at the two closely located Roseville stores could not be any starker. I will not be shopping at the Roseville Lowe's for the rest of my life. Rarely do I write a review, especially a negative one, but... here it is. My husband and I went to Lowe's to look for kitchen blinds. We found the Blinds department and eventually located Alison, who greeted me with the full up‑and‑down like she was TSA and I was attempting to smuggle in a felony-level fashion crime. She was rude, dismissive, and clearly offended by my existence. She answered my questions with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to read a warranty manual, so I took the hint and went to find my husband, who was looking at toolboxes. He'd found a floor model but wanted an unopened boxed one. Easy enough, right? We asked a sales rep for help, a man with one foot in the grave and the other already clocked out. He glanced at us, muttered "go get a cart," and drifted away ready for his next cup of coffee. We made our way to the cashier and asked if we could buy the boxed version instead of the floor display. She said yes, took our money, and told us to "stand over there." So we did. For ten minutes. Just standing. Waiting. I attempted to ask BILL a sales rep to check on the toolbox, and his response was "no reason to add more confusion." Eventually we found a sales lady who said she "used to be the manager," which briefly gave us hope. Spoiler: false hope. She walked us to customer service and abandoned us like a grocery cart in a windy parking lot. At customer service, two sales associates who looked like they were in the 7th grade were, trying to turn off an alarm. They eventually threw it in a drawer. One of them attempted to help us and told us to follow him. We did. Mistake. By then we were done and just wanted a refund. Back at returns, we met DEBRA, the guardian of the returns counter and apparently the final boss of customer service. She was a Hater right away just like Alision. Debra informed us she couldn't return our money without a manager. Fine. She was asking me all these questions about who I bought it from.... she implied we were "up to no good" and basically hinted we stole the items. Ma'am... we literally just bought them. The receipt was still warm. After another 10 minutes, Manager KEN arrived. KEN, who apparently thinks he's starring in his own sitcom, punched in a code, looked at me, and said, "We wouldn't sell that at that price." Well KEN, let me enlighten you: YOU DID. By the end, the whole thing felt less like shopping and more like watching a reality show called "Lowered Expectations at Lowe's" starring employees who were either half‑dead, half‑aware, and half a brain. read more

You won't believe this. Five times. We bought a patio furniture set from the floor. It was supposed to be delivered on five different days. It still is not here. What is really bad is that after the first two missed dates (no one called to explain why they didn't show up) I went into the store and spoke with Joe, an assistant manager. He seemed very competent, apologized, and said we would receive it last Friday. It did not arrive. When I called, someone in delivery apologized and said it would be delivered on Saturday. Again, it did not arrive. Someone called to apologize and said they had not loaded it. He told me it would be delivered on Monday (today). It told him that I had stayed home on the prior four delivery attempts and I would not be home on Monday, but they could enter the side gate and put it by the pool. He said he would make a note of it. Guess what? It was not delivered. I got a text from the delivery guy saying that he tried to reach me, but would reschedule because I didn't answer my phone. Five times. I have now canceled the purchase. It they had any class, they would give it to us for free. read more

I don't shop at Lowe's often. I am a Home Depot guy. I had to go to Lowes today because I needed some trim quick. Lowes is the only place you can get it. I located the trim quick, alas it's in a box and the box has 4 screws that need to be removed. So I went looking for a worker. They are all in groups talking and chatting. There's a woman employee who is just going around like she is walking for exercise. Frankly this place has more workers than customers. The irony is no worker wants to work and help the customers. Today is also their earnings and the CEO was forecasting slower growth for 2026. Well the workers are helping bring down the sales. I wonder what the manager is doing without checking on he's workers? Well Home Depot is just down the street and it's very busy. read more

