This is an update to my original review. While waiting for the replacement stove to arrive (during that 2 week wait mentioned in the original review), we were contacted several times by the department supervisor, Antonia, who wanted to stay on top of how things were progressing. Following the arrival of the replacement stove from Lowes, it was delivered and installed professionally, and quickly. The following day, Antonia called us again to verify all was good with the delivery - she then told us she was submitting a ticket to the corporate office for some compensation for our trouble. We got a call the same day and the gentlemen from the corporate office informed us they would be sending us an email with a link for some monetary compensation, which we received that same day. While it wasn't a huge amount, it was a little biggeer than we expected and it was a nice gesture. I updated my rating to a 3-3.5 specifically for the help and attention we got ofter our misfortune began - the shipping agents at the Northwest Store, the Superior Supervisor at the East store (Antonia), and the corporate office gentleman who's name I cannot find in my notes. Lowes did work hard to "make it right", so they got the upgrade. I would still caution anyone using them to remain VERY detail orientated, and ask even the simplest of clarifications to make sure you understand what you're getting. Follow ups are a MUST as the sooner you catch an error or mistake in their process, the easier it might be able to adjust/fix. read more

Normally don't shop at Lowe's but I do like the people in this store. What is really unsatisfactory and irritating, is trying to check out on the self-service aisle with a veteran's card and having to show your ID every time you go through, and the process at the kiosk is very confusing. read more

Sam Konnor sales did a terrible job!!! He came to the house to determine the correct size our doors were (bought 3 exterior doors plus hardware) when they installers came here to install the doors. The two storm doors were not at all what we were told they were plus they did not send a deadbolt that was purchased and had to use our old hardware. Customer service is severely lacking as well when I tried to call about a refund. Don't use this store or salesman you will not be happy. read more

if you're thinking about custom ordering windows or garage doors from Lowe's then do yourself a favor and just don't. They'll take your money up front and then you'll be mired in weeks of delays, no communication that you don't instigate, hours on hold, never the same story twice and may have to end up cancelling in the end because they and their inept group of outsourced vendors and installers can't fulfill your order. I thought they were the less expensive easy button but they are a blanking nightmare. read more

the customer service is so terrible. everytime i call or ask for help on the floor, they're ALWAYS huffing and puffing. I just recently called about a lost item I has just purchased but realized it wasn't in my car, they gave me a long list as to why they couldn't help me find locate it. theres literally one person watching people check out and maybe 1 person ringing others. what is so difficult about asking the people if someone turned in a bag or checking to see if a bag was left behind in the self check out. read more

Lowes is bringing in quite a bit of cheap foreign product. I prefer Home Depot for a number of reasons, including their more active support of American manufacturers and stocking higher quality products. read more

Horrible!!! Waited over 30 minutes for a price on lumber, because only about half of the lumber is actually priced Told that it's not in the system and that they would give me a "deal" for the wait. The "deal" was a price twice that of The Home Depot! Told to wait even longer while they looked into why it was so high (not the right product quoted), so I just left. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, DON'T GET CARPET W/FREE INSTALLATION! I normally don't leave bad reviews, but I've been strung along for 5 months. I've had carpet installation done many times over the years from Home Depot, Star Lumber, Jabara, and Lowes. I am 55. This time I chose the free installation from Eastside Lowes in Wichita. They have a company called Mark's Flooring that does the install. Everytime I called about the problems with install, I'd get a different person telling me they had to get with someone else then get a call they cant do anything to fix it then they tried to say it was the carpet itself and had the manufacturer rep come out and he told me it was the installation. He said they should have made cardboard forms so the carpet came up to the trim. They also didn't put a transition over the carpet so it's getting ruined in 2 bedrooms. Mark's Flooring said it was fine. There is more to the story. But no more space to tell it you have been warned. read more

I went in today and spent over $500 and after loading up the truck I found that I forgot to do a return. I take the return inside and the two ladies at the front desk doing returns where evidently in the worst mood they could possibly be in, she got all nasty with me from the get-go so I decided to speak with the manager told him about it gave him the $12 in supplies and told him that I will never come back to Lowe's. This isn't the first time something like this has happened at this particular store . What I find really interesting is all the negative reviews that you find on yelp for this store. Do not schedule a pro to come out. They will reach out within 2 days. Well, reaching out is a ANGI text and email where they schedule you without checking your schedule to see if it is mutually agreeable. I re-arranged my schedule to fit it in and then an hour before they cancel and automatically reschedule without checking with me to a date where I can not be there. I go online to reschedule, find an open date before the one they rescheduled and it gets cancelled because it is too soon. I go back to the email to reschedule again and the link doesn't work. I search online for their phone number and after 15 minutes find it. The telemarketer tells me this pro was overbooked. I think the whole thing is a scam to make you think you will get someone out soon and then you wait two or three weeks. Lowe's you can do better! read more

