Terrible Customer Service! - I purchased a closetmaid 8'x12' shelf system online from the Tomball Lowes and did a curbside pickup. The associate that brought my shelf to the car was friendly. Upon arriving home I noticed there were no brackets or hardware to hang the shelf. I double checked the website and it did confirm that hardware was included. I went back to the store and asked for the hardware and was told it was not included. When I showed the associate my printed material from the website, she said the website was wrong and I would have to call Lowes corporate for a resolution. read more

I order a Samsung washer on April 4th it has not been more then 3 weeks and after calling them Monday they said they called the manufacturer and got them to ship it. Why now don't ask me. I was told it would be in by Friday and could be delivered by Saturday now after calling again today to check the Status and speaking to a very rude man named Greg he tells me the 25th which is next Tuesday. I had purchased a dryer with them and was happy with service so went ahead and bought the matching washer! Wish I wouldn't have, this time around I've had nothing but a run around. During this holiday season, needed a washer and dryer set 2-3 days before Christmas. Wanted no delays on delivery for the money I was paying. Best Buy's Willowbrook told me 4 days from 22nd and Hime repot was around the same time frame. Right under my nose there was Lowe's. And they told me the next day between 7am-6pm. Delivery service from there contract workers called Xpo were on time around 2pm the next day. Next time I want good service for my bucks, Lowe's is the way to go. read more

Just having bought our first home, and watching way too much HGTV, I would venture to say we visit this store at least 3 times a week. The store is always very clean and every aisle is labeled clearly. I also have found multiple rebates, saving us $100's for different items. Customer service has and continues to be fantastic; specifically in the paint and gardening departments. There is always an abundance of cashiers at all hours. While their prices might be a little higher, they are close, affordable and easy to navigate. read more

They called for help 3 times by me going and finding someone to make the page. We walked out and will never set foot in that place again. I have always been so impressed by Lowe's but not this location!! Showed up on a Sunday late afternoon and hardly anyone was working there. Except one guy frazzled in the paint department but we couldn't find many people to help us out. Found a few things and then got in the ONE line that was open and waited. Went over to customer service and asked the lady if she could get more cashiers. She just looked at me - no reply. I then added, the line is getting really long. She waited a few seconds and then quietly offered to let the head cashier know. Went back to join my friend in line and when we got to the check out we asked 'you can't call for back up cashiers?' He said, 'nope not many people are here working right now'. Sunday at 6pm?!?! When I first got in line I saw a cashier empty out registers (closing them). He could see the line was getting long. Closed them out instead of calling additional employees to the register and do that after servicing the customers. They do have self serve registers at this location - but all closed out. read more

Ordered a $950 dryer and paid for the vent and gas pipe for hook up. Parts were not delivered with dryer. After hours on hold I was told it would be delivered the next day. I also received an email to confirm. It was never delivered. On hold again tonight for over an hour. Lowe's is now saying the parts to hook up the dryer are on back order. I did not feel rushed out the door when it was closing. I went to a woman cashier at the register and a man at self check out. Both kind as can be. I have been to this store several times to gather painting supplies. Not having a great deal of knowledge in this area I hoped to get some answers from the staff. Today was the last straw when I encountered a young salesman who knew very little about the products in his department. He stated he is buying time until he gets his real estate brokers license in 9 months. He is clearly there for the paycheck and pretty much worthless to any customers needing assistance. We have endured poor customer service from this store for the past 2-3 years but now it seems you have to load everything yourself and we will be taking out business elsewhere. We have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at this store through huge home improvement projects in 3 separate houses. Today we were told you must load all your own concrete bags and they are no longer outside but inside the store. Does this mean you have to load all your own lumber from now on too? I went to the lows on 249 feeder road in Tomball to pick up some plywood and numerous other supplies for a project. I am no marketing expert and I have not done the research but I have to assume that Saturday is probably a busy day. Why do you have people standing around doing nothing while all the carts or at the other end of the parking lot and nothing in the store or even close to the store? 4 weeks ago I went in there and there were regional managers people will falling over themselves to ask me if I needed help. Seems like as soon as they left they went back to bad business as usual. After getting completely frustrated I put the stuff I had already picked out in a bucket and left. Never to return again. My only regret is I have to leave one star instead of 0. It's a shame that this company got too big for their britches And decided to follow Walmart's approach to customer service. Saturday, Sept 17, 7:00 p.m. The sign on the closed gates to the garden center stated: "Our Garden Center is open. Please enter through the store. Thank You." An employee in the garden center kept repeating to me "The garden center is closed. . . The garden center is closed" when I mentioned the sign he became angry and yelled "The garden center is closed". I'm sure I can read (and I took a picture of the sign). Perhaps the employee can't read or doesn't want to do his job. Either way - - being rude to a customer is bad for business. If you know exactly what you want and can lift it on your own, this store may be OK. But if you need heavy garden items loaded into your truck, try a real garden center. read more

