Shopping for appliances shouldn't cause a person to lose years of their life due to stress and anxiety, but that's what happened when my mom bought her new stove from Lowes. She paid for delivery and to have her old stove removed. First it started that they arrived 2 days before the day they had originally scheduled. No phone call, no heads up, just arrived with the stove. The people who brought said new stove were rude, and didn't want to remove the old stove because they said it was still connected, that it had to be disconnected. Why didn't they say that to my mother when she paid for the stove and made the delivery arrangements? Completely and totally irresponsible. Then, as if that weren't enough. My mom had to pay for an outside person to come, and disconnect the old stove in a safe manner, and called Lowes again so they can come pick up the stove. The day they were supposed to come, they never showed up, no phone call, nothing. She called when it was getting towards the afternoon and they fed her a million and one excuses and arranged it for another day. Wasting people's time! My mom is an older woman, with a pacemaker and other health issues where she can't be going through instances like this. These people have absolutely no consideration for customer's time. No decency whatsoever. Even if they were giving things away, neither my mom nor I would ever set foot at this Lowes again. read more

Customer service is the worst ever. My riding lawnmower broke recently and lowes had one I wanted. I paid for it at the store and arranged delivery. It was going to take 5 days which by that time my grass would be high but manageable to cut. It was sitting in the driveway when I got up on the 5th day. I unboxed it only to discover there was no key and a tag that read dead battery. So they purposely sent me the lawnmower with a bad battery the missing key might have been a mistake. I called the store I bought it from only to be told it was shipped from another store and to call them. I called that store and was told someone would get back to me. Waited a couple of hours and no call. Called the store I bought it from again and they said someone would call me and nope. Called corporate and after being put on hold for 20 minutes I was transferred to the lawnmowers manufacturer's warranty line. My wife, who is a combat veteran and I bought the new Samsung all one washer dryer for delivery from the Lowes in Springfield Massachusetts. Took 2 weeks to get the unit. Very first load leaked the entire drum of water--21 gallons in all--out the bottom and all over the floor. We know its not Lowe's fault but EVERYTHING they have done since then has been HORRENDOUS!! Not only did they try to charge my wife an extra 400 dollars to send a replacement that wasn't even the same color or model unless we wanted to wait an additional 3 weeks. We said no thank you please refund money and return our old washer and dryer(which both still work) and where promptly told it would take 3 weeks to get them back even though they just took them the day before and were more than happy to get here fast to pick up their broken unit the very next day after the delivery!! I have now spent over 2 hours and 7 calls on the phone with them of which I was hung up on at least 3 times on purpose. Even the store GM wouldn't help and tried to pawn me back to the warehouse department that wouldn't help to start with. WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY LOWE'S HAS BECOME!! And needless to say that the manager for the appliance department--His name is Will, is as about as useful as a bag of rocks. Customer service is almost non-existent at the Lowe's on Boston Road in Springfield. I went there to purchase a simple nut and bolt, and after walking up and down the appropriate aisle (No. 16) I was unable to find the right size. So, I waited about 10 minutes for a Lowe's employee to walk by for some assistance, but none did. I then had to walk all the way down to the Customer Service desk, where I requested that they send someone to aisle 16 to help me. I walked all the way back to the aisle and waited. But, after another 10 minutes, nobody came. Not wanting to walk all the way back to the Customer Service desk, I called them on my cell phone. My phone rang 30 times before somebody answered. I told the woman that I was in aisle 16 and STILL needed assistance. She said she would send somebody. About 10 minutes later, I saw the Customer Service lady walking by Aisle 16, so I confronted her and told her I still needed assistance. A male employee who was walking with her got on his phone and requested the assistance. Another 10 minutes went by, but no assistance. So I walked all the way back to the Customer Service desk and asked to speak to a store manager. I young lady got on the phone, but seemed to have trouble getting anyone to come to the desk. So another woman made a call, and finally persuaded someone to come to the desk. A woman showed up (who I suspect was an assistant manager) and after I told her my story, she walked back to Aisle 16 with me and tried to find the nut and bolt herself. But she could not. Finally, after about 10 minutes of her searching, she spotted another Lowe's employee and called him over. After about another 10 minutes of searching, he finally found the proper nut and bolt I needed. In all, I spent 45 minutes in the store just to buy a nut and bolt! I am glad that there is a Home Depot just a mile down the road where I will shop from now on! read more

