My mom purchased an LG dishwasher here. Prices were higher than expected, as they throw in so many extra fees and it's impossible to get free delivery even if you live within 10 miles of the store, as apparently the stuff comes from Central Jersey. The guy who checked us out ordered the wrong cord -- one that works with every dishwasher other than LG. And the delivery was not a super great experience, though I won't go into it here. So far so good on the actual dishwasher though, so that's a positive. read more

Complete incompetence by management at this location, especially from a woman named MEGAN. Spent weeks going back and forth about patio furniture that was damaged. They charged me for a second one then never refunded the first one. MEGAN thought it was professional to tell and talk over me before telling me I had to call corporate or customer service then hung up on me. She should be fired and never work in retail again. Ordered a brand new lawnmower thinking it would be just that, brand new. The delivery guy called to say the lawnmower is dirty and scratched and asked if I still want it. I wanted to purchase a ceiling light fixture that was priced $32.98. Finally, after waiting 15 minutes I got an employee to help me locate the fixture. He scanned the price tag and said this is the right price. After a good 10 minutes, he said there are 2 on hand but couldn't locate the fixtures. He was telling me the right price was $ 92.98. Had an employee fill an already filled paint can with toner and over filled the can , the can was shaken up for me nice and pressurized for me when i got home so when i tried to crack the can a liiitttle bit , gloss black paint shot out , hit my railing upstairs and went all over my rug in the hall and steps in like 2 seconds messed my entire upstairs rug. Heres the best part was the manager, (high as f****) this dude tells me to file a claim (so we filled out a claim) and have someone come out to do an estimate on the damage.... no one ever showed up , 3 weeks later i got a letter from Zack Groce telling me i need to get 2 estimates , photos of the damage(showed to manager), and a statement of what occurred ( already filed with manager) **Best part** is that high manager made me take one of their carpet cleaners, and clean it up myself , even charged me 40$ for the carpet cleaning products to clean up THEIR mess is so great, what a great company . after getting the first vacuum that did not work, i got the second vacuum that did but guess what? no hose to do the steps so i had to go back a THIRD time just to clean up Lowe's damage is super fun experience. Thanks lowes, instead of helping me fix a few spots of paint on my railing now im beat for 2000$ worth of carpet and i STILL have to do everything i already did like give lowes the pictures AGAIN, and fill out a claims of what happened AGAIN..... Today I learned that there are 9 employees named Joe that work in this location. They gained a half a point for that. If you ever need help, just yell 'Joe' and your odds of getting help increase drastically. Unlike other Lowe's stores in the area, I've never waited more than a couple minutes for assistance when I push the call for help button. Their inventory is pretty good, a few items always show more in stock than actually are (such as rubber floor trim) because the cashiers seem to ring out entire cases but only scan one piece throwing the inventory levels off. I ding them for not automatically adjusting the prices on clearance/marked down items. You have to tell them at the counter every time. The staff has been very friendly and there's a Chick-Fil-A in the parking lot. read more

In the past five years we have ordered more than seven sets of appliances from Lowe's. Most recently I just ordered a stove top for our own home. Unfortunately Lowes tell you things are in stock or that they are available and don't bother to call you back until the very last minute to tell you that it is not available. Seems like a classic bait and switch. If Lowes wants to counter that then they damn well better get on top of their vendors and keep their vendors from promising things that they cannot deliver. Just today my wife purchased a shop vac only to get it back to the business to find it was filthy inside and it's supposed to brand new. I was traveling from Los Angeles to a rental property that we have in NJ. I measured for shades and had them cut 3 times at Lowes. Every time they were not cut correctly. I finally went back for the 4th time and David (from flooring) helped me and they were perfect. David was also the person who I talked to a few times from LA regarding ordering carpet for our rental and he was a huge help and is very knowledgeable. On my evenings excursion to this hall of fantastic fixtures and trinkets galore, I encountered the most wonderful flooring associate named Dave. It was love at first sight. From his delicious afro to his profound flooring wisdom he was helpful in each of the 5000 questions I assaulted him with. I'm now inspired to manipulate my slumlord (jk he's actually awesome) into allowing me the privilage of transforming my 650 sq ft. abode into a hardwood floored palace. Dave gave me the confidence that I too am able to install hardwood flooring all by myself with little more than the assistance of YouTube and a bottle of scotch. However, at one point he did tell me that I might need to take a break because " spending all that time on your knees can be painful." I found this to be offensive and insulting. Dave might not understand that I used to spend a lot of time working with mah mouf hole fo dat money. Anyway, great time. Lowes good. Home depot bad! Dave from flooring....CHAMPION! This is not about the store, but about the service provided by Lowe's on my 4 month old refrigerator. I set an appointment for a repair, and S and S did not show up. I took a day off to have this repair done. I rescheduled, S and S repair did not show up again, and again I took a day off from work. I told Lowe's S and S was never coming to my house, so 3 weeks later Lowe's calls to tell me they have scheduled S and S appliances to come do the repair I said oh no he is not. So now I have to take another day off for Dale's appliance repair to come out. Lowe's service sucks. I will certainly research who I buy from next time. Lowe's should be proud of their Service they don't provide.I would love to find the number to someone in corporate headquarters. read more

Mostly like the store, BUT... SICK & TIRED of RUNNING A GAUNTLET OF SALESPEOPLE. BLACK SHIRTS SALES GUYS will corner you again and again. The people who work in the store are friendly, BUT now there is this increasing weird thing of having to pass by booths where third party sales beckon for attention. That's OK because they are not pushy, but what makes me want to go to Lowe's instead are these guys wandering around in BLACK SHIRTS. AVOID THE SALES GUYS IN BLACK SHIRTS!!! They will follow you, they will find you in the isles, they will persist, they will not take no for an answer, when one is done another will corner you, and even if you tell them you have already been harassed they will pitch you again. What do they want? They want to gut your kitchen, and put junk shelves and doors in. Do not make the mistake of wasting your time by "humoring" them- it wastes your time and they get politely hostile when you keep saying you do not need or want their services. Tables, booths, kiosks are acceptable, BUT BEING HUNTED BY THE BLACK SHIRTS is BS. What's more annoying than a telemarketer? A hack sales guy following you around, confronting you, and not taking a polite dismissal instead insisting on SPAMMING you to your face. Didn't need any assistance though I didn't see any one to help me if I needed it. No lines, used self check, so I was in and out quick. Sold us a used faucet, which they made look new by tying up the box, and wrapping it back up nicely, but when we opened it, it was dirty and had plumbers putty all over the bottom of it. Had to drive all the way back. They didn't give us a hard time returning it, but the girl behind the counter was not friendly and didn't apologize for the inconvenience.
