Ordered Midea 5.1 cu ft freezer online and picked up today (no stock at this store but stocked at other stores and transferred to this store). Employees brought out to load in my vehicle. Box was damaged. Opened and inspected and small dent at bottom. Options were to take it with a discount or order another one and come back and pick it up when it arrives or get a refund. I did not want to keep coming back and forth to the store so took this one. Installed in garage and discovered the temperature control knob does not turn all the way for the freezer section. Directions say to turn the control knob counterclockwise to increase the temperature inside the freezer; however, the knob will not turn counterclockwise past the 'Off' position. It will only turn to the right (clockwise) and only part way into the freezer control (see picture). Called Midea and they could not help - told me to contact Lowe's. Called customer service at the store and asked that they deliver a replacement and take the damaged one considering the hassle I've had with this purchase. Said they can't do that but said I can bring it back for a refund or replacement. So, now I must get my neighbor (I'm 100% disabled veteran), to load it into my vehicle, drive back to Lowe's because both Midea and Lowe's failed me as a customer. read more

We went to Lowe's find a weather proof box for chair cushions. Super helpful staff. Daniel ( maybe David) was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I was waiting for my husband who was over checking the pipes and Daniel offered me a seat in the outdoor furniture section! Aimee the lead in Outdoor furniture was very helpful and explained all kinds of discounts and Lowe's card ways to save $$ on a set of chairs, table and love seat. Self checkout was smooth, even applying the military discount. We left with a huge box and a long pipe - they offered to load the SUV for us. Was in the area looking for Green Gobbler sticks, an enzyme drain cleaner that you leave in your drain to slowly dissolve matter in a natural way. Home Depot has been out for awhile now as we've checked since Thanksgiving. I guess it was in high demand? I was in the area so I looked online first and saw they had Instant Power Bio-Enzymatic Drain Sticks that "prevent clogs and eliminate odors". Perfect!! I snagged 4 packages and there was one left. I walked around and looked at some decent doormats with different designs, sizes and materials from Sisal to rubber and cloth. They didn't have the design I was looking for so I walked around and looked at other items. It's been awhile since I've been here and passed by a couple aisle with Carharrt clothes! That was new! Looked at some car cleaning products too and took a photo to see what has good reviews before I purchase. The gal at the checkout stand was pretty helpful while I used the self-checkout register and even offered to zip my backpack as she saw it wasn't completely closed. I appreciated that. Oh and all the Christmas decor is gone and replaced with plants, outdoor furniture, storage bins, etc. getting ready for Spring. The bathroom was very clean, neat & tidy! read more

