Update: This place seems to have gone down hill since my initial review. Sad, as I'm not sure what happened. Called several times to confirm in-stock items, phone always goes to voicemail. Voicemail says you can also TEXT them for service. OK, cool. I text to confirm availability, receive one word responses of "ok" "no" and "ok." It's like, I'm about to drop $600+ at this place and you can't answer the phone or respond professionally to texts? Finally drive over there on a Friday to find the place closed (as in, FENCE closed, CHAINED UP, in the middle of the day, on a Friday?) Ended up going up the street to SOS Auto Repair for a brake job and tires and spent $1,000. L&R, get your act together before you start losing more customers. read more

Do not go to these people. I have over 4000.00 in repairs on 2 vehicles by their credit . One they never fixed had towed to junk yard and billed me over 2000. My other car whom they supposedly changed the catalytic converter was never done another 2000. A friend looked at it said was still factory converter. I took it to a shop and they verified it was and was never changed. They gave me that in writing. My husbands truck that got junked on the paper work to the credit company said was 4 tires put on my car not what they did to his truck. the paper work didn't even have make and model they were working on nor mileage. They had the truck 2 months. when hubby picked it up 3 miles down the road it broke down had to have it towed back. we asked them did they not test drive it they said no. This is undoubtedly the best car shop in the area. I have been there numerous times to get my and my girlfriend's car serviced, and the guys there always do a spectacular job at a fair price point. What truly makes them stand out is their kindness. Laz and the staff have never been dishonest or insincere with me; they always ask if prices are okay and wait for my signal to proceed with any kind of maintenance. Visit the shop and you'll see. My girlfriend has witnessed Laz help an elderly woman who was so overjoyed and grateful for his help that it's difficult to put into words. Bigger and more recognizable businesses don't have a grasp on the importance of developing a rapport and instilling a want to return time after time, which is why I happily refer everyone that I can to this place. You won't be disappointed. They only downside is that the parking lot isn't nearly big enough to support all the customers that flood in every morning! Looks like word is getting out! Lazaro (the owner) is nothing but a con artist. He sold me tires that were not appropriate for my vehicle and after I went to the dealer and another independent mechanic, both agreed that these tires were not for my vehicle which was causing the vehicle to bounce and vibrate and made it unsafe to drive. I went to Lazaro several times trying to resolve the issue amicably, but he kept insisting that the tires were fine and refused to refund my money or replace the tires. Now Shannon Benken will probably pay him a visit, and everyone will know NOT to deal with this business. I ended up going elsewhere to have the tires replaced and had no further issue with my vehicle, proving that it was indeed the tires causing the problem. I just need now to take these POS tires and shove them up his ass. read more

Amateur repair shop. I've been here a few times for tire balancing and once for alignment. Pricing is cheap, but quality of work is poor. The guy who aligned my car left fasteners loose and after 1000 miles my tires were worn and the car didn't track straight. I brought it back to them and they said it was over a month (6 weeks) and they wouldn't help me. I was uneasy letting them work on my car to begin with, it seems the gut feeling I had was accurate. This place sucks. Avoid. Update: 6 weeks went by because I was out of town for over a month. Less than 1000 miles of highway driving were put on the car before I had issues. I explained this to Fernando, who was very pleasant to deal with every time I was there, including this visit. The car drove fine after the alignment and I saw the alignment sheet you gave me. That was not part of the problem. After having it aligned correctly by someone else (Advance Performance on Linebaugh Ave), I was notified that the fasteners were in fact not tight enough and everything was way off. WAY off into the red. Also my camber kit was not utilized correctly and 4 degrees of negative camber was left in my rear wheels. The shop that aligned it correctly got it down to 1 degree and it looks great. With the fasteners tight, tires are wearing correctly and the steering wheel and track are straight, and have been for thousands of miles. I understand that anything can happen to a car after a customer takes it and as a business it's frustrating to deal with this sort of thing. I wouldn't have taken the time to review if I thought there was a possibility that it was my fault. It was frustrating for me at the time I wrote the initial review to hear that you wouldn't help me after a short time. Not even an offer to take a look at what's going on. And honestly it's still frustrating to think about my steering wheel tracking further and further from center with every bump in the road. read more

They were all very nice and extremely helpful. I spent much less time and money here than if I had gone to the dealership, and to be honest I feel better having these guys do it. He began to lower the car, after my brother made him aware of what he was doing he realized it then switched the tires. If he had not said anything he would have drove off. When I got the car to test drive it myself. I noticed how the car was pulling hard to the right... after I had just paid for an alignment. When I contacted the Owner he was very short and rude. I told him that he had put my brother and my life in danger. His response was I can fix it or give you your money back..lack of customer service. After reading a couple bad reviews below I feel compelled to share my exceptional experience. Yesterday, 4/3/18 I brought my truck in to have the tires road forced balanced because the original shop that installed them tried twice to balance them and failed. Despite what the building looks like, the tire equipment at this shop looks new and is state of the art, professional grade, not amateurish as stated by other reviewers. I pulled up and was quickly greeted by a Tech named Fernando who proceeded to help me the through out the entire process. He was professional, patient and informative. During the balancing process he discovered the previous shop jury rigged the sensors inside the tires and they had broken off which was causing numerous problems such as noise and vibration. He broke the tires down, removed the problem, replaced the valve stems and rebalanced the wheels. The whole process took a couple hours and required him to work late. He never complained or had a bad attitude. After reinstalling the wheels the lugs were torqued correctly. His work was through and the truck rides like it is supposed to. This shop has earned my future business. I hope this review is helpful and you have a similar experience here. read more

Went to Kaufman tire on waters and those guys were ridiculous. Didn't even make eye contact and when I told them what the issue was, they said an hour and a half to just look at my car. It was a nail in the tire. Smh. Came here to L&R and they were super busy already but got me on the road again in 15 mins. Fernando took care of me and for a reasonable price as well. I found this place while looking for a good shop to change my front brake pads. They are very nice, polite, fast working, and knowledgeable. Their prices are very fair and they didn't try to upswell anything to me which is incredibly important after so many times having the dealerships try to make me buy new rotors when I didn't need them. A refreshing change for me and I will be returning and recommending them. read more

the mechanics are very honest and fast. i needed to change my four tires but the mechanic told me that only 1 of them was the problem. very honest man. good hombre. i bought all four anyways. got an alignment also and an oil change. the alignment was the best ever done to my car.