Went to my first Lowes in Roseville to purchase a large number of cabinet hinges and knobs and handles for drawers for our kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers. Did not have any of the knobs their website said they had. Same with handles. This store had about 1/3 of the hinges needed. The hinges were the most important as the newly painted cabinets were scheduled for installing. Had to go to 3 different stores to get the amount needed. As for knobs, I could not find enough after going to 3 locations. I chose Lowes as opposed to Home Depot as I thought the service and availability would be better. That was a very bad decision. So, I had to order online with Lowes. The order arrived a day later than I was told, which continued my problems with Lowes in genera. As I need over 50 knobs, I order more than I needed to be on the safe side and since they had 2 boxes of 25 each, I thought buying that way would save everyone time and cost. Another mistake. I returned all the product that I over purchased to the Roseville and again discovered that Lowes has no clue! They would not let me return all the knobs because I was not returning the entire box. Their terrible inventory software and/or input from staff would not allow to return individual, even though they sell them individually. While the lady that started to help me was nice, she had no clue and could not even find part numbers for the other products I purchased online. The manager was a little help, but all in all a terrible experience. Back to Home Depot where the service was actually much better and much to my surprise. Not shopping at Lowes ever again. Great experience using this Roseville Lowe's for two upcoming projects. The lumber department is well stocked with quality wood at competitive prices. It was easy to locate all of the sizes of fir that was needed for a patio cover along with the redwood for fencing. Numerous options in the paint department to get what you need in a variety of price ranges. The lumber department was so well organized, neat, and clean. The loading carts are always available in the lumber department next to the wood to make it convenient to grab what is needed. The Pro Desk staff at this store was very helpful in answering questions and getting me started in the right direction. After creating the order and needing home delivery I was given several options for a delivery date. The evening before delivery Lowe's called and gave me a window of about four hours for the truck to arrive, followed by the delivery driver calling thirty minutes prior to arrival with a firm time he would drop the material off. He arrived exactly as scheduled and was very helpful in putting the wood in the most convenient location possible. All of the associates at Lowe's that I dealt with were very professional, courteous, patient, and helpful. The Pro Dek staff really made the entire transaction go smoothly. The order was processed and delivered exactly as promised. I have over 20 years experience using Lowe's and have never been disappointed in the service or quality of the products sold. Was gonna drop $5-6k on a new I stalled shed today but it seems the phone operator wanted to bicker about me "missing" my phone appt. First of all my appointment was at 3:30 PM and the installer called me at 3:10 which is not 3:30 PM. I was available from 3:25 to 3:45 PM and receive no call or call back after I left a message at 3:30 PM which was the time of my appointment. I politely asked to speak to the manager and the operator rudely said the manager is not available. If this is the type of service I'm getting before I even pay for a shed. I can only imagine if I run into an issue down the road with the shed how I will be treated no thank you I'll take my business elsewhere. The store was not busy, there were employees standing around the store talking with each other, but no one could help. They have a lot of bad reviews, because they just don't care. It went quite well yesterday. Albeit my last visit was less than optimal where an employee at the garden center was very controlling with us when we brought a tool to compare some items, as it was the only way to accurately buy the what we needed. Most times employees were chill about it but not that time. This time while I was by the shelves waiting for my family, after about 20 minutes I walked to the side to let an employee through who was there a while before me, but then they suddenly stopped like mid walk and loudly asked if I needed assistance, they seemed suspicious of me and it wasn't my intention. I said I was good. It was likely a misunderstanding, and the interaction was slightly tolerable than my previous visit. Generally, I don't have bad experiences with employees, but it's a good idea to talk about it. I still wanted to give five stars because I had a much better experience this time finding everything I lacked. I found some grow lights that were on clearance at like 3 bucks each which were previously 14-15$. Haven't tried it out yet but hopefully it works. These employees do a pretty good job, they can't walk two aisles without someone asking them for help, I've seen multiple customers being very rude to these guys and gals, and they keep showing up to work. Beautiful garden center! Lots of great plants and unique varieties. Just be careful that some of the plants are in front wrong boxes (I spotted a tomato plant in a section that was marked "strawberries). Most of the plants look very healthy and strong but there are some that are on their last legs. I guess you'll find them in their clearance section when they need some extra TLC. I had fun walking around, looking at all the gorgeous plants while my husband got some PVC piping inside. Definitely a nice Lowe's. We've been to a few that don't have much of a garden center but this Fairway location has a lovely one. read more

I recently had a security screen installed. I paid over $600 to have it installed. I was up charged for a simple little bottom plate $81 to install it then to top it off the screen has flaws. I have been trying to work with customer service department and their warranty department for two weeks I was told someone came out to my home and looked at it And no one showed up because I have a ring camera which showed no one came. Secondly, I have spoken to three people on their customer service line who swore to me that they would send me a email Warranty paperwork to fill out never received it. I will be on my fourth phone call today to get some help. I would never buy anything from Lowe's again I will go back to Home Depot. Customer service with Lowe's is absolutely horrible. I've also asked to speak to a manager and have received no phone call or have been able to speak to anyone over the phone. I am going to the store today to the Roseville fairways Store to see if I can get some help there. So my advice is do not purchase from Lowe's. Customer service needs major improvement. read more