I come here a lot... Decided to buy pavers here to make sure they matched what I already had even though they were. Little bit cheaper at Home Depot. When h walked in I mentioned that I would be buying over 100 pavers. They asked if we needed help and I said yes. My nephew and I lodes up 200 pavers. 2 guys came by, shrugged that we were in their way. Went around us, and never offered assistance. 100 paver = ZERO discount!!! What in the hell is the "my Lowe's" reward they ask me about every time I come in here, then? No help, no discount, no more business from me. This review will be an uncharacteristically brief one from your favorite Yelper/gourmand/enfant terrible/necromancer extraordinaire, as I simply wish to commend a staff member at this location. As an avid video game enthusiast/manchild/hoarder, I have amassed an impressive, enviable collection of new and vintage video game consoles (over 40 to date), many of which are connected via a tangled web of wires to my 4K TV. I couldn't find a shelf with enough space to accommodate the consoles attractively, so I decided to take the plunge and make one for myself. My dad, an avid do-it-yourselfer, swears that Lowe's is the best place to find wood, nails, wood glues, etc., so off I went. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by a 40-something woman who perhaps sensed I had no idea what I was doing. She complimented my "Halloween III" t-shirt and asked me what I needed. I told her that I was looking to construct a stand for my video game consoles. She then escorted me to the wood section and stood nearby in case I had questions. She suggested I use cedar, which she assured me was of a much higher quality wood than several of the others nearby. When I told her the approximate dimensions of the project, she knew exactly how many boards I would need and even loaded them onto the cart! She wheeled the cart up to the cash register and gave me a 25% discount for being a "cool customer." I didn't know a cool customer discount existed, but I accepted it most graciously. I certainly didn't expect this level of service from a Lowe's with a miserable two-star overall Yelp rating. Alas, I ended up way over my head when the time came to construct the shelf, so my dad ended up coming over and assisting (read: doing the whole damn thing). I did, however, hand him the nails and provide aural stimuli: my exaggerated, drawled rendition of "Tuff Enough" by The Fabulous Thunderbirds. That's the song I assume every blue collar worker listens to ad infinitum. But I digress! I can't disparage nor discredit my Yelp brethren for describing their comparatively awful experiences at this location, but I *can* say that I experienced nothing but excellent customer service from the moment I arrived until the moment I walked out the door. I recently had to buy a new washing machine because the I had had decided it was going to burn up its motherboard. The cost to replace that made it more cost effective to buy a new washing machine. Since I had a Samsung washer and dryer pair, I decided to shop only for a Samsung replacement. Well I happened to find a great deal on a unit that was brand new and had all the features I wanted plus other features I didn't know I didn't want at the time. This was a washing machine at Lowe's... A place I frequent nearly every day. After applying a $100 coupon, I was excited to take delivery of the new washing machine. In the meantime, my husband (who tends to do much more of the laundry than I do) ended up going out of the country for work. That weekend, the Lowe's third-party contractor team showed up and installed the unit but apparently forgot to flush the lines first and they ended up hooking the hoses up to the wrong temperatures. The hot was connected to the cold and the cold was connected to the hot. No I didn't actually notice that until I went to run a load about three days later. Using the manual I read how to flush the lines and that's when I discovered that they were miss attached to the washing machine and I fixed it. Well about 10 minutes into the first load the machine shut off giving me an error warning about the water supply not being fully activated or something like that. Since I never heard the machine turn off, I never noticed and let the clothes sit in the wet unfinished cycle until about two days later when I thought I should check the washing machine. lol Remember, I said I don't do much of the laundry since my husband prefers to do it. This is probably the reason. Where my husband ended up coming back home a week or so later he tried to do laundry using the new machine and kept getting the error messages like I did. Something was wrong so we called Samsung and explain to them what happened. Samsung told us that because it was still within the first two weeks... Literally was one week and six days since it had been delivered... That I had to go through Lowe's in order to have the machine exchanged or returned. Not sure why Samsung was so quick to dismiss having a service call and instead suggested I might consider just returning the washing machine through Lowes. Going forward, I will never buy a large appliance from Lowe's again if it's only got a 48 hour return window. I mean...It took Lowe's LONGER than 48 hours to get the thing delivered! read more

Tried to call their millwork/ door center. Got left on hold for 15 min and then they hung up. Called back, 15 min and they hung up again. I'm trying to get info on a door replacement/install and willing to spend several hundred to make it work. Obviously, they don't want the work. Very sad! Guess I'll go with Home Depot. I had an incredibly frustrating experience today at Lowe's. First I called to schedule delivery of materials for a small project and before giving me the available dates, the guy I talked to in the flooring department charged me, booked me and then told me the materials would be delivered the day of the project, something he should have told me before charging and booking me because the delivery would be too late. I had to cancel the delivery and decided to pick up the materials instead the same day. When I arrive to customer service, I had to wait over an hour before getting the materials because the representative in flooring was apparently the only person who knew where the materials were. Why was he the only one? Because the information was not entered in their system correctly in the first place. When they finally found the materials, it was missing a phalange extender because someone sold off the piece after it had already been set aside for my project. Now we have to go to another Lowe's to get the piece needed for the project scheduled in a couple days. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because everyone in customer service did as much as they could to help but they could not contact the guy in flooring or he was never available to help. The manager never apologized which I thought should have been the bare minimum response from someone in leadership for the inconvenience caused by the mishandling of the order. I saw other people angry today, so I get that makes things tense in general. However if that many people are upset then that deserves some reflection on how processes can be streamlined. Overall this was a terrible breakdown in communication from the flooring department and leadership at this store that I hope they examine to avoid disappointment on all sides. This experience has soured me on home projects with Lowe's in the future. read more

