This is not the Lowe's I typically shop at. I went here because the app said they had what I needed in stock, while my usual Lowe's did not. I was buying the supplies to put some shelves up for my friends. I wanted to get the type that you install the track on the wall, and can move the brackets to adjust the shelf height as needed. My Lowe's said it only had one track available, so I came here because they said they had 8 tracks in stock. I loaded my cart with all the supplies I needed, and a few other items, then headed to get the track and brackets. There was only one track on the shelf. I looked through the entire area, just in case they were hidden behind another product, but could not find any more. I find it very hard to believe that somebody came into the store and grabbed 7 tracks of the exact size and color I was there for in the less than an hour it took me to check the app and drive over there. I bought everything, plus the single track, then headed to my usual Lowe's to pick up the last track I needed. When I got there, I found 5 on the shelf. I wish Lowe's would keep an accurate accounting of what they have available at the store. read more

We used to love shopping at Lowe's and their installation services were exceptional, but post-Covid, they told me they outsource their installations to a third party, and we've had a lot of issues with it since then. Sad to say, we will be shopping elsewhere in the future. I hope they go back to using their own team of installers, because until then, I think their business will suffer. For example, we had installers come out four different times without the proper equipment to install a ceiling fan we bought at Lowe's and ended up having to return the fan. One of the fans we did have installed made noise. Lowe's did send someone out to troubleshoot it, but the installer drove from another city an hour and a half away, and he discovered that a screw had been left out of one of the blades, which was causing this rattling sound. These are just two of the issues-we have a list. It's very disappointing. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement stores are usually staffed with a myriad of extremely knowledgeable and helpful employees, eager to offer up exceptional customer service experiences. NOT HERE, THOUGH! Inside THIS particular store, it's every man for himself because employees that are generally assigned to work the actual floors of this warehouse-type shop are either hiding or avoiding being approached altogether! And the obvious incompetence continues onto their cashiers who remain clueless due to lack of training and a "revolving door approach" to the business' constant hiring and firing! In other words, if you're in a rush or in dire need of help while you shop hardware goods, lawn care and such then you might want to save yourself a headache that's sure to follow, miss the foolery of this store altogether and venture a just little bit further down the road to shop inside Home Depot, instead. I made an appointment online for a kitchen cabinet and counter consultation. The appointment was confirmed and I also received a reminder email 2 hours prior to the appointment, reminding me of the time. When I arrived, I was "greeted" by Sandie Sadler whom the appointment was scheduled with. She asked what we needed and we told her we had an appointment for a consultation. She immediately sighed and said we needed to reschedule because she had a conflict. She asked if we made an appointment online, which we did and she said that was a problem. She offered zero assistance in making us another appointment and basically acted like we were bothering her by wanting to find a time that would work. She never apologized for the inconvenience and never once smiled. Her lack of basic customer service and kindness was shocking. An apology or even a smile would have gone a long way instead of her making us feel like we were bothering her by trying to give Lowes our business. read more

We went in there they other night to buy a hot water heater because our failed that morning. They guy who handle us didn't seem to know how to handle a check and told us that is was declined. I do not believe he was doing it correctly as the other lady asked him why he was putting everything in manually and his response was he likes doing thing the hard way he guessed (joking apparently). Well we didn't find it funny it came back declined so we went to Home Depot and got one. No problems with a check there. I will not go back to Lowe's for anything else as they have poorly trained employees and I can't depend on Lowe's to do us right or even give us a right help when we need it. We went there today to buy a shark vacuum. After waiting about 5 minutes because we needed help getting one down we decided to find an employee to help. One woman that worked there was rude and said she was a cashier and we needed to find someone in appliances. We found another lady that was somewhat nice at first but then proceeded to follow us to the register. Made us feel like we weren't trustworthy or we were trying to steal it. Didn't like that very much. We bought it by the way. Last 2 visits before today were also not good experiences. They need to work on assisting people better and being a tad bit more friendly. read more

