Attention: All Oklahoma 100% Service Connected disabled veterans and their household family members who are authorized to purchase sales tax exempt by the State of Oklahoma since 2006. You can go online to the Oklahoma Tax Commission's website and verify all of this yourself. Issue: Lowe's in Yukon has implemented new checkout procedures. Now, you have to scan your driver's license. But because the family member's driver's license doesn't match the veterans name.....NO CAN DO. When I brought this to the attention of assistant Manager Jennifer (in my opinion a bully and a narcissist) she said I was wrong, dead wrong. They are not allowed to make exempt purchases period. We argued and I tried to show her the family member card and download from the Oklahoma Tax Commission's website proving it and she loudly said NO!, it's tax fraud.! That's the store rules cased closed type of thing. According to Lowe's assistant Manager bully Jennifer on December 18, 2024, family members are not allowed to make purchases tax exempt for the veteran. It's tax fraud. She obviously has no clue what the tax laws state, but boy was she adamant that she did! She even brought in another cohort bully to back her up. I don't intimidate easily. Her and her cohort refuse to even let me talk to the overall store manger. As the other one (bully cohort) said to me when I called back the next day to speak with the store manger "Jennifer and I know your phone number and when you call no one's taking your calls and we will NEVER let you speak to her (store manager) NEVER!! They definitely don't want their boss aware of this interaction. Mistake I think. Now they have the OTC and a State Congressman getting ready to inquire about this blatant disregard of our State tax laws. Bully Manager Jennifer should have elevated this to her store manager on the 18th or 19th of December. I know if I was the store manager I would have liked a heads up that we have an issue with our new checkout system as it pertains to authorized family members being locked out of the military discount and tax exemption. Hopefully, the Yukon Lowe's store will remedy this situation and start allowing authorized card holding family members to start buying for their family members again as they did before at this very same store since 2006. It's Christmas time in Yukon Lowe's. How about letting these family members, who in a lot of cases are buying for their homebound or bedridden veteran who sacrificed it all for our great Country and our fellow Americans, purchase tax exempt again? You won't even give family members the military discount either under this new, but very discriminating checkout procedure. I am a 100% service connected veteran since 1999 who served his country honorably for 25 years. I had a brain injury before I left active duty service and my brain cells are now attacking each other and the process is literally eating my brain away (atrophy) and the staggering disabilities that come with it are affecting everything in our day-to-day lives. It is important to me that my household family members be able to purchase exempt for me and to receive my Lowe's military discount as well. I will sleep better knowing this bully Manager doesn't harass my loved ones every time they try to make an exempt purchase. To be accused by bully Manager Jennifer of trying to commit tax fraud was offensive and disgusting. She and her cohort should be ashamed of themselves. I don't know for sure the cohorts name. She covered her name tag during the interaction. I provided proof (downloaded from Oklahoma's Tax Commission website) to John a manager at the Yukon Lowe's store on December 20, 2024. Normally, I would have good things to say about this store. BUT, recently I placed an online order for lumber from this store. They offered same day delivery - Great - right? First, I guess I missed that I was paying $69 for that, but, ok, it is the same day. What I did not know is that this is kind of like Door Dash. Someone out there has a pickup truck and has an app. they get the order and go to the store to pick up th elumber and deliver it. According to the store manager, the driver picked it out. But, it had a tag on the order with my name as if the store had prepared it. Anyway, when the order arrived, one of the boards was trashed. I was a 2x12x8. there was a crack that started on one end and ran 5 ft of th e8 ft length. When I called the store, there was no problem, they promised they could ahve someone out to swap it out as early as Tuesday ( this is all happening on Friday). They claimed to not have anyone available to drive a pickup truck 10 miles there and back. I was already speaking to a manager, so I asked for his boss. She supposedly is on vacation. She works for corporate. So, I called corporate - to no avail. Same answer. If I could bring it in, they could replace it now - but if I could bring it in, then I would have picked it up in the first place (and selected a good piece of lumber). After it became clear that they would not budge, I told them that they could pick the whole order up - it will be sitting in the yard right where their driver (contractor?) unloaded it. I will order replacement lumber from Home Depot. For other Lowes products, I'll drive to Mustang. read more

This is the best customer service experience I've ever had. I would highly recommend this Lowes to literally anyone. The paint department was extremely kind and eager to help me figure out what was going on with the paint I had purchased. The returns people were wonderful, helping me figure out the return so I could fix my house. I really appreciate the kindness they extended towards me as well as my daughter. It's upsetting we weren't able to fix the problem, but their kindness helped ease the loss. This store is overwhelming but there are usually associates available to help out. The gardening section is usually my favorite! There's so much to see and so many options to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful and there are lots of staff available near the front. The store has been around for so long I forget it's there, but when I have a home need its very conveniently located in the heart of Yukon. read more

This was a nice Lowe's. It's very far from my house but I don't get out to Yukon vey often. They didn't have the orange colored bell pepper plants that we wanted. The garden center seemed a bit smaller or maybe had less variety than I'm used to. I would recommend this store to anyone with a project. read more