This used to be my favorite Lowes but they have really tanked in the past few months. Inventory is not well managed with many items not in stock even when the app says they have something. I have asked staff to help and even they are puzzled. Every time I have to order something it's a huge hassle. First I have to wait for the understaffed customer service desk to acknowledge me. Then they have to figure out where my order is located. On my last visit it took 30 minutes to pick up my online order that was "ready for pickup." I am having the worst time with this Lowes. On Black Friday I ordered an oven/microwave combo wall/built in. The installer came out and measured and advised me there would be carpentry work. Then Lowe's ordered the wrong size. They reordered the correct size and tried to up charge me because the Black Friday deal was over. Then the order took four weeks to get here. Then they cancelled the original instal request. I had to go in to re- request. Then they cancelled that request because the plug was out of stock. They set up another instal and told me to go in to get the plug. When I went in they told me the installer would pick up the plug. Today they came to install the unit, but Lowe's did not include the carpentry work in the install. So they cannot install. She was so helpful, describing the different materials. She gave us cost estimates for our two favorites and we ended up purchasing the materials on the spot. I used to really like and rely on Lowes. Unfortunately, this is the location I have to deal with here. From what I can tell, it's a bunch of kids who are marginally interested in work. If I ask for anything I generally either get ignored or an "I don't know how to do that". If you don't know how to, for instance, cut a material for sale, the appropriate response is to GET SOMEONE WHO DOES know. Don't just leave me a standing around for 15 min waiting or searching for someone myself. Had this happen repeatedly. My other option is usually Home Depot. The difference seems to be Home Depot (around here) largely employing actual grown-ups. I'm fine with kids having jobs and learning, but they need to be working in the back if they don't know how to help a customer. Happened too many times. Time to move on. read more

Hello fellow shoppers, Here's what you need to know about buying appliances from Lowes and having it delivered and installed: 1. Know that the delivery driver/installation guy is NOT a Lowes employee. 2. Do not accept delivery of dented/scratched/dinged appliances. Do not believe the delivery guy when he tells you that you can use them as a loaner until the new appliances are in. 3. Do take a picture of the damages. Our story: We believed what the driver told us. Went back to the store where we purchased the washer/dryer set and told them what happened, all the while thinking we had done the right thing. WRONG! We ended having to PURCHASE ANOTHER SET! Then when it is finally delivered and installed, we will get a refund. If you don't have the means to buy another set, then you are stuck with damaged appliances. Lesson learned for us. I hope this helps out others who are naive like we used to be! Recommendation to Lowes: Tell buyers what to do when taking deliveries. Tell buyers that the delivery people are not Lowes employees, even though they are driving a Lowes truck. Giving each buyer a checklist for delivery would be nice. read more