Wish i had never went through lowes for my fence installation. I should've did Home Depot. I see why now. Overall, horrible experience. They sent us bad fencing company- with poor installers. We have a warranty, we called recently to have installers to come back out to fix our gate lock which was never put on correctly initially- and they are not wanting to help us. They want us to pay for a new lock and the labor if they send installers back out although in our contract it should be covered under warranty. It's all a scam in my opinion. I hate it so bad, wish i never went through them. Horrible horrible and horrible sums it, and to make a long story short!!! read more

Lowes Knows Pros - BLOWS. I went to this store because I needed to hire a contractor to do some work on my home. I made my first visit on June 03 2019. They set up an appointment to get the measurements of what I needed done. They got to my home right on time. The man was very professional and was in and out in a short time. He told me he would go back to the store and work up the estimate . He told me I would get a call in a few days. At this pount I was happy with my decison to go this route. In about a week they told us to come into the store and pick out the materials for the job. They told us they were setting us up with a good contractor and would be calling us in a few days. In a week or so they called and said the regular contractor could not do the work. They gave us over to a sub-contractor who called us within an hour. He said he may send us to another sub-contractor but we had to give them money first. We looked him up on line and found many reviews that said they paid him and they never came back to do the work. I went to talk to a manager on 7/14 and asked if Lowes was standing behind the contractor. He told me he would call me back in a day or two. After eight days without hearing anything I went back to the store. That was 7/22 and all the managers were in a meeting and could not come out to talk to me. The associate I was talking to said she talked to them and they promised to call me ASAP. Today is 7/27 with no call or anything. Lowes may be OK for toilet seats or paint. All I got from Lowes was a screw!! read more

This store had been advertising a brand of mulch for $2.00 per bag, but was out of stock for weeks on it. They would not offer a rain check and only offer "We may get some in on the next shipment", which never happened. Magically, after the sale went off and they went to $3.33 per bag, they had an abundant supply. Customer service any most departments is non-existent too in this store. read more

They seem to have the most availability in store, once ordering online. Fast, and easy collection service, they even have restrooms. Top tip: Order online for the best deals and collect in store. We ordered a ghost projector for Halloween, which was only $14 and has transformed our apartment to a spooky lair! read more

Let me start by saying I highly respect Lowe's for the honor they show veterans. I had a very expensive deck repair done two years ago (Trex) by Lowe's contractors. But now I find after two years, they did not replace the rotten wood, but instead placed the Trex over it. Unfortunately, Lowe's very courteously told me the warranty is only for one year and over half of my deck was completely destroyed. I would not recommend Lowe's contractors for work if you are expected to supervise and tell them how they should perform. This deck and walkway ($12K) should have lasted 30+ years (as I was promised) -it lasted 2 years. Shame on you Lowe's. Do NOT trust Lowe's contractors! read more

I normally don't do this but I have never had a customer service experience quite as bad as this one! From start to finish, everything just seemed to go wrong. We ordered a new grill online for pickup at this location. After about 3 weeks of "in process" we decided to call and see if it was ready, as maybe the system hadn't updated. We were told the order had then been canceled because we never picked it up, even though we were never notified the product was ready. Today we went in to pick it up and had to stand around and wait for at least 45 minutes.. it didn't seem understaffing was an issue as there were plenty of employees around, but most were on their phones. The young lady named Charley was working the customer service lane ALONE, and she did a wonderful job considering she was alone with tons of people in line and no help. Once we finally got the grill, we asked for help securing it with the ratchet straps, but the gentleman working just put it in the truck and walked away. Our total time at the store was at least an hour and a half. I'm not sure what needs to happen but this store is completely unorganized and the quality customer service is severely lacking! read more

Ordered a new screen door and screens using Lowe's installer. It took several phone calls to get the installer out to measure for the opening. When the door arrived the installer was very short but was able to agree on an installation date. The installer did not check to make sure he had everything, did not bring out the screens, the latch, or enough screw covers. It took several visits to the store and calls to corporate to get him back out. He brought the screens, still no latch and the wrong screw covers. Another call to corporate. The latch was sent to my house and nothing from the installer. Still missing the screw covers. Lowe's will not be getting more of my business read more

