There are some employees who really try to help. However, recently My adult son and I were looking at water heaters to replace mine. There was no clerk we could see so he went to look for a dolly or something to load the water heater on in order to buy it. He couldn't find one. We finally left. We didn't buy a water heater. Most of the time we find clerks who don't know the items on the shelves. In other words, they don't seem to understand what the dimensions are or how something can be installed. One time I want a battery tester. There were 3 clerks involved. They didn't know what a battery tester was. I ordered one from Walmart.com. read more

I am 54 years old, and a long standing Lowe's customer. That said, my current experience with Lowe's (Tulsa Hills) regarding a paid for door install, with a doggie door included has been an absolute nightmare. I ordered the door in Mid-August of 2025. Here it is, October 23rd 2025, and I still do not have the door installed. I will walk you through what has transpired so far. Mind you, this does not include the numerous phone calls placed and in-store visit to Lowes to try and expedite this. 1. Mid August-Door ordered (paid in full) with Doggie Door installation. 2. Mid September, went into store to find out status on getting door installed. 3. The store didn't have record of the door. 4. Gave them a few days, they found where I had purchased the door, and blamed on of their vendors. The process started over again. 5. Three weeks ago got the right door ordered...install scheduled. 6. Day of install, took off work to have them install the door. 7. Got a call from Lowe's saying the door came without a doggie door in it. It would be several more weeks. 8. I actually got a call 2 weeks ago that they found a doggie door that would fit in the door and expedited my install. Install scheduled for today. 9. Today, got a call from Lowe's saying (again) that the doggie door that they re-ordered also was for a different door. 10. I went ballistic. I know it's not the fault of the person who called...she is simply doing her job. However, someone needs to either be retrained, or Lowe's needs better communication with their vendors. Throughout this process, I cannot tell you how many times Lowe's had zero idea what the vendor was doing, and the vendor (door maker) had zero idea what Lowes was doing. Just a warning from one customer to others...do not do business with Lowe's. Their idea of customer satisfaction is to dissatisfy their paying customers. Bought carpet there. 18 months later it was loose in all 3 rooms where it was installed. The installer was Midwest Contractors. Neither them or Lowe's was willing to fix it because they said the warranty on the labor was only one year. We had carpet prior to that for 8 years and that didn't happen. The cost to have it restretched is about as much as the original cost. Bottom line they did a horrible job installing it. read more

Other than building materials & lawn and garden, amongst their 40k items, they also offer design help, smart thermostats, and seasonal decor! Upon today's visit, we were seeking a more, energy-efficient dryer vent. We have the traditional, exterior slatted cover, but wanted to find something for the interior. We found one which can be installed between the dryer flex line and interior wall. It costs about 9. and we feel it will pay for itself quickly! As always, Lowe's had what we wanted! Another reason I support Lowe's is for their patriotism to their country! It can be seen throughout the store; not to mention, they offer military discounts to those who serve! I shop at this location more than once a week. I am frustrated by the lack of work ethic from the sales associates. Their lack of putting themselves out on the floor to help the customer is incredibly disappointing. Several times I have sought the help of someone to help load items in lumber to no avail. I literally had to put a board in front on a cart to prevent it from rolling away as I pushed the item onto it. I have witnessed women who are too busy chatting and the guys are floating around seemingly busy but doing nothing. I've literally stood in the middle of an aisle and yelled help. One Saturday, the gentleman watering the outside plants apologized because the garden center had yet to open the doors. The store had been open over an hour. The co-workers were inside talking. Nothing more. It's a long walk for anyone who has mobility issues. To me, it is insane and poor business practice. The selection of 85% of the annuals and perennials plants had brown spot or a type of fungus. So, the plants offer little to no value to the garden of the inexperienced. The plants will die. Every product should have value. The customer should be treated as if he or she is valuable to the company. read more

