This took place in February or March 2026, and it's now early May, so unfortunately I don't remember the repairman's name, as I would definitely give him kudos for his workmanship & pleasant demeanor. The repairman who came out was very efficient & candid about what had happened & what needed to be done. It ended up being a particular fuse that sat immediately behind the control panel had failed, & it just required replacement. There was an entire litany of things that could've gone wrong with it, & he could've quoted me on several of those things, replaced them & charged me exorbitantly for the parts & labor. But... he did not. He was very honest with me & even educated me a little while he checked other parts ( mainly a different fuse on the back of the oven ) to make sure they were functional before he left. I most certainly would use Adam's Appliance Repair. Unfortunately for Yelp, I won't be needing their services in seeking an appliance repair service company - I've found who I'm sticking with hereafter!!

I made an appointment and was given a time window of 3 hrs and told someone would call me 30 min before arriving. They arrived 2 hrs past the appt time making excuses about a vehicle breaking down. Only to walk in turn on the dryer and say, "you need new rollers, we'll have to come back tomoro". So we set the time for between noon and 1, and they left. That time came and went. So At 1:30 I call the main # and was transferred to a voice mail where I left a message. About 5 min later the "technician" returned my call making more excuses and said he would arrive in a few min. I said I have somewhere to be at 3:30, and asked if he would arrive and complete the repair before that. I was told no, that's about when he would arrive. That's quite a few min... again I rescheduled for 9am the next morning. The repair guy arrived at 9:30 and began taking my dryer apart. He then determines that he was given the wrong part, it was backwards. He needed to go back into the city to get the right one, which took almost 2 hrs. In the end he hands me a bill for 155$. When I ask about my service charge of 55$ that was supposed to be credited he said that it covered my "diagnostic fee". 55$ for them to walk in and turn my dryer on... That's the cherry on top in the **** sundae.

This greatly affected my budget as We had to eat out (family of 4) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the entire time because I was told that we had to unplug my refrigerator until the new part came in. With the cost that I spent on the part and the food for the family I could have bought a new refrigerator. Very frustrating. The only redeeming feature is that once I was able to speak with the someone they were kind, but I didn't get a discount for all of my trouble.
