Lowe's at Scheel's is absolutely the very worst. For two consecutive days I went to Lowe's to purchase flooring and new countertop. Not one sales associate helped me, at least 4 sales people walked past and did not even look my way! I finally flagged down a guy and asked him a question about flooring. He didn't know, but said he would get me a sales associate, he did not get a person. I guess Home Depot wins again!!!!! read more

I'm beyond frustrated with Lowe's. I placed an expensive custom order (Order #200321178250970147) that was absolutely critical to sealing up my job site. Lowe's has now missed three scheduled deliveries: July 17, July 21, and July 23. They left me waiting over 16 hours across multiple days, only to be no-shows each time. No calls, no coordination, no respect for my time or business. Meanwhile, the back of my property is exposed to the elements, and I have construction crews standing by at $500/day, waiting for doors that never come. I've called. I've emailed. I even escalated to executive support. Still no resolution. This is completely unacceptable. I run several businesses and regularly purchase from major retailers -- this is the worst service I've experienced in years. Lowe's: If you want business owners to trust you for large projects, you need to do better. The store is very clean and organized. It appears well stocked. Definitely a great feeling walking into a hardware store and doesn't feel like one. I went here to make duplicate house keys. There is a self-service Minute Key machine or there is someone staffed that can help if you prefer to get assistance. As I was browsing the store and looking for an associate to point me to the filters, I had to walk around to find someone which was a bit frustrating. Once I found the filters, I liked that there were 3-4 different brands of varying quality and budgets which was nice. read more

Better yet, it is now $25; the previous price was $120. Sadly, I missed measured the other blind that I needed, even though I measured twice. Guess I will be coming back soon. Allen made the return easy and buying my new outdoor Christmas decorations fast and easy. While I admittedly did not have a clear vision of what I expected when I ordered 30 small moving boxes from Lowe's, *this* was not it. My only expectation was for the home delivery to be more convenient than store pickup. I was woefully mistaken. The confounding decision by Lowe's to pack 30 small moving boxes into a single, overwhelmingly unwieldy, enormous and carelessly-sealed shipping box, completely destroyed the advantages the home delivery was intended to provide. Lowe's should not hire people lacking the intelligence to make reasonable packing choices. The sheer size of the behemoth they dropped via FedEx Ground in my apartment complex's small mailroom rendered my neighbors' mailboxes inaccessible. It was so cumbersome--about 2/3 my height--too large to fit my arms around, and too heavy to move without a dolly--that I could not relocate it on my own without a strategy. On top of this, it was crudely taped shut at best. Understandably, my neighbors were unhappy when I had to leave the box there for two full days while I figured out a solution. Fortunately, someone stronger and longer-limbed than I, managed to push the box away from the mailboxes. Ultimately, I had to open the box and make six trips back and forth between the mailroom and my apartment because I was only able to carry five boxes at a time. Even empty, it was a struggle to get the kennel-sized container through my apartment door. I am a size 18 woman and I could have easily climbed inside this monster box and probably brought a friend with me. Additionally, I was unable to immediately recycle my new fixture because its size dwarfed the recycling bins. I am now saddled with having to use a box cutter to cut it into pieces small enough to fit in an apartment-sized container before making what I estimate to be 2-3 trips to the recycling bins. I am dumbfounded by the lack of forethought that went into preparing and delivering this shipment. It has added an unnecessary layer of stress to an already-challenging move. Have a confirmation email and everything showing the address and time. Show up today to check in and had to ask several employees about the workshop. No one knew what we were talking about. The last guy we asked for help called his manager and was told that they don't have a workshop and they haven't had one for quite some time. I showed him the confirmation and everything. My husband, myself, one of my cousins and her husband went to this Lowe's to explore changing out old and worn kitchen cabinets. My cousin and I asked reasonable questions. Raunchy Rude Reuben ignored we women. Not only did Raunchy Rube Reuben repeatedly ignore we women, Raunchy Rude Reuben openly made several snide, sexist and misogynist remarks and jokes and gestures about women to the men in our party. None of us found Raunchy Rude Rueben's behavior appropriate or professional. In disgust, we left without buying anything. Very pleased with Lowe's in Sparks, we have been doing a lot of upgrades in our home and have been using Lowe's as our primary go to for our needs. We have been placing a ton of online pick up orders and have not had a single hiccup. I purchased a Roomba vacuum a while back from this store and noticed Best Buy had the same Roomba for sale (I love my money and save when I can)! I looked online and saw Lowe's has a pretty good return/price match policy. I packed our Roomba up and printed the Best Buy price I wanted them to match. I was a little hesitant