Fiance and I went to Lowes on east Kellogg to purchase counter tops. We went once on a weekday evening and found that the one person in the kitchen planning department was busy with a customer so we waited a half hour or so and when we didn't get any help we simply left. We went back on a Sunday afternoon and found the same situation - one person working that area and she was too busy to even tell us that she would help us as soon as possible. It should have been obvious that we were waiting on counter top help as we picked a selection of samples and sat down at one of the kitchen planning desks to look them over. We finally gave up after a half hour and left. We went up the road to Home Depot where we found they were also very busy, but they pulled associates in from other departments to get folks greeted and started on their selections. Yes, the help from the other department could not answer every question, but they helped us stay engaged and feel valued, and they got us in the ball park cost-wise until someone else could finalize the sale. We paid $4,400 on the spot that Lowes could have had if they had cared enough to try. read more

Was suppose to have a Fence put in 2 weeks ago well finally we are on tract Bulider to arrive this Thursday well no go now Friday well again no go asked if Saturday would work i said yes. Was asked if product as delivered, umm No, but then was dropped off yesterday, yes progress well no not exactly called the builder because already 10am he thought product was not delivered so was a no show. Well now i have wood in my driveway and no builder for possible over another week. Very Very Angry right now have to worry about product getting stolen, can not let my dogs out with out leash, can not open pool, this is not a huge project, what a slap in the face. read more

Lowes is my favorite DIY store in town. They have everything you would need for your projects. They actually have people working the isles that can help you find stuff. These folks know their stuff. If you have a project they will take the time and tell you what you need Excellent customer service. They also have the largest garden center I have ever seen outside of a nursery. There's an old woman who babysits the self checkouts and she literally stands next to you while you're scanning, watching every move. It's rude and creepy. It's happened every time I've been there. I was very disappointed. I used to like Lowe's, and years ago I had a major installation project done by Lowe's that is still very good. However, this time I needed carpet installed. To start, they sold me a product that was incompatible with my installation. Two different Lowe's staff who covered that area of the store knew the plan but let the purchase go through. Then they called me with a "delivery date," so I cleared the area and adjusted my schedule. When they did not show, I called, and they informed me that the date was for the delivery of the product to the installation subcontractor, who would then call me about an installation date. This was not the content of the call. Meanwhile, the installation contractor, a specialist in these products, also did not address the incompatibility of the products. Two weeks later, when the installation contractor arrived, the workers immediately said they were incompatible. We called the installation contractor's office--yes, the product was incompatible. Called Lowe's--yes the product was incompatible. So they both knew but failed to address it, and at the moment of installation I had to make a split second decision about what to do. Went ahead with an installation of the products that could be installed, and arranged a return pick-up for the incompatible product, but the truck did not come. Called--"no, you are not on the schedule." Rescheduled, and they picked up, but after waiting with no result for a few days for the refund to show up on my credit card, I had to call again. On hold twice for nearly half an hour, shifted over and over through automated menu circles that kept coming back to the same options, then finally--"no, we are not in the process of issuing a refund because our team back at the store did not log in the product." So in other words, though the product had by that time been out of my hands (which I had a receipt for), they planned to deny my refund because of a failure in their own bookkeeping. After finally insisting that the person on the phone get someone to check while I was on the phone, she--as far as I could tell--located a picture of the return online and issued the refund. I am sad to end my relationship with Lowe's, but when there is both incompetence at the sale end and this much difficulty getting the issues addressed, I have to remember that there are other big home improvement stores at least as close to me and at least as well-stocked as Lowe's. read more

Really, I WISH I had other option than use this Lowes. I'm called names to my face over and over by some of the employees joking around with other male customers. No need to let blue collar walk all over a college education but it's just Wichita's slum charm. I will be moving soon and closer to a local chain, Sutherlands. ALWAYS had good rapport and great service there. Raised around Wichita only to see my father called everything over and over even with GREAT employment. Service could be discriminatory according to minorities or shitty for all with the Nat'l stores for who knows why. Gotta do business local to really meet the good ones. Online ordering is terrible, I ordered a dryer during the Memorial Day sale and it went to the wrong store and I wasn't able to get it sent to the right store- it took over a month to get my money back. Yesterday I ordered a ceiling fan and got the run around, Saying corporate held my order although they could see it in the system. I live an hour away and employees were like just come back or put it on another card... like $330 is no big deal just to charge me twice and give no option for a refund as that was my problem to figure out. They have no care for customer service. I'm done with Lowe's I'll travel further and spend more just to go elsewhere. read more