I ordered a stove which was supposed to be delivered on 4/24. Our schedules were rearranged as we awaited for the delivery to no avail. I didn't receive a phone call despite giving them 3 different phone numbers. I called them and was supposed to receive a return call. That didn't happen. I later called and spoke with the Appliance Supervisor, Ann. I explained the situation and asked if I could be compensated for the poor service because I'd been terribly inconvenienced with time & money. She stated that she'd call me back...but, she didn't. The stove was finally delivered 10 days late. Still received no call or explanation for the delay. read more

Bought washer/dryer, was told they could install by sales rep, upon arrival was told we would have to remove a rack in the laundry room so they could do the install, and that they would be back the next day in the morning. The next day comes and we call to find out when they will be here. The delivery supervisor comes in the afternoon, measures and tells us that they can't do the install. This after wasting 2 days of our Labor Day holiday waiting on them, and after putting a hole in our wall to remove the rack. If the first man had told us they couldn't do it, we would have moved on, but that is not what he said, so we unnecessarily damaged our home due to false information. Never seen such poor service and communication, we will never do business with them again. This is for the Lowe's on Hanes Mall Blvd in WS: The employees are nice, but I can NEVER get through when I call on the phone. I tried literally 5-6 times today to reach custom kitchen and bath cabinets. I was sent to plumbing, then customer service, then to flooring, then back to customer service, and then just was hung up on. I called again - similar thing happened. One manager said the folks in custom cabinets were in, another said they were not in at all today. When I go in person, I have a very hard time finding anyone to help me. I've remodeled nearly my entire house and have spent so much time and money at Lowes. I expect better! HIRE. MORE. PEOPLE. There are just not enough folks working here to handle to volume of customers. read more

Had a 6 week wait as Bosch dishwasher we purchased had to be canceled and re rung to a different SKU twice more as store was not informed of model discontinue/substitute number or intro of new model! Appliance sales personnel were caught in the middle of this protracted experience and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. Enter store manager Josh Smith and we got a suitable Bosch dishwasher in 10 days and all is well. I needed a door that was listed on the LHI website and available at their North Winston Salem store. Drove down there to order and have it delivered as soon as possible. When I went to the Doors & Windows section I was told by the person working in that section that they didn't have that door but there was one in High Point. No, they could not have it delivered to their store from the High Point store because they "don't carry it in stock." So its listed on the LHI website for sale, they have it at another store but they can't get it to the WS store......so I ordered it online on their store computer from the High Point store for delivery to the house address and the guy prints out a copy of the order. During all this time he is talking with another associate about T-shirts and staff meetings, new shirts, painting shirts, stuff like that while I am basically ignored. Never got an email or text about the order because that order was never placed according to High Point Lowes. The next morning, today, I tried to inquire about it and there was no record of it being placed, no PO number, and had to replace the order online with High Point. The whole experience was so unprofessional it amazes me that the Winston Salem store still exists. They're seeing the last of my business. read more