My father is a Vietnam veteran, and he's been using Lowe's exclusively since Home Depot phased out it's military discount. Typically at this location, all my father had to do was show his military ID for a quick 10% off the total. "Don't buy that at Wal-Mart, go to Lowe's and use the discount" is something I've heard my folks say dozens of times, especially when buying large items. Anyway, we came in the other day, and they wouldn't give him the discount unless he registered for it online (a great option for older veterans who don't use computers!). The other option involved standing in line at Customer Service for 15 minutes and being asked a series of bizarre questions, like "What was your discharge date?". Are they just moving towards phasing out the discount altogether? The whole thing was needlessly complicated and felt like a giant middle-finger to active and retired military. I will say that the selection and the employees at this location are excellent, and when we expressed how absurd all this was, several of the employees agreed emphatically. read more

We made an appointment with Samantha to get new kitchen cabinets. She was amazing and listened to what we wanted. She also made sure we were able to get a few discounts they were offering. I went in to buy the dewalt 10 piece tool set that say take the flier and pay for it up front so I took it upfront and paid for it they went to go get it and then they said they don't have it now after I paid for it they didn't offer to give me a rain check on the product or to try to get all the different tools that were in separate boxes instead they had me go to the returns to refund me the money I just spent and I have to wait 3 days for it to go back into my account. read more

Customer service is horrible. We needed help with plumbing for our bathroom sink. We asked the fellow on that isle that was putting away freight, he said he couldn't help us but another guy could. That fellow was busy with another customer so they paged out for someone to help. Another guy shows up one isle over. The first guy we talked to asked him to help us and he told him "they will have to wait for someone else" He then turned around and saw me standing there. He was going to print a label. When I am moved to Yukon, I wanted most of the carpet taken out and new flooring put in. I went to Lowe's in Yukon and told them what kind of vinyl I wanted. He said he would send a man out to see how much I needed. He called and told me he had a contractor on the way. I came home And the contractor said he couldn't put vinyl down Because I had tile at three different places and he could not butt up against the tile that was there, and make it look right. So I had to go back and buy tile which cost me $1200 more. The contractor, (which was not a certified contractor) Called me and said he had the carpet tore out but he needed $2000 more or he was going to walk. I said I will call Lowe's and see what's going on, and he said if I did he was walking now. Since There was nothing on my bare concrete floor I had to give him two Thousand dollars right then. When I came home they had the tile halfway down and I talked to one of the tile installers. He told me they could've put the vinyl down with no problem at all because he said he does that all the time. The so-called contractor just wanted two thousand dollars more. Lowes would not stand behind it, since I had already paid them installation, and I was told the contractor does what he wants and Lowe's does not have any control over him. So I ended up paying $3200 for Tile that I really do not like! I found out that Lowe's hires a contractor and uses his number to let someone who is not a contractor do the work! read more

Last weekend Saturday Nov 18th at 6pm cst I was in lowes to buy some 2x4's to reenforce my fence. I get to the lumber and couldnt find a heave duty cart for the wood. After 10 minutes of searching i find a cart and grab my wood. I go to the back and push the service button because i needed to cut the wood. 10 minutes later still no one to help me cut the wood. dissappointed i go to the front and ask the cashier and she tells me the wood guy is out to lunch. I go to the front of the store and ask to speak to the manager 5 mins pass and still no manager. Mind you i have now been in the store for over 15mins. I left after that and swore to never return.As i am leaving i notice probably every heavy duty cart in the parking so i guess thats where all the carts were go figure. You can't hardly find anyone to help you and when you do they don't tell what all you need. We ordered blinds and and when they hadn't arrived and we followed up they were never ordered. Then they didn't get info to install them correct either causing another delay. Overall took over a month longer then originally told. Worst experience ever at this location. My husband went to Lowe's today looking for a nail gun and couldn't get anyone to help him. After waiting around for 15 minutes for assistance this employee by the name Mike walked by him. When my husband asked Mike (the Lowe's employee) where the wireless staple gun was mike responded with, "well did you look for them" Instead of the great customer service Lowe's says they have Mike was not only rude but very unprofessional. My husband and I went into Lowes in Yukon Oklahoma yesterday, and we left very upset. First off, NONE of the workers would help my husband load 10 4x4s into our cart. We finally found one young worker to help us out. He seemed to be the ONLY ONE doing anything at all around the store! Every other worker seemed to turn around and walk away when I approached them to ask for assistance. We got the 4x4s loaded into the cart and we went to load up concrete on the way to the check out line. A Lowes employee approached us and said we did not need to load up the concrete, and that he would send someone to help us load it. We continued to the check out and purchased all of our items 10, 4x4s and 15 bags of 80 pound concrete. We waited for about 30 minutes for someone to help us load our items into our trailer and workers just kept walking by and ignoring us. So WE finally started loading the stuff by ourselves, and Lowes employees were standing around watching me help my husband load stuff into our truck! (of course he wouldn't let me lift the 80 pound bags of concrete so I only helped with the 4x4s) He had to go all the way back and load the concrete by himself from the shelf since the worker never brought any up like he told us he would, and then he had to turn around and load it all by himself into the truck as well! We are so displeased with this store and we will NOT be returning here for future purchases! read more

This is the second time I have had issues trying to return an item. I went in this afternoon and stood in return line for ten-fifteen minutes Two other customers that came in after me walked around to the registers on the other side and were waited on right away. Three customer service reps looked at me, but walked away, never acknowledging that I was there. I left and drove to the Mustang store and was in and out in less than 5 minutes.