My wife and I went to Lowe's on Boston Road in Springfield, I have gotta tell you that the service sucks big time, I had a question about a paint product and the rep in the paint department was not very helpful at all, in fact, he was downright rude,I asked him about polyurethane with u/v protection and he mumbled something and walked away, very unprofessional. The 2nd incident in the store was with one of your cashiers, I asked her if the store honored senior discounts, and she really had no answer for me, she told me she never even heard about it, even though I have a neighbor who told me that store does honor senior discounts, don't they teach this in new hire orientation or did she miss the class?? Possibly the worst-managed Lowe's in the country. They changed the delivery date on my bulk order from the next day (Monday) to Friday. They would not take back 5 unopened cases of porcelain tile that they still had in stock. They also no longer do phone sales. So if you're in construction your workers cannot pick up materials unless they have your card. Good thing there's a HOME DEPOT 5 minutes down the same street. Online an item indicated 35 in stock. it wasn't in the aisle or bin or anywhere close. I had to go to the service desk to ask for help. She paged lighting but 10 min later no help arrived. The asked the one store employee who walked down the aisle if he could help but he said it wasn't him and kept walking. Lowes used to be my go to place for plants because Home Depot never took care of theirs but this year Lowes just let everything die then give a small discount. Stopped in yesterday to pick up my order and shopped for additional items I needed. Customer service team was excellent and the fact that I walked in without a mask which I had left in the vehicle. The Turks were kind enough to provide me one. I wasn't turned away without one but it was great to get great service. On my way out I did the self check out and Diane was lovely and kind. While I was unable to get ANY assistance for the tool area. I did witness an employee by the name Danny, heavyset guy. Completely put down a older man for asking if he can help him. How you wonder, "Jesus Christ, didn't I tell you people I'm busy doing something.... Jesus!" While walking away shacking his head & rolling his eyes. Then I also saw 2 other employees just talking and walking around tell a guy, "yeah yeah, we are going to call someone to assist you", and kept speed walking away while both kept talking. So, out of curiosity, I followed the young man & older woman, she quickly asked another at the desk to make a call for the tool area, and then she went back to the talking... and talking, and talking. 20 minutes in, not a thing done Lmao. This place is a joke!! The only ones that worked from my observation of about 40 minutes, were the cashiers & return desk. The cashier girl looked annoyed people went to her instead of self check out‍, and the self check guy tried not to make eye contact and help people doing the self check out. Everyone else, walking around and avoiding people or going into the breakroom/offices near the restrooms & disappearing. Completely night & day diffrence from the Home Depot just up the street. I placed an order online through the Boston Rd East Springfield location on May 10,2020. We ordered fencing panels for delivery. Originally schedule to deliver May 23,2020 and we received emails and texts confirming this. So yesterday I get an email on the day of the delivery saying that new updates to the delivery are in effect. They bumped the delivery to June 8, 2020. No calls were made to us just an email. The customer service needs big time improvements and so does customer care line... there is none. We cancelled our order and will consider other business to shop at. FYI trying to get through to a human being is strenuous. The person who handled my cancellation today hung up on me while I was explaining my reasons for that cancellation. read more

The sales crew seemed to be skattered and over worked. The service was less the mediocre and cost me alot of time. They spent 45 minutes looking for a dishwasher that they showed 5 of just to send me to the Hadley location. It was a 50 minute drive to Hadley just to wait 1 hour to retrieve the dishwasher because no one had a license to pull it off the rack. The sales staff did give me a 10% discount but I am still not a happy shopper. Thanks to the guys that helped to get the product but I think all in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience. read more

