Our garden hose leaked again. This is the second times that it happened to us. We were extremely frustrated because it was only used for less than three months. We knew we bought it from Lowes, but we were unable to locate the receipt. So we came the store to find out if we can exchange it for another hose. We came to Lowes and explained to Mikayla at the service counter the situation . Since we didn't have the receipt, she asked if remember the credit card that was used to purchase the hose so we can get refund. Unfortunately, we left one of the card at home and that might has been the card that was used. Without the receipt, it would be impossible for her to get the product number to give us the appropriate refund. After a few minutes of struggling, she contacted her manager/supervisor and was able to complete the refund for us with a store credit. It works for us because all we wanted is to exchange for a working garden that works. We are very pleased with Lowes customer service. In a perfect world, it would be seamless to have a receipt but we didn't and we appreciate everyone that was involved that helped us yesterday. read more

Overall, I like Lowes . . . their prices are normally either the same or slightly lower (especially with the 5% off when you use their credit card) than Home Depot, but they are more like an upscale hardware store that does not always carry the same specialty items as Home Depot. With that being said, their return policy sucks and the location near Tampa Palms does not care for their customers. If you have problems at this Tampa Palms store, I highly recommend going to the Zephyrhills store which has both better selection and staff that cares about their customers. read more

Just recently I started on a home renovation projects. Lowe's of course Is a one stop shop for most all things renovations. They had clearance and sales all over which made me happy. The workers were very helpful. One in particular was a gentleman named Glen in the tile department. He really really helped us pick out the tile we wanted with the grout that we needed. He did some tile cuts and he cut them PERFECTLY! There was another gentleman that tried to help us on our second visit back to Lowe's and he just couldn't cut that tile as good as Glen, but he tried his best. We were able to complete our first home renovation project and can't wait to move on to the next. We have a Lowe's credit card as well that allows us to save and really maximize our spending! read more

He was very rude to my wife and I over a product we wanted to return after purchasing it just days before. He raised his voice at me and was very condescending. I think the manager position has gone to his head. Customers shouldn't be treated rudely, talked down to. Its hard to "avoid" certain places overall. I bought a window A/C at the Tampa Palms Lowe's the day that hurricane Milton was coming to Tampa. Today 3 days later I attempted to return an unopened unused A/C . I was refused. It was never explained to me or there was no warning on my receipt that there was a 48 hour return policy. A manager said that there was a sign on each register. Just their excuse to refuse the return. I have spent a lot of money at that Tampa Palms store. Now Home Depot will get all my future business. Byers beware. We have been extremely disappointed in Lowe's, and in this store in particular. We purchased a microwave through Lowe's around six months ago, and about two months into that, it had an electrical system malfunction. We worked with Frigidaire to attempt to repair it, but four months later, they were unable to do so. Frigidaire referred us back to the store to get the product exchanged. The store messed that up which then caused a huge fight over a refund of $38 that they refused to refund. The amount in question was related to the extended warranty which they "couldn't refund because it's not Lowe's money. It's the warranty company." Keep in mind the actual extended warranty was $99. We speak to everyone from the warranty company who tells us it's the store's responsibility to the store who tells us to call because they can't do anything. The store leader calls and basically shrugs his shoulders. Cut to the replacement microwave which proceeds to the experience a series of loud popping sounds about two weeks into owning it. It's the same model as the previous microwave. So we take it back to Lowe's to ask them to just return it because we're done with it. They shrug and say sorry, you only have 10 days to return it. You'll have to go through the warranty. We attempt to call the warranty company just so we can go through another four months of run around, but they're not open on the weekends. Every time we have dealt with this store, we are met with a mix of apathy and blaming the system rather than acknowledging that we've had a horrendous experience and attempting to make things right. We are done with Lowe's and will be cancelling our credit card with them as well. read more

Lowe's needs to put a waiting room in their customer service area. How many employees does it take to find an order? In the guy standing next to me's case, none. The employee couldn't find it, and the customer pointed to an object on the top of the shelves behind him and said "that looks like my item." I'm sitting in the patio furniture section, waiting for two employees to hunt down two bottles of bug spray. Damned special order. Never again, lol. This location seems to lack stock of basic supplies. I tried to place an order for pick-up today for 25 @ 5-gal Lowes buckets. They postponed the order as they didn't have enough in stock to fulfill it. So then, I had to cancel the other order items in my order too. Lowe's somehow merged my deceased father's customer profile and mine and can't figure out how to separate them. I have tried for several years. Recently I made a rather large appliance purchase from the store and they told me that they fixed the issue. After I paid I discovered they did not and not only did my father's name appear but the address was an address I haven't lived at in 2+ years. The salesman and I discussed both issues when placing the order. I went to customer service and the female rep made disparaging comments about me while on the phone with the appliance salesman who previously claimed the issue was resolved. After getting off the phone she told me I could try calling corporate but she didn't know how to fix and wasn't interested in pursuing a resolution. I promptly requested a refund and went to Best Buy where I saved money and received excellent customer service. Someone at corporate needs to schedule sensitivity and customer service training with the staff. How can I expect Lowes to honor commitments like extended warranties and appliance installs if they can't associate the correct name and address with the purchase. Rented a carpet cleaner and during the time I rented they never specified that the bottom brushes of machine needed to be cleaned before return and mine weren't even that bad but they kept my $35 deposit because of it. Since I have a new home, I am now experiencing all of the home improvement stores. Fun Fun. Especially when home improvement is something that I am pretty clueless with. I am not ashamed to say so. I mean, I lived in an apartment, and I finally have a house now. It is very exciting. I love learning new stuff. I came to home depot, and I was like, wow, there is a lot of stuff here for my house. I was blown away by the selection. I looked at everything. Yes, that was pretty cool. But, as a new home owner, that is pretty clueless, I ask tons of questions. What's wrong with that, I am learning right. For one of my first projects, I wanted to repaint a coffee table. I haven't painted anything, and wasn't sure about everything. I went to the paint department, and asked questions. They pretty much laughed at me as if I was stupid. I thoroughly felt that way. I did not feel that way at another store. I picked up the paint, but I felt that my answers were not sufficiently answered. Because of that, I did not want to buy the paint there. I decided to put it down. I am pretty turned off by that store now. I may like the selection there. But when it comes to home improvement, I am not the only one who has questions. With that, I present my two stars. read more