but built the courage to go! I spoke to Monica which I believe was a manager and showed her the price at Best Buy and she happily price matched it. I got money back too! Shopping for blinds, I decided on Lowe's as they had the color and style I needed. Nice selection available and quickly chose my blinds. Totally fascinated to see how their huge machine trims the ends to fit your window perfectly! Unfortunately the blinds I purchased did not work as they were 70" wide and we had to remove too many slats to fit the shorter height of the window. Seems if you take too many slats off the mechanism is no longer able to work correctly. Staff immediately said they work take back those blinds and we ordered custom blinds for our size window. Told they could take 25 days, in fact arrived on my doorstep in just five days. Shipping was free! What do I particularly love about Lowe's? I love that they honor our veterans and offer a discount at checkout. Now other similar stores which will remain almost nameless, Home Depot, make it difficult and they have to see the veteran and ID each and every time, Lowe's simply enters it into their system. I simply went in to purchase a ladder. I pushed the assistance button in that department and it went overhead twice. 3 employees in red vests walked right past me. I knew they saw me as we locked eyes but not a single one spoke. I thought maybe they were on their lunches so I let them continue walking. I ended up standing by the ladders for 20+ minutes before heading towards the exit. I yet again walked by 2 additional employees who completely ignored me. When I enter a store with a mission to purchase an item, especially an expensive one, I have minimum expectation of at least a tiny bit of customer service. There was none. I wasn't greeted, I wasn't approached or even motioned towards in any way and I'm truly disheartened by this experience. Hello, Today has honestly been my worst experience with Lowe's and I plan on never ordering from this company again. I recently moved to Sparks, Nevada and I just purchased a home. I went to Lowe's and purchased a new fridge and dryer totaling to $2K. My delivery was set for Oct. 30th between 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm. At 3:15pm I received a text that the driver was 15 minutes away. At 4pm I noticed the driver did not show. I called Lowe's to verify what was going on, they told me that they were not sure and gave me the number to contact the driver directly. I called the driver, he told me he came to my house and called me but I wasn't there so he could not deliver my order. I told him that I've been home all day no one has come to my door, and that I have no missed calls from this or any number. He told me "Oh well, you need to speak to Lowe's." I call Lowe's and they told me, what happened. They directed me to call the dispatch office. Upon calling dispatch they told me that due to me missing my delivery I need to call Lowe's and rescheduled. I stressed to dispatch that no one came to my home or called me. I informed them that I had a ring doorbell that records my street and no delivery drivers had come by. Dispatch tried to confirm what my house looked like, since the driver took a picture. I told them, no that description does not fit my house. Dispatch then noticed that the house number on the picture the driver took did not match my address. Then dispatch confirmed that the driver did not call me. They stated a manager was going to call me back to get further information. I then called Lowe's back to voice my frustration with this whole delivery process and the Lowe's representative cut me off when trying to explain the story and told me to call dispatch. I then finally got the chance to talk and I told him I needed to speak with a manager. The Lowe's representative sent me to a phone line that ultimately disconnected me. I then called Lowe's back (again) and asked to speak with a manager. When I got a manager on the phone, they tried to call dispatch. Dispatch told her that the truck that had my items had gone home already (even though it was 5;30pm and I had a delivery of between 2:30pm -6:30pm). She then told me she emailed some managers and that hopefully my items would be on the truck for delivery tomorrow. She was not sure if the managers in the morning would see the email asking to have my items added for delivery the next day. The manager then told me that this was all she could do. I stressed to the manager that I arranged my move in date around the delivery of this fridge due to having a new born, and now all of my food and my new norms breast milk is going to go bad if I don't get a fridge by this evening. The manager told me there was nothing left she could do. And that hopefully my delivery will be there tomorrow. Overall this was a horrible experience. I as a consumer and customer waited all day in my home to receive an order. Then I'm losing money cause of all my food that is supposed to be in the fridge will spoil, including my newborns food. I am truly disappointed in this company and how they treat their customers. I am sure this is the last time this company will get money out of me! read more

While it's kind of a pain to get into this parking lot, the trip is well worth but it if you are a Veteran or spouse of a Veteran as I am. Not only are there Veteran preference parking spots, but also the 10% discount for Veterans and their spouses! Most places require the Veteran to be presents for the discount, but at Lowe's you sign up at customer service and link a phone number to receive the discount, although they will ask to see an I.D. The best part... they will let you use the Veteran discount on top of sale prices! Or so I've heard, nothing that we have purchased from them has been on sale. The customer service here has always been pleasant and they always explain the extended warranties, which I appreciate. read more