Bought Pella 800 series 6 windows on Oct 17 2020. They were to remove and install all 6 windows. Windows installed Dec 2 2020. Worse than the Pella windows they took out cold air coming in all around all 6 windows. 3 windows scratched. Dec 18 Lowes came checked all windows orded 3 new ones said they will fix windows. April 12 2021 new windows brought. 3 appointments made by them to install and fix windows all 3 times no show. they do take any phone call if they do you are passed from one person to the next. NO ONE cares! they should not say they do instillation . We are seniors and can not do this work. Spent all winter like this and still not getting any where. Will never buy from Lowes buyer beware. I'm livid. This is my first and last purchase with this company. I ordered an appliance online with delivery date July 3 so I had a recycling company come pick up my current fridge July 2nd. I call Lowe's on July 2nd to confirm delivery because I didn't get any updates and then all of a sudden I'm told it's actually July 17 which makes me mad but whatever I can deal. So I put in a order to but a mini fridge to pickup next day. Then I get a automatic call from the carrier for Lowe's stating the delivery is scheduled to come on July 3rd so I cancel my mini fridge order. I check the status for my order on Lowe's and it has changed from the July 17th to July 3rd so I'm happy. Hours later I track the shipment and then it says it's cancelled. I call the carrier that confirms it's cancelled on their end and I should contact Lowe's. I call Lowe's several times until someone finally picks up and says it still showing to be delivered today and she will transfer me to delivery department. The phone rings forever then goes off... I prefer Lowes to other home improvement stores because of their variety of items to choose from. They have better quality items which are more modern in design than Home Depot, especially in the lighting department. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. read more

Some of the staff at Lowe's in Springfield are rude and condescending. I got "I don't know" or "I don't think its available" without the person actually looking. I had one sales representative quote me an inflated price as he walked away from me and said the item was sold out. I never asked hime for a price, but walk over to customer service to get some help. Not only was the price half of what he told me, the item was also in stock. I have had much better experiences at Lowe's or Home Depot in Hadley. read more

Can I give zero stars? Last time we will EVER purchase from Lowes. Issues right from the get go. NO ONE answers phone at the store. Came dented, and after 48 hours, still no ice. Called the main Lowes customer service number. Was told they'd 'forward the complaint to the store and I'll get a call in 24 hours'. Nope. Call again -- nothing they can do to escalate. Call the store...finally get someone to answer. Ask for the manager -- Russ -- he's rude right from the get go, doesn't let me finish a sentence, tells me the dent is the 'biggest problem because I should have been sure the deliver guys took all the protective coatings off before leaving and checked it over' (so I should have been sure they did their job -- even tho I didn't know they were supposed to do that). Tried to determine process for replacing the unit, tried to see if there was a way to do it remotely since I ordered online (due to Covid and high risk factors), tried to see if we could even START the process remotely...he never once treated this is a Lowe's problem, but treated me like *I* was the problem and then...HUNG UP ON ME! Do not get delivery of items from this retailer!!! We bought a grill and scheduled a delivery for the next Saturday and chose an 8:00am time frame because we had afternoon plans. They never called to confirm so I called them. It took eight tries through the automated system to get anyone to answer the phone and then I was told that it wouldn't be delivered until a 11:45-3:45 time frame and the assistant manager at Lowe's had zero interest in trying to rectify this situation. I was told they don't do 8:00 time frames however the guy at Lowe's told us that time frame. Still no help from Lowe's. They are unreliable and unprofessional. Just had one of the worst customer service experienxes I've ever had at ANY store via one of your employees in the pro services department on the 28th of January at around 6:30pm. Upon asking a rather simple request; if we could have some 2x4s cut, we were met with a "the machine is broken" by a worker who we later found out was "on break". Not 10ft down another aisle, a much more polite employee said although the machine is down, there would be no problem just using a handsaw to cut them being as they were just simple, 1 cuts to 2x4s. However, this other employee was having none of it and started berating me for asking him to merely do his job; "Do you have any Fing idea how long this will take? Im on my break and you're gonna take up all my time!", "when I tell you the machine is broken, that means LEAVE, dont ask somebody else." Will never be shopping at Lowes again, such poor service. read more

I bought a fridge in the store and waited for a delivery whole week. when they delivered - fridge was damaged and I didn't accepted it, second delivery they bring damaged fridge again. On third week I called and called to store to speak to supervisor and customer service keep transferring me all over the store but nobody picked up. After about two hours on the phone operator picked up, she apologized to me and gave me phone number (888)775-6937 told me to call this number and complain on that store. When I called I find out that was Service Advantage number to order parts for appliances. Finally, next day I got store manager Rick Green on the phone and he told me that somebody will call me back. in 30 min somebody name Angel called me and told me that he will order new refrigerator for me and earliest delivery can be only in 10 more days! OMG I already waited 2 1/2 weeks and now I need to wait 10 more days! I had enough and just canseled my order. This evening I will drive to store to make sure that they would put money back on my card. So, three weeks later I still didn't get refrigerator from them. read more