Ordered a fridge Memorial Day weekend (University Parkway-WS Lowes). Was told it would be delivered June 4. They called June 3 to tell me it would be June 5. It was postponed, yet again, to June 6-delivery at 3. They called that day to tell me it would be 6pm, June 6. They called at 6 to tell me they wouldn't deliver at all. Today is June 7 and I still haven't heard. I called the North Winston-Salem Lowe's on University Parkway (where I ordered it) and they either did not answer or got disconnected. I went through appliances and they told me it would be delivered on June 8 (no one called to tell me, but I had to call them.) I asked to speak to a manager, disconnected again! Finally, went through corporate to help resolve issue. "Delivered tomorrow, mamm." (It's like, "the check's in the mail." I'll believe it when I see it. Learn from my experience! There is such a lack of customer care and communication with this company. I ordered a washer/dryer set. The day before scheduled delivery, we receive a call stating the washer was damaged. They could deliver the display or reorder and deliver in another week. We had them reorder. On day of delivery at our home we were told by the delivery men that the model number changed but it was the same washer. We set it up they leave. We realize it is NOT the same washer as it appeared. It did not have an agitator and the one we ordered did have one. We call the store and are told the one we ordered can not be ordered any more because it's not available. Staff failed to even attempt to contact us to relay this info when they placed the second order. The Lowe's staff then tell us our only options are to 1) keep it or 2) set up a time for Lowe's to come get it for a refund and to purchase another one. We go to the store, there isn't one available in the size and with features (AGITATOR) that we wanted. We check with customer service about the extended warranty coverage since the model number is different. She had to refund the whole purchase and ring it up again. Again, lack of communication that this needed to be done. She also failed to inform us that when she did this, the refund to our account would take several days but the charge would come out immediately. I call the store again today to ensure my refund would be placed back into my account. I was told the managers were "too busy" to speak with me. I call corporate. They send me to the refund department which was closed. I will NEVER spend my money at this store again! If I decide that this washer/dryer set is not working out, I will have them come pick it up and take my business to a company that actually values their customers! read more

I bought a new refrigerator here on May 9 and they damaged the railing to the front steps to my house, rendering them unsafe, and still haven't done anything about it 3 months later. Despite telling the store that I had steep steps up to my house, they only sent a 2 man crew and the refrigerator apparently got away from them while bringing it into the house. I heard some swearing and banging, and discovered the next day they had dangerously broken loose the corner upright for the railing, and part of the railing from a landing (if someone leaned on it, they would end up up the concrete drive) in addition to gouging the railing up the steps. And they didn't SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I've been talking to various managers at the story trying to get someone out to take a look at it, and fix it. I've sent them photos and been promised someone would check it out. Wednesday was the last straw. The person who was assigned to take care of it was "no longer here." After leaving a message for another manager I had talked to, I called back 3 hours later when I didn't hear from him, and asked for him, identifying myself. After being left on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and called back and was told "he's with a customer." I replied, "what about the customer who's already bought an expensive refrigerator from you and has a problem?" The operator couldn't (or wouldn't) give me the name of the regional manager or a complaint number for corporate. I've filed a claim with my homeowners insurance (which I probably should have done immediately) and I will never step in this store nor do business with them ever again. I'm also reassessing where I do business for my home improvement projects. read more

I have tried for several days to set up my carpet installation with this Lowes. Day one they called so I returned the call within 20 minutes and could not get anyone in the flooring department to answer no matter how many times I called or how many times the customer service representatives transferred me. It wasn't until 4 hours later that they transferred me to painting department? I'm trying to order carpet! The gentleman informed me that the flooring guy had left for the day and would not return until the following morning at 7am. At least he could give me a answer that the lazy customer service department could not!!!! I call the next morning around 8:30am only to be told by customer service that their phone lines were down and that they could not page anyone in the store. Fast forward to 2 hours later and many many phone call attempts to no avail. One Customer service representative told me that the flooring employee had to run out the store because of a family emergency and then tried to transfer me to another department where the phone rang for around 5 minutes before I was hung up on. I called back to customer service multiple times before they would answer (I'm guessing they didn't want to deal with me anymore? Seriously lacking in anything customer service related). They finally answer and I explain what I have went through the past 2 days just trying to tell them my carpet choice so I can get an estimate and install. The new customer service employee that I spoke to told me that in fact the flooring employee was just on lunch and would return in 45 minutes. I asked about his "family emergency" that the other customer service rep had explained to me not even 10 minutes prior to speaking with her and she could not give me a straight answer. I had to leave a message and just HOPE that someone at this store knows what they are doing and I get a call back. They hire people with no experience in anything home repair/remodel, gardening, plumbing, or electrical. You cant know too much going to work at Lowes because then you might actually be able to HELP someone! Wouldn't that go against all of Lowe's Hardware's policy!!
