She recommended going online and booking a "Quick Start 2.0" lesson with one of the instructors they had. I created profiles for my wife and I on their website and booked the lesson. Another couple at our same level was added to make a 4some. We met with our instructor Scotty for the 2 hour lesson and he was AWESOME. We spent about an hour discussing the rules, scoring and running through a bunch of drills that taught us to say the score, serve, volley, where to stand, etc. He simplified everything and and we were ready for some game play. The 2nd hour we spent playing actual games and rotating partners. We could get in about 3 games going to 11 points along with instruction. I highly recommend a lesson. We paid $60 each, but learned so much. I also watched a video on YouTube explaining the scoring prior to my lesson, so it made it easier to understand. The place is busy, but the reservations make it well organized. We have since rented our own court and brought our kids to play. Court was $50 and paddles were $5 each for those that didn't have them.

The instructor did an excellent job explaining the game, the rules, and the practice drills, which helped build my confidence right from the start. The teaching approach was especially effective. We learned specific skills through drills and then immediately applied them in practice games, with the focus centered on the techniques and rules we had just learned. This made it easy to understand the game and see improvement quickly. There were players with different levels of experience, and after the practice sessions, teams were organized so everyone could continue learning and developing their skills during actual game play. The atmosphere was welcoming and supportive, with everyone focused on learning, reinforcing fundamentals, and improving their game.