Go to lowes on Monday and behold, no more drills at that price, told I could buy the $149 model or drive another 30 mins and try another store. I thought bait and switch was against the law. Today 07-06/2019. Went to buy the new John Deere riding mover and asked for help as there was no sales person. This store is good if you want to walk in and pick something up but we do not recommend it for special orders. We paid thousands of dollars for special order materials only to be put off, phone calls not returned and promised incorrect delivery dates. We have missed work, rented unnecessary trailers and wasted over a month. Still waiting. read more

As far as my vinyl flooring goes, excellent job. Carpet is a different story. Lowe's should seriously consider changing who they contract out for carpet because they are an absolute disgrace. Pruitt flooring did a shoddy job all around. Carpet easily comes undone on staircase. They were aware we have a toddler. We also have two other toddlers at our house regularly and I'm still finding exposed carpet tacks throughout- Luckily I got stabbed in the finger before the children did and it was taken care of then and there. My husband can fix it himself luckily. If you need carpet done don't waste your money, just go somewhere else. read more

DELIVERIES ARE JUST TERRIBLE. They promised me my washer and dryer on the 31st of August. Instead they call me the day prior to saying I have to wait 1 more month for my washer, due to it being out of stock. SERIOUSLY?! So I improvise and get myself a similar washer. I was expected to get everything the next day. The delivery driver comes like said.... But for some odd reason they only delivered my washer.. Where the hell is my dryer?! My mom was in the trim isle looking for a certain trim. A worker was there taking pictures with his cart in the way and she said "excuse me, can I get through?" and he ignored her, so she asked again. He finally moved, then she asked if he could help her find a trim. And his reply was "well you're in the trim isle aren't you?" Bad customer service. She got what she needed on her own, and regret not saying anything. Overall, shouldn't the employee help a customer find what they need even if they're in the isle? read more

Purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator on l0/08/2021along with an ice maker. Could not deliver until the following Monday, 10/11/2021. Delivery was on time. There were no screws provided to attach the refer or freezer doors handles. Delivery crew said they would contact the store to get them provided. Ice maker was installed. However, the fill tube was not inserted correctly and we did not discover that until there was water running into the back of the refer and on to the floor. Some however did fill the ice container with water that froze to a 10 pound block. I contacted the store but the appliance rep was as clueless as a pre-schooler and provided no assistance but said they would have the regular sales person call. Never did. 1-800 number for customer service is a joke. Customer service is terrible. read more

From sales to delivery, it was a great experience. Everyone was honest, informative and absolutely helpful. I can't recall my salesman, but Joe and Josh from this location did my delivery and were fantastic. Very quick and attentive to each other working like a world class team does. Never ever ever use the pro services had them install a fence and deck after meeting them at the home show too forever to finish project but that really didn't bother me the biggest issue is getting them to come warranty the gate they put up from the day they put it up it wasn't right been trying to get a hold of the Brandon the guy I signed a contract with and after many phone calls and emails he did nothing talked to the store and after 4 calls nothing has been done talked to the builder and after 4 calls with him he says he will take care of it it's been a year never again read more

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I've had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life here. We were supposed to have new floors installed today, but due to employee incompetence, we aren't. Last week, they claimed a delivery driver attempted to deliver our product. We have a ring. I have physical proof no one came to my house. At all. When the employee quoted me the delivery address it was the WRONG address!! She apologizes and says unfortunately now they won't be able to deliver it for at least another week. Fine. Annoying, but I understand it's out of her control. She was very sweet and helpful and did what she could to reschedule it as early as possible. I reminded her that the installers would be coming today and needed to be rescheduled, as well. She assured me they would be. Well, here we are first thing Monday morning and who appears? Installers!! No one ever notified them so of course the one they're upset with is me. So now I call the store again and am connected to Brittany, the manager or the flooring department. I tell her what happened. She tells me it's my fault that the product wasn't delivered. False!! No one ever came! So she's a liar and accusing me?!? This is the manager?!? The problem is no one ever called these guys to reschedule but their rude manager is going to blame the customer?!? The manager!!! I am absolutely disgusted. To top it off, she spoke over me, interrupted me, and then hung up on me. I cannot dissuade any and all from using their flooring department or coming into contact with this awful manager read more
