A friend recommended this location and said to ask for Waldy. He was at the front desk when I got there and even though they were busy, he got me in for a tire patch within 90 minutes. My only complaint would be that it cost me $30. Where I'm from you don't have to pay for tire patches, as long as they're in the tread, which mine was. I looked up a few places after and the average cost was $10-$20. So I guess I paid for getting a quick and reliable service...? Otherwise a good experience. read more

This shop knows it's stuff, from my experience. I had them install my own rims, Michelin tires w balance and alignment. It all came out perfect and in exactly the amount of time they told me it would take: 3 hours. That tells me they did the work and didn't skimp. They balanced everything, changed over the pressure sensors and reinstalled with existing lug nuts. It looks beautiful. I will definitely return for any and all tire and rim needs. The waiting room is very comfortable and the restrooms are clean as a whistle. In addition, its very near to some great ethnic restaurants if you get hungry while waiting. These guys are awesome. I first used Wheel Tec November 2011, when I damaged my rims after riding into huge potholes. I called after hours and the owner, Jon told me to come on by and he waited for me to get there. It was dark out and he used my cell phone light to check out my wheels. Talk about dedication! We got a great deal on a new set of 22 inch rims for our SUV. I called back when I needed tires yesterday and one of the reps, Waldy was not only accommodating, but he also got me a great deal (my husband had already received quotes from several tire shops) on 4 tires. Buying aftermarket wheels can be confusing, and sometimes frustrating. Wheel Techs website is a big help. You can pick your wheel and tire and the site will show you what the combo looks like on your car. Jon took a lot of time finding a wheel that would fit our car,and look good. The prices aren't the lowest in town but the service made up for it. I personally don't mind paying a little more,if I'm being treated well,and we were. I watched Jon interact with other customers, and he took the time with everyone to make them feel important. After going to Tire Kingdom and having a bad experience I searched for good reviews and found this place. The show room is nice and things seem clean. There is a descent waiting room with a TV and a couch to chill on. I just came here to get my tire repaired after I ran over a nail. I made an appointment and came in on time however I still ended up waiting 1:30 to get my tire patched. ....why even make an appointment? I had to put my spare tire on and told them the flat tire was in the spare tire hub. After they patched the tire the repair man brought me outside and It was ready however he just put my tire back in the spare tire hub and didn't replace it. I had to go back inside because the guy didn't even have my car keys. The guy inside asked if the repair guy had changed the tire and I said no so I wait another 15 for them to change the tire. Overall my experience here felt disorganized and disappointing. I paid $32 to get a patch on my tire and the guy was gonna let me leave without switching my spare. Really? After they had switch the spare I got home to check the work. The tire was in the spare hub upside down and my trunk look all disheveled. When I put everything back together I found my spare tire hub handle was broken! When I came back they didn't want to fix it. This tire change has now cost me $232. read more

I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Jon and Wheel Tec. I live in Sarasota, about 60 miles from Tampa & Wheel Tec. I had to pick up my son at Tampa airport yesterday, and was intending to stop in at Wheel Tec to buy a replacement center cap for my Vossen wheels- one of the caps was missing. I had a flat tire on my way up to Tampa. AAA came and put on my donut spare and I made it to Wheel Tec about 40 minutes before my son's flight was to arrive. Jon took a look at the flat - there was a big nail in it, and the tire was beyond repair. Jon did not recommend driving all the way back to Sarasota on the donut, and as he had a replacement in stock, he offered to quickly mount the new tire on my car on the spot. He did the job personally. I was out the door in 20 minutes and at the airport in time to pick up my son. Jon turned what was a really stressful situation into a very calming experience. His shop is bright and clean, and the waiting area was very comfortable. He mentioned the shop is moving soon, perhaps to bigger space. I can understand it as surely his business is growing from the awesome service he provides! I brought in my company S550 on March 29 with a punctured rear tire on a Tow truck. We diagnosed the problem and find also cracks in the rear rims. Very Very Rare but in todays world surprises are dime a dozen....... The solution was to find 2 rear AMG Mercedes rims and as matter as well 4 new tires. The tires we selected based on the condition of the 2012 75000 miles S550, MICHELIN PILOT SPORT. The staff of wheeltec took the job on finding 2 used AMG rims. Had a balance issue with a new set of tires on my F-150. Another tire retailer could not/ would not correctly balance these brand new tires after 3 tries. Went to Wheel Tec and spoke with Waldy... he set me up with a Road Force balance done by Carlos... Absolutely fantastic! True professional, took very good care of my wheels, spent whatever time required to get a truly correct balance... What a difference! The staff at wheel tech is very friendly but dropped the ball when I had a vehicle in for tire replacement. I dropped the car off around 10 in the morning, the employee that took care of me said that it should be about 2-3 hours. I decided I could go grab some lunch burn a bit of time and come back. As it turned out I ended up getting busy and came back for the car at 4 o'clock. When I walked in the door I was surprised to find that the replacement tire was not even in the building yet. Luckily it showed up about 20 minutes later and I was of the store by 5. I gave this 2 stars because of the slow service. Also if you have my car all day and then you run late gettnig it back to me perhaps you could clean the wheels off before returning the car. Stepping up the service a bit would have earned you couple more stars. read more

I bought a a set of Savini wheels for my Audi a7 from Jon at a great price. The wheels were for a Mercedes Benz S550 but we were told by Savini these would fit my car. But as it turned out the rears were the wrong offset and didn't fit. Jon made this right. He took the rear wheels back which I didn't have mounted, paid for return shipping, got in touch with Savini, had the correct offset built and shipped to me at no additional cost. I was next door at Sunshine Animal Hospital when my car wouldn't start. When I walked over to Wheel Tec to see if they could help me, (with dog in hand) Jon offered to help me despite being busy with other customers. He provided another employee to jump start my car, helped direct me to a close-by auto parts store that replaced my battery, and ensured that I got back on the road quickly. Although this is not a direct review of Wheel Tec's service.... these guys did not have to help me to the extent that they did. Jon even said that if they don't put in your battery, he would do it at no charge to help me. If they would do this for me.... I can only imagine how they take care of their paying customers. FANTASTIC!! I had a lot of issues with another wheel company replacing my rims, after an accident. They gave me the run around for 6months that my tires unavailable & rims had been discontinued. I called Wheel Tech, spoke to Waldie & he tracked everything down. My tires arrived in 48hrs & rims in less than a week, from California no less. Wish I would of called him sooner. Waldie is great to deal with & will keep in contact with you every step of the way. (He also helped with all of the insurance company correspondence) read more

Horrible place! It looks nice when you walk in though, but they really don't know what they're doing! I went to in to look at rims and talked to the owner about a set that I liked. Unfortunately they weren't in stock, not a problem it was a Friday and he said he could have them in Monday morning so I set up an appointment for Monday. I go in on Monday, rims aren't they're neither is the owner. The flunky who apparently works for him says they'll be in tomorrow morning. So I go in the next morning, they are there. The owner says my car's first in line and it should only take a couple hours. So I wait, and wait and wait. After 4 hours it's finally done, I didn't get upset at that point. So, I pay my bill and he says the guy's gonna bring around for me. He brings out, I go check it out. First off the rims are filthy, but worst off there huge scratches on 2 of the wheel wells. At this point I'm fuming, I tell him he has pay this damage and refuses saying that they were there before the work was performed. We almost came to blows! DO NOT GO THERE FOR RIMS OR TIRES!!!!