DO NOT under any circumstances purchase hard flooring or installation from Lowe's. I purchased my flooring with installation from the Lowe's in Sparks in March 2023. The work order was opened with the contractor, Keller Interiors, April 2023. Lowe's and Keller proceeded to take 4 MONTHS to finally complete the install of my floors. Keller had to completely tare out the flooring TWICE because of improper installation by their installers. During the install, Keller's installers caused approximately $2,000 worth of damages to the walls of my home (pictures attached). I made both Lowe's and Keller aware of the damages immediately. Both parties, over the course of the 4 months it took to properly complete the install, repeatedly assured me that the damages would be taken care of once the install was completed and the work order closed. Fast forward to July 2023 and 5! Work orders later, my floors were installed. When I called Lowe's installation support (who already had numerous pictures of the damages from when they occurred) informed me I needed to provide a quote from a contractor to repair the damages, which I did in a timely manner. After a lengthy delay, Lowe's emailed me back stating they now needed three estimates from different contractors for comparison. We eventually agreed to provide one additional quote which I provided after I returned from vacation. Approximately two weeks after providing that estimate Lowe's called me (only time they actually followed through on a scheduled follow up) to inform me that they determined that the damages we incidental as a result of removing the baseboard and that they would not be compensating me for the repairs to my home. Their formal offer was $250. Lowe's installation support and in store managers repeatedly demonstrated their incompetence during the four months it took to complete this work. On numerous occasions the installation support team failed to provide "scheduled follow ups", the only way I was able to get updates was by repeatedly taking time out of my work day to call them. Their in store managers and associates routinely failed to return phone calls, they repeatedly ordered the wrong product or failed to order the flooring products all together and repeatedly failed to have product delivered like they claimed they would. On numerous occasions I had to leave work to go to the store in person (because no one would answer the phone) to find out where the flooring product was at AND twice I had to actually pickup the product myself to ensure it would be at my house in time for the installers. This was by far the worst demonstration of customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Under the nose is NOT SAFE! You don't know who is walking in the store who might have Covid you can catch that easily and spread it to your coworkers! It was my first time at this Lowe's, and the staff was running around not knowing where anything was! I've had to repeat that I wanted an indoor trash can. In the isle it was labeled but their was portraits there instead?! They took me to the outdoor trash cans, which I don't need!! This store is in the mall parking lot, so you do have to fight the traffic a bit to get here. But the store is clean and rarely crowded. Today I returned some items I didn't use. It was nice to simply present the credit card I used instead of needing a receipt. The. I purchased a paint sample for some interior paint I'm planning to redo. I would like to use local hardware stores for jobs but sometimes the big box stores are the best option. Lowe's has really messed up. We shopped there for years but not anymore. Our upstairs neighbor ( a senior citizen) had a washer installed by Lowes and the installer broke the pipe. It caused over $500 damage to her home and more than $300 damage to ours when the water leaked down through our ceiling. This happened the last day of August and all they have done is play games with her about filing claims that they lose in the system and so on. Wish I could give minus stars. I paid Lowe's $45 to come measure the space to replace my built in microwave and oven. They would not provide the measurements, said Lowe's would have them. I then contacted someone in appliances and asked them to provide me a list of microwave/ovens that would fit in that space based on Lowe's own measurement. I ordered DIRECTLY off that list, and paid someone to pick up the oven and take my existing oven out. The one I received was three inches wider than I could use so now my own oven had to be reinstalled. Going back and looking at the list I was given BY LOWE'S that should have fit based on THEIR own measurement, every single one was too large. Additionally I had to get a Lowe's credit card as that is the only way I could return the oven for up to 30 days. I had to fight, making several phone calls, to get Lowe's to pick it up. They showed up unannounced when I was not available, and my daughter let them in to take the oven. They left absolutely no paperwork confirming they had taken it. I spent almost an hour this morning being disconnected and on hold trying to get my credit card reimbursed. First I was told not until it was returned, so another fight proving it had been returned. Now 5-7 business days before I am reimbursed over $4,500. And I have no oven/microwave