I like Lowe's better than other home hardware store due to store is well organize. The aisles are alway clear and not messy. I can in and out the store generally less than 30 minutes if I know the items I need. They are well stock and great selection of the items. I always can find the screw or bolt size that available. Hand tool or electric apparatus that fit my home can be located. I alway find the decorated ceiling fan that is easy to install and allowed me to switch on the light above or below the fan blade for lighting the room. The remote come handy to change the speed or reverse the direction of the wind flow depend on summer or winter. There are items bargain at each week. I found my appliance there with bargain most of time. Some time they selling the floor sample for a good pricing. The brand of the appliance ranging from May tag to the kenmore. I bought my no center blade washing machine there. I also bought my touch sensor faucets for my kitchen sink. It come very handy when your hand had soap or oil and you can open the faucets just a touch of the body part. I got most of the gardening flowering bush from their gardening section. Their selection is great or you can specific order any thing that is not in store for gardening and they arrange with their nursery. I alway love their power tool. It give me a right tool for the home project. It have wide selection of paint and color that create your interior setting like double tone color. Imprint pattern apparatus that can print on top of base coated color to create elegant interior setting. Lowe card come with 5% discount. So, I went to store for flooring for my whole whole house. They had a deal on installs, so we got a quote after a week and half (way too long, first red flag). Went to pay for floor and whoops we made a mistake we need another $500 (2nd red flag). Took 3 weeks for material to arrive. Not happy about that but asked for first material to arrive be installed. Scheduled install, they show up one speaks only Spanish and the other installer seems that English is not his first language. Don't really care what they speak of you can communicate. When the estimate person showed up, there was no mention of subfloor that needed replaced. Now installers say they want 1/3 of the subfloor replaced because of water stains. Installers leave, call Lowe's and they won't install floor until I replace the subfloor. Home depot didn't have an issue with the floor, 2 other flooring companies said no issue. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!! read more

Horrible customer service from purchase to delivery. I had to shop there because I had a gift card to use for the purchase. Bought a refrigerator and the guy ringing it up made a mistake. The manager was trying to fix it over the phone. He refused to come to the register. The delivery was even worse. It turns out the fridge was too big to handle for two people and they needed four. But it took almost two weeks to figure out how to do that. Lowes management was basically non responsive to the entire situation. It was left to one of the associates to finally help me out. Seems management does not believe in proper customer service. I live a mile from the store but I will never shop there again. At least we like our new fridge. read more

My father and I went to this store looking for a piece of marble tile for our vanity. Mike in the plumbing/flooring department sent my father 30 minutes out to a store that he called. Besides the side comments he made about not having trust in someone for 20 years, he said to talk to Mark in the plumbing department and that he was holding the piece for us. When we arrived at the store, there was not even an associate named Mark in the plumbing/flooring department. The person we should not have trusted was him. Horrible customer service. The greatest thing about walking into any LOWES is the smell. It's got some smell to it that just makes it....well...lowes. Pretty much every one of these are the same but this one I would rate a 3 among all the ones I go to. This place in particular seems like it employs a lot of the younger crowd....too much from my point of view. I see kids on their phones instead of walking around and doing work things. Call me old fashion but when I was a working teenager, this would have been automatic termination regardless of whether a customer needed help or not. SHOW INITIATIVE. Their products are of good to high quality, much better overall than Home Depot. I went recently to get some plants for the home and about 30 percent on display were pretty withered. I would say maybe get a guy to do some touch up work on these so people have more to choose from. Their paint department is top notch. They are very quick to help and find you exactly what you need. They give a lot of great painting advice to if you are not sure how to do it yourself. Overall, this place is decent. It's got most of everything you would expect from of Lowes....especially that smell. read more

Do not, under any circumstances, use curbside pickup at this location. I've used it 3 times now thinking it would get better and it hasn't. I waited over 45 minutes each time to get my items. After the 30 minute mark I call again to see what the hold up is and I'm told that they are short staffed but they are "working on it". Hate being sent to hardware store to pick up things I'm not familiar with... but big shout out and thanks to Chris who helped me during both visits I made on Sunday 5/6. On my 2nd visit I was there to buy a microwave. After the guy in that department was busy helping someone else, and me pushing the button for assistant twice, Chis who I didn't recognize from earlier was passing by and when I stopped him for help, he did just that. I later found out he was passing by headed for a break. So huge kudos for Chis (unknow last name... tall African American male). He's the type of employee who makes a business good.