I drove August 23rd to the Lowes store in Tulsa on Olympia drive. I was looking to purchase a new fridge and dishwasher on the Labor day sale. Nobody was in the appliance department. I got zero assistance. A young man was standing at a desk eating chips. I asked if there was someone to help me. His exact words were, "Not anytime soon." I said fine and turned to leave. My husband was there and the Lowe's employee told him that they were short-handed. DOES THAT MANAGER NOT KNOW THAT YOUR HIGH DOLLAR TICKET ITEMS ARE IN THE APPLIANCE AND KITCHEN AREA???? Why would you be short handed there??? Shawnee Lowes does a better job so I will order from them. read more

Pros: we did eventually find almost everything we needed (garbage disposal, light bulbs, work light). Cons: they didn't have this uv black light pet urine Detector we were looking for. What is going on at this Lowe's? Because of this place, my husband says he'll only shop at Home Depot from now on. aisles were incredibly cluttered and made the store difficult to navigate. They did have an "excuse our mess sign out," but it was one sign in a random electrical aisle. What about the mess in every other aisle in the rest of the store? None of the employees knew where anything was! We had to ask 3 different people where the garbage disposals were. We got 3 different answers. Guy in the electrical section didn't know what part my husband was talking about even though we were using the correct name. We had to show a different guy a picture of the part. read more

No-one knows anything. This store is complete chaos. The management won't help resolve anything. Delivery/install people are kids who don't know what they are doing. Hooked up our fridge wrong and a water leak destroyed our 100 year old wood floors. Corporate office did nothing but give the runaround. Management never returned calls. Ordered a back door to be installed. We actually paid off the door (12 months no interest) before it was actually installed. Had to hire someone to fix the poor install job. We picked out a new refrigerator & the guy said it would be delivered on x date. When the refrigerator arrived.... It was the wrong refrigerator. I called lowe's & was told the manager was on vacation. The manager never called me back so I called every few days for a month & was continually told I would get a call back from the store manager! So Lowe's has lost our business. You can never find anyone to help. You feel completely invisible. We needed a compact refrigerator for our office and found a 4.4 cubic feet and this was the price below the model. We got the exact refrigerator in a box directly below the model. Listed price was $199 so when we went to scan it at the self checkout and it scanned $209 so we were told to go to the regular line so they could give us that price. Waited in line and I took this picture of the price while my husband waited in line. We were told it was a different model and had to pay $209. Look I know it's only $10 but right is right! People were walking out with all sorts of stuff with no receipt in hand... and yet he never checked them. read more

Yet another blind story. We went to the store to get a blind, have it cut and go home. Simple right? Well here we are on the way to the Bixby store. No one at the Tulsa Hills store could operate the blind cutter. I called the store from the aisle, because there was no one around, just to be hung up on not once but three times. My wife went to the service desk, no help. Finally a cashier called someone for us then stated I don't think anyone is here who can operate the machine. I know what you are thinking.....where was the manager on duty? No one knows. We walked back to the car, old blind in cart no one said a thing. I concur with the previous customer, run from this store. The head cashier at the Bixby store answered the phone on the third ring, so this Lowes lost a $$130.00 sale, and all future sales from our family. Did I mention I am having to walk with a cane right now? That didn't matter either. So it has nothing to do with Lowes but everything to do with the store management. I started my blinds order mid June, so I could beat the heat here in Tulsa in my sunroom. One month later, I'm still waiting. Michael S. is correct: "No-one knows anything. This store is complete chaos. The management won't help resolve anything". They finally told me I could pick them up. Waited for the installer. He came. The blinds we had picked up had not been cut! The well-travelled blinds are back at the store. Today, I was told they are still waiting on more blinds for me. They have my money and I'm stuck. Run from this store. Run!!! Worked with the kitchen design group for new cabinets and counter tops. Once it was time to get everything installed, we found out Lowes set us up with all out of town/state installers/vendors. We would have had to drive to Denton, Texas to pick out our granite. Company handling delivery of cabinets was out of OKC. Lowes put our information in the system wrong and out cabinets kept trying to be delivered to the wrong address. Then the company delivering the cabinets wouldn't correct the address until they received Lowes approval. We had to drive one and a half hours to meet the delivery people multiple times. Quality of the cabinets not as good as expected. Didn't get the correct edging on the counter tops. I've ever had to deal with. It's impossible to get a manager on the phone. You also have to call two separate departments, one for the counter tops and another for the cabinets. I would strongly recommend you find someone else to help with your home updates/remodel. After a month of trying to get someone on the phone to deal with the issues with no luck, I emailed corporate and then someone finally called me. They offered $500 refund and had to sign a piece of paper to void the install warranty. We spent $20k and didn't think a $500 credit was enough to void warranty and give up our right to share our disappointment about our experience with Lowes. read more

