My wife and I went here today since we're moving to the surrounding area. We did see all the bad reviews BUT decided to give it a try and give them the benefit of the doubt. This was a bad idea, the place has just opened up and there's was only two technicians there; man and a woman. We came for much needed pedicures that seem to be overpriced and service was very mediocre at best. So all the reviews you read are accurate. Nice people but bad work. read more

If you check out my Yelp reviews, you'll see I am a huge fan of the Nouvelle nail salon in Atlanta (mid-town area). However, this nail salon is about 1.6 miles from where I live and I was in desperate need of an acrylic nail fill so I decided to check it out and just hope for the best. I should've expected the worst, because that's basically what I got. I called in advance to make an appointment, unsure how busy they would be after 5 p.m. on a weekday. When I showed up right at my appointment time, I was told to wait. It was kind of crowded in the there, so I figured I'd stand (hoping to also make a statement about not enjoying a "wait" after making an appt). About 5 minutes passed and I was "encouraged" to take a seat. So I muscled my way down to one of the chairs by the door and waited. My appointment started off about 15 minutes late. A TV was blaring in the background and there were two little boys (who belonged to someone who worked there) running around and making a lot of noise toward the back of the salon. I was totally unimpressed and unrelaxed, but figured I could withstand the salon long enough for the fill, now that'd I'd waited for the appt to start. The woman who filled my nails was not thorough at all and the acrylic fill looked terrible. When I say terrible -- my husband (who could care less about such things) asked me the next time he saw me: "What's wrong with your nails? It looks like you tried to fill them yourself and give yourself a french manicure." And yep, that literally sums it up. Uneven nails (which I asked her to fix twice, and still didn't get them appropriately filed down), uneven french tips, and a shoddy fill overall. And it still cost me $21 before any tip. She spent about 20 minutes doing the entire fill, which should tell you something. As I was waiting for my nails to dry, the woman next to me asked what I thought of my service. I told her I wasn't impressed, but I had come in in a pinch. She said this was her second day in a row there -- because her mani wasn't done correctly the first time, and she still thought it looked terrible after round two. There is a new co-owner! That's point number one. I took my daughter in today for a simple FIVE-YEAR-OLD manicure and pedicure. The ventilation was so bad that I couldn't stay. I actually met my wife there and I had to just leave due to the overwhelming smell in this place. My wife was already in the midst of her pedicure, so she agreed to allow my daughter to be serviced. Get this...the co-owner actually turned OFF the AC and that was the general cause of lack of ventilation and the smell. At the end of the experience, my wife was expecting an $8-10 amount for my daughter and was slapped with a $14 fee. They didn't even wash my daughters feet prior to painting her nails. LOL - needless to say they WILL NOT be back and I would suggest that anyone visiting this place agrees to (children's) fees PRIOR to an actual service. Just a friendly FYI. We believe in paying for great service, but painted toes with no foot wash and a cost of $14 is CRAZY. Haha. O well, lesson learned. Thanks for reading and find a new salon. read more

If I could give lower than one star, I would. Where do I even begin. When I walked in on a Friday afternoon, one lady was in there getting her nails done and that was it. THAT was enough indication right there that I should go somewhere else but since it's close to where I needed to be, I stayed. The lady in the first station to the right was the one who helped me. She was on the phone damn near the whole time she was doing my nails until the business she was speaking with hung up on her. Needless to say, she was furious and hurried to get done with me so she could call them back. Yep - you guessed it - her phone call was more important than what my nails would look like for my 12 year anniversary!!!! When she asked me what color I wanted, I told her yellow and she talked so bad about it that if I was a weak individual, I would've been like never mind. What I later found was that no one in there knows how to use the yellow gel polish!!!!!!! Every nail salon I've been to puts white as the base so the yellow will look nice. I HATE MY NAILS AND MY PEDICURE WAS HORRIBLE AS WELL!!!!! Some little girl did my pedicure and she was a shaky ass mess. She looked terrified and I doubt that she is even licensed based on the way she was looking. She damn near took my toe nail OFF trying to take my polish off from a previous pedicure I had. Any skilled nail tech knows, you're supposed to use acetone on cotton and wrap the foil around the toe for several minutes to soften the old gel polish for removal NOT use a drill to get all the polish off!!!!!!!!!!! And the guy who painted my toenails acted like he had an attitude about having to put three coats of polish because he didn't know to use white as the base coat either. He acted like he was doing me some special favor by putting three coats of polish when the cheap polish needed to be thrown in the trash - PERIOD!!!Needless to say, I was annoyed as hell. Then as they are putting the top coat on my toes, I see a FREAKING ROACH crawl from under the bag that had the tools in them. I was DONE AND WONT BE BACK!!!!!! Please look at the picture of these ugly nails after five days. They use cheap products and they really should be closed down because they don't know what they're doing. read more

