Everything seemed super smooth sailing. We were told by 3 different people throughout the store that the CareFree package they offer is $375 and you get that money back in store credit if you don't utilize the services after 5 years. They allow up to 48 hours before delivery to make any adjustments to your order which is great. However, if you need assistance you have to talk to a customer service line and there's no store number. We went in to the store after attempting to talk to customer service and found out that the person we spoke to on the phone cancelled our order. We were told that one of the pieces in our order was on backorder and wouldn't be available for two months and they couldn't reserve any of the pieces until they made it to the warehouse. However, the sales manager made a comment that some of those pieces might already be promised to other orders, which is slightly confusing since we were told the pieces couldn't be reserved. After looking at both receipts, we noticed that the total for the carefree package was different and not $375, which was initially promised in store by several people. We then went back into the store to ask questions and were told that the carefree package is actually 15% of your purchase and not a flat fee of $375. We were also told that if you do not use the service within the five years, you don't automatically get that money back in store credit. You have to spend double of what the credit is before being awarded the store credit. For example, if the 15% comes out to $300, you have to spend $600 in store in order to activate the $300. None of this was told to us when we bought the couch .We wanted to go home and measure our living room before buying the couch to make sure it fit, however the man we dealt with pressured us into buying it by saying "just order it now and you have 48 hours to make changes to the order". There is a lot of fine print that they do not explain to you. If there's anything you get out of this, let it be that you make sure you ask questions about what the fine print is before they take your money! Remember, they care about making the sale, not about customer service and a quality experience.

This place is a joke and a complete scam. the east indian prick who sits at his desk wearing a…read moreshirt two sizes to small so he looks big is the main culprit. we went to buy a couch and was shown a couch for 2500 that was to be built and came with a lifetime warranty. they have you fill out paperwork for the couch and have you sigh paperwork to get you in the system. we chose to finance it through UOWN a company they use as well as SNAP finance so that the entire amount is covered. so you fill out the application and they submit the application to see what you are approved for on the spot as they that way they can see how much they can get you for as they try to sell you extra stuff like more pillows etc. then they talk about delivery and when a good time to deliver it would be. they try to arrange for next day delivery and then you realize "if its being built how is it being delivered next day". then they try to push a couch that they say is the same as the one they sell you on in the store but they can get it to you if you want the same couch but a different color. even offer a small discount to entice you to make a quick decision. even after you tell them no thanks they still push you in that direction. so we said we would think about it and come back the next day to finalize things and then we left. we were there for a couple hours already picking out fabric, comfort level etc. once we left we chose not to go back because of how pushy they are and how they try to get you sold on one thing but try to give you something else. a few days later the prick submitted the paperwork like we were still buying it to the finance companies SNAP and UOWN and they get paid for products sold while you get a bill from both companies and money begins being deducted from your account. now you have to deal with the finance companies and noy them as they tell you its not their problem. we shall see about that. UOWN argues and you owe them or they will make it seem like you are the one who's done something wrong but SNAP takes care of things, at least so far, by cancelling the fraudulent transaction. how can you be charged for something that you don't even have in your possession? your credit gets messed up and if you budget bills and expenses, they will also be thrown off as the finance companies take the money from your account. the prick and his shop get paid, your problem is with the finance companies and you get screwed out of your money and if you don't know how to deal with this you are consequenced by all of them as they work together but no one tells you how to resolve the matter. pretty creative way to cover tracks using SNAP and UOWN. at least SNAP is willing to cancel and reimburse charges as they know what they are doing, you just have to call them out. the other company pretends that its your fault and use your emotions against you by getting you to argue and that way they can say you were irate or whatever they note in their system to suggest you were so unpleasant they had to hang up. make sure your first move is to call your bank and cancel all payments to those two companies as well as the furniture store as they will still try to get you for 250 dollar delivery fee. never go to this place to buy anything. they talk about customers after they leave the store and are rude and disrespectful. if they cant get you into a situation like this they don't want to sell you anything. the same ghost couch in the "warehouse" has probably been sold a hundred times. don't be the next victim. next is going to be informing the BBB and all other governing bodies who should be working hard to eliminate fraudulent businesses like this from existing while making sure people like this do not have the ability to scam other while denying them a business license or something of that magnitude. someone should tell dude that he needs a shirt and pants that fit him not his little brother and if he intends to do shady business what goes around comes around fraudster. you won't be there for long cause fines add up like finance charges. next will be authorities so that place can be dealt with. so many cases waiting to be discovered.

We both have nothing but good things to say about Jennifer and the Ethan Allen order / delivery support people. Jennifer is everything you want in a designer. First off, she is an excellent listener. That's so important when you are trying to get another person to understand what you like and dislike and the vision you have in your head. She's also very skilled at her craft, interior design, with a real eye for what colors, textures, and shapes go together. She's also quite skilled with interior design software and putting together computer-generated layouts of how she envisions her designs in your home. I found that to be extremely helpful. And lastly, she has a great personality, is easy to work with, has a good sense of humor, has an enormous amount of energy so she keeps your projects moving right along, and is prompt with replies to questions sent to her by email, text, or phone. My wife and I were also extremely impressed with one of Ethan Allen's "white glove" delivery teams that was comprised of Hugo and Kenneth. We've had Hugo and Kenneth make multiple deliveries to our house, sometimes with large items like rugs, headboards, oversized chairs, or end tables. Hugo and Kenneth always put booties on over their shoes before entering the house, were careful when navigating narrow hallways with large items, and were careful with our hardwood floors when putting items into place. On future orders (and with my wife as happy as she is with what she's ordered thus far from Ethan Allen I'm sure there will be more), We will be sure to ask for Hugo and Kenneth by name to be the ones to deliver the items.

They replaced the recliner with the same chair, which did the exact same thing. I have furniture that I bought at Ashley's which I've had for years, and has stood the test of time. Ethan Allen is not a store that sells quality furniture, nor does it supply competent sales people. I am not one to post opinions on these sites, but think people should be aware that Ethan allen is not the store it was 20 years ago.