I swear this place takes "do it yourself" to a whole different level. Every time I go, I wonder why I bothered to go in the door again. The staff is USELESS. Any issue - assuming you can even find anyone to help - the staff just throws up their hands helpless. No focus on customer service or finding a solution or resolving a concern. Usually I know more about their ads/products than they do and the the simplest questions seem to throw must of them in a complete tailspin. The exception is the paint counter. They're usually great. But the check out staff in the self check area and the "customer service" effort is a joke. So frustrating. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would! I waited for over 30 minutes for anyone to help me in appliances with a microwave the website shows is in stock but none out on the sales floor. The man in the kitchen design services is so rude and doesn't help. I had to walk around the entire store and I waved down a guy that stopped and saw I was waving him down and he went into an employee back area to avoid me. (customer perception if you see they are waving you down and you stop and proceed away from the customer) All other associates I found, no one is willing to help because it is not their department. The girl from customer service left me standing around another 10-15 while she tended to all the other customers that arrived after me. I finally found someone willing to help me even tho it was not his department but it said manager on his badge. I expressed my experience and feedback to Saul and he could care less. Zero stars. We took my friend to the Lowes store at 5303 W Loop 1604 N in San Antonio Texas to purchase a stackable washer and dryer, and a refrigerator for her tiny home. It was suppose to be delivered on Dec. 24th 2023. We got the washer and dryer, no stackable kit and no refrigerator. Even though it was all paid for the same day. She has gotten nothing but a run around from them. They told her we walked out with the refrigerator. How the heck could we do that, when the sales guy said they were coming from the warehouse. Beware. I bought a refrigerator from Lowes to be delivered. The delivery associate told me to wait 24-48 hours for the fridge to get settled before calling after hearing a loud noise. After 24 hours the fridge was so loud I could hear it from the other room, so I decided to call returns and was told I would receive a call back. I Never did. Two days later I called again and they notified me that it was outside of the 48 return window and they couldnt do anything about it and to call the manufacturer. We were Lowe's loyal customer, until today. We bought a whirlpool washer and dryer a few months ago, and we were able to use our 10% coupon and military discount. On top of that, we were able to get an estimate time of delivery (which arrived in 3 days after we ordered). We were extremely satisfied with our purchase. Today, we went to buy a dishwasher and we also ordered to have it installed. What changed was that they did not honor our 10% coupon (because we bought a dishwasher that was already discounted), and the military discount went from 15% down to just 5%. As we were checking out, we showed our military ID, but they told us that we have to have our military status registered online in order for us to use the 5% military discount. I appreciate stored that offer military discount. However, they lost my loyalty because of the changes in policy they have made. Not only that, but we have no estimate on the arrival for our order. They said that the earliest they could deliver (it is in stock, which is much sooner), is "sometime next week". We were not happy with the management of the store, and it seems that they are short staffed, considering the fact that we were in line for nearly 40minutes at the appliance department. I really don't like writing this type of review. I have 2 previous reviews and things have not gotten better. In fact it is much worse except for one aspect I will get to later. So why did I shop here you might ask? Best price. I ordered online as to avoid interaction with the staff I have had bad luck with in the past. I knew exactly what I needed so it should be a snap. It would have to be delivered since I don't have a vehicle that could handle the weight of 160 concrete cap stones. Finished my order and it would be delivered...in 2 weeks. Well OK. The day before delivery I get a call telling me they would have to deliver 2 days later since they have no driver on Saturday. Monday rolls around and it's 5:30 PM and no delivery yet. I call the store to verify my delivery. Two calls letting the phone ring for 5 minutes and no answer. One more call and finally a live voice. Give the pertinent details and could they tell me if it was till coming. They tried to deflect me saying it is a 3rd party delivery service. I don't care, I just want to know if it is coming or not. Put on hold for another 5 minutes. Finally they tell me that my order didn't make it on the truck and they don't know why. So they promise me they will deliver the next morning and also waive the delivery fee. I agree to this. The next day I get an early morning phone call. They discover they don't have in stock what I ordered two weeks ago. (It was going to take 2 weeks to get it ordered as per their website since it wasn't in stock). Obviously no one verifies online orders. So they had an almost identical brick they would bring me and it was the same price. I agreed to this. There was a couple more frustrating issues in all this I won't mention. Now for the good-the delivery guy. He knows his stuff and was very pleasant. He is a long time Lowes employee that loves his job and wants it done the right way. He has a great work ethic. I wish I had his name. Unfortunately I won't bother with shopping Lowes again, best price or not it isn't worth dealing with the aggravation I have had to deal with almost every time I shop there. read more

Lowe's knows nothing about customer service. They sent undocumented workers into my home to deliver a dryer and install it. They spoke no English. The first thing they did was break a corner off my wall because they were too dumb to remove the old machine first. They then connected the dryer. They left without plugging the dryer in. They also left the gas line leaking and the water line for the steam function leaking. I had to redo the entire installation. When I called and complained they took months to get back with me. They offered me $119.00 to repair the wall. The wall is plaster. The least expensive bid I got was for $790.00. I even showed them the estimate. Told me the $119.00 is all they will pay and take it or leave it. I left it. I'm now writing these wonderful reviews about them. Don't be foolish. I won't buy a stew from them again. read more

I'm not sure about the negative reviews--at times I've gone back to places and they've gotten pretty bad. However, today I had another clogged toilet and the apartment complex I live in Distinction Apartments on Blanco have not fixed the problem. They keep me waiting the next day--if you can believe it--or longer and I only have one toilet. The manager said not to throw any toilet paper including the one one uses to wipe themselves from the back. I've done everything on my part to make it work. So, I went to purchase a snake that seemed to have good reviews, but it didn't work. I read the return policy afterwards for used items. After having a really bad day and having a long list of things to do-that I seriously needed to complete and being unemployed--I've had it. I didn't think they would accept the return--but they did. So, thanks. And my apartment is full of black mold as well. And this toilet thing is like done on purpose. Anyway, I don't have the money to spend on having to repair my own toilet.