Look me forever to just get a fill-in, I waited 2 hours, seriously? I walked up to the front told them what i wanted then they told me to wait a hour, I did. They sat me down at a unclean station, nail dust and tools everywhere. I waited for another hour, I couldn't leave because they started filling my nails, that's messed up. This business is unclean, unprofessional and unorganized. I walked in at 10:25a. There was one woman waiting. As I started to sign in on their computer, an employee told me not to, asked which services I wanted and asked to sit down and wait. Cool. While waiting, the woman before me was called and then three other women entered. About 5 minutes later, I was called back but the employee was about to sit me a basin that had not been cleaned - the plastic was still wet and obviously not changed out. He asked me to sit at a manicure station while it was changed out. As I sat, one of the women who entered after me was seated at a clean basin. Then as they started to sit the other two women, I reminded them that I was there first and still waiting. The manager said ok but continued to sit the women - one of them at the dirty basin at which someone else tried to initially sit me. After being disregarded and realizing they hadn't asked not one person to wash their hands or adhered to any safety protocols to prevent COVID-19 spread (employees with masks below noses or on chin and not using every other seat), I decided to leave. I had visited this business once before and the service was mediocre - gel started chipping two days later - but they are conveniently located to my house so I figured I'd give them another try - NEVER AGAIN! I ended up driving a little further to Allure Nails & Spa off of Bill Arp and I was immediately greeted, they took names down as customers entered, had them wash their hands before service AND had plexi glass sneeze guards at the manicure stations. read more

I did not enjoy my experience. The person doing my nails got up and left several times while in the middle of doing my nails. So it took way longer than I needed to. I'm not sure the person even spoke to me. I didn't enjoy it and I don't enjoy their other salon so it makes sense. read more

I'll never come back to this place . The woman doing my nails clearly did what she wants to do. I asked up front did they have straight nail tip and colored acrylic and she said yes. When she pulled out the tips they're curved . I just decided to get them short because I don't like the curve look. Then she pulls out the regular clear acrylic after I asked for nude and had the Audacity to tell me she preferred to do jell polish because it's easier to take off when I come back I'm neverrrrrrrrrr going back!!! 50$ for short ugly egg looking nails I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE REVIEWS read more

WORST NAIL JOB EVERRR!! My daughter went to get manicure and pedicure for prom. The person who did her nails was awful. The worst nail job. The polish was thick and lumpy and uneven. Look like a child did it. We had to go to another salon to get her nails done for the prom. A lady at the other salon we went too, had her nails done at the same place the day before and was very upset with the service. First and last time coming to this salon. They are not good at all. My nails are thick and not natural looking at all. Also, the gel polish is all over my cuticles. They are so uneven. Thieves!!! I've been coming to this shop almost a year. Fairly decent service although over-priced. I come because it's close to my home. I bring my own pedicure supplies because i never see them clean their tools. The other day I dropped my daughter off for a pedicure here. They over charged her card and took advantage of her because they knew she was a teenager. The nail technician lied and said she put a nail on my daughters' 2 big toes but she didn't. Her total was supposed to be about 35 dollars. They charged her 54 dollars and refused to fix it. I spoke with them on the phone very calmly and he tried to tell me that the credit card was just holding a certain amount and it should go to the amount that it should be later. From a 35 dollar charge the bank wouldn't hold 54 dollars. They simply STOLE MONEY FROM A CHILD. So her dad went there and told her just don't sign the receipt and the shop owner called the police for my family to be harassed. He could've easily given her 21 dollars in cash back and told her to just sign the receipt. But this is an expensive nail shop and they've ripped my family off twice. There won't be a third time. They take from people and then if u say something they cry to the police. We have the money and don't have to leave without paying as they tried to lie and tell the police but nobody is signing a receipt for charges that aren't correct! read more