I will never come back to this Lowe's even if it was last one. I went to the store after seeing that a ring battery was in stock and the store had 4 on hand. After checking the isle we found no luck. I should have left at this point. However my husband insisted we went to customer service. Racheal was assisting us and got the help of Kate. They grabbed another employee Carlos who then grabbed someone else who said it's located in the cage. They began to charge my card for two and said "go to the cage over there", when I asked where they all ignored me Until I asked again and then it was explained. Once going to the cage, 3 More people looked for it. They were nice in helping however could not find it. Once I got back to customer service I had the unlucky joy of dealing with Kate. When asked why sell me a product before making sure they had it in stock she rudely and raise her voice "WE DID". I kept my composure because clearly that was not Done before sending me on a wild goose chase and wasting 45 minutes of my time. Customer service at this store is incredibly bad. We went to look at flooring last weekend and had questions. We walked around in the flooring dept for about 40 minutes with zero help from any associates. We went to the back to look at some of the carpet they had there and the machine they use to cut the carpet was in our way. An associate walked by and clearly saw we were trying to look in that area and disregarded our existence. We started moving the machine ourselves and he walked on by without even a glance in our direction. We eventually made our way back to the hardwood/laminate section and I looked over and saw that same associate standing at the computer so I went to ask a question and he gave me a look like I was bothering him or something and said he couldn't help me. I asked who CAN and he smirked and said he would find someone. When no one showed up we decided not to buy flooring from Lowes but before leaving we stopped to look at doors. While looking around in THAT dept we were approached by an associate who tried to help us find what we were looking for but when he couldn't help us he said he didn't know because he doesn't work in that dept....he works in flooring. Excellent our flooring associate offers to help us after we've already gotten upset and decided not to buy from them bc customer service sucks! This is NOT the first bad experience we've had with this particular store. We went several months ago to look at fence materials and there were lots of young associates hanging out back there but not a single one offered to help us. I let someone up at the front know about that one. Also a year ago I needed to buy plywood so I ordered it and asked them to have it in lumber. I went to pick it up and no one offered to help me load it into my truck. Luckily there was a customer in the parking lot who offered to help me because he could clearly see that I was struggling. Why couldn't they help me? Good question. They were chatting it up behind the desk and telling jokes with another customer. I guess it takes 3 people to ring up one customer and other people's needs can just wait. I'm giving two stars because I like Lowes (in general) but the customer service here is crap. read more

I have been shopping at the Lowes in Tomball for 15 years but today will be my last day in the store. My wife and went to purchase a zero turn lawn mower, We did almost 3,000.00 later it took almost 30 minutes to find someone to load it. We were told to pull to a certain area to load the mower which we did then after about 15 minutes some guy came by and asked what we needed. I told him we were told to come to this spot to load the lawn mower. 15 later a guy came by and asked us to move to the front of the store which we did. Finally got the mower loaded. We pull out in the parking lot to get out of very ones way and to strap the mower down when we noticed the paperwork and key was missing. My wife went back into the store to find the keys and paperwork. after 15 minutes or so I walked back in the store to see what was happening. She said she was told to wait while they tried to find the items but the lady said she was not sure where they kept the stuff and would have to find someone to help(which she never did) I found a man that claimed to be the "manager" To explain we needed some help. He took a key from another mower and said "there all the same take this one" I told him I wanted all the paperwork that goes with my mower. We proceeded inside the store I told him i hated to be a pain but I just spent almost 3K so I wanted all the items that should come with it. He was upset because I mention it ad been over 1/2 hour trying to get this items. Inside the store he turned and said and I quote " you should not worry about the wait because I was NON ESSENTIAL and should not be in the store anyway" SERIOUSLY !!! Then as few words were exchanged between he and I about his comments and turned and said LEAVE MY STORE ! Purchased a washer/dryer from our local Lowes and was told I would receive a call to give me a delivery time. If the time would not work, stay on the line and reschedule. When I got the call, I did just that. I was told they have a third party delivery company and I could reschedule, but same thing, they deliver when it's convenient for them. I drive an extra 15 minutes to get to the Tomball location because everyone is always so helpful. I've not had one bad experience at this location. One time my husband forgot his wallet with his military ID and they still gave us his military discount because he showed them his USMC tattoo. The managers are great and their employees are always friendly, especially the older lady in the lumber check out lane. She's always working and always in a great mood. Love this place! read more

Lowe's Garden Center While visiting with my aunt in the Magnolia area, we decided to stop in at Lowe's Garden Center in Tomball for specific plants we were looking for. Not only did we find the plants we wanted, but also I found the service to be very good. I had questions about a specific plant I wanted and asked the cashier if I could speak with a Manager. Cory was very patient and knowledgeable about the plant I needed. After getting the plants home to my Aunt's house, she decided to go back the next day for two of her own. This Lowe's store has the worst phone system for customer service that I have ever experienced in my life. I purchased a lawn tractor last Saturday from this store and it was to be delivered on Tuesday, which was yesterday. When you call this store you get put in an endless loop that continually returns you to the initial store greeting because no one answers the phone for deliveries or customer service. Needless to say, my lawn tractor was not delivered yesterday and has not been delivered today either. They have no way to leave a voicemail message or an email request for contact. This is just another reason why so many customers continue to leave brick and mortar stores and purchase items online. read more

Had them redo our bathrooms. Their contractors were poor. There was very little oversight by Lowes or the contracting company. It was to take 2-3 weeks but ended up taking several months due to having to tear out and redo. No one from Lowes has come by to make sure things were done according to specs or to see if we are pleased or not. I will never have them do a job for me again. read more