I usually go to Home Depot but I decided to make my first stop here. They had so many options on bathroom light fixtures for my vanity... aghh! couldn't decide. I walked down the aisle back and forth for a long time checking out each fixture but couldn't find a design that appealed to me. The prices ranged from the mid $20's to somewhere in $200's. Lo and behold, I finally found a simple more modern and contemporary light bar replacing my archaic fixture from the homebuilder. The LED makes a big difference and lasts longer than regular bulb. Next order of business... finding hardware for my cabinet doors. You know how I was with the vanity lights, well, I took just as long looking for the right door handles. The design I like and the brushed nickel finish I was looking for has to match. Found them! and they had enough in stock... I needed 13 pieces. I found customer service here very good. They were available when I had questions and were very helpful. Good experience. I actually purchased 14 pieces of the cabinet door handles just in case. I've never had trouble with online purchases, and typical p/u is ready LONG before promised time. Staff in garden supply always friendly and helpful. Today I made (memorial garden) rose purchases, so I was pretty emotional when I got to check stand (I'm sure other customers thought I was off my rocker)--somehow, checker KNEW and commented, "How special, who cares what others think, you're good person." Kind and thoughtful- helped me load my truck, too. I typically have a much better success rate with plants purchased HERE, rather than local "competitor" garden center, too! read more

Had to replace our water heater.... Have to say the guy who helped us get it on the floor was helpful and funny. He only works one day a week there but he was constantly helping everyone. Not complaining at all. The supervisor at the return was a bit salty when we came in but because it took forever to get our order rung up... her customer service side came out. WARNING!!! Armando Garcia at the Lowes in Roseville is pushing a $29 "tune up" inspection of your air conditioner. The "tune up" is being done by Buehler. Buehler is a low class, garbage company. DO NOT sign up for this $29 offer like we did. After we signed up, a Buehler representative called us to cancel the day we signed up for, and rescheduled for the next day between 2 and 6 PM. 2PM came. No technician. 3 PM. No technician. 4 PM. No technician. 5PM, no technician. At 5:30 we called Beuhler. Some low life numbskull based in Florida answered the phone. The nimwit said a technician will be calling "shortly." We asked him to define "shortly." He said again, "shortly. 6 PM. No technician called, not "shortly" or ever. Buehler is pure garbage. If Armando approaches you, ignore him or tell him no thanks. I went to Lowe's today to pick up a Christmas tree stand, unfortunately they are sold out EVERYWHERE in the area. I went to multiple locations prior to ending up at the Roseville store after the Citrus Heights store told us they had Christmas tree stands in stock. I spoke to the woman at the customer service kiosk who was trying to be helpful and sell us one of the ones on display outside after I asked about them. She called one of the supervisors by the name of Parker. This man was a terrible excuse for customer service and the Christmas spirit. I have two small kids that I am hoping to surprise today when they get home from school and daycare, and Parker felt that his district managers mattered more than the Christmas spirit of young children and he told me so himself. When I asked if he had children, he told me no. I said, that's why you don't understand what this means to kids. He slapped his hands together and said "merry Christmas" and walked away. That is by far the most disrespectful and inappropriate way to go about handling customers. I've worked in customer service for many years, and it's always about the customer and making them happy because those are the people who bring funding to the store you wish to keep open. We drove down the street to Home Depot, and asked the same question, can we have one of the stands on display? And the people at the Home Depot in Roseville were willing to accommodate to our needs and sold us one of those display stands. 3/5/2020: I purchased Freesia and Wild Lilac beautifying my property's landscape; next day, I was shocked discovering the Freesias I planted are still alive and are remaining bright yellow! I'm absolutely elated knowing Buck Owens, Jan Doe nor Bambi will devour the Freesia flowers; however, I'm unsure if, the Wild Lilac will survive this family's voracious appetites. Aside and ironically, the Freesias costed $4.98 per plant so, I bought seven plants while the last surviving Wild Lilac I found was on CLEARANCE for $3.00! YAY~The Wild Lilac was waiting for me to buy! In my devious, dastardly plot: I plan planting green onions AND garlic in between the Freesia flowers and Wild Lilac insuring Buck Owens, Jan Doe nor Bambi will not inhale any of the flowers I plant on my property's landscape! Overall, I'm hoping the Freesias will grow well, flourish, and continue brightening with a color palette explosion in order, improving the boring, sidewalk landscape on my property. By the way: I intend growing the Wild Lilac into a tree rather than a shrub or a bush which will elevate, heightening my property's curb appeal greatly. read more