This place of business is by far the WORST! I've never in my life received such poor service. 3 weeks ago I came in for a fill-in and pedicure. I got there at 11AM and didn't leave until 3PM. Chi Chi was the person who did my fill-in. On SEVERAL occasions she reiterated how the designed that I asked for was going to be expensive. If I didn't have the money I wouldn't have been there. Then she proceeded to quote the actual price and when I tell her okay that's fine she ask if I was sure. I was highly offended but I let it slide in good faith. Fast forward to Sunday, I called and they were "busy" so the person on the phone told me to come at 4:30PM if I specifically wanted Chi Chi to do my nails. I sat there for 2 hours and watched her take 2 people AHEAD of me. Then she went to go grab a 3 person and had the nerve to ask me to wait until she finished them. No thank you, I got up and left. That leads me to today 6/3/21 I call at 5 o'clock and ask to make an appointment with Chi Chi for 5:45 the guy places me on hold and comes back and said can you come at 6 instead. I say that'll be fine being that traffic is a little heavy. I get there at 6 and she's polishing someone's nails. Once she's done they sit someone else at her station so I ask what's up with my 6 o'clock appointment. She ask if im waiting on the lady that's sitting beside me and I don't told her no I drove my own car. She then proceeds to tell me they don't take appointments. Mind you someone told me to be there for 6. Mike the bald headed older guy disregards me and tells her to go ahead and service the person that's sitting at her station. As if my time isn't important. One thing about it I don't have to beg anybody to take my money. Everyone in there is slow and very unprofessional. I went there out of convenience because trust me the quality of the work isn't that good. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Also beware they run Jadore Nails in Douglasville. If I can give this place a negative -0 I would. When I first arrive I was great it I let her know that I want it a pedicure and a full nail set. The lady say OK I just thought it walking off then I realize I guess I was supposed to be following her. she sits me down in a chair then a guy and a lady she walk over and just stared working on me without greeting me or asking me how I want my nails or which pedicure I wanted. So the guy finally ask how I want my nails I show him a Picture and notify him that I want my Pinky nails stiletto and the rest of my nails coffin. He said OK and proceeded to do his work. As he was applying the nails I noticed all the nails are long and curvy and I'm used to straight now so I let him do what he was doing. When he started Fallin my nails I noticed he wasn't doing it right. I was trying to show him the difference and he got a nasty attitude and threw my hands and said am trying. Oh no am not pay all this money for the messed up job and nasty customer service. I went back off on him. You give respect to those who give it. He walk off so the own sends his wife over to fix it but when she approach me she was basically trying to explain why my nails look like that and I had to let her know that was bullshit. I've been getting my nails done for years I usually drive an hour to get my nails done I was just trying to cut down my driving time so talk to like I don't how my nails supposed to look. The owner came over and try to fix it but by that time I was over it and ready to go I been there for two hours. Then on top of that the lady was doing my feet was ruff as heck I had to tell her to stop picking up my feet and dropping it down hard. She went to speaking another language and I had to get her straight that was disrespectful. She hurt my big toes several times and never said sorry and my toes nails were ugly as hell. This place is the absolute worst! This is the second time I've been here and they weren't that great the first time but I thought I've give them a second chance because I didn't feel like driving to my regular nail shop at the mall. I got gel nails and the guy who did my nails clearly didn't know what he was doing! I am greatly disappointed because I left out looking like I did my own nails and paid $25 for it! UGGHH!! My regular nail tech is 30 mins away so I thought because this was near to my house I would get a quick pedicure. My nails looked like I had painted them myself! She messed up my polish and instead of wiping to off and redo it she put a whole bunch of topcoat to try and make it look good. I left this nail salon and made the drive to my regular nail tech. Went to go get my eyebrows "waxed" and she only waxed the bottom of my brows like the top of eyebrows are where most of my hairs are at and she charged me $10 for a horrible job , never going there again I don't recommend it , now I have to go home and do them myself read more