As the other reviews indicate, this store is incredibly poorly run. We ordered a generator online to cope with this week's ice storm. They charged our credit card and sent us a confirmation email. We then drove two hours to pick up the generator, only to be told that they had sold it to someone else and that no generators were available. While they had plenty of generators left that they could have used to fulfill our order--which, again, they had already charged us for--they wouldn't give us one of those because they were "reserved for other customers." Not one single person we talked to could find a damn to give about their screw up. The staff members were beyond unhelpful; they were actively and appallingly rude. read more

We played phone tag back and forth for a couple weeks re: what type of trim we'd want. We finally got ahold of them almost a month later and they had us marked as a "decline"! Seriously! Just had a bad experience. Loaded up a flat bed cart with lots of plants, an outdoor clock, umbrella stand and other stuff I needed. I was in a good mood and waited patiently to check out in the garden center. When I got to be 3rd in line, the cashier announces she's leaving and the lady in front of me was the last person she would check out. I was told I'd have to go to the other line. WHAT?! Now I have to get in the other line and wait another 30 minutes. No way. The other cashier told her to wait. She tells him that then other people would just keep getting in line. I left several hundred dollars of stuff sitting right there where I was in line. So sad, but that's just wrong. She should have put up a sign behind me saying that line was closed. read more

Why does Lowe's treat truck drivers like dirt? Was made to wait 2 1/2 hours to unload. I guess Lowe's thinks that truckers time is free. I ordered a washer and dryer and set the delivery for July 28th for a birthday surprise for my mother. They tried to deliver on the 14th when no one was home because of course it's not the delivery date. They left a note on the door and a voicemail ruining the whole surprise. I spoke with a manager who confirmed all paperwork showed the 28th. There was no apology or offer to look into the issue more deeply. It was awful customer service. He also said they only had the washer on the truck to deliver and left the dryer behind at the warehouse so even if they did deliver it, it wouldn't have been the complete set. I never bought anything from Lowe's before and I'm never going to again. I recommend The Home Depot instead. read more

We ordered a new dishwasher last week and went to go pick it up a few days later. My husband noticed it had a huge dent in the back, most likely caused by the shipping company. So, the store orders us another new one. A few days later we go to pick that dishwasher up. It was wrapped up and boxed so we didn't bother checking for dents; our mistake. We get it home and sure enough, there's a big dent in the back. So here we go again, the store orders us another new one. A few days later my husband has to load up the damaged dishwasher and head back to the store for the new one. Upon getting there he sees three Maytag dishwashers lined up that are identical to the one we ordered; he assumes one has to be ours, but no, they're all reserved and they don't have one for us. Seriously? My husband is told to go to the store in Bixby for the dishwasher. Good news, Bixby has the flawless dishwasher and treat my husband with courtesy. Moral of the story, always check your items for flaws before leaving the store and avoid Lowe's Tulsa Hills at all costs!!! read more

This spring I went to the garden center to get mulch along with other garden supplies. Spring was here and time to start gardening. The young lady when I got to the cashier did not have a clue as to what template to use to scan for the mulch. Actually she did not even know onAe existed. She hollered across to the other cashier "do you have a book with bar codes?" A very large book was passed across and the young cashier proceed to push the book toward me and said "here!" With that I walked away leaving things on cart. Home Depot has been great to work with me. read more
