My "LOCAL" Lowes... Always friendly service.....knowledgable staff... Had a great experience buying a new washer dryer a few weeks ago.. price was outstanding.. They do honor price matching plus 10% discount. They will tell you HONEST delivery projections.. Delivery was trouble free.. with numerous updates on date and time....This locale is my GO TO big box store.... Recently I have appreciated them even more after receiving sub-par customer service at the Kuykendahl Lowe's store.... if there is a problem go right to the department manager or even the store manger they are all very helpful....They will address the problem.... read more

I stopped by the outside garden area the other day to pick up some garden necessities and I was greeted by a young man named Tommy. A wonderful employee, he assisted me with everything I needed from start to finish, he even neatly and quickly loaded everything I purchased into my car. The cashiers were friendly and made the whole experience go very smoothly. The store had everything I needed and the service I received was fast and thorough, the outside employees being knowledgable and helpful. At Lowe's they are a bunch of liars. I ordered carpet and they told me it would be 12 days before they would install it. After seven days the installers called and said it would be four weeks before they could get to my install. I called and of course no o e answered in flooring. I asked to speak to a manager. I talked with Rebecca who said yes your floor should get installed in 12 days. She would call me back when she talked to The installers. She did not call me back until two days later saying the installers would put me in a cancellation list. Like that will happen. On Tuesday I talked to Linda telling her my story. She promised to call me back. You guessed it she did not. She did not work on Wednesday so I could not get a hold of her. I was able to talk to my salesman. He said he would talk to Trey and they promised they would call me. You got it they did not. Now Al says he will call me back. I will be going up tomorrow and canceling my order and will not do business with them again. There excuse is Harvey. I call bullshit in that. It's been a year. Yes it's a Lowes, that's the only reason it gets one star. Most of the employees don't know where anything is. The staff turnover is tremendous as it's hard for the management to keep staff working there, which is probably why none of them know where anything is. Delivery and installation is appalling, with appliances arriving dented, scrapes and plaster in your home being carved out. The staff can ignore you, be rude, tell jokes amongst themselves while you stand waiting and I will say that's generally the male employees who run the whole show. I feel empathy for the women working there as it seems to be a good ol' boy network of disrespect in general towards females. Computer information about their customers is not updated or changed when you inform them that your address is incorrect. This leads to a tremendous time when orders are delivered to the wrong address, never received and then you are told you have taken delivery. Phonecalls are not returned etc. etc. etc. I am not alone in my opinion of Tomball Lowes. I have not spoken to a single person who has not gone through the same thing over and over again. One by one we all now do the extra drive to Home Depot down the 249. Service, knowledgeable staff, courteous respect for customers, high standards....basically simply professional. As for stores being clean...they SHOULD be clean!! I still shop at Lowes now and then when I'm out of Tomball but will never use the Tomball Lowes unless it changes drastically and addresses itself. What wonderful customer service! We were greeted by Kyle and he had an answer or advice for all of our questions/concerns. He was very knowledgeable & friendly. We left Lowe's in Tomball on 2920 completely satisfied! We are regular shoppers here but this experience was definitely one to top. This Tomball store is really lousy. The associates have no problem lying to you......multiple times! While Richard in self-check is a dream, the others...not so much.....I ordered $180 worth of wood online (I order this amount each week), and asked to have it ready in lumber....Associate "Vee" in Lumber told me to go down to garden....Cust Service "Ashley" told me the same....when I got to garden, associate "Laura" told me repeatedly that it was not in garden, it was back in lumber!!! I reparked the truck and associate "Ricky" told me to move my truck --- even when I told him all the other associates were "jerking me around"...I went back to "Vee" in lumber and she said that the wood was not there....I went back to Customer Service and told "Laura" she was wrong about the whereabouts of the lumber and NOBODY IN THE STORE KNEW WHERE MY ORDER WAS. I finally got the store Manager, Joe Fitzpatrick, to come out and discuss the problem....Vee does not know what she is doing, Laura does not know what she is doing, Ashley does not know how the others are mistaken, and Ricky can't stand if you park in the wrong place -- while the associates tell you lies......if you can, GO ANYWHERE ELSE! read more