after wasting hours of my time, and $45 to have measurements done. 04/20/23. My credit car was partially reimbursed. Still a balance of $184.97 for an oven that didn't fit, even though it was recommended by Lowe's based on measurements I paid Lowe's to do. I spent well over two hours trying to get just any living breathing person at Lowe's. I was disconnected several times, forwarded to the credit card agency, listened to unanswered phones ringing repeatedly, one time for 20 minutes. I finally got someone who said the charge was for installation. I never requested installation; I had paid someone to pick up and install. Not to mention it wasn't installed as it was too large. After sitting on hold again, I was told someone will call me back to "see if the charge can be removed". I don't understand how this place can stay in business. I will definitely not be buying an oven there. I need to replace refrigerator and dishwasher as well, but won't be with Lowe's. 04/22/23. Someone finally called me back. I was in an IV infusion clinic, surrounded by other people and the nurse was trying to switch out my infusion. The Lowe's person apparently had NO information, and apparently hard of hearing. In this crowded clinic I had to repeatedly scream out my driver's license number, complete address, order number and date, phone numbers, etc. etc. And my credit card still hasn't been reimbursed. Nor have I received the measurements I paid $45 for. 04/26/23. The charge is still on my account. 05/13/23. Still no resolution on the $184.97. So I just moved in to this new house and as the workers bought my dryer in they took off my door without permission, didn't even knock, and stained my new door from my house and couldn't put it back on, the other workers didn't even help this one worker put the door back on, they also chipped my garage door and scratched my hallway wall. I decided to add more pavers to my project and went to the Sparks Lowe's this morning. These are 16 X 24 inch pavers. The bay was empty. I went up front to the register and was told there were 300 in stock. I went back and found them on pallets stored up high on the racks. They didn't run out today, just to lazy to take a pallet down and stick it in the sale bay. I have to use these to match the 120 I've already installed. I went back up front and the cashier said she would send someone. After about 10 minutes a guy came back and said he will get a forklift. 40 minutes still no forklift. I went to the self check out to find a manager, there are no longer cashiers in the main part of the store. The associate there called for a manager. After about 10 minutes, I went back to the paver bay and still no fork lift. I wasted an hour there today. I left. The good news is Home Depot now carries matching pavers but they are 16 X 16. I will make them work. These pavers are the only thing I've bought at Lowe's because I started with them and wanted to keep them matched. I now have another option, so no more Lowe's for me. read more

In general, "my" Lowes is super! What I want to complain about, is the price of the discounted, spent, plants. They are out back, dying, accumulating each day, with no takers. The display is growing, and no one is interested. Please, Lowes, lower those ridiculous prices! Those plants are ending up being thrown away. Ahhh Lowes... My bestie as of late... I bought a house in November of 2014 in need of major refurbishing, to say the least. The massive upgrades started almost as soon as we moved in. This Lowes happens to be just less then a mile from the house, while Home Depot is more than double the distance.... so it's really very convenient. Especially when we need to run over there, mid project. My boyfriend, who is doing the lions share of the work, happens to be a master carpenter and does mostly finer remodels for work. Half the time we come here I have no idea what we are looking for, but he does, although I always know what the project goals are. So... I'm learning a lot as we go and I appreciate that Lowes is less industrial looking and easier to navigate than many hardware stores which makes me feel more comfortable. I am often sent on errands to retrieve one more part, bolt, screw, doorbell dinger, sprinkler head, drill bit... etc and the staff is always available and helpful in helping me go home with the correct item to finish the job. The garden center has been a frequent stopping point for us lately and I find that we always visit the clearance rack to see what plants are there that we might be able to adopt and bring back to health for a low cost. The prices throughout the rest of the nursery are fair as well. The patio furniture is a bit spendy, but that seems to be the case everywhere, But I'm not exclusive to that area. I've visited lumber, plumbing, tools, lighting, flooring, appliances, window coverings ......and more. We have a lot of projects planned over the next year for this house and are doing them all on weekends. I know many more Lowes trips are in my future. Probably starting again tomorrow. read more

We've been shopping alllll around town for home supplies lately, but the service we received by Dennis in the paint section at the Sparks Lowe's was the most wonderful, friendly, helpful, joyful service we have ever experienced. He is extremely knowledgeable about paints and helped us figure everything out. You can tell he is even smiling underneath his mask. He has been there to help us out with paints near the end of the night twice now and is still so cheerful and wonderful to work with even though he's probably had a long day already.