This place doesn't deserve one star. I went there once for a color change and the experience didn't wow me, but I wasn't there for long. I went back to have my nails soaked off. I have been wearing acrylic nails for over 10 years, so I'm no stranger to having them soaked off in acetone from time to time. This time, the acetone was so cold that I couldn't sit because there was a fan hanging from the ceiling that blew directly on me. I let the nail tech know that the acetone was too cold and I needed to be moved. Long story short, we shared words, she blew up, then told me I could just leave. Before I walked out, another tech walked up to me saying it would be $5. I'm like for what?!?!! Needless to say, I left the shop with the same nails I came with and polish all over my hand. read more

The owner worked on both my nails and toes. She's very sweet and made me feel welcomed. My daughter came in with me to get a pedicure, but got turned down because she had a nail fungus. I respect this decision of theirs because seems to me like this salon cares about customers' well-beings. This is one of the only places that their gels stayed on for over two weeks! Terrible service today. Very busy so I expected a wait. One of the ladies walked over to me and said 5 more min at least 4 times. Lol. Then, I kid you not, she brought me a jar of nail polish remover and asked me to take my polish off while I waited. I can't believe I stayed but it was entertaining in there at this point. Apparently a lady had been waiting with her feet in some water for a long time because she said her feet were cold! The lady doing my nails was called over to her while she was doing my nails to get her a towel. The lady explained to the customer that the man doing her feet was in the back eating. Then the young manager proceeded to fuss the lady out in another language for being rude to the lady with the cold feet! I know he was because as the lady was finishing my nails she told me about it. Going there last night made me remember why I stopped and I will never go again. The place needs a overall scrubbing! I watched a nail tech with blue tips in her hair. Clean the pedicure bowl and her supplies with just hot water. I seen 2 bugs I wanted to stop the man in the middle of the pedicure and tell him to just polish my feet I felt like my feet were just in a bath of germs. This place is horrible!!!!! I only went there because the shop I usually go to was close. I went to get a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax! The man who did my nails did ok. The other man did my feet and he didn't know what he was doing. He polish my feet three times and kept removing the polish. So the lady came over and tried to polish over what he had already done. It was horrible!!!!!! The lady told me to come to the back so she can wax my eyebrows!!!! The worse decision I could have made! When I got back there I was trying to tell her I do not like thin short eyebrows and she gave me just that!! She told me to shut up, sit down and she never mess up anybody eyebrows. One of my eyebrows was completely gone! My brows was so thin! I ask for the manager he gave me money back for the eyebrows but that didn't do any justice because you can't put hair back on brows. Out of all the nail salons I've been to this place does the best nails and eyebrow waxing ... The other places I've been to the nails would break off within the 2 weeks of having them or even stretching them out a month they wouldn't make it but here the nails went a whole month without breaking off ... I get more compliments on my nails when I get them done from here than I have from anywhere else .. It was a rough start with this place but only due to misunderstanding between the owner and I and they don't seem overly friendly at first and don't talk to much like the other salons but after you've gone a few times and they get to know you they open up a little more .. Bobby is especially a fun one who makes you laugh and talks but even with the rough start and the threat of not going back and I actually did go to other salons but I have came back to this place and plan to keep going here because they do such a great job on my nails and eyebrows and I never leave from there not liking my nails ... read more
